Entertaining, engaging and enveloping; once Five Nights at Freddy’s clasps its paws around you, it will be hard to let go.

Five Nights at Freddy's is horror done right. No slasher techniques, no gore necessary.

No nightmare can match the sheer terror of looking into the eyes of a plush monster that has come to tear you apart. A new kind of horror is in town. [Issue#245]

The real miracle here is that the game communicates its gut-wrenching horror without a single drop of blood, yet still belongs in the upper echelon of horror games.

A simple design that's devilishly clever at messing with you.

Five Nights at Freddy's, even without both the third dimension and high production values in general, is really scary. It is a little horror game which will scare you with both its original idea and its implementation, proving there may be always a new approach in any genre.

Nice concept but the sense of horror goes away really quickly. Action is presented in a repetitive way and the resource management doesn't work as well as it could have. Nonetheless the player will still have a few scares.

Five Nights at Freddy’s presents an interesting concept to the player, and tries a different approach to the genre other than the usual asylum, graveyard and ghost town. Even the gameplay has something to say, but after the first minutes, once understood the mechanism, is hard to find a real interest in continuing playing.

With limited power,Five Nights at Freddy's is kind of like a pseudo survival horror game. You play as a night shift guard at a Pizzeria. With limited power, resources and visibility you have to keep the rogue animatronics under control.

The game has an incredibly simple interface. You sit in the guard's office, and have access to locking doors, lights and the restaurant's camera system, which is accessed via a tablet.

It's an interesting idea that falls pretty flat and gets very boring, with super limited game play fairly soon. The game is so short simply because there isn't enough content to expand upon.

It also feels incredibly cliche as far as survival horror games goes, it's just another indie developer jumping on the survival horror train, throwing something together and cashing in on STEAM. Honestly I feel STEAM greenlight has done more bad then good for the game industry.

Anyways, the game is plagued by limited game play, short play times and awful graphics. If you were going to do something like this, at the very least you could do a better job with the graphics.

It's not even worth the $5.00 cost for admission. Maybe if you got it in the humble bundle, for a dollar with multiple other games included.

I've play a ton of horror games and most of the time, they resort to cheap jump-scares and having a bad atmosphere. But when I saw this game,I've play a ton of horror games and most of the time, they resort to cheap jump-scares and having a bad atmosphere. But when I saw this game, I was stunned. Unlike most horror games, you are fixed in a tiny office, looking through cameras to see where the animatronic robots are. What's makes this even more creepy is that the story takes place in a kids pizza parlor where animatronic robots are based on character's from the pizza parlor. This game will scare you and leave you scared for the rest of the night. In short. BUY THIS GAME! Full Review »
