Mar 4, 2016Gears of War: Ultimate Edition is just as enjoyable on PC as it was on Xbox One, though performance and customization issues get in the way of the improved graphical fidelity.
-
Mar 4, 2016Gears of War: Ultimate Edition is a solid videogame that runs on a not-so-solid game platform.
-
Mar 11, 2016When it’s hitting the highs you expect from a PC Port, Gears of War Ultimate Edition is simply the best way to experience Delta Squad’s first mission. But its unavoidable lows keep it from being an easy recommendation.
-
Mar 10, 2016Gears of War is fun as ever, but the technical flaws and limitations of Ultimate Edition are disappointing.
-
Mar 4, 2016If you are already an Xbox One owner, it would be nigh impossible to make the argument for buying the game on PC instead of on the console. Make no mistake: this is a buggier and less convenient way to consume something that was designed exclusively with the console in mind.
-
Mar 4, 2016Gears of War: UE is still a great game, but the PC version is far from what it should be. It fails when it comes to optimization, and Windows Store doesn't really help either.
-
PC PowerPlayMay 9, 2016A disappointing collection of technical issues mar an otherwise beautiful cover-based shooter that still kicks arse. [Issue#250, p.62]
-
Mar 15, 2016Gears of War returns with its never-ending action. It's technical problems make the game unbearable and unplayable. It's broken and disappointing.
-
Mar 1, 2016There’s still a plethora of content here to enjoy if you somehow are able to look past this crippling technical issue, but unfortunately it seems the transition to the open platform has failed to live up to certain expectations.
-
Mar 3, 2016It’s not that Gears of War Ultimate Edition for Windows 10 is a bad game; it’s just that everything good about it is what’s good about Gears of War for any other platform. It adds nothing that can tangibly enhance the experience, and with a litany of technical issues and ignorance of its own virtues, Windows 10 gaming has not put its best foot forward here.
