    I always wanted to be a goat that can pull cars around with its tongue. I hope there will be a patch that adds Oculus Rift support and first person view in the future!

    This game is fun for about 2 hours, after that you realize you just spent 10£ on a shallow joke brought on by the demons of the internet, and somehow you're ok with it because you now know what being a goat feels like!

    Out of what i played of the game, it was amazing! its a great game if you want to have fun and a good laugh. oh, and did i mention that its fun? I wish more developers made games like this.

    All respect for IGN is now lost since they gave this unmitigated pile of goat manure a positive review and I wasted my money on it. I shall be looking elsewhere for advice about purchasing games now.

    No no, It's nothing. Just a clever idea to make easy money by selling dumb stuff to dumb people. This isn't even a game or simulator or whatever they call it. And I don't find it funny. It's ridiculous.

    This is truly the best sandbox game I have ever played. I am greatly looking forward to the integration of Steam Workshop support for this title. Goat.

    This game is truly wonderful and deserves far more appreciation; its so much fun to play and completely random. What more would you want from a game; being a goat, Ostrich and even a Giraffe..

    All these wanna-be critics giving bad reviews to the game are actually missing the point of this game.
    Don't give into their stupidity and pretentious wording, this game is well worth its price, and is definitely fun.

    This is the game that all fans of realistic goat simulation have been waiting for! I graduated from biology & now work as a farmer at a goat farm and I have to applaud the game's simulation. Very realistic, very fun, very engaging simulator overall..

    I was really excited for this game, which is why I was extremely disappointed by how boring it was. The first 40 minutes of this game are absolutely hilarious and really fun but once you find everything the game loses all its value. The map is really small so you can find everything worth finding within an hour (depending on how much time you spend jumping in front of cars).     Sure, this game gave me a laugh, but it reminded me too much of Big Rigs Over the Road Racing. Wonky physics, very little you can do. Probably most entertaining thing was looking at the messed up physics and see what random achievement you earned. I can understand if this game were free for people to just troll around in a sandbox world, but charging the game for 9.00 is a little bit of aSure, this game gave me a laugh, but it reminded me too much of Big Rigs Over the Road Racing. Everytime you think this game gets boring you discover another crazy thing, like a giant wind tunnel, Demonic Goat Rituals or even UFO's. Started as a April Fool, ended up in a crazy beautiful game.     For a sandbox game, they don't really give you much to do. It's fun for about 30 minutes (if not less), then you realize that all it is is a bad physics engine. If they took away the bugs, fixed the optimization, gave more things to do, a map bigger than a tony hawk's pro    It had a lot of potential, but it just doesn't deliver.

    Infinite fun with user made custom maps. This game is absolute insanity. You could even say that is goat is GOTY. The abilities this goat has are amazing.

    While being a nice and certainly fun game to play, it's all based on being completely silly and over-the-top.
    In my opinion, it'd do better as an easter egg in an existing game, rather than being a standalone

    This is probably the most creative game released since Portal. It makes no sense, it is **** crazy, and it is tons of fun. Its strength is its random insanity and lack of any real substance. It is easily worth $10 for the humor.

    BEST GAME I'VE EVER PLAYED. PERIOD. This surpassed all my expectations of an indie game, beating all other AAA titles including all genres such as RTS, FPS, RPG. The dawn of a new age of gaming has arrived.

I also think this game has a lot of modding potential, perhaps adding a goat multiplayer where two teams of goats fight each other using the object around them (COD Goats).

    This game is a delightful romp and at only $9.99 it was a better value than a lot of the F2P junk that comes out these days (like Mechwarrior Online... yuck...).

    It's funny, it's silly, it's buggy, it's goaty - it does everything it say on the tin.

    Goat Simulator doesn't really offer anything new to the Goat genre. It just repackages everything already done in Goat games. For a quick round of jumping, bucking, running, and other goat related gaming, it scratches the itch. If you're looking for hard core goat gaming look somewhere else.

    There are very few games that let you do whatever you feel like at any given moment. Sure you can't drive a car, but you can blow it up by headbutting it. If you're looking for a good time rather than a long story, or have ever wanted to be a goat, this is your game.

    Good game if you feel like fooling around for a while every now and then. Helps to clear your mind of all the bad things that happens in your mundane life and in the world today. This should be implemented in some sort of therapy. Or you could just have a couple of drinks with your friends and **** around for a while. Probably the best thing out of Sweden for a while, or ever.

    If you have seen the trailer, you probably already know if Goat Simulator is for you or not. It's simply an amusing game, with amusing physics, and an amusing world with a surprisingly large amount of things to find and discover. In the end you will get about as much out of this game as you are willing to put in, and that depends on how much you enjoy it's sense of humor.

    A masterpiece, that breaks the self imposed barriers of gaming narrative and ensnares the player with intelligent gameplay and brilliant A.I. Anyone wanting to tackle the same themes will have to be compared to Goat Simulators work in the future, and it won't be pretty.

However it is still an incredibly fun game but it's not worth ten dollars I'm afraid. You can go into this game have a good laugh for an hour or two until you get irritated at the constant frame drops or repetitive nature of the game, butGoat Simulator is a extremely fun yet terribly made game.     I'm not going to make a satire review, so far, as an initial release, it's fun for about a few about hours, but it is incredibly enjoyable to see all the destruction you can make with just being a **** goat, and seeing the scores you can make can make you get a warm fuzzy feeling of accomplishment. It was firstly created as a joke of lowered standards for independent developers that led to a vast specter of terrible quality games, that were mostly simulators.     Though on a second thought, I applaud developers from the financial stand point. Not only they satirized the whole platform of modern indie era of **** simulators, but they also proved the satire completely true by becoming a hit and in a process getting tons of money. And all thanks to the standards, that are pretty much non existent. Smart move.
    This game is nothing much than an unpolished, buggy (yes, I know, that's the point...), and worst of all - unoptimized mess of a title. They didn't even try to make this good, intentionally keeping it pathetically bad. No effort. It's like making movie purposely bad, but in the end it becomes just painful, because it feels like an empty simulation - a soulless experience. And Goat Simulator tried something very similar - there's a reason why we laugh at glitches and things that break logic in a game - they are unintentional. However this was one giant glitch on purpose. And that's the heart of a joke... Also some random cultural references... Big deal.    … Expand

The developers started this off as just a little workshop and we demanded it, and the developer has made a shed load of money for what is a game that has little substance.     If you're looking for a top-notch goat simulator, keep looking. The hornplay is rough, the traffic accidents unfulfilling, and I have seen better action on Can-Eating Extravaganza, Goat Duel II, and Billy Goats' Revenge.

    You must understand the humor behind the game to enjoy the game. I'd suggest watching videos first to see if the humor is your kind of humor. My son can't stop laughing, given that I'd say it was an excellent purchase. Some other reviewers just don't seem to get that. I don't know what they expected. I also doubt they watched videos fisrt.

    This game does exactly what it is meant to, and looks awesome doing so, those who gave this game a bad score, I compare you to critics bashing on a chair for not being a grand throne, the game has no real purpose and provides menial entertainment to those who wish to basically do anything, as a goat.

    Goat Simulator is a game that is pure fun, and with the capability to be modded will give it a very long life. There is much to do in the game, and much funny antics to be had. The game is a nice cheap $10 which is nice. I would recommend it, and would I play it again? Goat/10

    A bit of silly fun that will have you giggling for an hour or two. Probably not worth $10, but you should definitely snag it on sale. New content and mods are coming, too, so it will be a fun game to go back to occasionally for more silliness.

    The game is VERY FUN... For about an hour or two. I really don't mind the bugs (they are intended to be there), but the game is limited to it's core design and gets really repetitive and boring.

    It doesn't worth it's 10 dollar price. Buy it when it's like 1 or 2, laugh a lot (in the short amont of time you will enjoy the game) and uninstall it, cause you won't come back for more.

    The game is fun. Its just short lived fun however. Even with the mods made by other players to play with i would say 2 or 3 hours before most people would get bored. The game is more fun to talk about than play after awhile. If i put a price tag on it i would say its a $5 value. Pointless stupid fun.

You have a little bit of fun with everything then suddenly its just boring when you see that MICHAEL BAY text for like the third time. sure the game has mutators but that just gets boring too. Maybe if the game had more Maps then it would be worth going back to see the new jokes the game has. but for now I cannot even laugh while playing this game.

    Watch the trailer before you purchase this game. For $10, I thought it was well worth the laugh. Funny physics and challenges remind me of playing Tony Hawk's Pro Skater for the N64 as a kid. The novelty does wear off quickly though.

    Goat Simulator is so hilarious that it deserves more than a 10. The randomness sometimes is just so funny, which makes this game enjoyable. The new area in the world makes for more gameplay.

    Problem 3: There are five or six songs. (Minus the ambiance, but let's face it, that doesn't count.) Come on, CoffeeStain, if your only going to make a couple songs, make them GOOD.
    Problem 4: No online multiplayer. This is THE PERFECT GAME for online multiplayer. I'm not talking about Goat MMO Simulator, I'm talking about the non-MMO areas. Goatville and Goat City Bay. (Are those the right names?)

    People react retarded spotting the goat. I would expect my goat alter ego being threatened with captivity or even end up being eaten and that to be a reason to keep low profile before you can find the power ups.
    Be nice to people , charm kids. Next, steal food, escape, power up. Instead the game expects you to play some kind of god mode, and round up hysterical humans with your overpowered horns.
    The humans don't organize, don't form pose, release the dogs to "get that goat".
    I felt bored after 40 minutes and felt sad for the untouched potential.
    You can lick people and they drop as if your tongue was poisoned.
    But how about just stepping into a fashion shop and start eating designer clothes and drop faeces all over the place? That would be a start for a goat "simulator".
    When you touch a car with your horns, it explodes. What about scratching the paint to attract the owner then tickle his nuts?
    On the positive side, the game is simulating some physics that are hard to master (driving a bicycle is not easy but it looks like it can be done) and the player needs to use his feeling and imagination to create funny situations for snapshots.
    At this stage it feels too limited however. To be fixed or to be reserved for people stoned out of their mind and need to concentrate on ..something.    … Expand

    This game was never meant to be taken seriously. Glitches galore, as far as the eye can see. You play as a goat doing impossible crap that not even a psychotic human being could accomplish. Do tricks, get points. Kill people, get points. Take a trip to demonic goat hell, get points. It's like GTA, but goatified. Overall, it's a solid game, but you probably won't enjoy it for a long time.

    Goat Simulator (GS) is a niche game. You must like niches in all their forms and glory to appreciate this game. You must also not consider the value of money and like to spend hours modding things that earn you no glory except being able to text your one friend with a **** grin saying, 'look! look what you can do NOW! isn't it awesome, it's shiny!'

    Anyways, to point:
    This is a small developer project that leaves the player with the impression that after five minutes of playing, you have really played and paid for five minutes of content too. There just isn't that much to do. There is an arcade style of bonuses for very limited activities- such as ooohh boffo! destroy stuff in under a minute! Do a handstand! Do a barrel roll! When in comparison the complexity really arises, and also the enjoyment, in the form of self-appointed goals that the game will never recognize as an achievement.
    Such as: let's set someone on fire, grab him, drag him to someplace high and see if you can then toss him far enough to light the gas station on fire, blow it up and destroy a passing truck. Can you do that? then pioneer the exhibition by posting that video on youtube, because, well really, NO ONE has done that before, right??? In fact, do that while twitch-ing yourself making fake surprised expressions that no one believes wasn't practiced by you sitting in front of a mirror making faces like you were a Disney Animator.

    The strong point of this game is where the developers stop: the user crafted content. Because unless you find new ways to open end crack this very tiny open world environment, you are looking at the deathmatch version of Grand Theft Auto 4 where no one has ever finished the game, because we never got past the joy of driving over peoples feet, getting 5 star warrants and running into the Emergency room with a rocket launcher yelling "allahu akbar."

    So, really, how do you rate a game like this? If you love indie work, love to mod, and love parabolic motions of goats with a neck that does weird things with collision boxes, this game is a 10. But if you feel the cost of a tiny game with a premise that doesn't grow beyond 2 minutes of chuckles, you don't program and you like Stanley Parable rewards for linear gameplay, then this is a 2.

    Hopefully, the developers will add in more content in the near-future, as otherwise counting on Steam Workshop won't bring much longevity to the game.

    This game is unusually funny. Not only is it fun to play and mess around with but it also feels like you can do whatever you want (Mainly because you can do anything with the goat). I know this game is obviously going to get a lot of hate, because people think its a big waist of time. Oddly I think its one of the funniest, exciting, hilarious, and fun PC games out there. And possibly ever.

Whether you're riding a rollercoaster with a DeadMau5 helmet or blasting people away with a dragon shout whilst body boarding across the map, the game won't fool anybody that it's a simulator, and nobody's unironically pretending it to be. That ultimately becomes the crutch and only point of the game, to pass off some laughs for a good hour at the silliness of it all, preferably with friends. Once that initial hour wore off for me, laughs diminished into uninterested smirks and eye rolling boredom. There's nothing else to the game save for a few modifiers, although I expect the modding scene to spice it up slightly more, but with the same results. Make no mistake, it's an intentionally bad game, but it becomes up to your volume of tolerance for this sort of amusement. Like Minecraft, it's limited by your imagination, and unfortunately, I don't have much tolerance for this kind of hilarity.

    Goat Simulator is painfully aware at what it set out to be, stupid fun. The music speaks volumes of its comedic tone. The rag doll physics are 'fine' tuned for maximum ridiculousness. Despite what it's got going for it, Goat Simulator's form of entertainment didn't last long at all for me and only served to highlight the problem with games of this caliber: poorly made games are passed off for only giggles rather than addressing that they do indeed suck.    … Expand

A playground for the imagination flinging people into crowds, barreling through penthouses sending the top floor partygoers plummeting into traffic and getting the gas tank launch just right with a car in tow for an exquisite display of "what the f***" sailing through the air across the map through a roller coaster and into the sea.

    Limited map, crap AI (if you could even call it AI, the NPCs don't even move half of the time), and an overall dull, monotonous, repetitive, unrelieved, unvaried, unimaginative, uneventful piece of crap.

    Stay away from this game.

    - MILLIONS OF BUGS! We're only eliminating the crash-bugs, everything else is hilarious and we're keeping it

    While fun at first, the game gets old very quickly. Secrets to find within the game make it interesting at times and some of the glitches purposefully left in the game give a few chuckles, but other than that it's a rather mediocre game based off of an outdated Internet meme.

    Silly, stupid, but strangely hypnotic. This game has only so much replay value, but with the new addition of the MMO gamemode, it does give quite a bit more to do. A fun game to have a good 10-15 hour blast with on your own but then will usually just be the funny game to show to friends every mow and then. If on sale, pick it up. And press 1 to Baaaaaa.
