This game is pure garbage because it doesn't know what it is. It was obviously designed for tablets but runs on PC.
Garbage controls (cause tablets design, garbage meaningless heroes, every game feels the same, garbage cartoonish visuals).
Try DOTA2 instead, every game is unique and your choices matter all the time. in HOTS nothing what you do is actually matters.

the forums bleed with playes asking for the same two things, balance and matchmaking, yet blizzard continues to work on "lore" that makes no sense and throw giant re opening events, only to fall flat when people AFK and leave games since there is no punishment for leaving.
this saddens me as a blizzard fan boy, i have played wow, SC I and II and diablo for years. overwatch is my favorite shooter. too bad blizzard simply sees this sad MOBA as a way to pick up whatever pennies its players are willing to throw their way.

Garbage moba, garbage matchmaking,it;s nothing but a cash grab.
Purposely releasing overpowered heroes so all the 12 year old would get their mom's credit card to buy the latest hero and dominate the battleground and it takes months until they nerf.
Don't waste your time with this game .

First of all, I enjoyed this game for about 3-4 weeks but, the more time I spent on it the more I started to dislike this game.

I'll list some thing that bother me and try to explain it so everyone will be able to understand it. (My english is horrible btw.)

1, Garden Of Terror: My most hated map to date, I just couldn't believe how much Blizzard fu**ed up with this one. They put the most brainless gameplay into it, with farming frequently spawning neutral monsters to spawn a huge player controlled monster with a skill that disables an entire base and basically rapes the whole fort within seconds if there is no player around to prevent this skill from doing so, it would be fine if it was on a high cooldown or it couldn't be used more than twice per monster. But no, this fu**ing skill can just be spammed until the opposite team somehow (the monster also has a movement speed boost and a 2-6 sec aoe cc with low cooldown) managed to kill this f**k.

    2. Haunted Mines: Pray to the matchmaking they put a tank, a support and an assassin with medium to high burst in your team. Otherwise the enemy team will just snowball your as* to nirvana because if your team gets behind at the beginning of the game you could surrender instantly (if you could). The map is again designed on farming frequently spawning neutral skeletons to power up an skullgolem (which spawn for both teams after you killed all skeletons) to push one of your lanes to oblivion. The strength is based on the amount of skeletons killed and skulls collected. Sounds fun at first but if you f**k up once and let the other team collect about 20 more skulls than yours, the golem will simply destroy one building after another put their team about 1-2 levels above yours and lower your chance to turn that match to your favor to almost 0. Also the golems respawns at the spot you killed it.

    3. Permanent stealth/Nova: Who on earth had the idea that permanent invisibility was a good idea in the first place? It's just ridiculous, yeah you can see where they are because they blur the texture slightly, but if you have some vision problems like me (even with glasses) you can't see them most of the time and (as for Nova) they just instaburst your as* and leave as if nothing happend. And in most soloq matches your team doesn't even try to group up, so you have almost no counterplay potentional as an class other than an assassin. Even though Nova is considered a bad pick in matches with experienced players, casual players or beginners lose to her most of the time. Towers also can't see through stealth.

    4. Hero costs: Im not complaining about the cash grab stuff, if you waste money on a Moba it's your fault. The gold prices of some heroes, especially the 10k gold heroes, are just ridiculous. It would be fine if you could earn about 100-200 gold per match, but no, they leave you with 20/30 (lose/win) gold per match. If you spent money on stimpacks you have a bonus of 150%, so it would be 50/75 gold per match. You need about ~500-134 matches or ~10000-2680 minutes just for 1 hero.

    5. Most heroes: Last but not least are most of the heroes. If there were no lore or something relateable to them, I wouldn't even look at some of them. Every class has more than 2 heroes that are basically the same, heck most of them even have to use the same talents in order to fulfill their role. Instead of giving them unique abilitys to fit into their roles, most of them have to use the same attack speed steroid or the same blocking ability.

I played this game for a while now, and with the highest level of 40 and about 250 games played I have to say that this game is not good. It's is not horrible or trash oder something like this, but it lost it charme way to fast for a Moba.

TL;DR: Cash-grab based on MOBA's that lacks Blizzard's usually quality control. Highly repetitive and poorly fleshed-out. Most professional reviewers were obviously bought-out. There's little quality to this game.

    By the Categories (Best-Worst):

    Multiplayer Interactivity: (8/10):
Since the game is incredibly easy to understand and low stakes, Friends are easy to invite to the game, and it's quite enjoyable while intoxicated with people that have highly variable video game skill levels.

    Technological Demand (6/10):
This game actually runs pretty poorly and has not been well-optimized. It works well for certain rigs and not for others, and is completely independent of the overall quality of the PC.

    Gameplay (4/10):
Gameplay is highly repetitive with an incredibly low skill cap that makes the game feel quickly unrewarding. Much of the strategy is at the team level, and this isn't a very interesting game to begin with, so solo players will derive very little pleasure from this.

    Graphics (2/10):
This is a straight up ugly game. Blizzard is known for their quality art style and aesthetic. This looks like garbage. The art direction is a mismatch of Blizzard titles with the anti-aliasing turned off. While hero spells may match their aesthetic individually, when all of them are mashed together on screen, it looks horrendous.

    Monetization Scheme (2/10):
As of right now, HoTS has around 35 or so heroes. Most of the new or interesting heroes cost more than $10, or almost 2 weeks of grinding. Free heroes rotate weekly, but since the overall hero pool is very low, the number of free heroes is pitifully small, which leads to a new player experience of highly repetitive games.

Skins cost an obscene amount of money, and hero packs (where one can buy several heroes for a 'reduced' price) are very few and actually not that good of a deal. Those expensive skins, while a luxury, are just plain overpriced. They are simplified hats that don't change hero abilities, idle animations, or anything relevant that provides actual worth for the $20 price tag.

Yes, LoL's scheme is similar, although it has a far larger share of the overall market since it 'got there' first, and offers significant advantages over HoTS: a significantly larger hero pool, a large pro scene, large discussion base, more overall game complexity. This is coming from a person that actually dislikes LoL. The question needs to be asked why publishers think they can offer a game of inferior quality to current games on the market with the same monetization scheme when actual F2P MOBA's of high quality, such as DOTA2, which offers all heroes and content for free, exist.

4/10, and that's mostly because it's great to play with friends that are normally trash at video games.

2.Nothing matters-First of all the heroes are with similar stats and they have equal power. So teamfight's are just one big **** can't kill person alone because it take's 5 **** minutes to do so.You can't chase most of the time because the spell range is so small. You have no gold or items and your level is shared with your teammates. You don't have any advantage what so ever no matter what you do you are weak. You have no progress.
3.The Maps are stupid-There are like 5 variations of 1 map with different objective wich are so lame. For instance you have to kill one golem in the jungle and collect seeds and if you collect enough he comes to fight for your team and destroys enemy base in 2 pushes. So the objective is not to destroy enemy fortress. The object is to kill a **** neutral and win the game because of that.

After a while the game became very predicable. After the first five minutes, whichever team was in the lead would always win. 9 times out of 10 this was the opposite team.

If you try to quit and start a new game, the game punishes you and calls you a "leaver" and throws you back into the game you just quit. You cant start a new game until the last one ends.

Overall this game lifted me to the heights of enjoyment, the left me in the pits of dispair. Shame on you Blizzard. This will be my first and last MOBA.

Pro Tip: If you want people to keep playing your game, they should actually be able to win once in a while. Nothing makes someone lose interest faster than constantly losing with little hope of success.

Currently the game is not worth playing, the development plan is too tied up with other Blizzard IPs (i.e new heroes and maps) so devs have ZERO flexibility to deal with feedbacks. Also, the game is not casual friendly, it's more like ''clueless friendly'' , as long as you have a brain, you will greatly suffer from clueless players who play like yolo swags and never try to communicate with others. Since the MM is broken and the player-base is too small, no matter how good you are you will often have to play with those clueless bastards.

Just avoid this game like a plague, whether you like MOBA or not, this game is not worth your time.

I made a metacritic account just to express my distaste towards this horrible example of an MOBA game.
-No items, -no gold, -no rewards for killing players, -almost no customization. Getting minion kills doesnt even matter because your whole team shares XP. Heroes of the Storm is incredibly watered down and over-simplified. I've played about every MOBA out there and this is by FAR the WORST

I entered in the closed beta and I STILL can't play a full game without my game dropping to 1fps halfway into the match, blaming it on "connection problems" when I'm playing in my region with decent internet. Also, it's the only game that does this. I can play Dota, League and HoN just fine but not this piece of **** Unplayable.

Currently unplayable in the EU. There are thousands of posts about stuttering, lag and high pings from Blizzard servers. For a MOBA this just breaks the game. How this hasn't been picked up by EU reviews I don't know.

    - The matchmaking is horrible. Quick match has the worst system to take team comps into account and often puts unbalanced teams against each other. The skill range for hero league is also too wide and players of very varying skill levels get put into a game together. Landslide victories happen more often then competitive games that go back and forth.

This game ditches the items of the other three, and also the leveling system! Instead, you all level up as a team. There are no assists, and if you were nearby a kill and contributed, you get credit for the kill. This may annoy some people, but to me, that is an amazing idea. You can contribute so much to the game and not lag behind. Theres' no pointing fingers at who caused the loss any more. I started playing during the tail end of the beta. I bought a few heroes with gold, I bought the starter pack, and I had a few special mounts from playing their other games. I saved up all my gold from leveling characters after my purchase of Sylvanas so I had about 30k. To those of you who haven't played, each hero costs approximately 10k gold. Some are less, some are more.

My child decided to buy the piggy bank mount for me for 20k gold. She's 4. Attempted to contact support for a refund or a roll back, they refuse to do so because it was in my own house. It costs them nothing and they lose nothing from undoing the transaction, but apparently -- as with other microtransaction companies -- they've decided to flip people the big bird and refuse to fix anything. Machine Zone does this, most other app companies do this, now Blizzard does this.

It should be noted that there is no real way to block kids from clicking that gold purchase button. They can't use your real money, but it's easy to spend your gold. This is definitely by design juding from 90 minutes of sparring with two "Game Masters". Unless you're childless or keep the little monsters on a short leash, be prepared to fully log out every time you step away from your desk or you're stuck with whatever they do. It doesn't matter if you contact support within 5 minutes of discovery as we did or offer to let them roll your account back over a week. You are boned. They want you to buy that sweet, sweet gold or use money to buy their little heroes and accessories.

If anyone is interested in seeing a copy of our transcript, I'm sure I'll find a way to get it on reddit by the end of the night. It's truly enlightening as to how much Blizzard doesn't give a bleep now that they're on the pay-to-play wagon. No amount of logic can touch that kind of greed.

This isn't exactly what it was hyped up to be (like getting a toy that's much smaller than advertised). My beef though is that I spent 80% of my time in the D/C screen waiting to be reconnected only to appear in the middle of a mob and get killed by a beefed up Diablo; some battles were better than others. I checked my time zone box and tried reducing all of the settings to low and that didn't work at all. I have satellite internet, yet I play WoW, like I said, on high settings with absolutely no D/C and barely any latency so...kind of strange for it to happen in a mini game like this. A game where you can play nearly all of the Blizzard heroes. Is there a better idea for a game than that? I don't think so. However, looks can most definitely be deceiving.

To cut straight to the chase: I love the game play, smoothness, fines, most of the balancing, and overall game design. What I most certainly dislike that prevents me from enjoying and even playing the game is the Hero league *matchmaking* system. Without going into a massive rant, the matchmaking in hero league is very flawed (visit the official HOTS forums and read posts regarding the matchmaking system). This issue was recognized in early Alpha, but never addressed and still present to this day. To add, hero league has been in preseason since the release of the game, which was June 2, 2015.

Another negative aspect is the cost of heroes and how long it takes to gather up gold to purchase one. There are often a type of 'clearance' sale that occurs, but generally the heroes that are not used are the heroes on sale. You get daily quests to do to assist you with accumulating gold, which is nice, but still takes quite some time.

I don't know if this is a new thing or if anyone cares, but the forums is the place where players should be able to interact with the community and with Blizzard. Again, to be short, but this is a crucial topic: there is no reciprocation between developers and players at all (don't take my word for it, visit the forums).

On the positive, there are many maps that rotate and there are plenty of team objectives which makes the game unique and fun. You can purchase new skins and new mounts with gold or real money and they as well go on sales.

My overall score for the game is a 3/10 because I feel that if I were to play the game today, I would be playing a half completed game. Competition is the pinnacle of any game for me and without a balanced hero league matchmaking system I feel that I am only playing half the game. (I feel that its like playing an RTS game in single player against the computer, but your true desire is to get online and play against a person--if that makes sense). Also, the non-existent communication from developers is also disheartening and shows lack of interest with the player base. I feel that these two issues are substantial enough to give this game a negative rating. If these two issues were resolved then I would definitely give the game at least an 8.5/10, maybe even higher.

What I do like is that the matches are fairly short, they load quite quick and you dont have to wait 1:30 minutes to minions to appear like in LoL so you waste less time. Picking champs is also a lot faster, i hate when i wait 10 minutes to start a match in LoL. Also the community is a bit less toxic than in other f2p.
Overall: game is just not fun for a long run. Its free so You can check it for Yourself, but be warned, You can pick waaaay better f2p games.

The gameplay is extremely simplified on 4 skills and only a very few heroes. The matchmaking system is an abomination, the hero selection is uncreative and shallow. The bullet to the neck for this game is the fact that the new heroes that are released every few weeks are always slightly overpowered in the beginning before they get patched. The result of that is that tryhard players instantly buy these heroes with real cash or crazy amounts of ingame money and you have them in EVERY GAME from that time point on until they are patched. The balance within this game overall is bad. Summing up: Blizzard did bring some good ideas to the moba genre with this game, but fail horribly when it comes to realizing the overall standards of the genre: variety, balance, matchmaking. Expand

д. не интересно.

I have been playing Blizzard's game Heroes of the Storm since the day of the game's Alpha launch. This was around 4/2015. Around 5/2021, I was permanently banned and an account valued at well over $1000 is no longer accessible to me.

I have been reported numerous times for abusive chat. And this is completely understandable as I have been silenced on multiple occasions for it.

I have been reported numerous times for abusive chat. And this is completely understandable as I have been silenced on multiple occasions for it. Understandably. I have a bit of an issue with expressing my irritability verbally and pressuring people to play correctly.

In many cases, however, it was not a matter of straight up crude vulgarity. Although early in the game's life it certainly was, over the years I matured a bit and stuck to more specific claims of other player's performance. Addressing such issues play by play, as many neurotic players do.

    - My biggest argument is that if Blizzard's matchmaking service was effective, then there would be less frustration displayed by players of their teammates in games. Blizzard, as do all other competitive games developers, provide players with a mute/block button. It is the thin skinned player's responsibility to use such features.

    - My secondary argument is that if blizzard cannot create a perfect match making system, then Blizzard cannot expect perfect player conduct. To expect either is irrational.

    - My third argument is that players should not be permanently banned for conduct. Perhaps silenced for a year, perhaps temporarily banned for a year after so many cases. But mental issues are a thing and they are widely possessed in many forms by gamers. Some are offensive, and some are fragile. It is no place of a developer of any sort of software to try and dictate the behaviors of it's users using outright banning of an account as the consequence of not upholding said predefined behaviors.

    - My final argument has to do with a game's lifespan. If a player displays toxic behavior, be it outright vulgarity or simply the revealing to other players of their individual faults, it is likely that behavior is not going to suddenly disappear. It likely may become toned down over time, especially after numerous and increasing chat restriction penalties, but it is unlikely that it will fully disappear. So the longer the game is up, the chance of the company eventually banning the player increases drematically year by year.

Blizzard and other game's developers should be legally restricted to a year-by-year rule where you can impose a penalty for the remainder of an annual cycle that restricts them (up to completely) from a game due to conduct, but never indefinitely - at the very least without a complete and total refund of that player's money. And offenses cannot be gray areas. Threats of violence, for example, would be a zero-tolerance example of how a player could be outright banned and refunded their purchases. But disrespect should never be considered a bannable offense, especially considering that in society disrespect is sometimes endearing and a, perhaps poor, desire to help improve the overall player-base's ability to perform, or weed out those who refuse to improve. Thereby improving the efficacy of the matchmaking system and in turn reducing the degree of toxic behaviors in individual matches.

Lastly, this genre of game, specifically. One that originated as a mod on another of Blizzard's games, Warcraft III, is riddled with toxicity. It always has been. And it is toxic players of this genre that ultimately lead to the genre becoming independent of the mod it originated on.

Blizzard has in recent years become an absolutely terrible company and I caution anyone even talking about them as it simply gives them more publicity. The company is on it's way out for their abhorrent business practices and general disrespect of their player base and those of us who have been here since the very beginning.

By all means make your own decisions, but take it from someone who has been playing blizzard games since the beginning, they have turned evil very quickly.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. It's extremely rare I'll rate a game this low but as a Moba player I feel a true rating and review for this is needed. It's a League of Legends/Dota knock off with all Blizzard heroes. Which wouldn't be bad except it's basically babies first Moba. No strategy for building required, no counter building, no items for purchase and no leveling abilities (talents unlock at certain levels that add effects to skills). Then to top it off you get 1 free character, and maybe a second from a loot chest after the tutorial, meaning you can only play a small portion of the roles. There's no free weekly/monthly rotation of characters, there's no free character from each class like other Moba games. In brief, Bliz shows off its trademark polish on all categories. Except gameplay and the usual MOBA business model tropes.

gameplay wants you to think there is wide variety of champs and styles and builds. There isn't. As with any other MOBA, the DPS tanks with mobility stomp anything in their path. Bliz's twist on this done-to-death genre is controlling a neutral boss/advantage (think Baron Nashor) for a team/morale crushing super power. Some of these powers can be bosses, bosses you can pilot, swarms of creeps, lasers that zap buildings, big variety of things. How do you unleash these pandora boxes? Mostly has to do with standing in a zone and controlling it for 30ish seconds. These 30s are the meat of HOTS' matches. Above any other strategy, build, champ choice, synergy; above all else, controlling these wins the game. So, just go fight for it, right? If only. See, another age-old problem is here.

community. Everyone's favorite collective of idiots is alive and well in HOTS. Bad champ choices, not playing tanks/healers, poor engages, chasing across the map into an ambush/turret death, no communication, sh**y connections, flaming, abusing the automated report system (more later), ignoring objectives, not grouping, poor target focus, gorging the enemy to death with their feeding then d/c, oh yeah! Apparently, it's somehow your fault if it happens a lot, according to threads and fanboys. So you go to claim the power. As expected, all 5 of the enemy is there. Looking at the map shows your teammates are either dead, or scattered everywhere. You can either a) rush in and die alone or b) wait for the inevitable. If your team DOES group for it, the opponent has a meat wall of 4-5 high dps, high mobility oafs ready to toss anyone into an event-horizon-blender of CC and DPS. Ofc, you can TRY to reason with your teammates, but they'll just report you. Of all the stupid ideas Bliz learned from Riot, they had to take the fully automated report system which punishes players - NOT BY VIOLATIONS - but by number of reports.

Justice can't be democratic by it's nature, folks.

So assuming any position of callouts, leadership, or polite disagreement can net you a THREE. MONTH. ACCOUNT SILENCE, preventing you from saying anything to anyone for 90+ DAYS. Meanwhile, the guy that called me stuff that I can't repeat here, NOTHING happens to him. Why? Did he not break any rules? No. "Not enough people reported him." Now everyone thinks I'm a jerk b/c I don't talk to them....uh....how do I tell them my account is silenced? Do I just wait for more reports of poor teamwork to pile up? Then what do I do? Bliz could care less. The cash is flowing and flowing. Fanboys beat back these legit concerns with "well dont be toxic then DUH!!" *high fives and Oh's all round*

My last solace is to just have fun in unranked with a champ I like. Unless I crack open my wallet, I'd have to grind. It's about $10ish per hero, or you can save up 10,000 coins. At about 15 coin/25 min game, order some pizza and call in sick, bc u gonna b hur a while, and that's to get ONE. The novelty of each champ wears thin after 3 games, too. Sorry it's just...boring. There's no skill or room for mastery and improvement. You play dps tanks, m2 targets, and mash your 4 buttons. I thought LoL casualized MOBA. HOTS puts LoL to shame. Even LoL had a tiiiiny bit of mastery to it. If you're still curious, I'd say jump in quick, bc HOTS is dying FAST. The queues are taking forever. The last people playing are trolling the chat with politics or watching the pros with their kappa memes bc HOTS is bare-bones BORING.

Bliz knows the game is dying. Begging people to play.

Overpriced champs, dumba* community, sh* balancing, no farming/itemizing, and a garbage report system with a dying community. It would stop if morons would stop pouring cash into these practices.

Awfully imbalanced game. You can tell the studio doesn't care enough to fix the pile of issues that the game is dragging.

Due to HOTS not getting as much focus development wise. The US player population is roughly arouund 100 players now. And I'm pretty sure I must have played with at least half of them. HOTS does an extremely poor job of promoting communication and independent player value and roles as I spend the end of each matchup reporting one of my teammates because they intentionally played poorly, left, or insulted me or another teammate. Especially when it comes to those who don't see their own faults like I do.

HOTS used to be full of thousands of players that were equally filled with those who were just as awful you could ignore them to being very helpful and patient. But ever since Blizzard pulled the plug on this game, simply because it was not financially and professionally suitable for them in the short term. The game now has stagnating updates, the Winter Toys event has been running from November up to March 19 as of writing this post. No new heroes or skins have come out. No major patches or updates have been implemented, nothing.

While the game is the most thoroughly enjoyable MOBA experience I will ever have. I keep leaving it for months because of these issues, and because the player community is either too elitist or hostile to both other players and the developers. The game has a very good progression and questing system and getting gold is not that hard, and every single map and character does an amazing job of keeping the gameplay fresh despite years of playing this title. But again, because of the amount of verbal abuse and ways players can hurt their own teammates intentionally, on top of the development issues. This game is no longer the shining example it set out to be when 2.0 first launched. ANd until Blizzard finally decides to stop messing around and get it's act together, I do not recommend this title, or any of Blizzard's titles for the matter, to any players looking for a long term online video game.

TL;DR - The game is fun, but unlocking heroes either requires an irrationally large chunk of time, or a few bucks. Not P2W, but definitely Pay-2-Progress.

Heroes of the Storm is a MOBA by Blizzard/Activision that blends together properties of Blizzard's games such as WoW, Overwatch, Diablo, etc. into one universe and even adds a few new characters to the pool.

The gameplay (aside from the novelty of Blizzard characters in a MOBA) is fairly fun. There are some balancing issues for sure, but it is essentially a watered down MOBA that's good fun for casual and serious players alike.

The issues I have with this game, however, are with 2 major things that personally break a game.

Poor matchmaking - Don't expect to get paired up with players equal to your skill level. In my first match, I was paired against players hundreds of levels higher than me. You will either get absolutely stomped, or carried by your team. If you're the type that gets really annoyed when you feel like you can't contribute, play a ton of AI matches first.

Now for the reason this is a 3/10 for me. The gold and $RL system. Unlocking heroes in this game will cost anywhere from 2,000 - 10,000 in-game 'gold'. Gold is obtained by playing matches and leveling up heroes. I was getting an average of about 30-50 gold per match and after days of playing match after match, I finally reached 1,000 gold. After all of this, I am 10% of the way to purchasing Lucio (or any other 10k hero).

Lets give a very generous estimate of 50 gold per match. To reach 10,000 gold you would need to play in 200 matches. Each match is about 20 minutes long on average.

You would need to log 66 hours of actual in-game playtime to reach 10,000 gold. Even spread across the week, that's more than a full-time job. I would argue that maybe even 10% of that number is too high... But I'll let you decide that on your own.

But don't worry, you can pay a few bucks and buy any hero you want and don't have to worry about the irrational grind. This is why I've rated this game a 3/10. We cannot keep allowing giant companies like Activision/Blizzard to essentially bar all progression if it doesn't give them a few bucks. I've seen this get worse and worse as time goes by and I've become less forgiving about it.

This game suffers from toxic reporters who got and get support and high invested players who got and get banned without any need for a reason. The remaining playerbase is has the perfect comparison to hipocrits in the new political situation. E.g. arguing for climate change and co2 reduction but also flying twice per year into holidays. Yet another abandoned game by Blizzard, no major updates for 4+ years, a very toxic community, and the worst league system I've ever seen.

Despite the fact that it is original with well-designed characters and maps, matchmaking and the social system with reports is as terrible as possible. Of the many multiplayer games played, this is the worst game because of its huge lack of sociality. The developers never wanted people to play it

Why bother spending any time or money, no one plays this. While waiting 45mins+ in que for a "quickmatch" I made an entire account just to write this and tell you why blizzard sucks. It sucks. Matchmaking is trash and you will spend more time waiting in line than actually playing the game.

Heroes of the Storm is an exceptional game that’s thrown the cat amongst the pigeons in this rigid genre.

In Heroes of the Storm you play as one of Blizzard's iconic characters from Warcraft, Starcraft and Diablo. At first glance the game looks like a typical 5 vs 5 MOBA, but there are changes that differentiate it from its competitors. The matches are shorter, items have been replaced with talents and all maps have different side objectives. Overall, the changes have made the game more intense and varied. The main thing that I have issues with is the payment model. At first it seems fair and reasonable, but after a while you realize that you have to spend tons of money if you want to unlock all the characters or play the game for a long time. [Sept 2015]
