    Унылая коридорная и скриптованная консольная херня, как и хорайзон. Настолько примитивный однообразный геймплей, что вызывает зевоту на самом старте. После такого даже ассасин вальхалла уже не кажется настолько унылым.

    Ожидал чего-то божественного, получил максимально приземлённое и обыденное, то, что видел уже сотню раз в других играх. Не знаю на что здесь молятся сонибои. Просто коридорная игра, со своими достоинствами и недостатками. Ничего сверхъестественного. Было много игр, в которых я с большим удовольствием время проводил.Ожидал чего-то божественного, получил максимально приземлённое и обыденное, то, что видел уже сотню раз в других играх. Не знаю на что здесь молятся сонибои. Просто коридорная игра, со своими достоинствами и недостатками. Ничего сверхъестественного. Было много игр, в которых я с большим удовольствием время проводил.

    The game causes motion sickness. It needs a FOV adjustment and they need to stop forcing it on players. We dont want forced TAA and Depth of field. Modders had to release a fix for this while the game devs remain stubborn and silent. Thats tells you all you need to know. They would rather ddletee posts than allow users to run narive resolution without forced TAA.

    I think the game doesn't really know what it wants to be. It's not a good beat 'em up, it's not a good RPG, it's not a good story game, and it's not a good adventure game. It's thrown together the worst of all genres. The camera work is very uncomfortable. There are few enemy types that are repeated all the time, making the game very monotonous. The combat system is also manageable and itI think the game doesn't really know what it wants to be. It's not a good beat 'em up, it's not a good RPG, it's not a good story game, and it's not a good adventure game. It's thrown together the worst of all genres. The camera work is very uncomfortable. There are few enemy types that are repeated all the time, making the game very monotonous. The combat system is also manageable and it is actually sufficient to always press the left mouse button and to roll every now and then to dodge. This makes the combat experience very boring.     Hayatımda gördüğüm en rezil portlardan biri. Hala insanlar bu poh parçasını nasıl savunuyor akıl erdiremiyorum. 60 oyunum 60 FPS çalışmasına rağmen sürekli kasmalar yaşıyordum. O yüzden FPS'i 30'a sabitledim.

    Uh, the worst port ever Hdr implementation is terrible. Played it on PS4 before with great hdr will play it again on my ps4, even if it's a 30 fps cap. HDR makes this game so much better

I understand that this is just a port made for PC players who don't own a PS4/PS5, but I still expect some new content. Not to mention TLOU was a 1 year old game at the time, while this game is almost 4 years old at $50 with no new content or DLC. Considering how close the camera is to Kratos, they should have added a first person mode.

    For goodness sake, why does this game still have unskippable cutscenes? Skippable cutscenes is perhaps the most basic and easiest feature to implement in a video game, even indie developers can do it. Unbelievable that unskippable cutscenes are still a thing in 2022. This isn't even a game, this is a movie. The story is the typical Arty Farty "I'm so miserable" cliche trash that has been done a gazillion times already in video games. I should be able to skip all that. I just want to beat up some monsters. Speaking of monsters, there is still no enemy variety. The developers could have added new enemies and side quests, but the developers were too cheap and lazy for that. Everytime I die, it is the exact same slow death animation over and over again. More deaths animations could have been new content for this game. Forget new death animations, why aren't the death animations physics-based? Speaking of physics, the physics in this game are pathetic and laughable.

    There is still no multiplayer in this game. So once you beat the story, there is not a reason to play this game again. Charging $50 for a game with no replay value is a cash grab. And the greedy developers had the audacity to slap the "Only On Playstation" label on the PS4 version, only to find out that this so-called "exclusive" is on PC as well. That is false advertising, considering that this game is actually a timed-exclusive. I don't recommend this game at all for those that own a PS4 or PS5. If you don't have one, then I only recommend you buy this game until it is $10 or cheaper.    … Expand

    El mismo juego que el de PS4, juego lineal donde los haya, escenarios vacios, repeticion de enemigos y de exploracion 0, lo tuve en ps4 y es exactamente el mismo, sin ningun añadido extra, por poco que fuese, para un juego, corto, repetitivo y vacio, solo para fanboys (de este juego, porque de god of war solo tiene el nombre, nada mas)

    Kratos can jump very high in cut scenes and is able to lift and crush huge rocks, but in the gameplay he cant even climb/jump a 8 foot wall or kick in/lift a flimsy gate.
    Puzzles are too easy and always the same kind.
    The world is a typical console game one, where you feel trapped in a small valley.
    Exploration is extremely limited because of that.
    Not much happens in the game. Just boring fight after boring fight and easy puzzle after easy puzzle, while your son screams the same lines all the time.

    While visually impressive, with fantastic art direction, this game borrows too much from other successful games. I couldn’t get attached to the narrative because no matter what happened, I couldn’t stop thinking about how much they are copying The Last Of Us.

    This game is very overhyped, I found the combat to be extremely boring.
    I'm not a fan of superhero movies, and when one guy throws another one across over a building and they still stand up and fight back I just shake my head and leave.

    WHen I read "good pc port" I feel sad for kids nowadays think this is a good pc port. GTA is a good PC port. This just a mess. Locked cameras or certain puzzles you need to solve are so unbelievably hard only because of keyboard. Frustrating battles where your mouse refuses to cooperate. 6/10, sure, 10/10 feels bad kids

The level design really needs some work as it brings down other scores.

    Gameplay 1/10 - It is downright horrendous. The combat is an incredibly repetitive hack and slash with little variety in fighting styles. Every single enemy is essentially copy-pasted bullet sponges and this includes the bosses. With artificial difficulty and level scaling included, it's even more infuriating and tedious to kill enemies and it feels as if I never even made any progress since even common enemies take time to kill. Not only that, the simplistic puzzles just bring the game to a halt and cause a headache as they are usually hidden in the most obscure locations possible and it requires you to look around everywhere with the horrid camera.

    Performance 10/10 - I can actually run this game on medium/high settings on a 1050ti mobile with decent framerates so god damn that's pretty good optimization. This should be expected though cause the game was already done and just ported to PC a few years after so this part will not affect the overall score.

    Lore 5/10 - All their problems would not exist if Kratos just talked it out with Baldur and it was very possible too since Baldur was literally down to solve things peacefully before they started fighting. They really should have just gotten rid of Baldur completely, it would have made the game at least bearable. Also, boy of war sounds like a pasty angsty white kid rather than some nordic kid from Midgard. This really broke the immersion and made the game all the more unbearable.

    Experience 1/10 - I have never played a game as boring as this when it's rated so highly. I really tried to get into it too, I played a good 10-20 hours but I just can't bring myself to play it any longer. Firstly there are wayyyyy too many cinematics and situations where you just traverse the terrain. It just gets so boring and repetitive when a good 40%-60% of the game is just doing that. Furthermore, boy of war can't keep his mouth shut for 5 seconds. Not only did they have the audacity to give him the most annoying voice in all of Midgard, but also make him on par with Horizon: Instructions West. GoW really couldn't escape the influence of the **** formula huh? As for the golden coat I mentioned earlier is possible due to the linearity of the game. Due to the linearity of the game, the developers are able to carefully craft and choose what the player sees, thus they made everything we see really high quality visually and tried to hide its mountains of **** distracting the player with its shiny graphics and detailed snow.    … Expand

    Camera was a problem, rpg elements too, economy was awful. However, it has its moments and can truly amaze you when it wants to. i never felt boredom, or the game is being extended. 8 is a fitiing number for game my style trying to achieve perfection.

    I don't have a console background, but for a PC gamer this game is very linear boring and repetitive platformer/slasher.

    Open world? None. Exploration? Not there. Creative quests? Lulwhat. Variety of weapons? Axe and... bare hands. Interesting monsters? Big, not equal to interesting. Story? It's linear. Environment? 3 types of chests in the forest. Graphics? It's nice for AAA title.     Kratos is a train on rails. Max you get a dead end side corridor with yet another same looking chest. Sometimes to move forward you get a "fit a square peg into a square hole" puzzle.
    Then you get to fights. One monster, slash, slash, dodge, for 2 mins. Replaced with two of the same kind that you slash for another 4 mins while your camera spins in circles... Chores. Then you get a big fat monster that you kill via a thousand papercuts in 30 mins.

    There are Witcher, RDR2, Cyberpunk, Death Stranding, etc. all with awesome story and huge open world. There are Left4Dead, Doom and Serious Sam is you want trash with monsters. Cuphead and Super Meat Boy if you like indy platformers. Why GoW?    … Expand

    Let's start with the good: the combat. The combat is great, it feels great, it's super fun. Weapons have good feel to them, the feedback from striking enemies is good.

    The bad: everything else. The story is just some world building that doesn't go anywhere or gets resolved. The exploration and movement is a **** CHORE. There are these hidden loading screens all over the place that make it quite annoying to move, not to mention that the Dad moves at snails pace. Dad can't even jump or do any sort of platforming, but rather you can press a button to interact with a ledge, watch a mini cutscene and jump on it. As a result, backtracking in this game is physically painful.

    Most of the game is a linear corridor, however that is disguised with fake verticality and platforming sections that amount to a lot of cutscene watching.

    There is also typical American / Hollywood propaganda here. Kratos (men) is useless and has a bad relationship with his son, Freya (women) of course is the opposite. It's all so tiresome. Makes you wonder in what kind of home were all of these writers raised.    … Expand

    God of War is more or less a game for everyone who is not afraid of action gameplay and appreciates good narrative and production quality. It's also great to watch, so it can be recommended to extended family members over the series. [Issue#317]

    After more than 55 hours spent playing, I’m still awed by just how great God of War is. This is the result of a clear, determined vision, its separate elements harmonizing almost perfectly to deliver an experience that understands the series’ blood-soaked origins but is also not afraid to push it into a more mature and nuanced direction. Kratos and Atreus’ relationship develops naturally as does their understanding of the foreign land they’re journeying through. The story takes its time, never rushing its satisfying reveals, and making way for a set of surprisingly personal boss fights, while the continuous camera shot used throughout the game is a masterstroke in terms of presentation. All this is built around a snappy and responsive combat system that has more depth than you’re initially led to believe. There are more jaw-dropping surprises I didn’t touch upon simply because it’s best that you experience them for yourself. Looking back, aside from the port’s few performance flaws, my only real complaint has to do with Sony taking this long to bring the game to PC.

The scale of the narrative, the divine but always human Kratos, the "boy" who sees everything with childlike enthusiasm, all this offers the player a thrilling story that has at its heart the most human and natural relationship between a parent and his child.
