This campaign is extremely accurate historically. I'm seriously playing this game reading De Bello Galico simultaenously and it follows Caesar's account very closely. So it's a very fun history lesson if you look at it that way!

I was a bit confused at the beginning by some of the mechanics and the logistics (Caesar emphasizes the corn supply in his book, and sure enough that's a big

I was a bit confused at the beginning by some of the mechanics and the logistics (Caesar emphasizes the corn supply in his book, and sure enough that's a big part of this game) at the beginning -- not the most user friendly -- but once you get the hang of it things start to make sense.

So game is released, still look like in beta stages
But it improved a lot, almost nothing was working before, now it is at least enjoyable, yet still very mediocre game
I give this game 7, because I know developers are going to improve it in next months as they did until now and it have kinda bad score as it have potential to be good game But to say truth, this game sits right now

But to say truth, this game sits right now somewhere on 5/10 and lack everything, mostly units for various tactics
Also that promised historical accuracy was lost somewhere in development process
"barbarians" look like some cavemen with short swords and heavy infantry are spearmen? One would assume that spear is cheapest weapon and only light and line infantry will have them, while heavy infantry would be armed with axes and shortswords
There are lot more poor choices like you can upgrade unit with more men, why would you use any other upgrade for +10% attack or defense if your unit can be 50% more strong with additional men?
This is something I want to change in this game, stop dumbing it down and creating arcade rts for everybody, we want more deep strategical game, you will never get more players with this, only less
Right now its jack of all trades, master of none, partialy total war, partialy C&C rts, partialy ancient greece

Almost everything here is mediocre, and that's really a shame given the promise of Wars of Ancient Greece.

Hegemony Rome's quick, neat and easy approach to grand strategy puts impressive control in the player's hands.

It throws out pretty much everything you thought you knew about Real-Time Strategy and then proceeds to - successfully - reinvent the genre altogether.
