Every fan of traditional point n click adventures must play and support Gibbous: A Cthulhu Adventure. A really solid and complete game, including humorous dialogues, smart (but not very difficult) puzzles and a unique cast of characters, with only drawback its relatively short duration.

All in all, Gibbous - A Cthulhu Adventure is a game that no self-proclaimed point-and -click fan should overlook, as it will definitely find a place in your gaming library, comedy movie collection, and finally, your heart.

I’ve played my fair share of indie games, but few felt as polished as Gibbous: A Cthulhu Adventure. A great deal of care has gone into its production, and despite getting pretty dark and serious towards the end, the memorable characters kept me glued and did a fantastic job of propelling the story forward — in every aspect, it’s a fine introduction to the point-and-click genre also title worthy of any veteran.

Gibbous is a charming, old school point&click-adventure with a Lovecraftian twist. Despite it being very much inspired by older titles, Gibbous, for the most part, avoids overly complicated and farfetched solutions to its riddles. Instead, it relies on a lot of wit and attention to detail. The humor is a tad too meta in the beginning of the game, but feels a lot more natural later on. While the story is decent, its ending leaves a bit to be desired.

Excellent graphic adventure that is inspired by the LucasArts classics and the work of Lovecraft to offer a plot full of humor and mystery.

A Cthulhu Adventure is a real treat, and one of the most enjoyable games of its genre and textual influence I’ve played in a long while. It isn’t the longest game by any means, but there are many Easter eggs and cool horror references hidden away to find. Stuck In Attic have excelled themselves with this genuinely funny game and I look forward to seeing what they have to offer next. The one major bugbear throughout this is why they didn’t call it Gibbous: A Cathulhu Adventure.

Gibbous - A Cthulhu Adventure is a quality title which offers engaging story, wonderful visual design, and most importantly remains loyal to its source. Obviously some issues and problems are here and there that might hurt the experience a little especially for hardcore adventure fans, but overal I would definitely recommend it.

Forget about the Cthulhu in its title; you don’t need to be a fan of Lovecraft to enjoy this accomplished point and clicker. Gibbous – A Cthulhu Adventure will tickle your funny bones with its dialogue and won’t leave you flummoxed when faced with its puzzles. And because of that it’s fun from beginning to end. It isn’t groundbreaking in any way, but did anyone expect it to be? It’s just yet another very good entry into a genre that remains ever popular.

Α gorgeous looking game full of humor and overflowing with the love and effort from its creators. Its directing and narrative though get quite middling and with its open ending, it feels more like a collection of mini episodes for "Part 1" of a story rather than a complete package.

A solid first effort from the Romanian outfit, a good narrative just let down by some overly simple puzzling.

Gibbous is a great entry-level point-and-click adventure that has many of the base features of old classics as well as a few new tricks. It very much looks and feels (and even has the humour of such games) as Monkey Island and the like, but it does lack the ingenuity of the puzzles from those games.

Gibbous: A Cthulhu Adventure looks amazing and will make you laugh, but its inability to tell a coherent story prevents this comedy cosmic horror adventure from fulfilling its abundant potential.

If we view Gibbous - A Cthulhu Adventure in the most “objective” terms, it technically gets things right. It looks stylish, it runs smoothly, and it doesn’t come with the bugs you’d expect from modern gaming. However, the details that make a game a hearty recommendation aren’t there. It’s got heart, the amount of care put into its art proves that. But an average story, simple puzzles and shaky voice acting makes for a game pleasant to view but not amazing to play. It can be an alright introduction to the genre for people who haven’t experienced old school adventure games and don’t want to use walkthroughs. Anyone else will find a title that’s pretty, fluid, and underwhelming.

Gibbous is worth your time if you are willing to overlook its numerous oddities and rushed narrative so you can enjoy a few brilliant game design ideas and marvel at the game’s outlandish sets. If Stuck in Attic sets out to create its second game, the studio should scale back its ambitions and definitely hire a professional screenwriter.

The visuals are breathtaking, the amount of custom animations and the amount of dialogue lines is staggering. The various sound tracks truly immerse you into the atmosphere of this world.

It does have small bugs here and there, but nothing game breaking. It's something to be expected of a 3 man indie team. Despite this, the interaction design is very intuitive making the game easy to navigate, and allowing the player to be absorbed by the story, and the puzzles vary from suspiciously straight forward, to cryptic messages that challenge the adventurer in you.

Point & Click adventure done right.

The game is gorgeous. The art is fantastic and the animation is really impressive: stunning and fluid, it's a beauty to behold. All in all, the art and animations are the peak of this game. Beautiful.
The characters are overall pretty great, the cat is super fun with her snarky attitude and the whole cast is interesting enough. The story has up and downs: mostly great, with some very nice moments where you're really drawn into the mistery - but at times - rarely - feels a little rushed and a bit tacky (the Transylvanian castle part). But most of the times it works, it's compelling and you want to keep playing to see what's behind the corner.
Voice acting is a mixed bag. Some very good, other not that great and at times there are some volume discrepancies, but overall it's a decent job.
The puzzles. Well, the game is very easy. The puzzles are all logical to the point that it's really hard to end stuck somewhere in this game. I personally don't mind a low challenge in P&C games, but if you do, know that's it's really easy and not a challenge at all.

Overall: amazing game from a small studio. It's incredible what they achieved with so few people and at their first gaming development experience. This is how you should do P&C games. Can't wait to see their next projects.

A must buy for all P&C adventure fans.
