I can say without a doubt that Ragnarok takes advantage of the PC’s power better than any of the other games from the Playstation family.

God of War Ragnarok is just as stunning as it was on PS5, and those wanting to enjoy such an incredible game now have the chance on PC.

With all the video game movies being made these days (some good some bad)… it is not surprising that God Of War is joining their ranks. The best thing is whether the movie is a success or not… you can play God Of War Ragnarok and feel like you are playing a movie right now! If you’ve enjoyed the previous games or want to see what it’s all about… grab a copy. It’s a brilliant game on many levels and there’s plenty of lore to get caught up in.

God of War: Ragnarök from Santa Monica Studio and Sony Interactive Entertainment is a beast on the PC. It brings the same big adventure while sporting some of the most gorgeous graphics the game has shown to date.

Even if you’ve already played the game to 100% on PS5, you’ll likely get something out of witnessing God of War Ragnarok again in all its glory on a PC.

God of War Ragnarök comes to PC with a very polished and well-executed version if we talk about performance level, performing fantastically well on a high-end PC and also doing a good job on a more modest computer such as one of the "Steam Deck" pocket computers that are now present on the market.

God of War Ragnarok for PC establishes itself as a more than worthy version of Santa Monica Studio's acclaimed title. With solid performance, a good range of options and a few minor improvements, Kratos can now tackle fatherhood in style.

God of War: Ragnarök is quite a piece for its high visual quality and exceptional performance. It is not necessary to use DLSS or FSR to enjoy the game. Although playing with a mouse and keyboard can be difficult but it is a successful PlayStation port. The graphics, combined with the immersion provided by the Dualsense, make PC players feel comfortable experiencing this acclaimed franchise.

There isn’t much left to say about God of War Ragnarök that hasn’t already been said with its console release. The PC version is an excellent port with impressive optimization, allowing this masterpiece to be enjoyed by an even larger audience.

God of War: Ragnarök's PC port is certainly packed with features, and while most players won’t encounter some of the issues outlined above, the button prompts problem can remain an annoyance for those who like the Classic control scheme. It’s also possible some of the bugs we ran into were just strange accidents, as we cannot replicate them again aside from Atreus’ green hair on Deck. With that in mind, while PS5 may still be the ideal way to play, the PC version will allow players to experience the game at the absolute best visual quality it can hit.

God of War: Ragnarök is, for many, one of the best games available on PS5 and now comes to PC in exquisite quality. It's an almost perfect port, except for some minor details that will surely be corrected with successive patches. If you haven't tried it and you have a half-decent PC, do it as soon as possible, you'll love it and you'll also enjoy the best version available.

God of War Ragnarok shines on PC. Packed with all the graphical bells and whistles you’d hope for in 2024, alongside the game’s brilliant Valhalla mode, there’s no doubt this is the definitive way to experience Kratos’ final Norse outing.

God of War Ragnarök is an amazing achievement and it remains a must-play game for fans of action-RPGs. The port to PC is a model of technical polish, smart changes, and generous content. If you haven’t played God of War Ragnarök, and have a moderately powerful PC, it’s time. If you’ve played it on PS5 and have a good to high-end rig, playing it on PC is not only worth your time, but an even more impressive experience than on the console.

One of the best PlayStation games of recent years gets an equally good port: God of War Ragnarök is also a hit on the PC and plays more smoothly than ever - countless settings make it possible. An almost perfect port.

God of War Ragnarök for PC is the ultimate way to experience this epic Norse adventure without the need for a monster PC. In terms of graphics and performance, the game rarely drops a stitch, but the PC port manages to elevate the already sky-high level of the PlayStation version to an even higher standard.

God of War Ragnarok follows its predecessor’s path for its PC port, offering players the best version of the adventures of Kratos and Atreus. Of course the game takes advantage of the power of PCs and their exclusive technologies to push even further the visual quality, yet already impressive on PlayStation 5: native 4k, framerate unlocked, DLSS or FSR are particularly in the game to offer optimal performance for the vast majority of configurations.

If only all PC game ports were this polished. Ragnarök runs smoothly on PC, with no crashes, offering all the post-launch content from the original game and introducing a few small but welcome updates. Definitely a thumbs up.

God of War: Ragnarok lands on PC with a porting that is perfect, prudent to the right point and wise beyond measure. Thanks to scalability and optimization, practically anyone can enjoy the exploits of Kratos and Atreus. If you also have a recent gaming PC, then your journey into the myth will be absolutely unforgettable.

Jetpack Interactive returns to the scene with a porting of God of War Ragnarok that can enhance Santa Monica's title even more, if possible. The epic of Kratos and Atreus in desktop version improves the quality of the original production and, without overturning the technical layout, boosts the game's solidity, delivering an even more mature and complete product. If you have never experienced Fimbulwinter or are planning to resume the adventures in the nine realms, God of War Ragnarok for PC is still the best version available.

God of War Ragnarok will give PC gamers their money's worth and then some. It's a lengthy adventure and one of Kratos' greatest outings to date. Still, there are some pacing issues and the PSN account requirement is a disappointment. It's unlikely that Sony is going to let-up on the latter, so PC gamers that want to enjoy the company's games without buying a PS5 should keep that in mind.

Keeping with PlayStation Studios' tradition, the PC version of Ragnarok is the definitive way to play and enjoy the epic adventure, regardless of whether you have a beefy high-end gaming rig, or your primary PC is your Steam Deck.

Aside from a couple of hitches that don’t significantly alter the quality of the production, the PC version of God of War Ragnarok shows up to the gamers’ appointment in great shape, ready to drag the masses through the snows of Fimbulwinter. From a performance point of view, we’re talking about a product capable of adapting very well to a wide range of configurations, thanks to the precautions taken by Santa Monica already at the time of the first release. Although the gap between the PS5 and PC versions isn’t exceptionally wide, the overall performance of the porting pushes us to confirm without hesitation the evaluation given a couple of years ago, the same one also attributed to the porting of the previous chapter.

It isn't perfect, but God of War: Ragnarok remains a very good adventure game. The main story might meander for a good chunk of time, but the tale in the DLC makes up for that nicely. The action remains solid from beginning to end, and the usual additions made to the PC version and the disabling of hints almost makes up for the questionable decision to make a PSN login mandatory. If that last part isn't a deal-breaker, then you'll have a great time with Ragnarok on the PC.

Even though it doesn't bring significant graphical improvements over the PS5 version and takes up a colossal amount of space on your hard drive, God of War Ragnarok on PC is a good port that has great image quality and decent performance.

The base of the PC port is good, there is good performance, although there are more various minor problems in various areas. Basically, if you enjoyed the first game with Kratos and want more from this world, don't miss the second one.

God of War Ragnarok is one of Sony's best games in recent years and it is on PC very quickly after only 2 years of PS jail, it running amazingly with big spec support, however a little too restrictive in gpu options and graphical settings.

The port is beautiful and it’s hard to complain about its technical aspects. Unfortunately, the game itself, while still good, is not as fascinating as its predecessors. One simply expects more from a series with such reputation, especially when it comes to the joy of smashing things up.

God of War Ragnarok for PC does not boast at any time, and implements a number of restrictions difficult to justify, but ultimately we have a functional port that allows us to enjoy in all its glory of this jewel of the PlayStation catalog.

God of War Ragnarök isn't the cleanest sequel, but it leaves Sony's angriest franchise in a great place.

Even if I don’t enjoy God of War Ragnarök’s cutscenes, having this second chance to play the game now that it’s out on PC has at least made me realize that the newer version of Kratos isn’t as much of a reboot as I previously thought. I wouldn’t say I love the new games as much as I did the originals, and I definitely would’ve enjoyed this game more if it felt a little more focused on action and less on dialogue and characters, but God of War Ragnarök is, at the end of the day, a pretty good continuation of Kratos’ saga (and one that runs very well on PC).

As far as the game itself is concerned, God of War Ragnarok could best be described as a safe sequel. Ragnarok focuses primarily on storytelling and big cinematic moments while refusing to take any chances when it comes to combat, exploration or other parts of the gameplay. This refusal to innovate sometimes backfires as there are plenty of moments when the narrative isn't strong enough to carry the rest of the game. God of War Ragnarok is mostly an enjoyable experience, especially when you include Valhalla as part of the package, but the sequel ultimately falls short in several key areas and isn’t nearly as memorable as its predecessor.

If you've never experienced God of War Ragnarok, then there's a strong chance this port will satisfy you after the extended wait. It's just a pity it's not flawless as the extra time might have you expecting. [Unscored PC Version update]
  3. The cracks in its facade are stark because it’s otherwise such an incredibly vivid work, and the life breathed into it by its animators, artists, and actors is potent enough to survive some deeply odd writing and tonal choices. There’s a wonderful story, I’m sure, to be told about Kratos’s journey from destroyer to conciliator - the glimpses at mythological wonders that are allowed to exist in his presence without getting suplexed into paste here are stunning - this one just feels like it skipped a few steps.

God of War: Ragnarok on PC is yet another confirmation that expertly crafted ports are still possible, despite everything. Stunning graphics (though you’ll need a good PC to handle all that visual splendor), gameplay as sharp as Kratos’ blades, and a gripping narrative that won’t let you go. Sure, there was the risk of relying on past success and resting on its laurels. It doesn’t revolutionize, nor does it need to: it perfects what already worked on the PlayStation platform, with a confidence that few titles manage to maintain. And that’s perfectly fine.
