    Really dissapointed bu this game. Was expecting GTR2 only better, but it pales into insignificance next to GTR 2. There are no Porsche, Ferrari or Lamborghini; there are none of the predefined championships, only the WTCC championship and no night or 24 hour racing. Ultimately a boring release and not worth the £20 price tag. Simbin you have let us down.

    The GTs are king of dull here compared to GTR². But it's still enjoyable thanks to the nurburgring circuit.

    Started to make Simbin appear to think of their its loyal customer as cash cows... Making this addon a full priced game at first. Hopefully they now solved this by giving everything as possible addon for RACE07.

    Top notch in league racing.

    Excellente IA, bruits de moteur corrects (mais parfois médiocres). Les graphismes sont d'un autre âge aujourd'hui mais étaient déjà dépassés à l'époque (en plus d'exiger une grosse config !). La conduite propose parfois des réactions étranges pour ne pas dire discutables (tête-à-queue aléatoires). Les bons points restent le réglage indépendant de la difficulté des opposants et des aidesExcellente IA, bruits de moteur corrects (mais parfois médiocres).     Si le multi fonctionne très bien, il est bourré de kikoos. Toujours est-il que l'ensemble reste rigide et manque de pèche et de cohérence dans le comportement routier. A noter que le jeu est loin d'être exceptionnel au volant, la faute à un feedback réduit au minimum syndical.    … Expand

    Race 07 was just a season update for Race, and GTR Evolution continues to same direction. It adds the game some cars and legendary Nordscleife track, but basicly that's all. Everything is quite nice but nothing rises above the minimum level of hardcore racing simulators. Graphics engine looks like 5 years old. Production cars, that should shine brightly, look like plastic cars with plastic shine. In race cars that effect didn't bother, but with production cars graphics engine show its lack of ability to draw realistic lighting effects. Race 07 with GTR Evolution is very good game, but nothing else. Hopefully Simbin starts to do something completely different after these season updates, which have been continuing for too long now. And I hope I don't ever have to copy my review from one year old game anymore. [Sept 2008]

    Evolution evolves the series, and it does so wonderfully. I suspect a future follow-up will involve a complete overhaul, but until then, GTR Evolution -- and Nordschleife in particular -- is where every good driver should be.
