Aug 22, 2019In once sentence; This game was fun!
The dialogue was funny and the game was engaging, mysterious, aesthetically perfect, and at times it was challenging. For those who don't know, this game is a point and click adventure with a comedic attitude and a Lovecraftian theme. -

Oct 24, 2019I really enjoyed playing this game. The animations are super nice and the cat is really sarcastic. Puzzles are not too hard in most cases but that's alright in my opinion.

Sep 3, 2022It's pretty good! Great visuals and you can play a CAT.
This alone deserves bonus points.
I didn't have too much trouble with the voice acting. -
Aug 26, 2019If anyone was paid anything to do any of the voice acting in this game, they were paid far, far too much. Microsoft Sam could give a more moving, human performance.
If you're deaf and want to know that you're definitely not missing out, this might be the game for you. -

Aug 16, 2019Voice acting and writing is kinda off, but there's a good time to be had with this game.
-
Sep 15, 2019I had a lot of fun playing this game. Almost like in the good old comic quests like stories about Roger Wilco or Zanthia. I can't find anything that would cause an unpleasant impression. Thanks to the developers!

Nov 1, 2019Old school adventure with great graphics and animation and nice humor/puzzles, for a change. Starts a bit slow, IMO.

Aug 10, 2019I agree with the other reviews, the voice acting gave me cancer... and when he starts rapping and you can't skip it... I facepalmed myself so hard I almost ripped my head off.

Sep 23, 2019This game is a super "meh" from me. We all know the overall quality of the P&C games has been very low for the past years, and this is not a bad game, but it's just another one... maybe a little above average, mostly because the art is stunning. The gameplay, the voice acting, the puzzles, the dialogues... are super amateur. (The end will disapoint you guaranteed). They should do animation movies.

Jul 17, 2020An incredibly good modern adventure game that sets off in various noir-themed scenaries from around the world (including the devs' hometown) which are very well ambiented and very immersive, with a beautiful graphical style, incredibly good dub and some incredibly funny voice lines, very recommended.

Jan 21, 2020Solid 7. Charming, cute game. Not the most outstanding game in the genre, but see that developers really tried to create what they like. Interesting and not trivial point-n-click.
-
Jan 20, 2020Very good point and click adventure game. The puzzles are simple, but that's not a big problem to me.
-
May 23, 2020It is a good effort and visuals are actually beyond that. It has funny moments, but overall I would say it falls into the same pit as The Book of Unwritten Tales. If you make fun of clichés a central part of your narrative, I would expect you tobring something new to the table. I liked the references to Lovecraft and the wordplay involved.

Jul 12, 2020One of best adventure games I played. I played it twice, and I love it so much. Beautiful drawings, funny dialogs, interesting puzzles. I am really looking forward to next games like this from this studio.
-
Nov 18, 2020I'd like to say that this game is an object lesson in the importance of not hiring bad voice actors to perform good dialogue. Unfortunately, it's an object lesson in the importance of not hiring the worst voice actors on the planet to perform very mediocre dialogue.

Mar 29, 2021Amazing 13 hours spent in a beautiful and very vivid universe with bright, dark colours and loads of real life references, zingers and challenging puzzles.
Not sure how much I paid but it was worth every last pence of it! -
Oct 28, 2021Good graphics, kinda funny game, love the small references and nice music and ambience too. I love it!

Oct 14, 2019I’ve played my fair share of indie games, but few felt as polished as Gibbous: A Cthulhu Adventure. A great deal of care has gone into its production, and despite getting pretty dark and serious towards the end, the memorable characters kept me glued and did a fantastic job of propelling the story forward — in every aspect, it’s a fine introduction to the point-and-click genre also title worthy of any veteran.
-
Oct 12, 2019Gibbous is worth your time if you are willing to overlook its numerous oddities and rushed narrative so you can enjoy a few brilliant game design ideas and marvel at the game’s outlandish sets. If Stuck in Attic sets out to create its second game, the studio should scale back its ambitions and definitely hire a professional screenwriter.

Oct 8, 2019Gibbous is a great entry-level point-and-click adventure that has many of the base features of old classics as well as a few new tricks. It very much looks and feels (and even has the humour of such games) as Monkey Island and the like, but it does lack the ingenuity of the puzzles from those games.
