    This game is a good example of why it's hard to use reviews for video games. It gets 4/10 on Metacritic but it's one of the most popular game, somewhere in the top 10, if not top 5. So clearly something does not make sense. Why would people play if it was so bad ? Personally, I think the game is not perfect but it's great, especially with the Creative mode, which are basically games withinThis game is a good example of why it's hard to use reviews for video games.     Greatest competitive multiplayer game for last 10 years, active, arcady, fun, have lots of mechanics, graphics are dated, but clear.
    Did not expect.
    Btw, PvE is also a great, it's better than last releases like Destiny 2, so if you are interested in PvE game with PvP gamemode, than Fortnite is very good choice.     Great game, getting better and better with the levels. The start is abit slow with tutorials but it picks up quickly, and by the time you are in the 2nd town - things are getting more and more interesting for every mission. There are some micro transactions , but they aren't needed - and for people complaining about llamas being the only way to get loot: You can transmute recipes, get epicGreat game, getting better and better with the levels.     How the **** is metacritic allowed to make reviews on a early access game? The game will be f2p in the future, and it's a fantastic game, so much contenct and its so much fun to play. Game of the year

    I've been playing games since the mid 80s on my Commodore 64 and I have to say this is one of the better games released alltime. It's different than just about anything else on the market and the Developers are Top Notch. They release more content in a month than almost any other within a years time.     Having a blast. I love base building games. I must say its a bit repetetive but dont forget that it is an free to play title. Not for everyone. UnnamendCowboy said: " that there is no party matchmaking. There is!
    U can play alone or with friends or with random People.

    If u love grind games u cna buy it for 40 euros. But if u dont like paying just wait a year...

    GOTY right here simple as that, Early acces title allready feels and has enought content to be a full release game, gamplayis fun, gfx are nice, story is funny and guess what it's going f2p in the future.

    the downsides, a little grindy at first, ui and all the different that revolve arround your character, defenders, survivors for stats, base lvl ect aren't very intuitive to understand    GOTY right here simple as that, Early acces title allready feels and has enought content to be a full release game, gamplayis fun, gfx are nice, story is funny and guess what it's going f2p in the future.

    A very promising game, its all about shooting and building with a very intuitive mechanics, easy to learn and easy to play, not much loading screens or waiting rooms, its a fast PUBG but Free-to-play, this is not not a pay-to-win game, its all about skill.

    I'm really loving this game, and I'm a little confused by the negative reactions here. Don't be fooled by the claims that this game was diluted or ruined by f2p mechanics - the various ways to make yourself more powerful are a layer on top of the action/ building gameplay, not to its detriment. The gameplay, both combat, building and just exploring, feels great, and when it does start toI'm really loving this game, and I'm a little confused by the negative reactions here. The basic ways to improve your character, skill points and xp, are given out to you by playing the game, (and research points are given out over time, even while not playing, one thing I really enjoy in the game is going to work and knowing that research points and heroes I sent out on resource gathering expeditions will be waiting for me when I get back :D) not just from loot llamas. However, when people says its grindy, that is completely fair, there is grinding involved, and I am rating this 10 because I'm a big fan of diablo style games and grinding is something I'm fine with, so what I would say to anyone on the fence about this game, do what I did before buying - watch some let's plays, I watched several before buying and that gave me a perfect idea of what the gameplay is like and that it would be my sort of thing. I really think this is the best way with this game in particular to judge whether you'll like it too.… Expand

    Great combination of building base and zombie defense game. I only wish completion time of each game can be shorted, some of the games lasting 40-50 minutes are too much.

    This game is amazing with so many things to explore and create. You can grab your friends and battle to the death in battle royale, or you could build a base and work together to build a kingdom and protect it using dangerous traps and guns. There are endless possibility’s in this game and I love it.

    I don't know where all the hate is coming from. It's the adrenaline pumping action of PUBG (also FREE) with the addition of building. The solo version is fun and allows for a variety of experiences and packed with action. There is different ways to play (solo, team, survival, etc.) and though there is microtransactions, you in no way need to buy them in order to play/win. Just give it a try!

No money. There are absolutely no lootboxes. Epic games is a very benevolent developer that truly cares about the games they make unlike EA, and Fortnite is still Early Access so they are fixing it up to prepare for its full release once it is complete with their updates. Until then, this early access allows players to test weapons and gameplay, allowing Epic to fix their updates accordingly, which take barely a week to finish, unlike the 6 months taken by EA to fix up their problems. Fortnite gets many points for being fun and amazing at Early Access, and having its amazing developers working on it every day.… Expand

    It is a great game, I have had it for about 2 weeks and ave already sunk 50+ hours into it. It is a relay fun game and wile the loot system needs work i think the overall experience overshadows the loot box system. My only problem is there is no cross play from PC to Xbox.

Fortnite not only changed the BR game type for the better, but expanded it into an entire independent genre of it's own. How many games can you say update daily, weekly, or even monthly like this game seems to. With an ever changingWho doesn't love to give a bad rating to a hype-crazed game?     just the greatest battle royale of all time. i do believe hte game gets a lot of hate because of its developper and its store but i feel in terms of gameplay and fun, my first phrase represents it very well

    Fortnite is an ever-shifting entity, but strong footing has solidified it as a verified phenomenon with fast, fun gameplay and ubiquitous reach. Anyone can play it and have a great time, and although Save the World might get grindy and shotgun climb-and-dives might get a little tiresome, there’s real magic here along with the promise of more in the months and years to come.
