PC PowerPlaySep 8, 2011An unusual yet beautiful game bound to remind you of nature's power. [Oct 2011, p.50]
-
Sep 1, 2011Memorable, beautiful and unique, something that stays in your mind long after you've moved on to something else.

Pelit (Finland)Oct 19, 2011From Dust feels like a demo of Populous 4. Tutorial parts (with too much hand helding) ran too long, but couple of levels display the possibilities what From Dust could have been. Still worth the price, though. [Sept 2011]

Aug 25, 2011From Dust not only looks good and unique, but it plays notably enough to back up its artistic and technological value. A lovely crafted unclassifiable game with enough fun and personality that you'll want to help those little people and its settlements to the end.
-
Sep 12, 2011The game is still jolly good fun.

Aug 31, 2011Overall, From Dust is very vibrant and interesting game and concept, with many compelling aspects to the gameplay. The visuals are stunning, the gameplay is simple and it can easily be played for an hour or five. However, it can become very tedious and frustrating in later levels. And because of the great simplicity of the game itself, frustrated players can find themselves losing interest in the game itself. It's a compelling game for puzzle lovers, but I would suggest caution for others who find themselves getting easily frustrated by having to juggle multiple aspects at once.
-
Aug 22, 2011It's a beautiful, poetic game that inspires creativity, despite its technical struggles.
-
Aug 31, 2011Even if it's short and single-player only, From Dust has at least one statement to make: that there are still special ideas around. Not necessarily perfect, due to the control and pathfinding issues that will annoy the not so patient players, but with a huge potential to evolve in totally new directions.
-
Sep 15, 2011From Dusk is a very interesting title to play, but could have been a great game if the controls and difficulty were more polished.
-
Aug 19, 2011From Dust provides a rich world full of engaging challenges, though there are some frustrations even a god must suffer.
-
Aug 16, 2011Quite an usual game. Changing landscapes may sound dull, but it's amanzingly motivating due to the great physics. It's a shame that the presentation is quite dry and the game may be too difficult for beginners.
-
Aug 19, 2011A gorgeous and rich land-sculpting simulation that's lovely to tinker with, but often buggy and stressful to play.
-
Aug 19, 2011From Dust is an exceptional game with outstanding art design and gameplay mechanics. Unfortunatly the PC port is not that good on the technical side and you can't play it offline. If you want to play that game, which I would recommend that you do, stick to the console version.
-
Aug 19, 2011As such, like I said at the beginning, it's a game I want to like, and, on any other platform except PC, you can quite happily add a couple of points to the overall score. But, on PC at least, Dust doesn't quite push the right buttons for me to consider it the amazing game it could have been.

LEVEL (Czech Republic)Oct 30, 2011To truly enjoy playing God you have to beat a few obstacles – technical issues, arguable DRM and user-unfriendly controls. Console-to-PC conversion took its price this time. [Oct 2011]
