    Only fun if you are psychic or just enjoy repeating the same levels over and over. The whole game is trial and error. The levels all have steps you have to figure out and do in a specific order. Usually if you do something wrong you will instantly die and have to start the level all over again. Or if you do something too slowly you will die and have to start the level all over again.Only fun if you are psychic or just enjoy repeating the same levels over and over. Example: In one level you have to make a chemical that eats metal. It requires reading a poster to find the correct combination of colored vials, then making a batch of colored vials, then grabbing the correct combination of colored vials, then putting them all in the mixing machine, then pressing a button, then finally grabbing the final mixture. And the very end of the level, the game gives you about 10 seconds to make a 2nd batch of the stuff unexpectedly. So if you didn't happen to know ahead of time that you would need the mixture again, you will fail because of running out of time and have to do the ENTIRE mission over again. The whole game is full of moments like this where if you don't already know exactly what to do within seconds, guess what, you're doing the whole level over again.… Expand

    As much as I would like, this game did not get my interest for long. The levels are pretty unique, gameplay might appeal to some, but compatibility with Oculus on PC was terrible and I got bored after the 3 first maps. It's more of a preference, so if you are into escape room/problem solving it could be interesting. Yet, for me i prefer less static gameplay.

    For a lot of games, the trade-off between power and portability from PC VR to standalone will be a matter of personal preference. In the case of I Expect You To Die, this is unquestionably the best way to play one of VR’s best puzzle games. Schell Games hasn’t sacrificed a slither of the original game’s charm in order to fit it onto the hardware. Zany puzzles and laughs await you in I Expect You To Die, making this one of Quest’s must-see launch titles.

    I Expect You to Die provides everything I want in VR room escape type of game. Objects are easy to manipulate, the puzzles don't require great leaps of non-intuitive logic to solve, and the experience itself is quite entertaining. It can look spendy at full price, but it's on Steam so it' just a matter of waiting for a sale.
