One of the best Gta ever made after San Andreas, and on pc with mods you can literally do everything that pass in your mind :D

Plus after all those years still one of the most played games nowdays.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. A technical accomplishment as always but there's really nothing to do in end game and the final missions are far from climactic. Even though I chose the 'death wish' option I just breezed through it. I suppose 1,500,000 of free in game cash will do that though zzzzzz. Maybe I won't pre order games anymore. Nothing much to spend your money on really though. Weapons of course, a few vehicles, not many. The map just isn't utilised during the missions either. There's so much more they could have done with it. I'm hoping that GTA online will offer up a reason to keep playing. Expand

Speaking of bank account I wished there was more to money, I saved my money until I had enough to buy the businesses (except for golf course which is extremely expensive) however I was disappointed the businesses are rather bland, most offer nothing except for X $ per week and you can't even walk into your business or anything. The side missions are pretty repetitive and some are way too long to squeeze out playtime such as collecting 30 metals, etc which takes tedious hours.

Overall I still like the game a lot though, the world is beautiful, the driving is fun, the story is good. Side activities and options after the story are weak.

This is a perfectly fine game, but not the 100/100 or game of the decade that it's being made out to be. Best: Unique characters, graphics, no open world restrictions, some really funny moments
Moderate: Lack of stuff to do in the open world, surprisingly repetitive quickly
Worst: Online play is an abortion, the story just drags and gets irrelevant after a while (didn't even finish it)

This review comes after the PC version has been out for a few months now. The things that are good are the single player story, the visuals, the customization, the performance on a high-end rig. Things that are not so good are the bugs, the rampant cheating in multiplayer, and the dwindling online community.

At launch I would have given this a solid 9 out of 10. However, over time, more bugs have crept in. There are some FPS drops now even on a GTX 980TI. As I mentioned, the multiplayer cheats and hacks are out of control.

Overall, the negatives were minor detractors for me. The combined experience is fantastic. The unscripted mayhem that happens in multiplayer missions and heists is pure gold. I can easily recommend picking this one up at full price. If you see it on sale, just shut up and buy it :)

    Pros:
    Story
    Amount of content
    Switching characters mechanic

    Cons:
Wish there was more of a focus on Michael's story with his family. Thought they were the most interesting.
The music collection could be better, wish there was a Hardstyle channel.
Lester not being a playable character, it would have been fun to play as him doing stuff on his computer to help the team.

First of all why is it not possible for a company to create a PC friendly UI? This UI sucks, period. 2nd, the loading times....wtf? I have an SSD and the loading times can be ridiculously stupid at times. I can't imagine how bad they are on a HDD.

The game looks and feels fantastic....other than the driving which is as bad as any other GTA game. Still, the immersion that exists as you are driving down the freeway in what feels like a real city is unmatched by any other game. Still the more you play the illusion is revealed. You cannot enter any buildings, you cannot interact with people unless it is to attack them. It is understandable, but disappointing at times nonetheless. You walk past a nightclub at night and can hear the music inside but you cannot go in. how cool would that have been? At least a few area. I would have liked to have seen more shops maybe, something. It is kind of going back to Disney World as an adult, knowing everything is just a shell steals the magic away from you.

Anyway, 8 out of 10 is a fair score for the game. It is still awesome despite the few shortcomings.

The terrible community. While this issue can be found in many other games, GTA V is no different. I feel this shortcoming is self-evident, so I see no reason to expand on it further.

And that's about it. Not many bad things about this game. I should mention that the keybindings are a little bit illogical for PC. You fly airplanes with numpad... what the heck? But besides these minor annoyances, I think GTA V is a great game. I do not think it deserves such a high score though.

    The Pros:

    Great graphics.
    Great music.
Still capable of using own music with "built-in" radio station suitably called "Self Radio"
(This is not rocket science, but some people appear to have trouble using it...I dunno why)
Fairly decent single player campaign/story mode with a feasible, somewhat realistic plot (for a GTA game at least).
Playing through the campaign with three separate characters as opposed to just one throughout adds a fresh twist to the game and clearly seems to have allowed for a greater level of plot to be created.
Moddable. It's entirely moddable. The down side of that is that already some dumbass clowns have already tried to infect people's computers with nasties aplenty - one such mod springing to mind is the angry planes mod - which after having been uploaded, stayed uploaded for some time until it came to various people's attention that it needed taking down pronto.
The other downside of modding GTA is if you're caught using mods on GTA V whilst online, you do run the risk of getting banned.
    Potential for great multiplayer experiences.

    Cons:

Only two for steam users - not sure about the retail version though.
    1. Loading times take the piss. That is, to some extent I imagine, likely to change with the aforementioned update due to roll out in a few day's time. Seamless, load-free action. The impression I'm given from that and what I've seen is that if you see something you want to take part in, you just get in there and get on with it, as opposed to the current 'choose a job' wait for the job to load, finish the job, rate the job, load another job, etc ad nauseum. This is going to be a massive update and I really hope it works.
    2. For some reason, Rockstar don't appear to be happy with only having to 'activate' the game once through online means, preferring that if you're going to use the game you paid good money for, having you to wait for it to get 'activated' at launch, every. Flippin'. Time.
    Annoying as hell.
    3. As much as there is a potential for great multiplayer experiences with this game, as you can imagine there's also a potential to come across some pretty stupid wankers. By and large, the community seems to be fairly decent enough, with only a few children ruining it for everyone else.

GTA for the PC has come along very well and looks to be continuing to improve effectively. If only they would get rid of the blasted long intros and the absolutely ridiculous activation process - when surely random activation checks would be better than on a per launch basis.

Now multiplayer has actually some severe issues:
    - a HUGE map is absolutely not utilized. Very few good missions and only 4heists (not counting 1st one which is tutorial). You end up doing few same missions and heist over and over and over
    - server thing is very badly designed. 50% of the time you watch loading screens and sit in mission/heist setup screen. It's not fluid at all, loading after loading after loading...
    - matchmaking - this game is absolutely not designed to play with people you don't know (aka randoms) it makes frustrating game even more frustrating. For example, leaving in the middle of heist, ruining mission on purpose, or playing unprepared - like going to heists at rank 5.
    - server stability issues - sometimes it's ok, sometimes nearly unplayable - things are teleporting, lag freezes, game hangs up in certain scenarios or ppl get disconnected. It definitely has technical issues
    - It's extremely repetitive because of a reason I mentioned in first point, so it get boring very quickly because of a lack of proper diversity of activities that are actually fun. Some activities are nearly useless and boring.

Giving weak 8/10 just because of great SP campaign.

When you fill you PC with shat that's what you will get shat. I bet most of these idiots don't even have a real AV, and browse pron sites with malware on their PCs. I was able to get online and play since minute 1 of the release. Mind you I'm glad I wasn't playing the Steam version of this game, as it seems that that's where most of the issues lied, with Steam. I had 3 people play with me online since minute one, non of us played the Steam version.

Prior to launching the game for the first time I used DUU to clean my graphics driver from my system, and then proceeded to install the AMD 15.4 beta driver that supports GTA V, reboot and reboot. Nvidia has a GTA V release driver as well. Is the game perfect, no, there are still some graphical glitches and last night the game crashed on me. This is to be expected. On day one I played about 5 hours of this game and no crashes, day two I played 4 hours and it ran fine as well, day three I played 2 hours and the game crashed. Oh well, it is playable and these issues will get patched out.

The online works a lot better than the console versions of the game, you can actually play with people online. You can get into other rooms and heist setups, unlike my experience with the Xbox One version.

I haven't played GTA since GTA 2, now I'm back because of the online. The online is fun when playing with your buddies.

    - it seems like the driving is a bit more "arcade" style that it was in IV.
    - It seems like the city is not "giving over" that great feeling like it was in IV.
    - And it does not feel in the beginning that I would "fell in love" with the characters..

First off, to all the people giving the game a zero because it doesn't work on their crappy PC or having initial 'technical issues', please remove yourselves from the genetic gene-pool by punching yourself in the face repeatedly until dead. The game is not a zero, you are.
Beautiful game, love the vibe of the street and the various crazies that roam them. Love the 3 characters, really

Beautiful game, love the vibe of the street and the various crazies that roam them. Love the 3 characters, really fresh to have this variety. Glitch free so far and about 7 hours in, feel like I've barely scratched the surface of what i can do in the game.

Rockstar promised that the PC edition of GTA V would be the best way to experience this breathtaking game, and that’s exactly what it is. [06/2015, p.48]

We could not expect a better PC port PC for Grand Theft Auto V. Rockstar North, offers right from day one a huge game in optimized, widely scalable, and high impact graphics and the video editor, although not so easy to use, is an enjoyable addition.
