Surprisingly this game is interesting to play, but it includes the incredibly huge amount of crap. 1 million bugs, glitches, awful level design, awful optimization, bad lightning system, awful graphic and too much other stuff that's why I cannot recommend it in any situation

Looking at the trailer, 50% of the game has been cut. It is also a bugged mess. The main villains show up for a few moments in the game and then disappear. 3/10

Это первая игра, в которой мне пришлось понизить настройки графики ниже высоких - средние и всё равно очень часто были фризы, хоть и не так часто, как на высоких. To explain why Five Nights at Freddy's: Security Breach (henceforth referred to as SB) gets a 0 out of 10, it needs to first be explained what the subjective criteria is for scoring.

To explain why Five Nights at Freddy's: Security Breach (henceforth referred to as SB) gets a 0 out of 10, it needs to first be explained what the subjective criteria is for scoring.

The first and most arguably notable point is 'fan appeal'. It is undoubtedly obvious that SB was created as the Five Night's at Freddy's 'Endgame' equivalent, a game that would be chock-full of references and callbacks to earlier points in the franchise. However, despite delivering on this point in a surface-level manner, none of the game's callbacks are created in a manner cohesive enough to provide that distinct sense of nostalgic "I've seen that before!" recollection in players. For that reason, it scores a 0 in this category.

The second point is gameplay. Strip away all iconography, strip away your Fazbears and your Aftons and your litany of easily recognizable names, and what is SB at its core, from a mechanical perspective? It is a 'horror' game that is poorly made and transparent to the point that any of its highly choreographed and overly-cinematic scares will not land without the absolute highest form of suspension of disbelief, bordering on delusion. Moreover the stealth mechanics are uninspired and uninteresting. Further, the gimmick of teaming up with Glamrock Freddy himself to maneuver through the Pizzaplex not only provides an arbitrary way to effectively render oneself invulnerable for large portions of the game, but also thematically distances the already too-cleanly-designed animatronics from being anything remotely close to scary. For these reasons, this category scores a 0.

The next area where SB can be scored is its technical optimization and overall playability. In every aspect, SB fails here. No matter what system this game is played on, be it a modest or incredibly high-end PC, or any one of the consoles on which it was also released, the experience will be fundamentally buggy, run poorly, or outright refuse to run at all. The game is also filled to bursting with texture and load-in errors that will demolish immersion in an instant; there is nothing less engrossing than opening a door to a new area and seeing nothing more than a black void.. only for the area you've entered to suddenly and jarringly load in all at once in front of you, oftentimes in bits and pieces that further kick around the scraps of immersion you might have once had. For these reasons, this category gets a RESOUNDING 0.

Lastly, the story. The story of SB and Five Night's at Freddy's as a whole is a yarn that has been weaved over the course of many years and many games, and to imply that it could be explained within the next 2,300 characters is folly of biblical proportions. Instead, SB will be graded in broad strokes on how it actually CONTINUES the story of Five Night's at Freddy's.

    Put simply, it does not.

Chock-full of glaring inconsistencies, missing story elements, and departure from any cohesive familiarity with prior entries in the series beyond vague and superficial references, SB fails to arouse even the slightest interest in the game's own individual story, let alone the wider tapestry of Five Night's at Freddy's in all. The endings are also a travesty in their own right, the majority of them save for the 'True' ending consisting of hackneyed, uninteresting, downright wacky comic book panels that almost seem to actively resent and reject any given player's interest in the story's conclusion. For these reasons, SB gets a categorical 0.

In conclusion, Five Night's at Freddy's Security Breach is.. not technically the worst game I have ever played. It isn't the least mechanically sound, its story isn't the most categorically absurd (though in many ways it ranks highly in that regard), and its themes (or staunch lack thereof besides, I guess, that murdering children isn't a good thing to do) aren't the least cohesive.

But when you compare the game delivered to anxiously-waiting fans to the game new developers Steel Wool promised (and frankly dangled obnoxiously in front of) them, the differences between the two take the shape of a disappointing failure filled to bursting with lies, broken promises, and promotional material that was not and will likely never be delivered upon.

SB is not the absolute worst at what it does in any respect, nor could that be conceivably argued. But when stacked up against everything it was meant to be, everything it should have been, and everything people were promised it was going to be after delays on top of delays on top of delays, it is - in every respect - a categorical and irrefutable failure.

For that reason, Five Night's at Freddy's: Security Breach gets a 0.

It is a buggy broken mess with frustrating boring “game-play” which mostly consists of “ok go here, alright now go here” over and over again, it’s so plainly obvious this was rushed and not play-tested nearly enough.

Now apart from the awful game-play, Security breach completely ruined the genuinely good ending from Five nights at Freddy’s: Pizza simulator that wrapped up many loose plot points from the previous games in a very concise way. ending the series with William Afton the main antagonist, burning to death and finally paying for his crimes.
But screw all that! Here’s William Afton back AGAIN for a truly lacklustre ‘boss fight’… The narrative presented in Security breach is so laughably bad it hurts.

Five nights at Freddy’s: Security breach adds next to nothing in terms of game-play or story. Please do not pay actual money for this mess and just watch someone play it.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Boy, do I have a lot to say about this game. It's not entirely bad; there are some saving aspects. The soundtrack is great, the character designs are amazing and the fandom is really picking it up and making it into something better. With all the cosplays and the art and the content the fandom puts out, it almost makes the game seem fun! Almost. The truth is, it doesn't feel like a FNAF game. It really doesn't. It just doesn't... carry the same horror as earlier games, and this is only exacerbated with how many bugs are in this thing. It's hard to fear these animatronics when one hop on any elevated surface breaks their AI completely. That, coupled with the bright and spacious environment, don't really make it something scary. This is, of course, my opinion, but one that I've seen many share. Let's talk about those bugs for a second. Many defenders of this game like to pull the "well every game has bugs early on" card. And, well, that's true. I can't really refute that. The problem is this game has so many bugs it might as well be Fallout 76. While I do apprecate their acknowledgement of these, every patch they make just seems to add more. Now, the lore. I've been a fan of this game since FNAF 2, and have seen how the lore has turned and taken twists. Convoluted and hidden lore is nothing new to the series, but that isn't the case with SB. If the lore is hidden, well, it's hidden so well it can't even be found. The tie-in to the missing kids at the end was so abrupt, it had me wondering if I missed a big chunk of lore. The plot goes from getting Gregory out, to upgrading Freddy, to staying behind to help some missing kids? Don't even get me started on Vanny. Vanny honestly feels like an oversight. Like, if when Scott was leaving, he left a note saying "Don't forget about Vanny!" and the team only payed attention to it once the game was over halfway done. For how much lore she was given in Help Wanted, and how much anticipation was created over her, she barely shows up. It's underwhelming. We got all this build up, and for what? She has 3 appearances and 2 voice lines, and a broken meter. I'm dissapointed about a lot of this game, but Vanny is possibly the thing I'm most dissapointed about. I feel that all of this was caused by a rush. The fandom was eager, and they wanted to get it out by Christmas. What did this cause? An unfinished, unpolished game. I understand the FNAF fandom can be overwhelming, but they really should've took the time to make it better. Overall, is it awful? Not really. It's got some redeeming aspects. Would I reccomend buying it, though? Not at all. Not in a million years. I really hope they'll take the path of No Man's Sky and fix it as time goes on, but for now I'm severely underwhelmed. They could've done so much more with it. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I must say, the game has it's best moments, like the daycare, or even the afton boss fight, but i think steel wool studios focused on the graphics then gameplay, even if you have a god tier computer, you can't play the game with ray tracing, even the last game: Help Wanted was better at running the game

When i think of Five Nights at Freddy's i think of an enclosed space, with a bunch of animatronics hunting you down, and this game throws this blueprint away.

Here's how i thought about Security Breach when the first teaser came: I played The Joy of Creation, i was stunned when i experienced how a free-roam Fnaf game can be that good, Help Wanted was also an good example, even by "not being free-roam" but all you get from Security Breach? Staff Bots, They are the real pain of this game, everywhere you go: Staff Bot. The jumpscares too, they are soo predictable, the screen shaking effect when an animatronic is running next to you doesn't help.

Vanny's Running animation is just bad, it's like an fortnite dance but going towards you. Talking about her, she was basically the game's "Main antagonist" from the trailers and teasers. But what a surprise: She only appears like 3 times in the entire game and then she's gone.

Sadly, i think fnaf won't be going back to the 2D Horror game that everyone liked for a long time, or it just wont, if you want some good fnaf games, go to gamejolt, they have the best fnaf fan games, TJOC, FNAC,POPGOES,JOLLY,FINAL NIGHTS and many more.

With that said, i don't recommend trying this game, i hope you have a great day.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Ok Imma give my honest opinion on this game. I'm very mixed on it. First off the bat, the amount of Bugs/glitches in it is insane, but it at least isn't anywhere near as bad as the amount in Cyberpunk 2077 at it's launch. Though the amount is still absurd considering the amount of time they had to finish the game, and then polish it up. And don't get me started on the PS4 version of the game, because on PS4, it currently runs like absolute s***, with the framerate hardly getting anywhere new 20fps, areas never loading in by the time you reach them, huge lag spikes, and enemies constantly teleporting to your location.

Ok, onto the base actual game. Beyond all the technical issues, it's a samewhat good FNAF game. I think the most urgent thing they have to fix concerning enemies is the AI, because it's absolute dogs***. They easily loose track of you, constantly teleport, and when you gain the high ground, they back off. They urgently need to give all enemies in the game a complete redo of the AI. Especially the STAFF bots, because for a starter, there are WAY too many of them, and when u think you've managed to get past one, they'll teleport jumpscare you, where you go up a staircase, and a STAFF bot still at the bottom will still get you, like WTF. Also, they promised that there'd be entirely playable arcades in the game, but in total ONLY 4 ARCADE MACHINES ARE PLAYABLE. Like, they've got numerous huge arcades scattered around, with some having no playable arcade machines at all. It was such a huge missed opportunity to continue with the formula of 8-bit minigames revealing more lore.

Ok, next up, Vanny. WTF happened. She was being hyped up so much to be the main looming threat of the game, but 1. 90% OF HER VOICELINES FROM THE TRAILERS WERE SCRAPPED, LEAVING HER WITH LITERALLY ONLY LIKE 3, and 2. She hardly appears at all, only ever appearing in like 3 scripted sequences. STAFF BOTS ARE MORE THREATENING THAN HER.

Ok, story. They could've done so much more with it. It's extremely apparent that like 80% of the story that was originally going to be in the game was completely scrapped. They had so much cool ideas that they could've built on, like the plot of Vanny killing 9 kids. This only gets revealed to us in one of the endings in a newspaper and that's it. In the first trailer, we hear Vanny state that Gregory's friends are with her, but that was a scrapped line, and a long with that, THERE'S NO MENTION AT ALL OF ANY OTHER KIDS. There could've been such a cool plot line of us trying to save the other kids captured by Vanny, but they didn't do anything with it at all. Also, could've they had come up with a more unique design for Afton in his bossfight?? He's literally just a slightly redesigned Springtrap!! They could've at least taken inspiration from the trash amalgamation in the books. And none of it is given any buildup AT ALL. You just stumble upon the FNAF 6 location, Find Afton in his "new" form, burn him a couple of times while fighting a giant tentacle creature controlled by Molten Freddy that isn't given any explanation at all, and then are given a pre-rendered cutscene of Blob creature pulling Afton away, while Freddy and Gregory escape the burning Pizzaplex, like WTF. They had such important story characters, and hardly did anything with them at all.

I'm a huge FNAF fan, I really am, but it's so hard to recommend this game at all, currently. I'd at least wait 4-6 months when the game is fixed and maybe some cut content is returned with maybe some DLC to expand on the story some more, which the game desperately needs.

In all reality, instead of adding new, fun mechanics to the game, it takes away from what Five Nights at Freddy's is and winds up being not very scary. There are always shimmers of light every now and then just for it to be taken away by the back and forth tasks you do throughout the game. Not to mention the teleporting animatronics and under-used characters such as DJ Music Man. I like the overall design and the plot is intriguing, especially for long time fans of FNAF even if the other aspects don't hit quite right. Conclusively, I think that this game needed more development time and thought of what makes a Five Nights at Freddy's game while still implementing the new mechanics. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I wanted to love this game so badly. I've been such a huge FNAF fan for 8 years now, and I was so hopeful that this game would be the one to really throw the series into incredible territory. But I was completely wrong, and this game to me just felt like endless disappointment.

Everyone has discussed the glitches and bugs in this game endlessly, but I genuinely felt like giving up on the game multiple times because of these issues. It felt like I was encountering frustrating glitches every hour or so, and it really made the gameplay hard to enjoy. When an animatronic can spawn right in front of you, or kill you through a wall, or freeze in place for no reason, it makes dealing with them unfun.

The save system is horrendous, and I genuinely cannot believe it was approved. The amount of times I'd be caught by an animatronic (sometimes because of glitches...) and it'd send me back to my previous save, sometimes being over 30 minutes beforehand, was ludicrous. It got to the point where dealing with animatronics and progressing wasn't scary or exciting, it was just frustrating, because I didn't want to have to keep going back to my previous save if I lost. And the decision to remove saving after 6AM is crazy to me too, it's a terrible design choice, added only to artificially pad out game length/difficulty in the worst way possible.

One of my biggest issues with this game is just how utterly incomplete and unfinished it feels. So many elements from the trailers were cut from the game, to the point that this feels like a totally different game to what we saw in the trailers. Perhaps the worst offense in this regard is the treatment of Vanessa/Vanny. She was set up in previous games, and in the trailers, to be a huge part of this game, acting as the main villain. But playing through the game, you'll soon see that she's completely pointless; her inclusion was miniscule, and she genuinely felt like she had 90% of her role cut from the game because it wasn't finished.

Another example of this issue is the fact that almost all the endings are comic book strips... this genuinely made me laugh because of how strange and out of place it felt. It's obvious the developers, sadly, didn't have time to finish the game. And that sense of incompleteness is perhaps its biggest issue. The choice to bring back a certain character in the 'true ending' is something that I completely dislike, but I understand whether you like that or not is subjective. But to me, it felt like undoing the endings of the previous games, and as a huge fan of the lore of this series, that was a really bad decision.

On the bright side, the character designs of this game were incredible, and the graphics were really pretty. It had a great premise, and the earliest parts of the game were fantastic. The Pizzaplex setting was awesome, and really felt like it had so much heart poured into it. There were some genuinely brilliant segments too - like the Daycare section, and the Endoskeletons section. It's just unfortunate that these are so uncommon in the game. At least Monty was consistently a fantastic character!

Overall, this game felt like absolutely massive wasted potential. It could've been a game-changer in the series, but it's clear that the game needed much longer in development than it got. I was so excited, and sadly, the game let me down in a lot of places. So I wouldn't recommend buying this game, but I'll remain hopeful that the developers will listen to the criticisms of the players, and that future games in the FNAF franchise will improve on the formula built here.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The bugs are bad. Really bad. And, there are some areas that don't feel like they're fully utilized. Nevertheless, it is a good game and a fantastic refresh to a somewhat stale series. It's horror aspects are subtle but there. There are some frightening areas(looking at you, endos) and some absolutely rage filled areas (arcade was a disaster). Both of which are true to FNAF's original core. Scary, but also rage filled. The atmosphere is genuinely beautiful to look at while also remaining off setting. It looks and feels very sterile, which coupled with the audio cues and the robots attempting to kill you, makes it unsettling. The endings are interesting. I enjoy the comic book type endings because it clearly depicts what is not canon and what is. But, it still feels like a massive cop out, so obviously points off there.  The environment is beautiful and cannot be understated. This is one of the best looking AAA titles in years. The graphics are absolutely stunning and they do require some pretty hefty computing power. My RX 5700 XT was struggling at Ultra 1440p and couldn't maintain a solid 60, so the game is demanding. It needs some optimization work done though. The bugs are bad. The game breaks often, but with the patches they've been releasing, it's been getting better. I don't hate Steel Wool for this unlike other studios. They are a small team who had never taken on a project this big. The fact that they were able to pull this off alone is impressive, and I don't doubt that this will be fixed. I'd rather it have been delayed, though. This was a let down. The lore is excellent, contrary to what you might hear. It's best not to listen to people talk about a FNAF games lore until a few weeks pass because there is always tons of stuff hidden. This game is no different. The story appeared dull at first, but as people found more and more hidden areas and secrets, it became much more complex. Overall, this game was unfortunately rushed and loses a lot of credit because of that. But it is a great game nonetheless and is worth a play. Expand

What am I meant to say about this game?

FNaF security breach is an enigma of a game. It's the most normal horror game in the series, but a huge departure for the series, as you are now exploring a huge amusements facility called the "Pizzaplex", while running away from the numerous animatronics trying to hunt you down. Most of the game is linear, but there are a couple of split paths

FNaF security breach is an enigma of a game. It's the most normal horror game in the series, but a huge departure for the series, as you are now exploring a huge amusements facility called the "Pizzaplex", while running away from the numerous animatronics trying to hunt you down. Most of the game is linear, but there are a couple of split paths and a multitude of endings you can get.

All that sounds well and good doesn't it? A relatively linear exploration horror game with lots of endings and a good amount of alternative and end game content? Well... This is where stuff gets awkward. See, Security Breach is buggy. Very buggy. So buggy that since its release, the game has had a bug fix fixing over 200 issues, and the game is still absolutely swarmed with bugs in every single corner. So buggy that many speedrunners have challenged themselves to beat the game with ridiculous rules like no running or beating the bosses in reverse order. So buggy that in my first casual play through of the game, I managed to get softlocked not once, not twice, but EIGHT individual times through the entire run. I've rarely had a game softlock on me, but to have it happen eight times in a single run through a game is both impressive and pathetic to me.

So why am I rating this game so positively? Firstly, I find glitches and bugs both fascinating and hilarious most of the time, and this game was a treasure chest for such things. Secondly, beyond its buggy code, the actual core game was pretty fun, and had some really effective and enjoyable moments. At numerous times through the game, I felt that the atmosphere was brilliant, or that I would have loved to have a party at the Pizzaplex. While I think it's hard to argue the game is good, I had a lot of fun with it, and I still love going back and just exploring the brilliantly realised environments every now and then.

Five Nights at Freddy's: Security Breach tries to convince with his new gameplay mechanics but doesn't achieve this in the most parts. The only really horrible things are the bugs and the game could be so much better with more development time.

Five Nights At Freddy’s: Security Breach is the newest addition to the fans' favourite indie survival horror series and although it expands its ideas into 3D space marvellously, due to its performance issues it delivers an undercooked pizza experience.

While offering a lot more varied content from previous installments, Five Nights at Freddy's: Security Breach is unfortunately riddled with a myriad of technical and design issues. As a result, it’s a title I can only recommend to hardcore series fans and survival horror fanatics after most of its issues have been fixed.
