    The game is great if you have $1000 handy to spend on buying all your gear but you will need luck as well. I quit after a week and spent $300. Just not worth it.

    Paywalls, paywalls everywhere! Until they decide to give up on milking players wallets, avoid like the plague. It's just not worth it. It's a good game that's fallen victim to greed.

    This genre of game is a rip off of Minecraft Hunger Games and will have a short lifespan. The type of game it's is just not fun. It's a 3rd person shooter with very basic mechanics. It's incredibly boring.

    Greed kills the fun of this game. If the devs can pull their heads out into fresh air then maybe I'll come back, but they've already hurt their playerbase enough to kill any game

    Not worth the cost for early access. All the F2P pay walls are there, so you can only enjoy about the first 10 hours of the game before it becomes a frustrating grind that isn't worth the effort. Wait until it's truly F2P and then try it.

    What got me into this game is the Base building, husk's and "loot" . The trailer with all the loot on ground got me pumped up after buying and playing the game it's complete opposite. for me no loot drop in game play it's just only lama pack's(loot box).

    * There are constant crashes and bugs with the game right now. Constant as in 4-5 in a 2 hour period your game will crash does not matter if it is PC,PS4 or Xbox.

    *There are different editions of the game and the prices are $40,$60,$90,$150 after the $150 a choice of spending and additional $100 for the ultimate upgrade.

    * There were and are and will be resets of maps and other things in the game due to development. So be prepared to rage.

    * There was cross play between consoles and PC. But apparently that was a "bug" and the devs then removed the ability for players to cross play.

    *It has a cash shop

    *Grinding is the key part of the game other key part being the cash shop

    I have played many f2p games over the years. But those games did not try to hide what they were. They knew what type of pay model and gaming model they were. Fornite on the other hand is pure greed. The game itself is focused on the cash shop in order to get better gear and heroes. You cannot get better gear or heroes unless you spend money in the cash shop on loot boxes. You might be asking, do they at least drop good gear in game at a lower rate. No they don't drop better gear. The loot boxes them selves are horribly unbalanced in terms of getting legendary's. Take it from a guy who spent hundreds of dollars on the game and only got one legendary gun. One just one.

    The game play itself is fun, in between the bugs and crashes. But after a while you start to understand the game is about pure grinding. Everything in the game needs to be grinded for. Guns,heroes, survivors traps and resources. The items needed to upgrade and move up are a bit rare and makes the grind even worse. You will rinse and repeat doing the same thing. Gather resources build your fort and defend against waves of zombies. The zombies rarely ever change in terms of looks of design even at higher levels.

    I cannot recommend this game. It is pure cash grab. All they want is money. They have the nerve to want people to pay for an unfinished game still being developed. Still having resets. But the cash shop is in full working order and takes all kinds of payment methods. For over priced loot boxes that give you 95% commons and uncommons no matter how much you spend. If you cannot spend money in the cash shop. Then good luck at higher lvls with your weak weapons and traps to defend your fort. You will be tickling the zombies and running out of ammo fighting those bullet sponges.

    First off I purchased the top founders edition with the hopes that the devs actually wanted to live up to their promise of helping them "mold the game early with your feedback." That sounded dandy, game was fun for the first 30 hours until you got into the guy of the game. The main issue is they do not reward enough V bucks or Llamas. Epic and FortNite has received endless negative feedback for this lottery model and many went in with hopes this would be only a temporary model or tweaked drastically with founders feedback. It was all great until Tim Sweeney basically outright said "this is the way we wanted the game, we will not change it and if you don't like it, leave."

    Pros - Tight shooting mechanics
    Mostly open ended base building
    Decent difficulty progression
    Varied classes that need tweaked

    Cons- Unfinished zones if game is rushed
    Lottery loot llama is terrible
    Very grindy
    Devs preached openness but refuse to change a universally hated Llama/progression system

    Take it from me, spent too much money on empty promises and not severely regret it after Tim Sweeneys comments on the not changing certain aspects.    … Expand

If something goes wrong, their response is generally this is early access, so deal with it. On top of that the game is build on a pay to win base. There is no alternative way to obtain gear.     Doesn't work for older GPU systems. Yes, it would be slower/worse graphics for those people but who cares? People just want to play, don't ban them completely...who wants to pay thousand of dollars for a new computer just to be able to play?

IT REMOVES SKILL from the game because more often then not someone will kill you simply because they have a gun thats far superior damage even tho its exactly the same gun type. Darwin Project just hit free open beta weekend and already blows this game out of the water in every aspect. This game would have a lot going for it if they just took the time to refine it. Removing the Weapon Tier system and make a better reason to build **** other then just gaining a height advantage for sniping or to just get to a loot crate would make this game on its own vastly superior to what it is now.… Expand

I literally just played a game and this guy had no shield he ran at me jumped over me with a tactical and literally didn't turn around and missed the shot in air, then he ended up killing me right before he even reached the ground, note: this was a regular jump. nothing boosting him, really **** game, needs a betterWorst game i have ever played.     Had to update from a 3 to a 0, the developers are ruining the game, each update makes the game worse, they just nerfed the shotguns, if you're a new player don't bother, building is abused and you'll get completely ignored if you have a default skin on, money grab simulator but not made by EA.

    Primarily, I would say the concept of winning in this game is very vague, only one player gets to win and what the rest is going to do.     i don't understand battegrounds popularity, but atleast when I was playing PUBG or Apex I have some fun. The reason of such low score from me are two. Without spending real money inside of game progressing is so slow and annoying that is totaly kill pleasure and the community is worse than Cs:go, LoL and dota together.

    This "game" is horrible. cant login to my account every time when i entering password it starts to shows errors, and i every time entered correct password.Another problem is awful physics:the rifle and gun doesnt strikes any damage , when the worst shotgun kills a person in three or four hits.
    I dont reccomend to anybody to play this mediocre piece of sh*t.

    Since Chapter 2 it was good and everyone enjoyed it again and what did Epic do? Screwed it up again - Half way through the first season of it.
    They should've just made Fortnite as a Save The World campaign and not a Battle Royale. Because all you get from Battle Royale, it's more of a bloody LAG AND PING Royale. It doesn't matter how beefy or strong your    Garbage. Absolute garbage.

The main issue of it is that they keep trying to make their game stand out by adding promotions into their game like Avengers and Star Wars, it's pathetic. They add Lightsabers and First Order weapons and make them overpowered and for what? Just to give toxic kids an advantage? I don't even know why Lucasfilm is allowing for these greedy pillocks to do this.
    To me, Epic Games just don't know how to work their own game, my message is to them is that if they can't keep it stable and working, shut it down. It'd be a wise choice.
    So altogether, if you consider downloading and playing this crap of a game, go for it. I mean it's not illegal to play it but I'd consider saving your money and dignity from these type of stupid games. But I'm gonna tell you, all you're gonna get from this game is:
    Lag, Broken Aim, Broken Weapons, Ridiculous Gameplay - Oh, and a toxic community.
    I'm disappointed actually, it's just that Epic gets a billion dollar budget but yet don't use it to satisfy anyone's needs and support. They just flip you off and take your money. I'm not gonna lie, that game had potential and I mean it, but it's unfortunate that it had no choice but to be dragged down by the company itself and the toxic kids who play it.     This game is so overrated that its insane. 95% of people on there are kids, the game-play gets repetitive, you have to pay for 99% of stuff and its just mediocre. I would have given it a 4-5 if it wasn't so praised. The only time you can have even a little bit of fun with this game is if you play it with friends.

    un jeu qui a un fort potentiel le jeu n'est pas mauvais en soit mais si je note si mal c'est à cause de la communauté plus que toxique sur ce jeu repaire à kikoo où encore à gamers se la jouent pro. de plus certains joueurs arnaque d'autre joueurs ( comme tout les jeux en ligne me direz vous) mais la y'en a quand même plus que d'habitude

You can only obtain skins and cosmetics by paying money, the fanbase absolutely ruined the game by being as obsessive as all hell, and the gameplay mostly consists of walking around and around to find other players. I would NOT reccomend this game to anyone unless they like crap games. And also, the people atThis game is absolute trash. The game sounds good, but ends up not delivering. Possibly the worst BR game but I've only played a few so I can't really say. I am sure it is bottom tier though. Had to give it a 2 though because it has some fan-made game modes (e.g death run) that doesn't require the badToo much unnecessary stuff to make the game "creative".     Firstly, the gameplay, it isn't so good. it plays a lot like a player vs player shooter like a cartoony Counter Strike with huge problems. Like shotgun is to accurate and powerful. The other guns in the game are meh damage and even worse in accuracy. So most of the players in the game run around with shotgun. Then you have the insta-build towers or staircases. Imagine jumping up into the air, looking down, and instantly building your own wooden platform or staircase in real life. Kind of an alien notion there. But that is this game. Also imagine that your particle board wall somehow stops you from injury from grenades, missile launchers and bullets lol ok.

    Now you might be thinking oh well it is called Fortnite, so I imagine players buildings forts in it. You would be wrong because they are just stairs and particle board walls. Tree house like designs with no roofs lol. There is no battlements like a real castle or tower. There are no Castle parapet. No tooth like structure made of 12 inches thick stone. Nope, just some wooden crooked battle stairs that defies gravity (and has not foundation). However, it seems to protect you like a real fort would. If only you could get past the notion that it gets instantly built in nano-seconds.

    The opponent instantly builds these crooked stairs, with 999 wood (he can build ad nauseum). You are stuck with an ammo of 120 pieces for your Assault Rifle and realise you can't take it down quick enough. Sometimes you will knock down a wall and it will insta rebuild itself, and you knock it out again to get the person underneath it, and it insta rebuild itself again and again and again... Then
    you stop shooting because it is useless and you are wasting precious ammo. Then something drops out from the skies, oh look is it a bird a plane? Nope it is the insta stair builder drops down on you with a shotgun. Lol this is so Stupid it is kinda funny (as In why the hell I ever played this game).

    Secondly, the Store, I want to purchase something cool. Why do I see Iron Man, Thor, Wolverine and Aquaman skinned players in the game, but no where does it offer me a chance to buy them? Clearly, MCU & DC superheroes and famous movies skins are some of their best selling 'skins,' and they were available before, but cluelessly they decided not to place them permanently on a shelf to be purchased (think of the millions they lost on that decision). Just imagine instead of selling Hotdog guy (The Brat), they could have had a Marvel or DC character I was interested in buying. They do have Joker and Flash right now, but not interested. Give me Aquaman or Ironman, but will settle for Thor, Wolverine or a Terminator!

    Also, I notice that so few of those Marvel characters are still in the game. I see 1 every 20 matches or so. They sold them to players before, they must have bought thousands of them, and then these players up and disappeared since 6 months ago when they sold the marvel skins? Hmmmmm, must be something seriously wrong with the game.

    Thirdly, another problem they update to many times and you will find yourself on a weekly basis dealing with downloads that didn't make the cut, forcing you to restart your computer, verify the install, download it again, and THEN restarting again, only to finally get it to work. Somehow end task doesn't work. What a pain in the ass. Maybe less updates? Maybe once every 3 months instead of weekly would be a better fit. 2-3 hours of frustration getting the game to play on a weekly basis is like fighting your wife 2-3 hours a week to get food on the table after a hard days work. The relationship is on its last leg, if you know what I mean.

    Not worth spending money over. After a few weeks of being dropped on by intabuilder-staircase-shotgunners, you will have had a lifetime of remembrance of it and can safely move on to the next game after a shower to wipe away the stink of it.

    My recommendations would be that if you can carry 999 pieces of wood, stone and metal to build forts, that you make it that you can carry more than 6 grenades or 13 missiles for the missile launcher. Also, missile launchers, grenade launchers and fireflies should be in great abundance, and do more damage, to deal with the lol goofy looking forts. Add trebuchets and catapults? LOL total identity crisis for this game.    … Expand

    A terrible game through construction, build like mad. Before that, I played on the Nintendo switch, not knowing how to build, I won every 20%, but on a PC, it is generally impossible to play not arrows, but builders, minecrafters, if you want to spend your nerves, go ahead.

    I got more then 100 hours in the game, so I can kinda build up an opinion.

    Yes, fortnite is fun. And yes the idea behind it is even better. But when not playing it with friends or something it really falls off fast. Mainly to the lack of variety. It's fun in the beginning but after a while it just is the same thing over and over again.     And yes, the latest update gives new stuff. But the gamemode is just the same as everything before, Just 4hours instead of 15. And the rewards are really not better than the short ones.

    Maybe if this game gets a lot of new content, or the Llamas are easier to obtain the game might become more enjoyable. But for now it's just grinding till die or buy Llamas and try your luck.

    Maybe if I didn't play those 100 hours solo, I might have had a different vision. But it's good to see it from this side too imo.

    The rating of 2 just represents is the amount of hope I got left for this game    … Expand

    This game sucks. Put voice chat in it or it will fail.

    Do not under estimate the importance of voice chat. Talking is the most important form of communication we have as humans and being able to do so in a multiplayer video game improves the experience exponentially.

    Heed this warning, if voice chat is not implemented; this game will fail completely. Just like Paragon did.

    Wait until it releases as a f2p and even then play for a few weeks before opening your wallet, odds are you'll lose interest within a month. A mission consists of 20 minutes spent beating on trees and cars before you can even hope to enjoy 7 minutes of actual game play... rinse and repeat because that's all you're going to do.

    Fortnite is an excellent example of the fact that the developer does not play his own game. For example, where is the surround sound, Lebowski? Where skillful shooting, not a random shooting gallery? Any minuses of the game developers will write off to "Early Access". Instead of some balance adjustments, they will add new costumes, the battle pass.

    I have been keeping an eye on this game ever since the first trailer came out. I am deeply disappointed by the freemium model that is heavily incentivizing paying. I am always the first one of our friend group to try a new game, and I'm the one that recommends a fun game to everyone he plays with. Consumables, cosmetics etc. Right now its a "buy to pay more" model, going straight for the "freemium pay or grind like a loser and make your life worthless" model. Time is a precious commodity, and this games is attempting to GRAB your time OR cash as hard as it can. Look at guild wars, overwatch, or cs:go even! Those are a few of many models that are perfectly fine, and we all enjoy them. This is way too intrusive. The community screams, most youtube videos say that, but instead of changing it to something fair, they just tweak it.

It's ungodly grindy, that also is based on RNG and main progression is in 90% locked behind pay2play. All the "goods", ALL of them are locked behind llamas. And those you get 1 per 2 days. Obviously you can buy them for $$$.

Erratic movement and jumping and the sub-par animations. I have over 100 fps in the game and still everything works clunky and laggy. You can imagine my relief that I was spared from this horrible plague that affected my entire family. But I guess that was all for nothing, as this game gave me cancer anyways.(yes this is a jokeI grew up in a family afraid of disease. Sound design is average, bullet sounds from both receiving and delivering sound fine, but some of the creative choices with the sound leave a lot to be desired.

    Gameplay? Is a chore! As stated before the map is open and empty with the occasional city with copy and pasted buildings with one or two unique variants, exposing how quickly the battle royale mode was tacked on due to the huge success of PUBG. Did you even know that this game was supposed to be a zombie survival game? I bet a lot of you didn't even though it's on the box art. Fortnite was hyped up as a co-op zombie survival game, but Metal Gear Survive was announced and the marketing as well as the game flopped. Knowing this Epic decided to hide that game mode and advertise itself as a PUBG clone. Yeah no thanks.

    I was waiting for so long to finally play the Fortnite Rescue The World mode. It was promised that it will be for free at the end of 2018 but it looks like they have lied. The biggest problem is the micro transaction in this game. Even when you BUY the Fortnite Rescue The World mode pack, you still will be bombed with micro transactions and that's an absolute no go. The best loot comesI was waiting for so long to finally play the Fortnite Rescue The World mode. It was promised that it will be for free at the end of 2018 but it looks like they have lied. The best loot comes only from the lamas which are micro transaction ( loot box ) mechanic. Just read that Fortnite Rescue The World will not be free 2018 so I just uninstalled the game and gave up waiting for it and playing the PvP mode and will move on. Sadly the game is actually nice but the micro transactions problem destroyes the game.     Greed kills the fun of this game. If the devs can pull their heads out into fresh air then maybe I'll come back, but they've already hurt their playerbase enough to kill any game

    I just hate this game. I mean, you just buy thing with real money just for SKINS and EMOTES. Also, the emotes are used for provoke someone in some of the cases. I know that is kind of fandom based, but why did you just have to do an emote that you make a signal that mean "loser"?     in all honesty, i won more than 300 matches in this game, but I still find it the most frustrating experience ever, the new content which drops every week or so is never truly patched and the bugs, glitches, errors, crashes, only show the lack of effort epic took in the making of this game

    Fortnite is the best game. Let me explain so Fortnite is a game where you can play with friends or alone and it has different game modes.
    I play this game with my friends and it never gets old because we get to battle people and try to win. But that’s not the only thing Fortnite has different game modes which makes it interesting. Playing with friends can benefit your stats and can give you more xp so you can level up faster. But when you play alone you challenge yourself for more of a challenge and there won’t be groups of people trying to kill you at once.
    They also have updates every week which usually comes with some new items or game modes. When fortnite first released you would just fight small hordes of zombies but no there is big hordes of people playing this game. Even some celebrities play this game And this game can be played on almost all platforms including mobile phones. So this makes it easier for people to play when they are out of town or traveling. And a lot of other popular games like Assassins Creed don’t offer this same feature. Fortnite’s popularity is not really decreasing, if anything it’s increasing; around 40 million people log on to play this game every month. When a certain gamemode gets boring there is always another one so you can have more fun.

    Fortnite is an ever-shifting entity, but strong footing has solidified it as a verified phenomenon with fast, fun gameplay and ubiquitous reach. Anyone can play it and have a great time, and although Save the World might get grindy and shotgun climb-and-dives might get a little tiresome, there’s real magic here along with the promise of more in the months and years to come.
