To be brief; it doesn't feel like a FNaF game, it's literally like he got FNaF1, got rid of phone guy and the cameras, changed the settings and added some minigames.

I feel that this game was a big step back from the series, it may be more scarier, that doesn't mean it's more harder.

Unfortunately I beat all 5 nights in 3 hours because I didn't feel the challenge like winding up a box or checking on all the cameras looking for the animatronics.

Now you are placed in a child's bedroom, listening for breathing then shutting the door or flashing at the monster at the end of the hallway. It took away from the challenge and once you get used to the routine then it just becomes so boring and repetitive.

Nice Game, it is a bit scary, though the gaming it's nothing new. But the story is strange because it's giving a total confusing turn. I hope the movie will explain that.

This game is not scary but the game is so fun and hard. It provides a challenge and once you get to nightmare mode the game becomes actdicting. I have to minus points for it not being scary and sometimes the breathing is too quiet but its still good

All fnaf is not scary but the game is so much fun to play

I like the new idea of bringing this into the bedroom, making it much darker and adding more jumpscares. It'll just get too boring sometimes and not much complexity.

I like five nights at freddys but this is not like my kind of flavour i liked the 1st and 2nd better and all the characters went from small big medium and small so i think if there was more charecters and i would like to know what the map looks like but no-one knows.

    A pretty good horror experience.
I'm pretty sure everybody knows about Five Nights at Freddy's at this point, but this is easily the best game in the series. I will admit that it's not the scariest game ever made, but it's a great game all around. The idea this time is that your a child in his room hiding from the animatronics. You have to hear for when an animatronic is near, which while it is a good idea, it's not used very often during the nights. You also have to check behind you and in a closet, which gives the constant fear of being attacked from behind. The jumpscares are pretty scary this time around, because in some cases, you never know when they'll scare you, which make this game's jumpscares the best in the series. Depending on your jumpscare tolerance, you'll get scared almost every time, but if you know what to expect, you'll never get scared. It's a solid horror experience, and if you enjoy the series, you'll like this game. I can see why some people don't like this game, it can be unentertaining at times, and the fan base is a bit.. rabid to say the least, but the game by itself is still a satisfying experience, and a great conclusion to the FNaF franchise.

    Five Nights at Freddy's 4 gets a 7/10.

FNAF2 was the best one, 3 was getting a bit old and now it is just overdone. We didn't get the story out of this one to make up for it. All in all, 4 is not what it needed to be

If Scott would have just stayed with the first one, no one would be angry at spending more money. Once again it loses the scares, interest, or it just fleshing itself out.

el juego es mejor que su juego anterior, ya que al menos intento que el juego de miedo, pero lamentablemente, el juego te deja mas dudas que respuestas, y scott, no revelo una incognita del juego, y esa es si la mordida es del 87 o del 83 ?

Okay, so this FNaF game isn't the greatest one in the franchise, but it's hanging on there. FNaF 4 has to be the worst game of the franchise, and this is coming from a big FNaF fan. The gameplay is probably the worst of the series, with the whole notion being very confusing to me about the Nightmare animatronics still. Lore wise, there weren't a whole lot of contributions made, besides the possible Bite of '87.

Fnaf 4 is extremely mediocre. The game is ok when it comes to graphics, since the room doesn't look that good but scott outdid himself with the minigames and the animaronics. The lore is more independent and easier to get, which is 2 cewl 4 me! Scott made a *beep* move when it comes to gameplay, bumping the scaryness and annoyance up, since (yet again) you can see the jumpscares coming from a mile away. At least there is no room for babying it out and turning the volume down here. The game is repetetive, especially since there is no camera, but at least it fits the theme of the game and makes you more helpless. The game's scaryness is ok. The animatronics, while scary are predictable. At least the fact that you are a kid makes it scarier since it makes you feel more helpless.
In short, the game is mediocre in everything.

FNaF 4 really is a frightening game. Not because of its jump scares but mainly because of the setting of the game. A child's bedroom is a very interesting place for a FNaF game. Despite this however, I feel that this game has the most repetitive gameplay in the series. You are no longer watching cameras but running around a room the whole night. It gets stale very quickly. Another thing I don't particularly like is how loud the jump scares are. It gets annoying because you have to listen very closely and you most likely have your volume turned way up. Yeah it's frightening, but it sacrifices an enjoyable experience as a cost. I know it sounds like I really don't like this game but I do. It is very satisfying when you do beat the game and its extra modes. It's not a bad game but the way its designed needs some work. Expand

I was so curious about how you would have fended off the nightmares. Well, when i saw that you needed to listen for breathing, i was excited at first, but i never actually liked having to crank up my audio to hear the sounds... this actually brings a great fear factor. The anxiety it creates to actually mess up and get jumpscared while having that audio at 90% or more... truly terrifying. The game also gets quite challenging during later nights. You are greeted with an atari-like minigame every time you finish a night that tells the story of a crying child. If you don't know the lore of the game, they might just look like nonsense to you, which sucks.
    Well, that's it.

All the imaginary animatronics have the most terrifying designs to them replicating very well what it feels to be afraid of monsters that your mind as a child can conjure to create fear. The gameplay has priority emphasis on paying attention to sound. You become desperate to check each location in your room to avoid getting jumpscared as a night progresses.

The jumpscare issue the last game faced is more than resolved here but the gameplay and lore has become rather lacking here with a thirst for more context.

The franchise expanded a lot since that distant 2015 where FNaF 4 came out, in the previous game it is undoubtedly the worst game in the main Five Nights at Freddy's saga. A game that has a very radical change in gameplay compared to previous games, where we only had access to the cameras and look from one place to another by closing doors or lighting ducts and lighting a large corridor, which shows that the franchise Both in later games and before this one, it has a mechanic or an aspect of the gameplay that involves the lights or sounds of the environment to help the survival of the player (games such as FNaF World or Freddy in a Space are totally different and have a different gameplay each one to the main games). Lighting behind the bed, approaching the doors, lighting the corridors, opening and closing doors or cabinets is all you have to do, and besides that sound should be your greatest ally in play since it will be very useful to avoid to the animatronics present in the game, which makes you dependent on your reaction speed and your earphone capacity more than on your visibility, which in gameplay little or nothing is used. This added to the 8-bit minigames that explain one of the most important events in the history of the franchise, which does not exceed them or make them heavy, but they are very meh, although interesting and leave you with the curiosity of the history of this saga.

The difficulty of the game is challenging and it is one of the most difficult of the saga to date, having the possibility of playing 8 nights each one more difficult than the previous one, and with some challenges that increase its replayability but without a custom night mode. That iconic in the franchise that since the last installment was not and I do not understand why they did not add it in this installment, and once you have passed the game you will not want to return to it unless it is to complete it if 100% but if already it is 100% completed, you will have no choice but not to return to it. The animatronic designs are somewhat exaggerated (excess of "fear"), this is because how his previous game did not provoke that fear so characteristic of the saga that in this game he wanted to return but now with much more teeth and red eyes Yes, they are scary and it generates that terrifying discomfort but it is very excessive and its Halloween edition in my opinion is improved a little but it also does not remove from my head that this excess of "terror" made the game not be taken in serious the atmosphere of himself. The extras contain many more things than in the previous game where there are some of the minigames with the Plushtrap animatronic, the challenges that I previously mentioned, the present animatronics of this installment and two demonstrations of how Nightmare Foxy and Nightmare Freadbear are created for At that time it fulfilled what FNaF 3 began with the extras, today it is somewhat empty to how it has been improved and later with the following games and fangames, that section being very forgettable. It goes without saying that FNaF 4 is not the best or the worst, it is an enjoyable game that requires a challenge that does not make your thumbs bleed, despite its shortcomings it is a game that I really like and is one of my favorites in this franchise.

FNAF takes a step back, and relies on sound to scare you. It still works, but now your biggest fear would be going deaf because of its loud scare jumps.
