    I enjoyed Ghost Song overall, but that middle act slump did almost kill it dead for me, too, which is a shame, as underneath it all, this is a very accomplished Metroid-like for such a tiny dev team - and it will certainly fill that Hollow Knight shaped hole in your life while we wait for Silksong, especially if you're a Game Pass subscriber. There's still plenty to admire about what Old Moon have made here, but there are enough fluffed notes in the mix that it just stops short of being a harmonious whole.

The various characters you encounter feel very human and entice you to seek out more encounters across the map to understand more lore and subtle personal relationships. Music is also fantastic and art design is stellar! The world itself feels alive and at times the ground even feels like it's breathing itself. Solid 10-15 hour first play through and with a killer NG+ that I'm still struggling on beating.… Full Review »

Really fantastic game, beautiful sound design the hand drawn aesthetic, while not necessarily original at the point, is executed with great style. Only 3 hours in, but so far I am absolutely loving it, and if you are on the fence I would absolutely recommend for fans of the genre or even newcomers looking to experience something different than what they're primarily accustomed to.… Full Review »

All the characters were easy to connect to and made me want to find out more about the world and what happened to them.
    Also, the art style is stunning! Whoever put all the time and effort into every little detail must be one of the most talented people I've ever seen.
    AND THE MUSIC. I love to listen to it even when I'm not playing. Then I found out there's a lo-fi remix available?!? This has gotta be one of the best games I've ever experienced, if not the best metroidvanias.    … Full Review »
