Mar 17, 2022There are times when I want to play a racing game that requires a wheel and incredibly nuanced changes to my car's setup. GRID Legends provides a counterpoint to that style, and it's a ball of fun that never feels like it loses focus on being a competitive racing game. It's a racing game that isn't afraid to become a spectacle, while at the same time managing to take itself seriously in the areas that matter. The story mode is the flashiest, but the game remains just as compelling in any other mode. GRID Legends is a great excuse to have some automotive fun.

Feb 24, 2022GRID Legends absolutely nails its role as a tried and true "simcade" experience thanks to well-balanced gameplay mechanics, a healthy variety of vehicle types and track designs and just an overall fun feel. It's easily one of the most well-built racers I've played in a while.

Feb 28, 2022‘GRID Legends’ is a damn fun simcade racing game. While it’s not the most riveting story, ‘Driven to Glory’ is honestly a fun and intriguing story to make you want to keep going for hours and hours. The gameplay and overall game quality are solid, but not perfect, and visually it’s worth the time and energy ripping up the street or the track. EA and Codemasters are working to make this game evergreen with upcoming content and what they describe to be a cool online mode (didn’t report on that due it error issues on my end). This is definitely worth your time and money for sure.

Mar 18, 2022GRID Legends is a good game that can keep entertaining fans of arcade circuit races for a decent number of hours. Although the story mode is not very successful.
-
Feb 25, 2022Grid Legends delights with superb orchestrated, entertaining races, but it leaves a lot of potential untapped in terms of career and team management.
-
Feb 25, 2022GRID Legends goes on the most arcade soul of Codemasters by focusing on quantity and fun. Driven to Glory, the story mode, is quite a disaster and the Career progression is a bit chaotic, but the game has so much content to offer to enjoy. Codemasters achieves to bring thrilling races on the screen and the idea to have the chance to play every single mode in multiplayer is a nice touch to strengthen the experience of a fun and compelling arcade racing game.
-
Mar 14, 2022The brand-new story model endows GRID Legends richer stand-alone content. This game has rich authorized vehicle types and strong manoeuvrability. Furthermore, with a great show of friendliness, it is also fairly suitable for novice players who are keen on racing video games. Unfortunately, the model of track race is somewhat excessively monotonous, while the lack of support for the steering wheel affects the player's control experience. In addition, the setting of "nemesis" and the punishment system is not reasonable as well.
-
Feb 25, 2022GRID Legends does its job but nothing more. More than ever, it is an arcade experience that promises a lot and delivers some of it, and the result is a franchise that still hasn’t found the quality leap it needs.
-
Feb 25, 2022Much like the previous title released in 2019, GRID Legends will not revolutionize the history of racing games, but it is still very good arcade entertainment. If it does not go far enough in the depth of its career mode and in the possibilities of customizing the liveries, the title is on the other hand very complete on its most raw aspect.
-
Feb 28, 2022GRID Legends makes racing exciting again thanks to its concise story mode, strong AI competitors, dramatic races, vehicle variety, and strong multiplayer. It’s just a pity that most tracks are too familiar and team management is lacking.
-
Feb 25, 2022Grid Legends is a fun driving experience for fans, but it's pretty far from what Grid has always been for long time virtual drivers and has some ideas that needed a better refinement. Despite this, the game is enjoyable and full of contents to explore.
-
May 13, 2024Grid Legends achieves a great deal at nailing down the fundamentals of a modern racer, but not much else. While the roster of cars is fine, the upgrade system and process of obtaining new vehicles leaves something to be desired. Codemasters provides handling of most vehicles on the track and stable performance and visuals on PC to make up for the awkward feeling story mode and lacklustre AI in offline modes. In the end, Grid Legends doesn't quite match up to the competition but may be worth a look as a more straightforward title.
-
Feb 25, 2022GRID Legends brings more content into its own funny arcade racing mix, but story mode is too linear to be entertaining, even if it's technically valid.
-
Feb 25, 2022And there is one more advantage of GRID Legends over its ancestor – graphics, obviously. Actually, the game looks really pretty on its own terms and won’t be ashamed in front of Forza or even Gran Turismo 7. Rain is especially well done; it may be the first time when I was impressed by weather effects nearly as much as in DriveClub (yup, the one released in 2014; this game still has stunning graphics). Also environments are very detailed and decorated with dense crowds of people or fireworks.
-
Feb 25, 2022Grid Legends tries to get in the slipstream of Gran Turismo 7 but we doubt his engine will have the grunt to give Polyphony Digital a good run for their money.
-
Feb 24, 2022GRID Legends is definitely an improvement on its 2019 predecessor and is a solid pick-up for anyone who enjoys casual racing games. The Driven to Glory story mode is a fine addition, but won’t blow anyone away, and while it does feature the franchise’s best in-game racing yet, it doesn’t quite match up to its competitors.
-
Mar 2, 2022GRID: Legends is a good arcade racer, but it doesn't offer enough new stuff from the 2019 GRID game, making it quite a dispensable game. The comeback of drifting is cool, but the story mode is quite lame, and most of the content seems just to have been ported from the 2019 opus.

Feb 24, 2022Still, there’s loads here to like. It doesn’t feel like an all-time classic, probably because the original Race Driver Grid nailed the feeling of metal and rubber clattering down San Francisco hills far more convincingly. Think of this more as the track-based sibling of Dirt 5, with everything good and bad that comparison implies. But as with that game, there are few mass-market racers better than this in the current climate, so it’s definitely worth your attention.
-
Jan 24, 2023If you’re like me and want something more, Legends is disappointing. While it’s commendable that Codemasters managed to get the game running on mobile hardware, making this a Quest exclusive instead of an optional VR mode on other platforms adds an expectation that simply hasn’t been met. Even though the racing remains enjoyable, you could play this anywhere else and have a better time. The wider compromises on Quest aren’t worth it.

Mar 10, 2022Boring game with beautiful graphics. Nothing new compared to previous games. Story? What story? :) Great to play when there's nothing else to play.
