    At the start of the game everything feels awesome, beautiful anime graphics, okay story and cross-play seemed like a dream come true, but after ~20 hours into the game all the negatives came hurling in.

    - World is empty, even though it feels and looks amazing at the start when you're doing chapter 1 and 2 of the main story, there are interesting characters, but after that you're gated    At the start of the game everything feels awesome, beautiful anime graphics, okay story and cross-play seemed like a dream come true, but after ~20 hours into the game all the negatives came hurling in.

    - World is empty, even though it feels and looks amazing at the start when you're doing chapter 1 and 2 of the main story, there are interesting characters, but after that you're gated with adventure level, keep doing dailies and wait for your level to go up.. Or go spend the money and buy yourself some resin so you can level up faster. There are few types of puzzles all over the map, after completing you will get a chest with useless weapons and currency.

    - Wishes, of as it is better know - gatcha system, greedy, totally killed experience of the game, Don't get me wrong, I played few gatcha games and they were fun and I willingly put some money into them, but this game just doesn't value your money. Chance for getting a 5* star character are lower that 1%... Are you serious? They are expecting 100$+ from each player. Oh, you're not paying, or you're not paying enough? - No good characters/weapons for you.
    Other gatcha games at least give you some "premium" currency so you can accumulate it and go for pulls. But this game gives you 5 currency for every achivement, and you will be saving up a week to do one 10-pull (which costs 1600). And you will get same ****, like you're opening common chests all over the map.

    - Combat system is okay, i like the element mechanic.

    All in all, pay-to-win, don't bother if you're not planning to throw some $$$ every few days. Biggest gaming let-down of 2020. Not coming back.    … Expand

    I'm not like the others and I'm not here to complain about anniversary rewards, but rather the actual game itself. I just list it down here...

    PROS -Great graphics, though some form of upscaling support (DLSS and FSR) would be appreciated. -Combat system is decent and has some depth to it. -The World itself is gorgeous, especially Liyue and Inazuma. -SOME characters are fairly well    I'm not like the others and I'm not here to complain about anniversary rewards, but rather the actual game itself.     PROS

    -Characters and enemies are well design (in terms of looks) and Azdaha is amazing.

    CONS
    -Bad plot, and I don't mean it only for the Inazuma chapters. The game plot was kinda bad right from the start actually. While the characters, setting and McGuffins are different, each nation main story has the same formula. You meet an archon and it residents, help them with their nation crisis, fight boss, turns out its the **** Fatui over and over again. Its the same formula as those kids Tv shows. You can predict the plot and 75% of the time you will be right.
    -RNG on top of another RNG. I usually enjoy farming in games, my favourite franchise is Monster Hunter and its loot (monster parts) had medium to heavy RNG. But Genshin RNG is **** dogsh1et. Don't even expect you get even a decent artifact for your characters. I've been grinding artifacts for Childe for MONTHS since his rerun, and never get anything useful out of it.
    -Interesting lore, ruined by writing 101 mistakes. I interested in raiden and wanted to learn more about her, but then Yae just casually dropped the bomb and TELLS almost everything that could make as an interesting scenario to discover Raiden Shogun as character and make raiden's quest a shopping mall trip lmao. "SHOW, DON'T TELL".
    -Beautiful graphics, horrible render distance and optimization. Its hard to appreciate the landscape when the rocks and trees suddenly changes and jiggles like crazy everytime and the game rendering the land only like 5 meters away in front of your face. The fact that genshin runs worse than an emulated BOTW with graphics mods and RTX enabled on my PC is baffling.
    -Everything about Ayaka's quest. Really MiHoYo? A **** date quest, in the middle of a civil war? If it was optional I could forgive it or at least AFTER the main plot of Inazuma, then do whatever you want with her.
    -Electro as an element. Electro characters are the most fun to play yet their potential is gatekept by weak electro reactions.

    Le doy un 0 porque es insostenible un juego donde la empresa a cargo no trata a los jugadores de la manera correspondiente, la comunidad de genshin hizo al juego junto a la empresa lo que son hoy en día.

    - mihoyo does not listen to player complaints
    - the hilichurl enemies (who are described to be dumb, and not understand human language) are designed based off of native americans (i shouldnt have to explain why this is racist)
    - mihoyo constantly whitewashes their own darkskinned characters
    - new limited 5* dont compare to old limited 5* in the slightest despite having the same pulling rate (0.6%)
    - story and writing gets more and more lazy and rushed as the story progresses
    - characters are shallow as **** being 99% design and 1% personality and charm

    tl:dr, if you want to play genshin, take your time with it to enjoy the first few hours to their fullest. its not worth speedrunning the game. but other than that, i wouldnt reccomend playing this game. its a waste of your time    … Expand

    Es muy buen juego, con buen diseño de personajes, buena banda sonora y lindos gráficos. Pero me jode no poder jugar entre varios servidores, estuve una hora con un amigo de España intentando para intentar jugar hasta que nos dimos cuenta que no se puede jugar entre otros servidores A NO SER que los dos elijan un servidor en específico pero OH SORPRESA CADA SERVIDOR TIENE SU PROPIOEs muy buen juego, con buen diseño de personajes, buena banda sonora y lindos gráficos. Pero me jode no poder jugar entre varios servidores, estuve una hora con un amigo de España intentando para intentar jugar hasta que nos dimos cuenta que no se puede jugar entre otros servidores A NO SER que los dos elijan un servidor en específico pero OH SORPRESA CADA SERVIDOR TIENE SU PROPIO PROGRESO, QUÉ ES ESTO MOHOYO POR FAVOR… Expand

    Blood, sweat and tears. All of those were poured into gaining 2000 priogems. To get what? Beido. TWo times. In a SINGLE 10 pull. Whats even worse.. is that I already had her. I even did 9 1 pulls. But got nothing, NOTHING good. I am in pure rage, **** tears, and sobbing. I comand an apology, for making me waste my priogems only to get the same character twice.

One thing annoying is the amount of unnecessary dialogues this game has that doesn't add anything to the stories or the event and it is just an annoying thing between you and 60 free primogens that 80% of the time is just worth it 1/3 of a wish that you get a literally useless 3* weapon.

    Many people complain about the gatcha system and I agree it sucks sometimes. I had my bad moments but also has lucky moments. I like this system simply because I am 100% F2P and honestly I have all characters that I need to beat any challenge in this game and if I managed to get this without paying 1 cent, at least for me, this system worked just fine so I don't have any reason to complain. I think people have to know, they can't have all characters in the game. They need 2 top-tier DPS and pull for good supports only.

    The combat system is cool, many people say they don't like the Spiral Abyss, I like it. I pretty much always get 36* on every abyss reset, not because 50 primogens are a great reward (they are trash) but because I like the challenge that only floor 12 (and sometimes floor 11) bring to the game. I always wanted more content like Spiral Abyss or new floors but Mihoyo never brought it. It is a shame, so I can only play Spiral Abyss every 2 weeks.

    The exploration of this game is one of my favorite parts. I like to solve puzzles and explore the world and the maps of this game is really beautiful. It is a shame that the content ends so fast.

    The graphics of this game are ok, the models of the characters are kinda bad, they lack models of musculus type of characters. Actually, they pretty much only have 3 models of characters, child characters, teen characters and adult characters. All are slim.    … Expand

When the Tu Hao Event Banner release wanted Tu Hao badly I rolled until the event ended couple of day before the event was gonna end I put in extra hours playing the game three times a day to grind Primogems to roll for Tu Hao even went as far as to Upgrade Statues of the Seven in Mondstadt to their max level since u get Primogems for that the goal here was to collect 10 Intertwined Fates these little orbs u use to get your characters with the awful wish system. So I collect 11 Intertwined Fates than rolled on Tu Hao banner had one day left may I remind u and ended up getting duplicates also keep in mind I rolled her banner when this event was released still haven't gotten her. This wasn't the first time where I grind for Primogems to get the Fates had previous bad past experience to the point I've gotten duplicates yet again, not gonna lie did had some good rolls here and there managed to get Jean, Quqi, Diona & Xiangling the characters I wanted, but getting the rest will be a pain and honestly I already given up since the wish system is so bad. Wouldn't mind grinding for some characters like instead of rolling for Barbara and Xiangling you can grind the game to get them, However for others you have to relie on the bad wishing system I know it's a f2p game but if your spending money on this game they should increase the luck or something because at the end of the day your paying out of you wallet which leaves me to my other problem. Don't put money onto this game it ain't worth it at all I was testing the waters spend $30 to get Genesis Crystals this was in June 2021 rolled 10 times gotten duplicates yet again felt like my money was wasted never gonna put money on this game ever again unless I know what I'm paying for. The only thing that's worth paying for in this f2p game is this $4.99 Blessing of the Welkin Moon you get 300 Genesis Crystals that can be converted to Primogems to do a wishing roll & you get 90 Primogems everyday you log in until 30 days this the only thing that's worth it in my opinion if your planning on putting money down on this game. Also you will bump into a issue where the game level up you World level where enemies levels will go up to but your characters will be under leveled to take them on than you gonna reach a point where your low on leveling up materials so advancing in the game will be very difficult if you don't get use to the battle system and knowing which element type is weak against to give u a better chance to beat this higher level enemies you gonna have to learn this if you get to this point in the game and not gonna lie it was a really bad experience for me had to put the game down. Also forgot to mention the company Mihoyo doesn't care about their consumers heard from my little sister Mihoyo said to celebrate the Anniversary of Genshin people will be awarded a 5 star character such as Mona, however people ended up getting Primogems in their inbox instead which made the fan base mad, also Mihoyo hasn't added a Flexible way for people who wasn't able to unlink their PS4 version of Genshin Impact and link it to PC to PS4 it's a pain to unlink a already made Genshin PS4 account to your already made PC account to it which has lots of stuff you unlocked on it you have to email them and their customer service is not that great either takes days to wait for a reply man might even take weeks. The company doesn't care about it's fan base and they don't deserve any of my money at all should of expect this would happen since I heard about how they handled the anniversary rewards.… Expand

There are also pretty credible allegations of false advertising with her release.

    That's what this game is. Intentionally designed so that you spend money, and purposefully crowded with bad, misleading and deceptive mechanics. Oh there's a problem after a release, oh it was a translation error. Every time.

    Primogems for starters cost a TREMENDOUS amount more money than they should. We're talking 1600 for a single 10 pull, of which you might acquire one, 4 star character. A 5 star will cost you 90 pulls. You won't even get that many pulls from spending 100$ on the game.

    The company behind it is NOTORIOUSLY stingy for a gacha company. Literally they will mess up a character with deceptive advertising or mistranslation, and apologize with not even enough currency for 1 pull, and their anniversary, typically a time when Gacha companies thank their players for spending an entire year with them, and seek to get new players?

    A single 10 pull. Yep that's right. A single 10 pull.

    The game also has a resin system. Playing normally you can finish the quests and all content to date in probably around 3 months. After that? Enjoy playing for about 15-30 minutes a day, if that. They do this because, surprise surprise, you can refill that with more PREMIUM CURRENCY.

    Oh what's that, everything in the game other than nominal amounts including xp, gold, artifacts, weapons, etc, is all tied to resin or the premium currency?

    Yes that's correct, you can't even properly level your characters without spending resin, or of course using the cash shop. Monsters will give you 19-20 xp each at the HIGHEST world level. The xp and mora off of monsters is so low I doubt most players even KNOW you can level up on the actual content instead of the items you can get from running leylines.

    The gacha rates are actually very bad too, and don't get me started on the weapon banner, which is a total scam.

    Not to mention they have routinely been locking 5 star characters that are already extremely expensive, behind massive constellation (multiple copies) paywalls. They will release a character with massive problems (see raiden) and oh well she can be okay, if you get constellation 2, only 100 more dollars if you are lucky. Unacceptable. It's okay for multiple copies to offer a bit of power, but when it comes down to releasing an incomplete, poorly designed broken character and locking a functional one behind a paywall? That should be actually illegal.

    It's honestly a masterclass in predatory game design.

    Artifact rng is also a MASSIVE problem in the game, and it's been proven time and time again that the rolls are actually rigged towards useless or mostly useless stats (flat def, def % hp and HP %) rather than the rolls you actually need, artificially lengthening the life of the game, oh and the resin you'll have to refresh if you want to actually yknow, get a good roll sometime this year. All with that aforementioned premium currency.

    If that wasn't enough, in an interview they literally said they don't pay attention to the west. Now I get China is their largest market (they are a chinese company after all), and Japan is pretty up there, but the west is sitting around 25% of their revenue too, and growing rapidly. The minute a company basically admits they don't care what a large portion of their customer base thinks? It's not a company worth doing business with.

    Honestly once a competitor arrives, Genshin is gonna get completely stomped. All of these problems are of course fixable, but the company does not care. Avoid this game.    … Expand

    What i don't like about this game is : Latency. Why they're putting "latency" on a single-player game like this? Look, if we're playing or talking about co-op mode, then it's pretty much reasonable that we should bear with the latency. But nope, even on single-player mode we even get this "latency" thingy, and this is annoying because ALL of your action are server-sided, means if you have high latency, means our movement is slower and sluggish. I've experience 100ms, 200ms, and 300ms+ gameplay, thanks to my ISP. You'll have no problem when you has less than 100ms latency obviously. It's getting somewhat annoying to play this game at 200-300ms+. Try it yourself, but if you don't feel any difference, then you're somewhat ignorant.

    Resin system is no good too, because the regeneration rate is way too slow (20 Hours/160 Resin). Not to mention we spend it all in less than 30mins daily. I know this is to prevent the players from progressing too fast (please don't call it resin-management 101), but hey that's bad idea because:
    1. Resin are NOT used for collecting materials alone (20/Run)
    2. Leyline EXP Card & Mora need resin (20/Run)
    3. Weekly Bosses also need resin (60/Run)
    4. How about artifact? (20/Run)

    Speaking of artifact, they should make weekly bosses to 100% drop random *5 artifact when you've reach at least AR45, otherwise i find it pretty useless for the players to raise their AR. Not to mention the prototype drop rate is pretty random too for a weekly event. For daily domain, it's pretty cool to get 100% drop of random *5 said artifact when you're at least AR45. If you can apply it for the daily domain, i don't think it's that hard to apply this for the weekly bosses, too.

    Another one is levelling your favorite character which consume A LOT of EXP Card and Mora. Let's say i want to raise my Fischl from Lv. 80 -> Lv. 90, which cost me around 700.000 Mora. Assuming i got 60.000 Mora / 20 Resin, this will need around 240 Resin.

    How about EXP Card (Hero's Wit) i need for leveeling my Fischl from Lv. 80 -> Lv. 90? I need at least roughly 170 Hero's Wit. Assuming i get 5 Hero's Wit / 20 Resin, this will need around 680 Resin, which is approximately 4 days for 1 character. Fun fact, the dmg increase is not even reach 5%.

    What irritates me the most is the Constellation System. Hey, i know the devs need to make money too, but what's the point of the game when we can't even play the characters to it's full potential? *5 Character has low drop rate, too. Instead of limiting characters full potential, why the devs won't CAP the damage of said characters? It'll be a win-win situation for both the players and devs. The F2P can enjoy the game to it's fullest (Even though has lower damage with F2P equipment as the consequences), while the whales can literally draw even more powerful premium equipment.

    Anyway, i've stopped playing this game this February because i feel it's like a boring chores.
    P.S : I don't have any problem/salt with the gacha itself because i play what i want for fun. Just dropping some honest opinion about this game, hoping it'll better in near future. Thanks for reading :)    … Expand

The anime-inspired visuals are inviting and colorful, and the fully voiced, nicely choreographed cutscenes give the game the feel of a premium product. It also gets you going with the gameplay very quickly; thanks to solid control design, you'll be running, swimming, climbing, dodging, gliding, fighting slimes, and slinging spells just a few minutes after the intro cutscenes wrap up. And once your first additional party member officially joins your posse, things start to get very interesting, as you'll start to learn the ins and outs of the elemental interactions that make Genshin Impact unique.

    And there's plenty to do here, too. Even though many areas of Teyvat haven't been made available to explore yet, there's still plenty to do and see. There are chests to find, teleportation spots to activate, all kinds of raw materials to accumulate, side quests to complete, and big baddies to try and slay. If you want to stop exploring and relax a little, you can try your hand at cooking food, forging weapons, and even conjuring up rare items through alchemy. If you're feeling particularly adventurous, you can even explore certain dungeons with others online using co-op play--and, thanks to cross-platform compatibility, it's easy to join up with others no matter what they're playing on. Setting up elemental combos with a team of players is very satisfying indeed.

    Each character in Genshin Impact has one of seven elemental properties tied to them, which greatly affects what they can do for combat and exploration. You can swap between four active characters with a tap of the D-pad, giving you the ability to strategically chain attacks to great effect.

    And the best thing about this game is its free to play on all platforms like PC, Android, iOS, PlayStations. I already put like 20+ hrs in the game now and I still want to play more.

    Overall, in spite of things that should bring Genshin Impact down, the game is so much fun to play that the negatives are ultimately minor gripes. [...] The gameplay is smooth and simplistic, and it works great on all platforms - though I’m still not sure why the PlayStation version can’t be linked to a Mihoyo account so I could play on my phone when I’m not at home (PS Vita version please??) but it’s a small gripe to an otherwise terrific game.
