    El juego al principio es lento, pero si sigues y sigues lega un punto en el que nada es tedioso, ni siquiera la sombra que aparece cuando mueres, solo es una mecánica mas.     This game isn't getting enough mainstream press. Really... the controls are the best I've ever felt in a side-scrolling game. The graphics and the music... there really are no words. The story is interesting and philosophical, although it does require you use your imagination.

    I mean, it's Hollow Knight. What hasn't been said about this game?

    I think it would be better to list my nitpicks and criticisms about this game, because despite my 10/10 score, this game isn't perfect. I give it a 10 because it's one of the best gaming experiences I've ever had, not because it has no faults. First of all, the difficulty curve is a bit weird. The game is very open    I mean, it's Hollow Knight. What hasn't been said about this game?

    I think it would be better to list my nitpicks and criticisms about this game, because despite my 10/10 score, this game isn't perfect. I give it a 10 because it's one of the best gaming experiences I've ever had, not because it has no faults.

    First of all, the difficulty curve is a bit weird. The game is very open ended and interconnected which is great, but it means the difficulty is all over the place. The game is hard. Quite a lot harder than the souls games, but the weird thing is that the first 2 areas are too easy, and then the game suddenly knocks you into one of the most painful areas in the game (Deepnest) and a similarly painful bossfight (Watcher knights). You don't have to beat it just yet, but it's a boss that requires you to git gud to a insane degree. Many other bosses have a similar problem, where they attack you so fast
    and give you so little opportunity to heal that it can be overwhelming. On the other hand, some bosses are pushovers, which is fine, but the difference in difficulty is insane.

    Also, some of the true endgame content is comically difficult. The platforming is manageable, but some of the bosses are way too difficult for most people (specifically the game's true true final boss, which is unbelievably tough, and probably in the 5 hardest bosses of the decade.)

    I still have yet to get the super secret ending, because no matter how good you are at games, hollow knight will push you to your limits eventually, and you may have to strain a LOT to break that limit. But that's ok, because you can always get better at the game. And that means a lot, even if I can't finish the final pantheon of the game.

    This game is a masterpiece. There’s so much content it’s almost ridiculous. Excuse me for this comparison but it really is a Dark Souls like experience in 2D fashion. It’s hard but rewarding, sad but hopeful. The bigger story is subtle and you have to interpret a bit but that’s what makes it so intriguing for me. And oh god the music is out of this world. No really, the City of Tears‘This game is a masterpiece. There’s so much content it’s almost ridiculous. Excuse me for this comparison but it really is a Dark Souls like experience in 2D fashion. So all in all, all these wonderfully combined elements (including the cartoonish artstyle and the variety in the locations) make for an amazing game.     Hollow Knight was a special experience for me, the lore can go deeper if you want it deep. Of course, if you're not into lore, you can ignore it completely without missing out on the story. The gameplay feels extremely good and it feels like everything was perfected and optimized for the best gameplay (which it was). Even though I often had the problem where I didn't know where I was going I had a lot of fun with the game, I also think that it was more a problem of mine and not the game. It's not an easy game, especially the boss fights can be extremely difficult and have driven me up the wall more than once, but the feeling when you've made it is priceless. There is a lot to explore and discover and there are many places that have something magical about them. The areas have triggered different feelings in me. There are creepy, sad, funny, cute and particularly interesting areas, although each area is interesting in its own way. I don't have the game at 100% yet, and I'm really looking forward to seeing what else the game has to offer. As for the DLCs, all of the DLCs are free and are more of a content expansion. This does not mean that the game is unfinished, but they are rather extra boss fights, etc. which I personally find very fair and sympathetic. I am looking forward to Hollow Knight: Silksong and can recommend Hollow Knight to everyone.… Expand

Now, I may be biased, because this is unequivocally my favorite game of all time, but I think anyone can objectively say that it is certainly the best metroidvania of the past decade and probably of all time.     There is a reason that this game has such a cult following, it's because the combination of the serene vibe and it's sometimes ruthless difficulty sits on this intersection of different things that a lot of titles lean heavily towards to. In the case of Hollow Knight, it combines all these different ideas, the zen vibe of something like Zelda or Gris, the difficulty of a soulslike because of it's risk/reward structure, and the exploration and world design of a classic metroidvenia make this game such an engaging world to explore. I poured over a 150 hours in this title, and still now and then I feel compelled to go back.    … Expand

    The most attraction feature of this game to me, was charm system. İts similar to rune system in the some games. There is dozens varities Charms in the game. While some Charms are attribute to you defend and attack damage, some ones are boosting your mobility on the map. In fact this Charms very important for boss fights because they have stragelic weight on the boss. If you die to a boss over and over again, you should change your combosition of your charms. Believe me appropriate combosition of charm will make the boss much easier.

    Another feature doing Hollow Knight unique, is, discovering new places. There is so much place to discover that discovering all of them, take 50 hours. The game doesnt give you the boss, it want you to discover it. I played game 20 hours and the bosses i killed is at most 20 but there is 30 boss and varitie of enemies than 140. It tooks 1 years discovering of these enemies and bosses. Maybe a boss that never discovered, wandering around map; who knows right?

    As you progress in the game you earn new features and thanks to them you can reach new places in the map. Anyway, Metroidvania means that. And the Hollow Knight is mixing this genre and souls-like, very nicely. In fact as well as earning new feature, you earn new friends too and these friends earning you a lot of things. That is, try to enter that houses because you can run into a friend who will change your progress dramatically.

    In order to uprade your health, you must collect mask parts in the map. While some parts waiting you in mysterious place, other parts guarding by bosses. That is, collecting mask parts is really hard, which the purpose in the game is accomplish to hard because there is no easy thing at all. In fact, you can upgrade your nail too. Of course if you accomplish to find the blacksmith.

    Hollow Knight doesnt tell you anything about what have to do. You must discover every thing alone. If you are curious, you can finish the game very easly. But if you just focus on the finishing game, it can be really hard for you.

    The game is like Dark Souls series in terms of not with its hardship and opening shortcuts, but also story telling. As you progress in the game, you can feel as if you play Dark Souls; because the game has a intense atmosphere like in the Dark Souls. The game always whip your curiosity.

    Generally in Metroidvania games, places you went is open automatically on the map, but in this game they not. İnstance, first time you entering Fog Canyon and you want to see that place on your map; then you must find the mapper with name Cornifer. Finding this mapper is quite easy. If you see piece of paper, and you hear that; congrulations you found Cornifer the mapper.

    The combat was really good, and hard as well. In the beginnings game can be really annoying, but after a few hours you start to feel the game. You want to discover, run into a boss, earn new abilities and above all you want to upgrade your character, in order to go more deeps and test your power.

    The Vocazalition and sound effects in the game are take you to another world.

    Easily manages to catch the player looking for a good adventure and many hours of fun. The skills, collectibles and equipment, in addition to being linked to the story, help the player to want to keep playing more and more until reaching the protagonist's full skill.
    The different styles of play are very efficient and very challenging, ranging from a simple parkour to a complex boss rush.
    As the player continues to learn more and more about the game's history, he ends up delving deeper into the universe, making choices that shape the future of characters and change the lives of others.
    The ''New Game+'', in addition to changing some things in the game, leaves a huge concern for the player, who will be able to pass depending on how much effort he made in his first game.

    Amazing world, the graphic style and gameplay is a masterpiece, it will make you remember forever. And this game was so haunting that I had to find another game that at least achieved this awesomeness, but I couldn't find it and now I'm still waiting for the Hollow Knight: Silksong sequel.

    This is the closest thing to a perfect game, with over 40 bosses around 150 different enemies crazy visuals, and fluid mechanics there is just so much to do it's a long enjoyable playthrough with things like bartering and upgrades that make it even better. 10/10 amazing I want a part 2

    Amo este videojuego.
    La jugabilidad es exquisita y no muy complicada de entender, los personajes tienen mucha carisma y les vas a coger cariño, un mapa enorme y mas de 30 horas de juego.
    No se lo recomiendo a todo el mundo, principalmente porque las primeras 5 horas son duras y vas a morir mucho, pero si estás dispuesto a aprender al final lo vas a pasar en grande.

    Just a perfect game. The atmosphere and lore are so captivating, the combat and boss fights are some of the most fun I’ve ever had in a game. The learning curve was steep for me. But it gets satisfying after a while!

Everything is understandable and pretty primitive, but it is really better, than damage numbers. Unique charm system gives you an opportunity to change your build any time you want. True metroidvania feelings are guaranteed.

    SImply one of the most amazing pieces of media I've ever experienced. It's so beautiful and melancholy. It is 100% a "mood". Combat and platforming are tough but fair. Unlike a lot of indie platformers, it feeeels goooood to play it. Shame on the folks giving it low scores because it's difficult.

    Los muchachos de Team Cherry lograron crear una de las obras más pulidas de la generación de videojuegos, en todos los aspectos, hasta el más mínimo detalle.

    Si logran mantener el nivel en su próxima entrega estaremos hablando de una de las mejores sagas de la historia al nivel de Zelda o Dark souls.

    Hollow Knight is a game focused on exploration.

    The game won't teach everything to you like you are dumb. Sometimes you will have to learn by yourself to progress and that's what makes it enjoyable and different.

    After 100 hours played, i recommend this game for everyone (casual gamers may suffer in this game)

The soundtrack feels lonely and hopeless, the story is contained in dialogue and text logs, but its so interesting it makes you want to learn more. You gain connections to characters that at the surface just look like filler characters, but then you'll realize one is infected, and feel absolutely heartbroken. This game truly is heartbreaking, every 2 steps you take in the game, feels like one step back as well.

    It's very easy to get lost in Hollownest, both metaphorically and literally. Getting lost and exploring the world was one of the main driving forces of this game. You want to see every nook and cranny, defeat every enemy, discover all secrets, meet every ally. The combat is challenging and the platforming can be demanding but both give you the feeling of accomplishment.     Best value game i've played in a long time. Has more content and polish than a lot of AAA games. Would highly reccomend for anyone wanting a metroidvania game with amazing visuals, art, gameplay. Only con is that the story (which is good) is hard to find, similar to dark souls games.

    This is probably one of my favorite games, and I can't describe why exactly. To me the highlights are the exploration and combat, as well as just the size for what you pay. It also has really good difficulty, up until you get to the boss rush area where it gets pretty difficult. But throughout the rest of the game it is very balanced in my opinion.

    Very well made indie metroidvania. The story is intriguing while also leaving some parts interpretation the game itself is not that difficult but it has many bosses and challenges with modes that make it 'Dark Souls' difficult. the graphics and music are memorable. I definitely didn't expect this game to be this good

    Hollow Knight is simply amazing. The main reason for this, is the gameplay: Fantastic movement, good catolouge of enemies and boss design. This is probally the best metroidvania/2d game in generall, I have ever played.

The OST and art is beautiful, and the way the Knight's movement flows after just two movement upgrades is sublime. Sure, the game may be a bit slow at the beginning, but later in the game more then makes up for it. The first Hornet fight was extremely fun, and the second one is one of the most fun experiences I've ever played, and it's not even the best boss in the game.

    The story is really well written, and the OST and art really makes it feel like you're travelling through a truly broken kingdom, and several areas/moments in the game are extremely gripping, and truly makes you feel devastated about what happened before the events in the game. Almost all the bosses are extremely fun, Especially Nightmare King Grimm, Hornet Sentinel, Sisters of battle, and Pure Vessel. There are some misses, namely Hive Knight and God Tamer.     The art style is so incredibly astonishing, and the movement mechanics are the best controls for a Platformer game. The bosses are intense and Fast paced. this is the first game that comes to my mind when i think of an indie game, It is very challenging aswell. i have no problems with this game.

    Level design, graphics, soundtracks, originality... Just the good amount of everything, from the great and interesting plot to the levels of difficulty. Hollow Knight is a "not so small" game with a decent durability that I really enjoyed playing.

    2 years after beating the game I still think about it, I listen to its music on repeat and sometimes can't believe I paid 7 euros for this experience.

    This is the Metroidvania genre peak in my opinion.

    Great lore, great design, amazing art, and an incredible vibe.

    This may be my favorite game ever. Hollow knight takes the Metroidvania formula and perfects it, with compelling exploration, locations, upgrades, NPCs, progression, and combat. There's not a moment in this game where one feels bored, and the map is structured in such a way that it is unusual to ever get lost. The game has a great sense of progression and ramps up the difficulty in fairThis may be my favorite game ever. There's not a moment in this game where one feels bored, and the map is structured in such a way that it is unusual to ever get lost. The game has a great sense of progression and ramps up the difficulty in fair ways. The art style also adds a lot of charm to the game, making the world feel alive and making one feel good for staying in it. Theres never moments where the game feels unfair, almost every time you die or get hit you feel that you were at fault. The polish is outstanding for an indie game, I've played this game to death and ran into maybe 1 minor glitch which barely even effected gameplay. It is obvious that a great deal of care was put into this project, and it shows in every little detail. What really shows the developers' love is the free DLCs they put into the game, each adding some substantive addition like bosses or new areas. The boss-run DLC is probably the best of the bunch since they reinvent some of the bosses and add in a few additional ones, the size of the DLC alone most companies would charge in the 20$ range for, meanwhile you get it free with the game which itself only costs around 20$. Each boss, each level, and each design choice felt born from passion to make a great game and by all accounts team cherry succeeded.… Expand

    Lo empecé hace unos años y no jugué más de 15 minutos. Hace unos meses le di otra oportunidad y el resultado no pudo ser tan diferente. Es el primer metroidvania que juego y creo que puede ser uno de los más brillantes. El aspecto artístico es inmejorable, su dificultad desafiante le aporta gracia al juego, sus detalles y misiones secundarias dan muchas más horas. Obra de arte.

When you start to understand how the boss moves the game starts to feel more of a rhythm game.     As a product : this game price is criminally low, with 20+ hour gameplay and i already clocked in 100 hour lol, team cherry decided to sweeten the deal with 4 free dlc that bring the completionist time up to 100 hour. i    If i played this game in 2017 this would be my GOTY, and might also be my favourite game of all time tied with ori WotW.     As a game : this game revolutionized metroidvania, the gameplay is amazing with cool mechanic like pogo jump on enemies and hazard. there is over 150 type of unique enemy in the game, and that not counting bosses that each have their own unique mechanic. the story is more less environmental story telling so expect to watch mossbag youtube for your lore needs.    … Expand

    Os    Hollow Knight certamente foi um dos jogos mais interessantes que já joguei em minha vida toda, e sem dúvidas alguma está em meu top 03 jogos favoritos.
    Com uma história muito rica em que você pode descobrir toda a narrativa jogando o jogo e prestando atenção nos diálogos e ações as quais você decide fazer, você vai conseguindo compreender cada vez mais o que acontece ao seu redor.
    Os cenários os quais são feitos para que a história se passe são únicos, cheios de detalhes, e com uma trilha sonora magnifica.
    Cada personagem apresentado durante o jogo é único, tendo sua importância e distinção.
    Os inimigos do jogo também são únicos, cada um tendo sua função.
    Além disso, como foi-se feito durante praticamente todo o jogo, existe uma gama alta de opções as quais podemos escolher, desde entregar uma simples flor para um determinado personagem que não necessariamente deveria recebe-la, até a escolher um dos três finais que o jogo nos proporciona.

    Este jogo certamente acertou em tudo que ofereceu, e para quem realmente se dedicou à ele sabe que não há prazer maior do que o de passar pelo Palácio Branco e chegar na sala do trono onde está o corpo do Rei Pálido.

    Um jogo que definitivamente merecia uma continuação, e que é uma verdadeira obra prima.    … Expand

    Hollow is a game for those who are fans of "souslike" games and fans of long games, with secrets and a great lore, lovable characters and a totally addictive game, after doing 112% of the game, you realize that you still haven't discovered 80% what this game is.

    У меня ушло около 50 часов на прохождение игры на самую банальную концовку с сражением с полым рыцарем, я не фанат сложных игр, но от этой, не смотря на ее сложность, не мог отлипнуть.
    С нетерпением жду hollow knight silksong    Лучшая метроидвания на моей памяти, отличный сюжет, интересные персонажи, интересный большой мир который действительно интересно исследовать.

    Excelente! Desafiador, é a melhor palavra para se descrever este jogo.
    Admito que o que me incomoda um pouco é ter que pesquisar onde ficam as coisas e como fazê-las, não conseguiria fazer as coisas sem um guia me dizendo onde ir e o que fazer, tipo onde ficam os charmes e as paredes quebráveis. Eu nunca teria descoberto que para acessar os pantheons eu precisaria primeiro quebrar uma    Excelente! Desafiador, é a melhor palavra para se descrever este jogo.
    Admito que o que me incomoda um pouco é ter que pesquisar onde ficam as coisas e como fazê-las, não conseguiria fazer as coisas sem um guia me dizendo onde ir e o que fazer, tipo onde ficam os charmes e as paredes quebráveis. Eu nunca teria descoberto que para acessar os pantheons eu precisaria primeiro quebrar uma parede no coliseu para depois ir para o royal waterways procurar outra parede quebrável para usar uma simple key, NUNCA teria achado isso.
    Os bosses são muito bons, gosto muito que algumas das lutas parecem danças, e quando você pega o jeito fica muito divertido, como o nighmare grimm.

    It's the longest game I've played, there isn't a region I haven't explored and visited every spot. I finished the game 112% and I still sometimes enter and do the challenges. Perfect as a platform. One of the best examples of the souls-like genre.

    Hollow Knight is one of the best 2D platformers I’ve ever played - it is a beautiful, quirky and dynamic game; challenging yet rewarding; mournful yet brimming with hope. When it comes to console, it’s going to cause a real stir.

    Hollow Knight is a Metroidvania with a well of content to discover that’s as deep as its labyrinthine caves. The world of Hallownest is compelling and rich, full of story that’s left for you to discover on your own, and built with branching paths that offer an absurd amount of choice in how you go about discovering it. With such a high density of secrets to find and fun, challenging enemies to face, it’s worth spending every moment you can in Hollow Knight.
