    It's really annoying trying to play this on Pc than Ps4 and the Switch because there's like 30 keys and have to use like 20. Really hard to hit the buttons from one side to the other and I don't want to spend like 20 minutes in the settings.

    I used to play this game a lot but now I don't even wanna open it, They added lots of horrıble (my opinion) cosmetıcs, guns, map locations... Nowadays I only play it for Save The World and Creatıve mode but it does not stop me from getting bored. Let me start from Save The World. If you wanna improve your character you got to do same things a thousand times so it oftenly becamesI used to play this game a lot but now I don't even wanna open it, They added lots of horrıble (my opinion) cosmetıcs, guns, map locations...     Im still surprised that this game managed to become so popular back in 2017-2018. Its honestly a game that is going to bored you very quick and even infuriated you with its toxic community.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This is a review for the Save the World mode of Fortnite, because in my opinion it is very hard to actually rate battle royale, due to its ever changing seasons and constant high and low points.

    I want to first start off with the things I liked about this game. The characters were great and well written, the intro cutscene was great at setting the scene, and the overall gameplay loop is pretty fun starting out, and the story is in my opinion very good. That's about all I have to say that is positive about this game. So after that opening cutscene, you are thrown into the first mission of the game, and I instantly noticed something. This game is so unnecessarily LOOOOOONNNGG. There are 3 main story zones in this game, the first zone, Stonewood, each story mission is about 20 minutes long, in the second zone that goes up to around 30 minutes per mission, and in the final zone it goes to around 45. At its core this game is just a zombie Co-Op tower defense, and there is no reason for the missions to be as long as they are. My second main complaint is that if you lose at any point in the game, you get absolutely NOTHING. So say you are playing the game's main tower defense mode, survive 5 of the 6 needed hordes of zombies, and complete a quest where you need to kill 300 zombies with just a shotgun, using tons of in-game resources and spending around 30 minutes on it. If you lose, even at the very end, you get literally zero items and maybe a miniscule amount of exp, and all quests you completed entirely reset, meaning you have to do it all over again. This will happen to you at least a few times, and it is SO demotivating to do over again. My third complaint is how needlessly long the entire game is. In total, there are about 135 mandatory story missions, which took me over 100 hours to "finish", but could definitely be beaten a bit quicker if you have some friends to play co-op with. What makes this even worse is that most of the maps are reused, and there are only a few mission types you are doing over and over that entire time. Speaking of that length, the story and characters are at least interesting. You have a few robot companions who I really liked, as well as a few human characters that leave to do other things throughout the campaign. As for the story itself, an acid storm has taken over the world, turning over 80% of people into different types of zombies called "husks” that try to take down your defenses and ultimately make the storm fully engulf the world. Later on, you learn about a scientist/inventor named Dr. Vinderman who made the previously mentioned robots, and all the storm defenses you came across. Towards the end of the campaign, you discover his house and an AI he recorded some voice lines to. It talks about A possible way to implode the storm from the eye, but it would require someone to go down with it to make sure it goes okay. In one of the final missions of the 100 hour campaign, you fight a boss that resides in the eye of the storm called the Storm King, in what was honestly a very fun fight. After you defeat him, a human character that worked with Dr Vinderman named Desiree sacrifices herself in what was honestly a pretty emotional moment for me. It is then revealed on the second to final mission THAT IT WAS ALL FOR NOTHING, AND THAT IT DIDN'T DO ANYTHING ACTUALLY. The Vinderman Ai then slowly starts to lose power, leaving only your main sidekick robot, Ray. She then looks up and sees a satellite that can save everything for real or something (I honestly stopped paying attention after that **** sacrifice conclusion) And then it ends. You get a cutscene that had no audio for me that was just compiled trailer footage, and you get a lobby music track. That's it. That's all you get for completing this entire game. No conclusive ending, no achievement or special banner, just lobby music that you can just look up on youtube. Shortly after making this "ending" Epic Games announced that they would no longer make updates for save the world. What a **** joke. I bought this game after the update that released the final campaign mission in 2019 for around $40, but nowadays they're just bundling it in for free with certain Battle Royale skins. I wanted to love this game and thought I would, but ended up beyond disappointed. All this game is ever used for now is just grinding the currency known as V-bucks which you can use to buy skins in battle royale. This game is a joke, and you should not play it, even if you get it for free. It's a total waste of time with no definitive conclusion, and ended up being one of if not my least favorite game of all time. **** this game. Do not play it.    … Expand

    One of the best games made in the past 20 years. Criminally underrated game. It has fantastic gameplay, high skill celing, highest development pace of any ongoing game ever, zero(!) P2W, and it is free to play. Instead there is this mob of people hating on it because it became popular. Most people who actually tried it properly actually liked it in my experience.

    Fortnite is a good old school shooter( the feel and dynamics of the guns is less modern) it also has a fresh minecraftey build mode which can take some skill and time to master. To dismiss it as a child's game is beyond missing the point - its a good 3ps in it's own right with some nice extra dynamics – but please dont judge it as a good game - there are some other aspects that cannotFortnite is a good old school shooter( the feel and dynamics of the guns is less modern) it also has a fresh minecraftey build mode which can take some skill and time to master. It could be a 7/10 easily – maybe 8 - , but it has numerous nuances...

    Why is this then? :

    On one side, Fortnite is easy to play at -least initially (as an 3ps is)-and is worth while and fun with tense gun play/combat. The map is good and content comes in droves. On the other side, it will take time to master, especially in regard to building in combat. Combat is tense and fast paced - it's good and I think it's reasonably balanced MOST OF THE TIME.

    However, I don't believe some of the guns ARE balanced particularly well – unfortunately this applies to all the new gear...

    It does have it's own look, but some of the standard 'free-to-play' skins are UGLY. The general look of it is good, but you can tell it is getting old.

    On the other hand, I don't like alot of the design of the game, especially the UI design, as well as the feel of the controls - often they jitter into other commands and behaviours and it is very sloppy or it just plain obstructs the player.

    The word for much of the game quality is SLOPPY . It does works OK as a game though - mostly. I find this is inexcusable given this is a popular game developed by a company that is one of the god-fathers to the genre of FPS - though I don't think they can't afford it and are not capable... there are other reasons - learn who they are...

    For a start consider this : I also don't like that it forces you to see tonnes of rubbish that some people have paid for, and EPIC - W O N T - give you access to most of it unless you are on battle pass i.e. giving money PER season - YET they make you watch how many 'Battlestars' you've collected at the end of each match (which is ONLY spendable WITH Battlepass) - which is effectively a slap in the face. So as far as I am concerned, if you are playing this 'free to play' game without giving them money, then they are going to punish you.

    Bare this in mind when you can't change your own skin, it will choose one for you(when not on battlepass) and some of those standard skins are ugly.

    The missions thing generally means you need to spend alot of effort to go to places, which often is contrary to: A, survival and B, what your team mates will want.

    So I would conclude you need to play the game to complete missions seperately rather than to competing at the same time - which is just a gotcha to most of us who already have other commitments. However Missions are an avenue to get skins and cosmetics incase you cant buy battlepass ( and have time to spend and kill).    … Expand

    For the following: the game contains eccentric skynes, in the game you will find an awful lot of eccentric skynes, which in my opinion is appalling (how can something like this be in a game from the age of 12) I definitely do not recommend the game to anyone. also what bothers us is the youtube community of the game, also the game it is extremely focused on transactions, the need to spend a lot of time in the game (for cosmetic accessories), communication through the game, as well as promoting political or other views on the game. (plus any collaborations that come with a lot of other transactions) I've been playing the game since season 3, but every season I think the game is getting worse. in my opinion, it needs to be updated as the game has changed drastically. I recorded 20 days = 480 hours in the game (approximately, maybe a little more), and that is nothing compared to some who will spend significantly more time in the game than I have in several years. I haven't played the game in several years and I'm not going to go back to it.

    Prior to the establishment of buildless-mode, the game was a mish-mash or noobs, mid and hardcore players, with running into a hardcore player always resulting in death. That being said, if you've the friends to play it mindlessly on the background while chatting, its actually a fairly-decent third person shooter battle royale.

    not too bad right now but the quality is all over the place depending on the season/chapter, but not gonna lie the game has basically just turned into a giant crossover game which can really give people mixed feelings on the thing, personally I used to hate it but I don't mind it now, It's fun and usually the characters they add would canonically use guns.

    This game is such a fun and unique game in the battle royale genre. It has so many cool and fun to use weapons and a bunch of ways to eliminate enemys. Alot of Cars and trucks to use and other ways to get around, the game is simple yet very fun with a lot of weapons at your disposal your objective is to survive and fight until its a 1v1 between you and another person! Amazing game!

    I very much enjoy the gameplay in this game. I have spent a little bit of money to get a skin that I like and don't feel the need to spend any more than that. All money to spend in this game is for visual elements, no pay to win.

    This is probably my favorite game to play with a friend or two.

    Used to have so much fun on this game especially on switch but they ruined it a few seasons ago when updating the graphics it just made so much more sense to have the graphics looking slightly older and not to the point where it would load you in when you are already off the bus.

    Almost EVERY SINGLE CHARACTER is from a super-hero-movie company like Marvel.
    Considered one of the most overrated games ever.
    Very janky vehicle physics(this could technically be a pro depending on your perspective).
    And, of course. Loot boxes. Goddamn loot boxes.

    If there weren’t custom games being made by the community, this would’ve been significantly bumped down to a 3, or a 2. But, A for effort, I guess.

    Some people doesn't like this game because they think about what Fortnite represent, but to be honest Epic works pretty hard on this game, actually i don't know another game that has so many collaborations like Fortnite. This game changes the game industry

    I would love to give this game a 10 due to the great memories I had playing this game, especially during the first chapter and when they added the webslingers. However, the game changed too fast for it's own good and it's community became unbearable. Still great to hop back in from time to time, its undeniable that Fortnite seasons 2-5 was peak gaming.

    Chapter 4 is pretty good, but I feel like it's missing the charm it used to have. The new graphics are a mix of CH1 and CH2, which I actually sort of like. I do think that the GUI could be better and less populated with other gamemodes. I wish they would bring back some locations though, that would be awesome.

    Generally the best Battle Royale game ever. Very acessible, fun and really nice Battle Pass progression, with much more varied missions than in other games. Also, creative mode is nice

    The rating is definitely higher than before due to the addition of a no-building mode. Epic knows how to make skins and dances for your production, which makes it hard not to buy them, but then you get into the game and ask yourself why you did it.

    Personalmente uno de los mejores batlle royal de la historia muy divertido y a todos nos a hecho pasar momentos inolvidables con tus amigos pero si que es verdad que con el tiempo ha ido apareciendo una comunidad muy toxica y al final el juego se hace muy repetitivo.     It feels like it wanted to do everything and failed as a result. It wanted to be a tower defense, it wanted to be a survival game, it wanted to be an Online RPG, it wanted to be a micromanagement simulator. And with all of these things, there are just better options.
    Honestly, I don't blame Epic for focusing almost entirely on Battle    I give Fortnite: Save the World a Feature Creep/10

    Fortnite is an ever-shifting entity, but strong footing has solidified it as a verified phenomenon with fast, fun gameplay and ubiquitous reach. Anyone can play it and have a great time, and although Save the World might get grindy and shotgun climb-and-dives might get a little tiresome, there’s real magic here along with the promise of more in the months and years to come.
