    Umm.. tell me a thing what is NOT nice PC optimization...
    The game has an bad optimization on PC version that you'll need an high-end graphic card to play it on low-medium settings

    Freedom is really the best time was the best graphics, but the mission fails, restart the system without a save point .... Was the worst. But still, no matter how it's traditional ahswiwotda gta series

    Nice game, but not good enough to be considered the best chapter of GTA saga.
    In comparison to GTA San Andreas does not have that atmosphere that I remember very well so far.
    The city is small and gray. Of course, it's New York, but I remember better the Liberty City of GTA III.
    Another defect is the bad optimization on PC.

    rockstar did a major screw up with the PC port but it got "kinda" patched. New engine opened new modding opportunities. Bad voice acting. Niko's serbian sounds like some douchebag from the us trying to fit in in a group of slavs. Giving the player choices was a bad idea imo. GTA has a fixed storyline and it should remain that way. i dont get the hate though. Shooting and driving wasrockstar did a major screw up with the PC port but it got "kinda" patched.     Well this game contains the "best" storyline I have seen so far. The constant twists in the plot make it very enjoyable. Unfortunately other than the good storyline it can feel occasionally annoying to be constantly doing missions over and over. Once finish with this game there isn't much you can do except hang out with the protagonists friends, kill civilians, and engage in shoot-outsWell this game contains the "best" storyline I have seen so far. It is near absolute must that you do not buy this game on Steam as this game may fail to start up and a very big bug on the last mission. The major bug prevents the completion of the game on the PC which can be fixed by FRAPS. The graphics aren't the best but are "good" for a game made in 2008. Overall it is a good game with an occasional bug or two a repetitive mission system which can be good or bad depending on if you like missions and the lack of good cheats or anything fun to do after finishing. Although there is a modding community if you wish to change some aspects of the game.… Expand

Thanks to god for Episodes from Liberty City, which makes game playable in some way.

    Poorly optimized game i would give 2/10 for that. Otherwise this game is really good. I like playing as Niko Bellic, the Serbian protagonist. The FPS are same as 800x600 low vs 1980x1080 full hd

    I like the way Rockstar went with this GTA. I enjoyed the single player missions, the story and characters. In my opinion, the soundtrack is the best one of all GTAs. If you ignore the day one optimization for PC, this game was incredible. My score is 8 out of 10.

    El primer GTA que pasa a la nueva generación, con un mapa ni tan grande y ni tan chico, el contenido secundario es repetitivo y aburrido, los NPC están aceptables y los gráficos son muy buenos para la época.

    Я много раз её перепроходил, потому что она была оптимальной точкой между 5-ой и Сан-Андреасом, игра вполне себе приличная, так что 8/10.

    El mundo se siente más vivo que en ningún GTA, los personajes dejan de ser NPCS y son personas    GTA IV me parece el camino indicado a seguir en la saga. GTA IV tiene una historia y un tono en general mucho más adulto y oscuro de la violencia, a diferencia de los anteriores títulos y GTA V, los cuales repiten el humor tonto y toman la violencia desde un punto mucho más básico y cómico.

    El mundo se siente más vivo que en ningún GTA, los personajes dejan de ser NPCS y son personas que quieren quedar contigo para comer, ver cosas o jugar mientras te hablan de como se sienten como están o como les va la vida, mantienes una relación con aquellas personas que conoces, puedes quedar con ellas, pedirles favores o consejo mientras haces una misión.

    Es absurdo la cantidad de opciones que tienes en el juego para hacer cosas o interactuar con personajes, simplemente con decirte que cada misión tiene 2 conversaciones distintas mientras vas de punto A y B, de modo que si se da el caso de que mueres y tienes que repetirla no vuelves a escuchar la misma conversación otra vez. Y esto se aplica a absolutamente todo lo cual es una locura, pero hace que se sienta natural y vivo, lo cual es muy difícil de hacer en un juego de esta escala.

    Es cierto que en la conducción tal vez intentaron hacerla "demasiado realista" haciendo que muchos vehículos sean muy jodidos de llevar cuando en otras entregas eran fáciles y divertidos, pero no encontraras nada que no te puedas acostumbrar.

    Uno de los mejores GTA´s que hay ahora mismo, aunque se entiende que a mucha gente que solo quería hacer el cabra no le guste.    … Expand

    Obviously, the main character (let me introduce you to the famous Niko Bellic) does NOT have the charisma we all expected with his jogging suit and sloppy appearance. While it has certainly brought its considerable share of disappointments, it has also surely resulted in many impressive improvements.

    Obviously, the main character (let me introduce you to the famous Niko Bellic) does NOT have the charisma we all expected with his jogging suit and sloppy appearance. He is included with a story with highs and lows, often awfully predictable, sometimes quite interesting. If you meet a huge number of different characters, I must admit that they don't evolve much, unlike you who keep climbing the social ladder. The map is huge but you can only get to some parts by playing a lot and it unlocks very slowly. Controls are a bit stiff and Niko is sometimes hard to manipulate. As in each and every GTA game, characters are overly-stereotyped and way too often reduced to their visual appearance. The major flaw of this game is surely its launcher and all the traps and bugs that Rockstar is responsible for, including the overall quality of the PC portage.

    However, online mode is fantastic. The fact that you can take random objects in the streets and throw them away is amazing (too bad they erased this ability in GTA V). Phyiscs are great, the death scenes are fun to watch. Driving in the whole state is fun. The world around you is truly living and reacts to your actions, even if AI is not always at its best. Story is really long and forces you to explore different places and activities (even if missions become honestly repetitive at the end). Graphics are great despite the age (except the colours).    … Expand

    This is a great game, dark and deep story, solid gameplay mechanics, great replayability. I would give this game a 9 or 10 even. But the crappy ass rockstar launcher ruins most of the experience.

    To me this is best GTA game. Amazing physics and truly living open-world, pure atmosphere of a big American city filled with cops, bandits, mafia, immigrants and all of them are bastards. This story deserves more attention from you. It is far more serious than you guys think. Probably the most badass and touchy GTA story. I felt for the characters more than i ever recall doing in my GTATo me this is best GTA game.     Um dos melhores GTA's da franquia. Lançado em 2008, GTA IV ainda surpreende pelo realismo e pelos gráficos, fora a história que é sensacional.

    Só não tem como dar nota 10 pq a otimização desse GTA é totalmente falha, o que pode prejudicar muito a gameplay de quem joga.

    Apprezzo l'aggiornamento fatto in passato dalla Rockstar per la complete edition su steam, però sono già passati un paio di anni e invece di moddarlo preferirei che riaggiungessero alcune musiche delle radio che hanno levato e se fixassero qualche bug o ottimizzare la compatibilità con i nuovi sistemi operativi
    Comunque in fin dei conti è sempre un bel gioco

    Story is so interactive and characters are really good too. Guns feel a little off but still fun.
    Main grind for me is that driving is really boring and the player is punished way too much for dying. But still a great game to play even today.

    Годная часть гташки, мрачная, серая, очень атмосферная. Визуал на высоте и до сих пор смотрится нормально, история Нико была интересной и трагичной, да и геймплей не просел относительно других частей.

    - The handling is not good
    - The Optimisation is horrible on PC
    - The colors are dark and in specific weather, it becomes a black and white game.
    - a lot of customization options were removed from GTA San Andreas

    Küçükken gta'yı çok severdim. Bir yaz boyunca Vice City'de suç yapıp polisi peşime takarak şehri tavaf ettim. Ama hem geçen yılki gta 5 ve şimdiki 4 deneyimim bana keyif vermedi. Ana hikayeler fena değil ama yukarıda bahsettiğim araba sürme simülasyonu durumu canımı sıkıyor. Zaten gta tam olarak görevden göreve koşularak oynanacak bir oyun değil. Açık dünyada gezersin, bir şeyler yaparsın, arada göreve gidersin. Küçükken ben de öyle oynuyordum ama hayatımın şu döneminde, işin gücün arasında, gta'yı keyfe keder oynayacak vaktim yok.

    Neyse gta 4 ile gta serisini (ilk 2 oyunu saymazsak) tamamlamış oldum. Bence serinin kendini en ciddiye alan, en ayakları yere sağlam basan oyunu. Ama o gri görüntüsü ve basık atmosferi insanı bunaltıyor. Ana karakterimiz ve aksanını sevdim. oyunun fiziği, üzerinden neredeyse 15 yıl geçmesine rağmen hala taş gibi. Grafikler, özellikle suratlar epey eskimiş tabii. Bunlar dışında klasik gta işte, ne diyeyim.    … Expand

    Everyone says that it has the best plot in the GTA franchise... but i don't think so. The story is a bit bland, and IMHO does not achieve what it seeks or make you care for any character. But hey, it's a GTA and that means quality. And an impressive city and amount of side content.

    It was PC burner. I like that slovan climate that main characted represented. I appreciate that rockstar decided to make a game with that climate

    Very bad port of a phenomenal game,i love the story and the gameplay aswell. The driving however is pretty annoying and the game also isnt very direct and can leave you without an idea of what to do.

    It definitely gets beaten out by GTA5 in almost every category, but that doesn't make this game any less fun.

    Atmospheric, sometimes gloomy, colorful. It's still the same GTA, but on a larger scale (not a map).

    So close to be 10. I love GTA IV, it has great content, nice graphics and story of course.

    The reason I gave this a score of 8, is because it lacks optimisation to PC port, but putting this aside the game is an "unpolished diamond".

    I heard rumors, that Rockstar's gonna make a Definitive Edition just like they did with San Andreas, hopefully these rumors are true.

    I think it's the best gta game. I would like to see the old dark scary weather in gta 6, the main character niko was really us, he was a player for his dreams, we go to the americas, we would not see the america in our dreams, we would be surprised by the crazy people around us like niko, this helps niko and the player empathize with the player

    Great game, great story. Nico is one of the most relatable GTA characters to this game.

    The PC port is an absolute shame though. Even on modern hardware the game runs worse than GTA V, with some absolutely devestating framedrops especially in the night. I would definitely recommend playing it though.

    Let's start out with the good things, the game looks absolutely brilliant, there it has not disappointed. The Gameplay is not bad, but there's something missing that GTA: San Andreas had, it's the whole atmosphere. The Single Player campaign is certainly worth the money. The Multiplayer is very dull, especially for those who have played SA: Multiplayer, which was a mod. Of Let's start out with the good things, the game looks absolutely brilliant, there it has not disappointed. The Gameplay is not bad, but there's something missing that GTA: San Andreas had, it's the whole atmosphere. The Single Player campaign is certainly worth the money. The Multiplayer is very dull, especially for those who have played SA: Multiplayer, which was a mod. Of course i thought rockstar would be inspired by the great concept, but because the game is a console port with very few changes, they even left the "weaknesses" of consoles in, that's why you cannot have Multiplayer servers with lots of players, and the game is very hard to mod.     I agree with all of the criticism re. DRM and set up. It seems pointless given how quickly pirated/cracked copies arrive online these days. Quite why the game requires registration to Rockstar Social club AND Windows Live is beyond me. Isn't one enough? I had to re-play from the start to unlock acheivement awards and features - (yeah, all pretty daft and unecessary). On top of this there is a serial key and Securom - which I deplore since I have had real problems with this in the past on my old pc. The irony is that illegal downloaders don't go through any of this, so what is the point? Initially I believed that this kind of DRM was there to stop piracy but now I think it's more about killing the used games market. I have so many registrations to different accounts over the last year that it's just getting silly. I am also annoyed that a game that started life and gained its reputation on the PC is now poorly ported over from the 360 - as a result, despite what the packaging states, the 'real world' system requirements are outrageously demanding. Believe when I say that you need serious hardware to get optimum settings on this game. I have 4GB ram, a quad core and a 1GB HD4870 - well in excess of the recommended specs. I have installed a patch as well as a fix for Windows Live but I still wouldn't deem the gameplay smooth. There are still graphical glitches and stuttering frame rates throughout the game and I hope Rockstar put some serious effort into fixing these. In spite of this I still think it's a cracking game, though I'm die hard and have played GTA from its earliest incarnation. The story and characters are the best yet. The game is as bloody as ever but it really has a conscience and like CJ in San Andreas you'll really be drawn in by the game's central character, Niko. Were it not for the silliness listed above the game would have scored a ten. As the game stands - with the Windows Live, Social Club, Key, DRM and the glitches - I'm afraid I have to give it a 7.… Expand

The game overheats my comp like no other, but at least it uses all 4 of my cores =) whoohoo duel core! Other than that, i'd say this game deserves a 7, because its a lot like the other GTA, even the story line. The bad part is that it wasn't optimized properly for the PC (blame over-hyping). If you've got a minimum spec PC, be prepared to play it on low textures and a lower screen-size (800x600 or 800x484).     Only 7 for PC port. It's not too bad PC port. But the problem is: I reside in Russia and I can't play multiplayer without headache with Hamachi or OpenVPN because... LIVE is not available in many developed countries!
    Another problems conclude in: poor framerate, bad optimization, f***cking DVD protection with activation and many more..

    I really enjoyed this game, and was pretty late into buying it. At the time, I did not have the computer required to run it, but when I did, I had a lot of fun. The missions get tedious and boring at times, but the open world without consequences is always something to go back to. The PC port has some annoying bugs, and even after a few years, the graphics are still decent.

    Grand Theft Auto IV has a great engine, the graphics are okay, it has great multiplayer and it runs really smooth. But the score was brought down by low view distance, boring story and one of the worst things to ever happen to games industry also known as games for windows live.

Right after the universally acclaimed and controversial release of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, in 2004, the guys from Rockstar North have been hard at work to bring us a new, different gaming experience. Four years later, we meet Niko Bellic in Liberty City, trying to get away from his dark past, and chase the "American Dream" along with his cousin, Roman.

    I remember when it was first released for the consoles, I was so excited about it that I have watched all of the gameplay missions on YouTube long before it was released for the PC, not owning a console. It's a pity that Rockstar North keeps neglecting their PC fans like that. GTA IV was released on the PC seven full months (and a few days) after the initial console release. Having it come out so late for the PC was definitely a disappointment for me, and dozens of thousands of other fans.

    Grand Theft Auto IV was a major turn in the GTA series. Two major improvements GTA IV brought to the table were new graphics and a brand-new kick-a** engine. At first glance, it seemed as if this game was complete as it was, without the need of a story or anything else at all, it seemed simply amazing, and so it was... at least for a while. Although the graphics and engine improved, the gameplay seemed a little too repetitive after a while, thus making it a little boring, at best.

    The story structure took a different approach from the one in GTA San Andreas: The player was no longer demanded to do this and that and be everybody's b*tch (don't get me wrong, I love GTA San Andreas' plot!), instead he was given more control over the game, that being proved by some critical decisions the player has to make, which all lead to different results.

    In GTA IV you play as Niko Bellic, a Yugoslavian man, in his mid-late 30's who came to Liberty City to chase the American Dream... and kill two guys who betrayed him while he was in the army. That's how to plot kicks off, following a series of twists and events in the search of the almighty dollar and the taste of the sweet revenge.

    Even though GTA IV has a pretty solid plot and activities like bowling, going to comedy clubs, visiting strip clubs, taking helicopter rides above LC, drinking, eating at restaurants and a few others, the gameplay is becoming obsolete after a certain amount of hours into the game. After finishing the main story, I was left looking for ways to get entertained, but shooting cops is not always fun and it became boring after a while doing the same thing over and over again having the same results.

    Every game in the GTA series is known for its great music catalog and GTA IV made no exception. Having a vast amount of radio stations, with hand-picked tracks, the music is great as expected. The sounds were also great. Voice acting was flawless, I was not disappointed for a second, great performance from everyone on the team.

    There are many other aspects of the game that I could talk about, but I'll just stop here as this is not a paid review, it's written almost 5 years after the release of the game and I'm not sure anyone will read this much anyway.

    I gave it a 7 out of 10 because of the delayed release on the PC, for the inevitable repetitive gameplay after a while, also for the lack of places to spend the big hard earned bucks.

    Conclusion: GTA IV truly stands out in the GTA series but it could have been even better. It dissapoints at certain points but it makes up on others. Let's hope GTA V will be a combination of San Andreas & IV in terms of gameplay/graphics/plot.    … Expand

    But other then that, you can't do as much as in San Andreas, in which case the selection of clothing is very limited, you cannot tune your cars, work out to gain strength ect. Later you will be finding yourself not knowing how to spend all of the money you've earned from the missions, there is more ways to earn the cash then to spend it... After all I'll still give this game a very weak 7.

    Just your usual hack and slash GTA game, where you do missions, and wreak havoc on Liberty City. Not the most amazing plot I've ever come across, and I can't say I'm too impressed with the game overall, considering the constant tweaking I had to do with the settings in order to make this poorly optimized PC port run smoothly. Not horrible, but definitely nothing to get excited for.

    -Terrible, and I mean TERRIBLE optimization, the PC port is plain garbage
    -Severe waste of potential on some absences like having different haircuts, customizing cars, weapon customization and/or variety, or having a wider variety of places to hang out in / activities to do
    -Tedious secondary character interaction in the form of dating and hanging out with in-game friends
    -Repetitive and frustrating 100% checklist

    They upgraded their game engine from San Andreas, which is almost the best thing that can be said for the game if put in to comparison with GTA SA. I like how the menu is pumped up with GTA art, and is simple but rather detailed. The story is very rich, and very movie like which fit right in the environment and added to the feel of the game. Also the narrative is enriched with great butThey upgraded their game engine from San Andreas, which is almost the best thing that can be said for the game if put in to comparison with GTA SA. I like how the menu is pumped up with GTA art, and is simple but rather detailed. The story is very rich, and very movie like which fit right in the environment and added to the feel of the game. Also the narrative is enriched with great but dark humor. Americanized Niko is the perfect protagonist for this entry in the series, and Liberty City is just beautiful in the new HD textures. The Graphics are pretty acceptable (if turned to max) even for today's standards. Sound effects are very repetitive though which kinda broke the immersive experience for me, time to time. Animations are flawless, but looks terrifying or awkward because of the rag-doll physics. But that just makes it more fun and entertaining, which is one of the most important things in a game. The voice acting is incredible with a lot of lines, great use of vocal gesticulations and accentuation. Hats off to the writer of dialog and narrative as well, as this is amazingly done, and very believable at that. The color pallet of the game really lack, and pissed me off a lot of times, how uncolored the city was at times. The AI is really simple but good in terms of difficulty and reaction. Except the traffic is really bad if you respect the law of traffic. Because they never heard of it, and will crash in to you non the less. Although the difficulty can't be set, the game offers a challenge for every type of gamer. (Casual or hardcore) I have not found any bugs in the game myself, but seen a few. But none of them are really game breaking, or progression breaking.
    The GAMEPLAY is really basic, but still better than the last entry. Basically it's butter driving and earthquaky when running or aiming. On PC the aiming was good enough, I could easily get head shots. Although the cover system is new, it was pretty decent with a couple of faults, maybe intended. Melee combat was real awesome with the dodge counter attack. Was enjoyable to watch the finishers, but also hard to achieve them. Although the map was smaller, it seems bigger because of the vertical feeling of New York city. But as large as it seemed and beautiful, it was as shallow and empty, with tons of repetitive elements, chore like side activities which where awful and sadly boring as hell. And a lot of them where forced on to you as well. Also it wasn't bad enough that the side activities where repetitive, but the main missions as well are repetitive as fu8k. I mean it's basically a driving shooting and driving back simulator. Which hurts the game at it's core, and destroys everything in it's foundation which was good. It breaks the environment's immersion and even the story's gravity is lifted by the non-existent diversity in quests. Only a couple are even worth remarking, from the 80+ missions. Fast travel helps a lot but also breaks immersion. Also the story is dragging in the first 4 hours, but you can't help to fell in love with the city. Later when the story picks up, you get bored by the city and it's repetitiveness. Somehow it's not balanced enough, and this is holding the game back from what it could have really achieved. Collectibles are meaningless, and are a complete waste of time. I like that there are 2 extra stories added with the DLC's, which is warmly welcomed, and fresh air for the mafia like story. This only enriches the game, and shows how much was put in to details. But also not details that usually a gamer wants. For example I missed how much freedom GTA San Andreas gave you with your character and car customization, also the RPG elements.
    A lot of critics claim this game was an amazingly strong and superb game, but I beg to differ, when all I had to do was look back on their previous game, and saw that this was only a shell of a game. It lacked a lot of content, and also gameplay polish was required. I didn't feel free in this open world, and this gave me an inner conflict whether this game is 8 or 7.
    Overall it's a good game, which is held back by some of it's factors. Slight pacing issues, but mostly lack of content, and also some minor gameplay issues. This felt like a step back content wise from GTA SA.    … Expand

    Но я заметил лишь один минус это управлением вертолетом вот оно реально неудобное.

The game ran at about ~40FPS on medium settings at 1024x768 resolution on my C2D E6600 2.4GHz 2GB DDR2 Quadro 410, but I faced serious stuttering.     I really liked the driving and cover system of this game, which were refreshing after playing the same styled GTA's for the previous 7 years. The story was okay but it never was appealing to me to finish it as GTA V's story is, but still, its a great story. I recently got the game again for my modern PC, and still wasn't able to finish it (probably due to me being busy with GTA V).

    Overall this game is 7/10, but I won't recommend it to people who have little to no patience as this game still has performance and optimization issues on modern PC's. I would suggest downloading community based patches to improve your experience. But to people who want to experience a good open world game with realistic driving, I'd recommend it.    … Expand

Вечно орущие люди, когда ты чутка дал газу или дрифтанул в километре от них, это очень сильно раздражает. Посредственные миссии, такое ощущение что реально игра просто "Hitman", но беда в том, что наш главный герой не дресированный агент или выращен из пробирки с лучшими генами, а ще не лысый, а обычный вояка, который приехал в страну за лучшим будущим и к своему любимому Брату Роману.
    Полиция, тоже отдельное разочарование этой игры, такое ощущение что ее тут просто нет, ну то есть, есть копы и спецназ на этом все, если в той же "GTA:SA" и "GTA V" есть армия и тебя грубо говоря "Ебашат со всего", то здесь 4 звезды = 6 звезд, поэтому RockStar, когда перевыпустили игру добавив в нее ачивки, сделали ачивку уйдите при розыске в 4 звезды, а не 6, потому что ничего координально не меняется вообще.
    Итог
    Игра получилась спорной, после перевыпуска у многих начались с ней проблемы, я уже не помню когда-то давно в нее играл, но перепройдя ее сейчас было тяжело играть, особенно в моментах ,когда игра при железе которое 3 такие игры тянет, она работает с перебоями от 30 до 60 ФПС, но без вертикальной синхронизации играть прям глаза режет, да и так картина то не особо и меняться 7 Рузге палец из 10.    … Expand

    Геймплейно игра превосходная. В остальных аспектах игра мне нравится: тачки ,оружие, все великолепно. Сюжет-- такой типичный боевичок, ничего особенного.
    Почему 7 , а не 10 все очень просто. Концовка просто ужас, я просто не мог залезть на вертолет и постоянно проваливал миссию. К сожалению у столь великой игры такая кривая и недоработанная концовка.    … Expand

    Nice game with a good storyline. Interesting drama. The developers for the first time decided to abandon one ending, which I think is the right choice. I can not call this game a masterpiece. Yes, I liked her, this is a breakthrough for her time, but she is not good enough for me. In addition, she has poor optimization.

    My pc was not ready then and the game was like ultra not ready for any pc back in the days. So... For story would be 8 but the optimalisation ruin that so it's 7.

Although I got it, another problem came right away and that was optimization. OK. It's a fact that my PC at the time was not among the elite of the PC Master Race, but I still expected a smoother game. In the end, I had to settle for low detail and 20FPS. Well, somehow I survived. I really wanted to play the game. I'm a fan of the GTA series and I fell in love with San Andreas. So I had to play the fourth part at all costs, but it just didn't work out very well. What I was looking forward to was multiplayer. I could already imagine shooting with a friend around the city. He is horrible here because of the already mentioned platform, because Games For Windows LIVE gave me a nickname in advance and it was just really bothered with it, but I still managed to join a friend in the final, but after a while it starts to be totally nothing if you are free in the city and do not complete missions. Golden SAMP, where there was always something to do. OK. I've mentioned enough of my disappointment here. Unfortunately, this is not the end of it. While the previous parts were still adding something, for some reason GTA IV is taking away. I don't know if the Rockstar Games didn't have enough time or just decided not to put things into play that we could happily do in San Andreas. We are talking about diving, for example. Maybe stupid for someone, but I personally enjoyed diving a lot in San Andreas and here it could have been many times better thanks to the new engine on which the game runs. Also, we can no longer change our body based on what we eat or strengthen. I understand that not everyone has been a fan of our character changing according to how we behave, but what I don't understand anymore is that we don't have the opportunity to fly a plane here. Damn why? Since the airport is here, I was looking forward to flying over the Liberty City plane, which I will get to. But I'm at the plane, I press the enter button and nothing. Unfortunately, the error was not on my side, but on the side of the developers. In short, you can't fly here by plane. What totally stopped me was the control. The developers here probably tried for realism, which I would say they would succeed, but GTA is not a simulator for me, but a real violent game where you kill everyone around and do what you want. You can't do a lot of things here because of this more real physics, such as the stunts that were born in San Andreas and were buried here and were subsequently revived in GTA V. So now maybe off with a hat and now for the good. I've already bitten the new engine and city. The game looks really good compared to previous parts and has definitely shifted graphically. Liberty City is so dark and maybe someone could say dead, and I believe it won't suit people. But in my eyes, the city had a kind of charm and overall it contributes to the darkness. In comparison, the previous works were quite "cheerful". Really don't forget those quotes. I mean the overall atmosphere. GTA IV is simply darker. Whether it's the city or the soundtrack. GTA IV Theme, please, in my opinion, is one of the best game soundtracks. If the Rockstar Games did anything here, it's the dark atmosphere that the game has. This is also helped by the main protagonist Niko Bellic, who came here to live the American dream and he gradually finds out that it is completely or according to his plans. Overall, the story is, in my opinion, perhaps the best in the series. The missions may not surpass San Andreas or Vice City, but the plot is perhaps the best GTA. The mission simply looks more realistic, for example by being able to cover the corners. At least for some reason, the realism here was good. What's next crack new is the cell phone. Someone has called us here and there before, but this time you have the option to pull out your mobile phone when you want to, and for example call your cousin Roman if you don't want to go to a bowling alley. Yeah. Bowling. At least they added something here and didn't take it away. In the finale and after all, after all, when I just thought they couldn't even do this, Rockstar Games is a good game. It's all about the story. But you have to accept that this is simply not the GTA that we are used to. Unfortunately, all this knocks the game and underlines this to the fullest GFWL for PC versions. Unfortunately, this is "only" a good game, which I recommend despite all the problems.… Expand

    There is a mod called 'Definitive Edition'. I recommend you to play the game with this mod. It largely solves the optimization problems it has. Game is absolutely awesome.

    A genuinely ground-breaking blockbuster in videogame history. There were moments playing GTA IV that I thought back to my initial experiences with games, and realised exactly how far we've come.
