    Had to refund the game because I was unable to launch it due to TERRIBLE ANTI CHEAT.
    Good job EA, despite releasing almost the same game every year, you still find new ways to screw it up on launch xD

    Imagine a FIFA game which is pretty much the same from the past 6 to 8 years. This is what this game is.

    Difficulty in this game is basically turning your AI into potato mode where you will have AI controlled players willingly allowing the opposition to progress. Come on, I'm somewhat annoyed at the moment because I'm experiencing it myself. THIS IS NOT DIFFICULTY!! The AI in this game    Imagine a FIFA game which is pretty much the same from the past 6 to 8 years. This is what this game is.

The AI in this game is dreadful, they need to dictate difficulty by turning your teams AI into braindead mode. Does that not speak volumes to how bad this game is?

    This year FIFA stays the same, do not lie to yourself.
    Visuals are a bit better, chemistry system is a bit different, there are minor revamps in different aspects but the core thing stayed the same: when you do anything besides the match itself - game is close to great but when match is started - even    I do not touch non-game issues like glitchy anti-cheat or stuttering here and there.
    This year FIFA stays the same, do not lie to yourself.
    Visuals are a bit better, chemistry system is a bit different, there are minor revamps in different aspects but the core thing stayed the same:
    when you do anything besides the match itself - game is close to great but when match is started - even if you like it at first, gameplay will rise its ugly head later on. You'll see the same ping-pong, defensively helpless, mind-boggling decision making by the players, itchy animations, arcade-feeling speed (lol'd at those claiming FIFA is so slower and close to realistic this year)... It leaves you with the same filthy feeling of being robbed for 60 bucks.
    Yep, there are no good football alternatives this year but there are many great games around, direct your money there.    … Expand

    On pc the lag, the bugs, the ANTI CHEAT jesus christ this is the only modern game ive had so much problems only EA games gives me this much trouble trying to run a game i cant even play normally an online game the input lag is terrible F UCK THIS GAME

    -ridiculously broken at one point, ridiculously bad at another. Often in the same game.

    6. User defenders DO NOT MARK.
    -litterally left to defend solo against an entire team every time opposition crosses the midfield.

    7. Switching between players is horrendous.
    -switching between players makes no sense, and often it litterally just locks and won't let you switch into anything.

    8. If your player has below 75 ball control/dribbling, they will have a sunday league touch and turn.
    -You will litterally lose the ball if you pass to one of these 9/10 times.

    9. AI gets ALL LOOSE BALLS.
    -If you tackle, your player stumbles and another opponent picks up the ball.
    -if you slide tackle, your player will just fly off the pitch and opponent stands up and continues.
    -if you clear with a header, an opponent picks up 10/10 times
    -if none of these happens, it means you have tackled the ball out of play.

    10 (and final, but I have 50 more things to say about this steaming garbage joke of a game).
    IT IS SCRIPTED BEYOND PLAYABILITY.
    -If the game decides that you should concede a goal, you WILL concede a goal and that is a fact. If it decides you should score a winner in the last minute, the whole pitch will open for you and you can litterally just run the ball into the goal. Holy smokes this game is awful. WAOW

    I have so much to say about this game already, and most of them are bad. I don't think I can recall a worse release than this. I am appalled, and I wish there was some mentionworthy competition to this franchise. We have been robbed.

Just to make it look like they have "made a new game" when in fact they have just updated the players and slapped 23 everywhere. its actually crazy how they get away with it! and on top of that i needed to whip out some computer knowledge just to get onto the game dodging all the error messages i was greeted with and inI honestly believe they bring this game out knowing there is bugs.     Where to start, moderately enjoyable when you get to play. Couldn't play for weeks at launch due to anti cheat software and bugs. Even now I have to re-install the anti cheat once a week because it locks up my machine. Still can't launch the game with a mouse plugged in either cause it will default to mouse and keyboard controls with no way to change it.

    They make so many mistakes, like releasing hero pack for 25k and taking it off after 20 minutes. Its just not fare and it keeps happening all the time. Also the gameplay still has alot of problems.

    PC version is atrocious. I tried on 2 different PCs both high specs which should run the game on ultra or high at least. Games are lagging massively dropping of FPS, stuttering. It stopped lagged when I placed settings on medium and lock fps to 30. It some kind of joke because one of GPU was Geforce 1080 and another one with AMD 8 RDNA 2CU. I recommend reading the research paper by Gamble Aware called "Lifting the Lid on Loot-Boxes" - just google it, to see how the gaming industry tries to sugarcoat using addicting gambling mechanics and fear of missing out (FOMO) to induce in game purchases.… Expand

    No doubt the game has improved on graphics but there are just too many bugs and server issues that makes the game literally unplayable. The certain small animations for tackles, collisions just takes too long for the player to recover and whereas the opponent is already up and running.     I've addressed all these to the EA support but got no reply and it's clear to me they don't care about the FIFA community at all since many are facing similar issues but EA hasn't come up with a patch or given any solution. All they care about is people shelling money on their FIFA packs since they've been releasing new limited packs for the 20% of the people who are able to play the game instead of actually fixing the issues and making the game better.    … Expand

    This game is terrifying, with all the bugs, glitches and it's terrible matchmaking this makes for me one of the worst FIFA's in history, the Anti-Cheat and the gameplay are also trash, the arbitrators whistle fould when it's not to, the passes are like you are the IA playing on Debutant, they tried to be realistic and failed

    If you care about yourself, DO NOT BUY THIS GAME. It is literally unplayable, it takes so long to just pass the ball, there is serious input lag issue here. In addition, animations are embarassing resembling wrestling fights between players.

    The game recognizes a second ghost controller. After going wired it fixed itself but if I touch the keyboard or move the mouse, the game goes berserk and starts navigating the menus by itself.

    The players look terrible visually. In the main menu, their head is extremely large when compared to their body.

    Volta is a joke. All cosmetics are locked behind a big paywall. You can't even change or edit the members of your squad.

    After I force shut down the game it causes my memory to be at 100%, my PC freezes, there's audio crackling and I can’t do anything other than wait and hope that it will unstuck itself. I got scared the game might fry my hardware. I am afraid to launch the game again.

    This game sucks! EA earned 2bi with Fifa 22 and stills uses a bakery service.

    The game always disconnects, stuttering has no support for 144hz and stills the same script in online matches, where the AI decides who will win before the game starts.

    I give up, not buying FIFA 24.

    I have followed all possible advice I found on the forums, nothing helped. Today the game updated for me, also did not help. I keep getting the same message at startup: "The secure boot feature is not enabled on this computer." - ofcourse it's on.
    I have my computer configured exactly as required,    I get an error when starting the game. The problem is caused by faulty anti-cheat software.
    I have followed all possible advice I found on the forums, nothing helped. Today the game updated for me, also did not help. I keep getting the same message at startup: "The secure boot feature is not enabled on this computer." - ofcourse it's on.
    I have my computer configured exactly as required, what's more, before another reinstallation of the game, I discarded the file running anti-cheat from the game folder. The game tried to start for a moment, but stopped at the start screen and did not continue to start, probably due to the lack of anti-cheat.
    Thus, I have been unable to launch the purchased game for 7 days (as of 07/10/2022). I have already reported the problem once to EA's Polish helpline, supposedly I was put on the list of the aggrieved - supposedly what does that get me?
    I am running out of patience, and looking for help on your forums is some kind of drama, no one can competently help with this problem.
    How much longer should I wait for the problem to be solved?
    And what as an aggrieved party will I get from you as compensation.    … Expand

    I have been playing fifa since 13 and i have to say this one is by far the worst. Player career mode doesnt work as intended and the gameplay is ridled with bugs. It is probably better then a 0, nbut because of all the stess it has given me i doesnt deserve more than that

    Even launching the game is an issue. Awful menu design. Controls are just broke. New corner and freekick system is not working right way. I should stick with FIFA 22 which is free thanks to gamepass instead of paying this game 209.99 TRY. What a waste...

    FIFA 22 was a fun and playable game, this one is f crap, so many bugs althought I have better PC ten minimal requirements, I don't feel the whole gameplay, servers as always suck. Please patch it EA maybe it will be better

    It is literally the exact same game as the last, yeah this is disappointing like allways not a suprise but come on, EA want almost 90 euro for Ultimate Edition of this crap, for game which sometimes start normal, sometimes won't start at all and its full of bugs and errors. this is a 30 fifa game and they still can't fix this problems. This is ridculous, this is just a scam again.

El juego me parece una cagada terrible, el primer fallo ya fue el anticheat que hacia que el juego no funcionara menos mal que se arreglo pero perjudico a muchos jugadores, despues esta super mal optimizado el juego tiene una bajada de fps brutales en algunas partes del partido, aunque con algunas actualizaciones mas o menos lo han arreglado un poco, despues el modo que mas e probado a sido el modo carrera tengo que decir que en maxima dificultad es casi imposible ganar actualmente con los slidders que tiene el juego por defecto no consigues ganar ningun partido la maquina es inmortal vez que llega vez que marca, en cambio tu puedes llegar muchas veces y solo conseguir un tanto, al final me decante por modificar algunos slidders y mas o menos el modo carrera se soluciono pero en algunos partidos hay muchas falsedades la maquina se rompe, me han podido llegar a marcar en una fase de champions en el partido de ida 7 goles en practicamente 13 llegadas en cambio llego yo 9 veces y solo consigo penetrar el arco rival con 2 goles es un poco lamentable que hagan que mi portero no se pare nada. Se ve que la maquina en su campo suele crecerse y es casi imparable, pero luego juegas en tu campo y parece que juegan peor no entiendo nada. Aparte de eso los jugadores cuando les da la gana empiezan a volverse torpes por una extraña razon, pases faciles los fallan, para defender empiezan a ir lentos y no llegan a ningun balon esto es increible, me lleba pasando con un monton de equipos. En total e realizado unas 3 temporadas con diferentes equipos y la verdad que no e ganado absolutamente nada, siempre soy un equipo que encaja mucho que casualidad pero luego ves mi ataque y te puedo acabar la temporada con mas de 100 goles, parece que esta manipulado, luego parece que contra mejores jugadores tengas peor juega tu equipo, soy el tipico que juega todos los partidos sin simular ni uno y la verdad que es lamentable que la maquina sea invencible, eso no pasaba en alteriores fifa la verdad. Lo unico bueno del modo carrera en si son las cinematicas de los traspasos y ya. Tambien el nuevo modo de supervelocidad es una mierda los jugadores corren como raro, algunos que tienen media de 90 corren menos que uno de 60 digamos que se traban, corren mas sin darle al boton de correr no entiendo nada, tambien inplementaron el super tiro que es bastante molesto porque cuando lo ejecutan la carama como que se fija en ese jugador y te lo acercan. Los arbitros tambien los han cambiado ahora son todos femeninos, en este juego hay que tener tambien cuidado porque cuando les da la gana te pitan penalti sin que les haga falta se ve que ahora pitan las manos o no lo entiendo. Han puesto novedades torneo modo femenino no e llegado a probarlo y mira que me suele gustar, pero es que como sea igual que el modo carrera va a ser infumable tambien ese modo. En fin yo creo que se han centrado como siempre en el tipico ultimate team vamos que solo les interesa el dinero que le pueden sacar a la peña y aun asi estan comentiendo fallos, me han comentado que hace poco habia un glitch en sobres y por 25.000 te tocaban jugadorazos y la gente que no se entero ahora esta en desventaja contra la gente que si lo sabia y no han compensado el error a los que no lo sabian y encima hay dejado quedarse las cartas a esos jugadores. Menos mal que es el ultimo fifa de la saga. Habra que esperarse a que FIFA saque su juego. A la muerte con electronic arts no creo que sobrevivan a 2023. When you start game without gamepad then it loads everything fine and then i can plug my xbox gamepad back but cannot use it in training drills which is pain in the a.. . It’s released with countless bugs like the the game consistently not remembering your settings. No biggie right? Imagine it’s 1-1 and end of game you lose cause you got auto switched (which you turned off) and on top of that there is a lot of assistance (also turned off) and your defender gets yanked forward completely giving a free goal to the opponent. The game is so slow. The passing is awful. I mean simple basic passes right to the opposition. It takes forever to turn. You can’t dribble. The game is all about passing but the passes rarely go to where you aim them because they still haven’t managed to figure that mechanic out. Or they once again change your settings. And are we gonna talk about all these settings that literally make the game harder not easier? Like why are they in the game. The new switching mechanic adaptive switching is bugged. It either doesn’t switch you to the player or you get double switched 40% of the time. It’s just a real serious drool game, that definitely feels like if they don’t fix things it will be unplayable in 2 weeks. Its literally just not fun. Every input is delayed, the players are delayed, apparently doing a 180 as a professional is impossible. It’s just not a good game. Now people can't play it because the anti-cheat needs safe boot, but even with it enabled it won't start. And, no, I wont run a f'ng game as administrator EVER. Got my money back.     This fifa version is the worst for sure, everything so slow and clunky. The animations are not that bad but the gameplay graphics are terrible. Now this game is only about passing and shooting, there is no dribble anymore, everything so slow, the delay in everything just makes it feel so boring.

The updates were necessary, but I did not have time to invest in relearning the physics to play at a competitive level that I was at previously. I played around with FIFA 22 for several hours but the goalie AI became frustrating. So here we are.

The physics are realistic and pretty fair for the most part. I used to get frustrated during the physics revamp because it was so easy to exploit random touches. Everything feels highly refined in this game. They also did a fantastic job improving the presentation and the career mode. I don’t play FUT so I can’t comment on that mode, which apparently has been causing a lot of issues. Every other mode is actually really well fleshed out. The World Cup mode is also an awesome addition to this year’s game. There are a handful of commonly reoccurring glitches and poor design choices. For example the advertising panels behind the goal are literally painted on the floor to give the appearance that it is 3D. That is just lazy. The default colors are awful, not sure how that passed clearance because they look terrible without adjusting your monitor for quite some time. Small nitpicks, but they are definitely a result of lazy design. Despite minor complaints, this is easily the most fun I’ve had with FIFA in a very long time.     My one point is for activating the retro soundtrack songs from previous titles during the World Cup update. That is my only positive. I would have said the initial gameplay version with specific acceleration types that made "big men" usable was a definite W, but they went ahead and patched this game into a gameplay style you have seen since FIFA 17... pace, agility, DDA (dynamic difficulty adjustment), meta (most effective tactic available) tactics, and cheap undeserved goals that provide zero satisfaction.

    I'll briefly mention that Career Mode got some attention that amounts to useless cutscenes and decisions that ultimately change nothing in the gameplay, and Pro Clubs is the same old 10 division, weekend cup, build your pro and hope your AI teammates don't throw the entire game for you.

    I know a lot of people hate it, but it is the main mode on FIFA, and the reason 90% of people buy the game, Ultimate Team. FIFA Ultimate Team (FUT), which was once, an exciting "journey to your favourite XI" is just becoming a menial task that some people might even consider a job, there's a promo every week, the meta shifts every week, and timed objectives and sbcs are released (almost) daily to help people to succumb to the fear of missing out and drive them to the microtransaction laden pack store.

    FUT has become an unsatisfying grind that leaves most players feeling empty because the pack weight (ability to collect better cards to upgrade your team) has been absolutely abysmal this year. Now, this point is subjective due to the randomness of odds (sound like gambling?), but due to the discrepancy of market value in promo cards, I am almost confident in saying that as a blanket statement. Also, pack odds are tied to "coin market value" not overalls, another sneaky trick by these predators.

    Now, if you combine terrible pack weight, unpredictable gameplay, time consuming grinding, DDA, coming up against the same XI players throughout your journey, and being rewarded with nothing, where would that leave you? Unfulfilled? That is the life for every current FUT player. Frustration and dissatisfaction in hopes that they succumb to the pressure of visiting the pack store to spend real money to upgrade their teams. It is more predatory than ever in this iteration of the football sim, and is the reason why Belgium has banned the game's microtransactions for violating its gambling laws, with the Netherlands & Austria currently investigating similar claims due to lawsuits.

    Jumping off FUT, for my brothers and sisters on PC, this game runs decently enough, for the most part, 60-80 FPS in 4K with an RTX 3080 / 9900K, ultra settings, hair strands off, FPS limit uncapped... but it should be way higher. FIFA 22 ran at 120-144 FPS for me just last year in the same configuration... the difference? From what I can tell, this version of the game is certainly a graphical leap forward so a performance hit is not "off the cards", but a ~50% reduction tells me there is another culprit and PC gamers... go ahead and say it with me: Stop putting anti-drm, kernel-level access, anti-cheat garbage in your games, it bloats the CPU and hampers its ability to send frames to the GPU. Unfortunately, that is not the worst part, and this is rather funny to me, but your "anti-cheat", DOES NOT EVEN WORK. I have never experienced cheating on my FIFA PC gaming experience outside of a common "no loss glitch" in draft mode in previous years. In FIFA 23, I have played invisible players, green time shot exploits, ultimate squad battles AI, and 99 rated silver players, across all of the game modes... This, all from a company that rakes in billions of dollars ($3.91B USD in 2022) in microtransaction revenue? And we're supposed to be okay with this?

    Also, I do not care how many proggies are offended by this, but again, EA, I am not interested in being lectured on politics from a company that promotes gambling to minors. It's a rich take, but keep your racist, divisive, manipulative, and factually incorrect political takes out of sports games. Use that ESG money to fix your servers you frauds.

At this point it is either a deliberate choice made to funnel as many people into the cash cow mode of Ultimate Team (the only mode that gets a semblance of maintenance), the code base has become an untenable mess, or the game does not get playtested whatsoever.

    I played two drafts, both times the first three matches the game was just fine, and then for the last match the most unthinkable things happen.

    For instance, for the last match of my last draft, Messi became incapable of dribbling and passing to the teammate, De Jong got injured without any reason after a few minutes from the start, the referee gave two no-sense penalty to the AI (Totally no-sense, I wasn't event controlling the player in that moments, I wasn't pushing any tackle button either anyway!
    AI became able to score in any imaginable way, while all my shots went out or were saved magically in any way.

    To make it even more disgusting: I made a substitution, let Mertens in, AND HE ENTERED ALREADY INJURED, WITHOUT ANY REASON.    … Expand

    7.online games are all scripted , defense mechanism sucks and defenders and Goal Keeper are allow opponent forwards to score easily
    8.World cup mode has lack of a lot of things

    They've had ages to sort out the issues with the PC version but of course, EA being EA, they haven't. Every single time the game is updated you need to install the certificates for the Anti-Cheat that doesn't work anyway... I've never known a company more incompetent than EA.

    Performance: The game runs like absolute cr@p, on PC. I've got an RTX 3070, 16gb DDR4 3600 RAM and a Ryzen 7 5800x3D and sometimes it looks like I've got something like an entry level pascal card with a 4th gen i5. It's one of the worst ports I've ever seen, on PC, by far. Problem is that the game is now running worse than before after the latest update. The frame drops arw not alone anymore. We now have random stuttering, sound crackling and, in my case, my game even goes completely silent while using my Creative soundcard. Terrible.

    Gameplay: Well, altough I understand they've tried a more realistic approach with this latest release, it's a poor attempt, mostly when it comes to the AI. And it's not a skill issue. I'm literally demolishing the AI on legendary on most games. And that's precisely the problem. The AI is stupid. Not only they play always the exact same way no matter the teams and tactics being used as they're extremely annoying. Although I win 99% of the games it doesn't feel rewarding as I see myself having to make the same plays over and over again, otherwise they intersect and predict my every move. Skill moves are mostly useless against them as well. Like, wtf? 26 editions later and the AI keeps getting worse with no hope for improvements. It's like the game is solely made with multiplayer in mind. But if so why implementing an offline career mode, that for the record is even more broken than last year's, if it's not realistic in any regard?

    The game is also infested with bugs, regarding animations and cutscenes. It's terrible. I can't remember the last time I've played such a buggy game. This is Cyberpunk level of buggy. That being said, I don't recommend this game on PC. I can live with the AI being atrocious but the massive ammount of bugs and poor performance all around are unacceptable.    … Expand

    If we had to rate FIFA 23 as a single release, it would definitely score high for all that it has accomplished and offered this year. But on the other hand, if one also owns last year's version and one's involvement with the series is casual and purely for light entertainment, there is no reason to invest in this year's version.

    I can safely say that ground is suitable for playing football in FIFA 23's current state. However if we know EA they'll definitely change the game drastically to reshape FUT and I'm not sure if we'll like all those changes. That being said, FIFA 23 is your best option to satiate your hunger while the World Cup is approaching.

    It’s still the leading football game in town, but EA has made only minor changes in FIFA 23, such as set piece tweaks and a new way of shooting. If you didn’t enjoy 22, chances are you won’t be too impressed with this one either.
