Absolutely dreadful game and I usually eat up anything with ghostbusters thrown on it, but this is a clunky horrible mess of an idea and the majority of the mechanics feels useless and added just for filler, like talking to scared members of the public in the buildings who for some reason haven't just left the building while it's being haunted, just something to keep players distracted,Absolutely dreadful game and I usually eat up anything with ghostbusters thrown on it, but this is a clunky horrible mess of an idea and the majority of the mechanics feels useless and added just for filler, like talking to scared members of the public in the buildings who for some reason haven't just left the building while it's being haunted, just something to keep players distracted, the tutorial was nice although it felt awfully like a fortnite DLC package than an original game, I found myself missing the Ghostbusters remastered game pretty quickly while wandering around, best thing about the game is probably the chat with dan akroyd at the start, once the game started you will lose interest very very quickly, it is a hollow empty shell of a game trying to capitalize on the DBD style 4 v 1 gameplay, but the ghosts in this game have boring abilities and instead of attacking the players you basically spend your time running away from them playing hide and seek which is essentially what this is, it's prophunt, and the prompt for messing with their backpacks pops up but you can't use it most the time, so they'll just keep firing into your rifts destorying them while you can't do a thing about it, you'll play for time at the end simply flying around and finding tiny little spots to hide in very easily that take the players forever to find a way up to or climb to and then it ends, games can be EXTREMELY short when people don't know what they are doing and when you do you'll just float around spamming click when you see ghostbusters waiting for the end timer to hit, honestly an absolutely hollow shallow game with the ghostbusters logo plastered onto it to convince people to buy it, no thank you, already returned it. Also with each rift that get's closed while you are a ghost you lose about 30% of your frames until you are quite literally stuttering around at the end, horrifically optomized and I'm running a 3060ti with a 5800x and playing on 1080p just to get a smoother experience there is just absolutely no excuse for, uninspired game with very little content that will leave you scratching your head wondering why you spent your own money on it. Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed may not be perfect, but as a Ghostbusters fan, I'm really enjoying it. If you're not a fan of the franchise, there are better multiplayer options out there, but for the Ghostbusters faithful, it's a blast.

Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed has potential, but game balance, a lack of content and some uninspired gameplay makes me want to come back to it after a few updates. Busting ain’t making me so feel good right now.

Ghostbusters has shown itself to be a solid game with asynchronous multiplayer, but it doesn't have enough content to keep players engaged. It's a shame that the creators didn't prepare at least a more extensive and engaging story.
