My favorite metroidvania, the combat is simple yet effective, the freedom you have in exploring the world is amazing ( i recommend checking out game maker's toolkit's about it ) and the story of world is captivating, my only big problem is the pantheon of hallownest including every boss, including the bad and boring ones and i wished it only included the best and difficult bosses.… Expand

    Hollow Knight certamente foi um dos jogos mais interessantes que já joguei em minha vida toda, e sem dúvidas alguma está em meu top 03 jogos favoritos.
    Com uma história muito rica em que você pode descobrir toda a narrativa jogando o jogo e prestando atenção nos diálogos e ações as quais você decide fazer, você vai conseguindo compreender cada vez mais o que acontece ao seu redor.
    Os    Hollow Knight certamente foi um dos jogos mais interessantes que já joguei em minha vida toda, e sem dúvidas alguma está em meu top 03 jogos favoritos.
    Com uma história muito rica em que você pode descobrir toda a narrativa jogando o jogo e prestando atenção nos diálogos e ações as quais você decide fazer, você vai conseguindo compreender cada vez mais o que acontece ao seu redor.
    Os cenários os quais são feitos para que a história se passe são únicos, cheios de detalhes, e com uma trilha sonora magnifica.
    Cada personagem apresentado durante o jogo é único, tendo sua importância e distinção.
    Os inimigos do jogo também são únicos, cada um tendo sua função.
    Além disso, como foi-se feito durante praticamente todo o jogo, existe uma gama alta de opções as quais podemos escolher, desde entregar uma simples flor para um determinado personagem que não necessariamente deveria recebe-la, até a escolher um dos três finais que o jogo nos proporciona.

    Este jogo certamente acertou em tudo que ofereceu, e para quem realmente se dedicou à ele sabe que não há prazer maior do que o de passar pelo Palácio Branco e chegar na sala do trono onde está o corpo do Rei Pálido.

    Um jogo que definitivamente merecia uma continuação, e que é uma verdadeira obra prima.    … Expand

    Of all the games I've ever played, this is the one game that I would change nothing about. Practically everything about it is flawless. The combat, the exploration, the level design, the music, the lore, the story, the art style. How did 3 people make something so magnificent?

    Great game ! the characters rock, the music rocks, the places rock, even if the difficulty is sometimes very high. a very good alternative to the classics games.

    Hollow knight is a solid nine out of ten. I have played ten hours and I play every day. Despite the okay amount of time I have played this it doesn’t feel like I have scratched a single corner of this amazing game.

    Completely overrated game.
    Combat feels bad, and the enforced souls-mechanics are a pain in the ass and adds nothing but frustration.
    Dickish level-desing as well

    Terrible boss patterns and the checkpoint system is just awful.
    It's not bad because it's hard. It's bad because you have to do the same stuff all over again because the checkpoint system/bench is AWFUL. The only good thing about this game is the art style but that's it. Story is bad too, like it's so cryptic. Probably the most overhype game    One of the worst designed video games.

    If i played this game in 2017 this would be my GOTY, and might also be my favourite game of all time tied with ori WotW. Its embarassing honestly i just found this game.

    As a product : this game price is criminally low, with 20+ hour gameplay and i already clocked in 100 hour lol, team cherry decided to sweeten the deal with 4 free dlc that bring the completionist time up to 100 hour. i    If i played this game in 2017 this would be my GOTY, and might also be my favourite game of all time tied with ori WotW. Its embarassing honestly i just found this game.

    As a game : this game revolutionized metroidvania, the gameplay is amazing with cool mechanic like pogo jump on enemies and hazard. there is over 150 type of unique enemy in the game, and that not counting bosses that each have their own unique mechanic. the story is more less environmental story telling so expect to watch mossbag youtube for your lore needs.    … Expand

    Everything that needed to be said already has been said. Fabulous game, fabulous art style fabulous everything. The difficulty is just right as well with great movement and combat options being unlocked the more you play.

    Hollow knight is a game that you definitely have to play if you like challenges. everything in this game is wonderful, its gameplay is full of interesting mechanics and exciting moments with incredible bossfights, its story although a bit complicated to understand is super interesting and makes you want to discover every detail about it forcing you to explore every corner of the map.     Level design, graphics, soundtracks, originality... Just the good amount of everything, from the great and interesting plot to the levels of difficulty. Hollow Knight is a "not so small" game with a decent durability that I really enjoyed playing.

    SImply one of the most amazing pieces of media I've ever experienced. It's so beautiful and melancholy. It is 100% a "mood". Combat and platforming are tough but fair. Unlike a lot of indie platformers, it feeeels goooood to play it. Shame on the folks giving it low scores because it's difficult.

Bosses in the base game IS NOT HARD, yes they are challenging but they are fair, their moves have big animations that can be distinguished a mile away making these bosses not frustrating but inspires you to gitgud. When you start to understand how the boss moves the game starts to feel more of a rhythm game. Movement will become second nature and you will start dancing with your enemies after a few tries. *9.6 / 10*… Expand

    I don't think it deserves such a high score.
    The art direction has absolutely no effect on me, the difficulty is poorly managed compared to a game like Dead Cells, nothing kept me engaged and I couldn't finish it.
    Overall, an impressive work for such a small team, but in the end a boring game which adds nothing new to the genre.

    Lo empecé hace unos años y no jugué más de 15 minutos. Hace unos meses le di otra oportunidad y el resultado no pudo ser tan diferente. Es el primer metroidvania que juego y creo que puede ser uno de los más brillantes. El aspecto artístico es inmejorable, su dificultad desafiante le aporta gracia al juego, sus detalles y misiones secundarias dan muchas más horas. Obra de arte.

    Hollow Knight is a Metroidvania with a well of content to discover that’s as deep as its labyrinthine caves. The world of Hallownest is compelling and rich, full of story that’s left for you to discover on your own, and built with branching paths that offer an absurd amount of choice in how you go about discovering it. With such a high density of secrets to find and fun, challenging enemies to face, it’s worth spending every moment you can in Hollow Knight.
