I Expect You To Die is a very good puzzle game that plays like escape the room kind of game. Gameplay is intuitive, puzzles are very logical and sometimes have an alternative solution. Also it has the best cinematic intro I've ever seen in a videogame)

The nature of a seated VR experience is taken advantage of, with every tiny bit of the game feeling extremely smooth and polished. There was also very little negative possibility space; solutions to the escape rooms were vast and branching, with a vague linear structure that could be approached from a variety of angles. Lastly, the humorous part of the game sincerely brought me joy; which is extremely rare in video games nowadays, I find. I don’t know what causes so many developers to have such dry senses of humor and direction, but whatever it is, the team behind I Expect you to Die avoided it. Expand

I really enjoyed this game, the puzzles felt hard but fair, and when I finally finished the game I felt so accomplished. Also the intro is amazing

I don't like the letter z, o the fact that the villain logo is a z makes me happy that i get to stop them. Also i have to poop but i don't want to get up.

Short and sweet, repetitive but not annoying for anyone that understands basic puzzles. People that are annoyed at it being confusing or hard are babies who don't know how to google things?

For a lot of games, the trade-off between power and portability from PC VR to standalone will be a matter of personal preference. In the case of I Expect You To Die, this is unquestionably the best way to play one of VR’s best puzzle games. Schell Games hasn’t sacrificed a slither of the original game’s charm in order to fit it onto the hardware. Zany puzzles and laughs await you in I Expect You To Die, making this one of Quest’s must-see launch titles.

I Expect You to Die provides everything I want in VR room escape type of game. Objects are easy to manipulate, the puzzles don't require great leaps of non-intuitive logic to solve, and the experience itself is quite entertaining. It can look spendy at full price, but it's on Steam so it' just a matter of waiting for a sale.

Another slight VR release that serves as an excellent proof of concept but disappoints by not following through. [Feb 2017, p.120]
