    If you're expectation is low, this game is ok. Don't expect this game to simulate real football gameplay. This is developed by people who don't understand a thing about football. I bought this version (last one being FIFA20) thinking maybe they've made progress, but no. Just treating this game as an arcade button smashing game to play online with other conned people.

    Really ! PC gamer don't have hypermotion, most of pc are equal ps5. No ray tracing or other and very old frostbite...so not necessary to have heigh performs. Same gameplay unreal IA. This is my last EA game

    1. Defense is even more stupid than last year. Zero defensive awareness.
    2. Long-range shots still not fixed and looking ridiculous.
    3. Auto-blocking is still huge random.

    Graphics is very mediocre, no significant changes to main game modes.

    Avoid by all means.

    My last fifa was 16, so i have tried 22.
    ABSOLUTELY terrible. Alt Tab means disconnect from game ? LOST.
    Opponent leaves in 20 minute with 0:1? LOST
    Met Hearthstone expert? LOST
    Absolutely classic EA game.

    Refunded!!!! After i learnt that as PC users we got screwed again by EA selling us half a game. PS5 and Xbox One users got a full game on much slower hardware!!!!

    This may be the worst game ever made. Arcade soccer at best. Every game is 8-8, nobody (including AI) can defend. All the goals scored are nonsense, just ball bouncing around and glitching in. Really just terrible.

The is so much of rhe gameplay that is left to 'chance' that it makes it imposso le for you to win if the game wants it. For instance, my opponents goalkeeper can make 15 saves and mine only 1 where goalkeepers areDead game already a couple months in... the game is geared towards encouraging you to spend more and more money.. its not a football game, its a money grindimg system for EA . Shameful how rhese people not only take our 60 pounds every year but also the millions upon millions in fifa points just to redress the same nonsense to trick is into spending more. What sucks, however, are EA's **** smelly and thieving servers that lag so damn much that it's practically impossible to play.     I clearly didn't learn my lesson with Fifa 21. What a mug I am. Online game play is absolutely diabolical. The lag and impact on game play is totally unacceptable. Having played this game online for a number of hours I realise it is has nothing to do with skill and everything to do with your network speed. It does not even try and be fair. Please never let me buy a Fifa games again.

    Wtf is wrong with this game? I haven't seen so much glitches in gameplay in my life. The way that AI opponents are playing is irreal. Sometime they accelerate like a flash, their legs glitch to complete the passes. Wtf. I will remain at my FIFA 14 with 22 patch. Thanks EA

    It is wildly entertaining to do these reviews because it is genuinely difficult to come up with a positive to boost the rating from zero. Let's see, oh yes that's right, the soundtrack is pretty good (apart from the modern rap, yikes) and oh wow Career mode finally got some attention. You can finally create your own club in "Manager Career Mode", which is sorely overdue, and in PlayerIt is wildly entertaining to do these reviews because it is genuinely difficult to come up with a positive to boost the rating from zero. Let's see, oh yes that's right, the soundtrack is pretty good (apart from the modern rap, yikes) and oh wow Career mode finally got some attention. You can finally create your own club in "Manager Career Mode", which is sorely overdue, and in Player Career there are new perk trees and objectives to help progress your player through team and coach approval ratings.

    Then there's the negatives... but it says 5000 characters max so... yea. I'll try to summarize. Microtransactions are still garbage in an industry that should have left them behind ages ago and/or should have been legislated and banned as simulated gambling, but seeing as there is a massive spike in online sports betting and casinos, it is safe to say that the profit margin execs at EA are alive and well and will not be facing any criticism anytime soon. Hooray!

    This game has been slowed down in its tempo, which while not necessarily a bad thing, is a terrible idea for a game which relies on responsiveness and fast movement to compete when you are not lucky enough to have a strong connection to EAs antiquated servers. On top of this, the passing has become abysmal, and that is not hyperbole. There are way too many times when the "smart passing IQ" will send the ball to a place you were not expecting it to go, this happened last year in 21, and apparently passing is not important enough in a football game to fix. To add a nice cherry on top, sometimes your player will not even register a pass or register too late and cause you to concede more times than you should have. It is just a huge step backwards in responsiveness that is so critical in a game like FIFA and is by far the worst aspect of this game.

    The goalkeeping is all over the place, they save every shot in an 18-yard box, but will become dumbfounded by a finesse shot from just outside the same box. I would be all for a goalkeeper upgrade, but it is like EA has to leave an exploit available to balance it out, instead of making goalkeepers more competent so that well worked football goals actually feel rewarding.

    Player switching is another issue that has become unbearable this year, you can spam LB/L1 as much as you want to get that critical switch into your CB or CDM to defend, but it just will not snap to the right player for some reason, even when analog switching. A hint for some is that you can now click in the RS/R3 to select a player directionally, which is definitely a small fix, but it is very clunky and hard to do in FIFA which relies on split-second decisions.

    I will give credit where it is due, they changed Rivals & FUT Champs rewards for the better, making it a bit less of a grind to get better rewards, because most people, although they won't readily admit it, they play this game like a card collecting simulator more than an actual football simulator. This is ultimately due to the inconsistent gameplay, momentum mechanics, and horribly toxic community, and it is hard to argue against that.

    Also, EA have decided that all of the next-generation mechanics, such as "hyper-motion technology" and last minute goal celebrations will not make their way to PC because they did not want to "divide our userbase" due to graphic card limitations. Apparently the majority of us are still using Radeon HD 2000s and Nvidia 7800s, because last time I checked, FIFA runs on a potato and a majority of the userbase (at least on steam) are using GTX 1060s or better? Sounds like a bull defecated somewhere. In all honesty, I played the PS5 version as well, and it actually felt heavier and clunkier, so maybe it is a good thing that PC missed out on it. Cheers EA!

    People also will not agree with this part, and that is fine, but EA can relax with the political messaging, I do not need to be pandered to by a greedy, corrupt company that only cares about their bottom line, let alone multi-millionaire football stars that are miles from reality. Save it for your Twitter feuds that nobody cares about and take your BLM & Rainbow Laces propaganda and sod off. This crap is thrown in our faces in every facet of media and entertainment, why it has to be in this garbage FIFA game as well is beyond me.

    + Good soundtrack

    - Terrible gameplay
    - Awful delay
    - Microtransactions
    - Passing is abysmal
    - Goalkeepers are inconsistent
    - Segregating PC community (hell, even the 5 Stadia users got the next gen version)
    - Toxic community
    - Momentum swings still exist
    - Player switching is a chore
    - Responsiveness is a variable in every single game
    - Nobody cares about Volta
    - Political grandstanding

    Overall, stay on 21 if you are a casual PC user and unless you are a hardcore player, do not buy this trite garbage.    … Expand

    FIFA 22 is quite possibly the worst FIFA game I have played on PC. There are a few points, positive and negative that I will separate and outline below.

    Pros- The graphics, although a downgrade from last year in my opinion, still hold up and does not create too much of a strain on my mid spec PC. Career Mode changes are welcomed, this is what I play most so I appreciate they spent    FIFA 22 is quite possibly the worst FIFA game I have played on PC. There are a few points, positive and negative that I will separate and outline below.

    Pros-
    The graphics, although a downgrade from last year in my opinion, still hold up and does not create too much of a strain on my mid spec PC.
    Career Mode changes are welcomed, this is what I play most so I appreciate they spent some time changing it up.
    Player development in Player Career Mode is much easier, which is a blessing as it was tough on both 20 and 21.

    Cons-
    Good luck playing Pro Clubs. Unless you play a drop in match you can spend hours trying to find a match. I spent all day today attempting to find a game in Div 8 with my buddy to be told there was no matches available.
    Pro Clubs player development is too easy, however, players play absolutely nothing like their ratings and again, as every year, each game feels pre determined, which they say is "momentum".
    Online FUT Co-Op deserves it whole own segment because it doesn't work. At all. Error message every time we tried playing a game and we only switched to FUT Co-Op because of the Pro Clubs issue.

    I feel every year that my money is better off being somewhere else with a developer that actually cares. Because in layman's terms, TL;DR: This is absolutely **** Like very, very **** Typical EA to only promote FUT and FUT Points and purchaseables.    … Expand

    I think they should have made a game that play itself. In fact, they are almost there. Good work!

    played a little bit fut, was probably enjoyable at first, even got to the elite, which basically if you don't pay is only a horrible way to play just to lose 80-90% of the time for some random crap, basically cpu decide 99% of the game, if you have a good team you will probably win, if you have a bad team you will probably lose, if you enjoy that kind of game, it's the game for you.

    It’s not fun to play when you don’t feel in control of the player you moving. There is no physics also. Doesn’t feel neither real or fun to play. I think it part because of the engine too.

    This is not a football simulation but only an arcade game that you have to do somethings that the game has asked you to score a goal.Crosses are just a waste of time.I have played nearly 100 matches and there is not a single time anyone scored a long shot goal.
    By long shot goals I am not referring no brainer,against physics finesse shots (!).Noone can score a long distance hard shot goal but however even the most talentless and incapable players score finesse shots with impossible angles.
    Since there is no logic in the game and defense does not exist, they decided make all the goalkeepers like Greek gods so they can prevent the matches to reach absurd scores like 9-13 like handball matches.The goalkeepers save everything, even the S400 missiles in the 6 yard box.
    I wish it was the same game different year but it seems EA now recklessly release the game not considering the players and what they think.It is really a shame that Hyper Motion is not included on PC and their explanations is way more fake.Just do your job and optimize it and then sell it EA!

    If someone will ever try to make more unfair game, it would be really hard to achieve. Whole gameplay is build around handicap. Moment it activates u see ur players cant make accurate 5m pass, and whatever u're doing wont save u from goal in next 60 seconds. Players stats change many times during one match, and this cheating is not a bug, it's a gameplay core.

The same with your defenders - always starts moving after opponents forward already moving.

    Cloudflare, Google, Open DNS - NOTHING WORKS.

    Players are abusing the same types of scoring method, in which you cannot do anything to defend. They put 10 defenders behind midfield, 1 attacker. Tackles the ball, throw a long pass from wherever they are to attacker, they're one on one with your goal keeper. This is disgusting. Additionally, it doesn't matter how much you pay for your players (300K, 500K, 1M), the best players are the bugged players: Kimpembe, Dembele, etc. These players are 83 overall and are literally in every FUT squad. There's no joy anymore and no real feeling of improving, it's not rewarding. Bouncing backs should be removed from the game, the ball returns a thousand times to your opponent until they finally score (the ball should just die out in your foot if you tackle or intercept a pass, but it doesn't happen, the ball goes back to them multiple times). Finally, the physics they're so proud of, is terrible. Often times you'll see two of your players going on the same direction, clashing and falling, thus leaving your opponent with the ball and free space to do whatever they want.

    When it comes to Fifa you can be sure of that: Professional Critic reviews should be totally ignored. They play the game for a couple of hours and that's pretty much it. We (real players) test the online features inside out, and from my experience I can tell you: you'll have fun moments when you win a stupid player who plays with 11 behind midfield, but most of the times you'll be frustrated and unhappy.     Servers are broken and typical EA trying to get as much money from the customers as possible in ultimate teams. Even playing solo, the servers crash and you basically played a match for nothing.

    Luckily I didn't buy this game and haven't bought an EA game for around 10 years and doubt I ever will again.

    Вспомните как часто вы видите удары в штангу в реальном футболе. 0-1-2 за матч? В этой пародии если меньше 3-х, то событие. Штанги в фифа это давняя проблема, но в этой версии уже даже радуешься штанге, потому что игрок за 50 миллионов долларов может не попасть с метра в ворота стоя по центру. Но, если вы в данный момент играете против команды кретинов (так решил ИИ), то гол игроком с ударом 60, с разворота из-за штрафной под опекой 2 защитников прямо Нойеру под крестовину, это нормально. Кстати, именно в этой версии совсем уж часто стали попадаться повторяющиеся голы, когда вратарь отбивает несложный удар и мяч летит вдоль линии ворот прямо на ногу одинокому нападающему, возле которого никого нет. Прям совсем часто.
    Может быть вы часто видите после стартового свистка или после гола, как игроки пританцовывая оббегают с мячом всю команду и забивают гол. Нет? Может быть в реальном футболе какой-нибудь Дембеле только и делает, что танцует с мячом всю игру и можно сделать отбор только сломав ему ноги? Нет? Странно, а вот тут это постоянно. Уже по составу определяешь команду танцоров. У меня уже alt+f4 рефлекс на танцы. Не хочу учавствовать в цирковом представлении.
    Да, характеристики не влияют ни на что. Если вы играете за команду кретинов, то защитник со скоростью 75 будет ставить раком всех ваших слоупоков с числом 90+ в графе скорости.
    Но самое больное это пасы. Их нет. То есть они как бы есть, но вы не контролируете ни пас, ни перехват. У вас может быть половина поля свободного, бегущий туда нападающий и отключены все "помогатели" в настройках, но ваш игрок отдаст самый нелогичный и самый тупой пас в этой ситуации. Я не профессиональный игрок, но на изи пас отдам на порядок лучше в такой ситуации .
    Нет смысла повторяться про сплошной донат. Но ОК, донат так донат. Ну пускай, купил ты более крутых игроков, у них характеристики чуть выше, где-то обгонит, где-то отберет мяч. Но какой смысл вливать килотонны денег в игру, которая не дает тебе играть? Я не понимаю. Это как вкладывать в кретинов)) У тебя реально половина матчей это команда кретинов, какой бы состав ты не собрал.
    К сожалению, после убийства PES, больше нет выбора. Очень хотелось бы увидеть нового конкурента EA, который разорвет эту пародию на футбол.    … Expand

Играю карьеру игрока на Ultimate, замечаю что боты за мою команду, даже когда я встречаюсь с днищенским клубом на грани вылета - не могут переконтролировать у них мяч, вечно дают пасы с ошибками, позволяют сопернику забирать у себя мяч, не отбирают мяч в своей штрафной, а просто бегают рядом, очень легко дают себя обводить и конечно бить по воротам - таким образом бомжи с рейтингом от 65-75 переигрывают мою тиму с рейтингом 80-90 как детей. Вот что я и заметил, независимо от рейтинга, соперник всегда будет заряжать в твои ворота ювелирной точности мячи, ПОСТОЯННО ПОПАДАТЬ В СТВОР, крутить финты в твоей штрафной прямо перед носом твоих защитников, а они будут бегать рядом и смотреть. Скажите мне, как вы за годы развития игры и движения вперёд начинайте наоборот деградировать в геймплейном аспекте? Ведь снова же, перейдя из как я думал ДИКО ЗАСКРИПТОВАНОЙ 19 ФИФЫ, я столкнулся с ещё более душной частью как ФИФА 22, где когда ты забиваешь гол, через 5-7 минут игрового времени тебе прилетает хорошо что один, но иногда и 2 в ответку, чтобы сбалансировать счёт, а твоя защита не отбирает мячи, специально создаёт дырки для соперника, твой вратарь 88 рейтинга вдруг становится мусором и начинает пропускать мячи из-за пределов штрафной, при чём даже парашютными ударами и низкой скорости полёта мяча... И ТИПА ЭТО ДОЛЖНО ПОДОГРЕТЬ У ТЕБЯ ИНТЕРЕС И ПРОДОЛЖАТЬ БОРОТЬСЯ С ТУПЫМ ГАНДИКАПОМ И СКРИПТАМИ. И снова же, всё это делают бомжи с рейтингом в 70. Ты чувствуешь как игра тебя давит и заставляет тратить свои нервы, особенно если ты нацелен на сухие матчи. Я не буду говорить про онлайн режим и донаты - потому что я игру покупал не для этого, но читая отзывы ниже, понимаю, что там ситуация с транзакциями и уже онлайн гандикапом далеко не лучше.… Expand

Both from a technical and gameplay standpoint, you can tell that EA has absolutely zero passion for this game and only really cares about how much money people are going to spend in the store, how many silly little coins they're going to buy.

    - Movement: your virtual pro / player feels like wading through treacle. Each action has a noticeable "intertia" or what others have referred to as "delay". This means that you don't really feel like you're in control of the game at any point. One of the more basic parts of *any* game is to make the player feel like what they do has an instant impact, so EA has already failed in that respect.

    - Passing. Again, they removed control from the player. When you move the L stick to aim a pass towards a particular player, a good two or three times out of ten it'll just pass it to a player who you're not aiming towards. It feels like the game has been put "on rails" in this way, which removes any satisfaction from actually making a good play.

    - Shooting. Long gone are the days where you had to out-skill your opponent, line up a good angle from inside the box and weight the shot perfectly in order to score. The meta is to just three bar a shot from 45 yards out since half the time it will laser-beam in to the top right hand corner. Where is the realism in that? On top of this, they've added some silly "traits" to virtual pros which takes them instantly to a five star weak foot with improved shooting which only makes this worse.

    - Game evolution. It's the same old contrived cookie-cutter **** that it was in the old games. There seems to be a rule where the chances of a goal are massively high in the first five minutes, just before half time, and in the ninetieth minute. This has been proven in the past but you can literally feel when your AI players / all of a sudden the turn of play changes on a sixpence and your opponent will miraculously score an equaliser despite previously being as useless as Anne Frank's drumkit.

    - General stability / Quality of life / ease of use: This is another really poor aspect of this "game". From the get go, the menu's are incredibly laggy (I'm on a high end PC) and your controller inputs are swallowed up. The UI doesn't really make any sense and flows / routes to get where you want to go are all over the place. One of the most EGREGIOUS parts of this game is that ANY loss of focus of the game window instantly results in you "forfeiting" the match. ORIGIN itself can spawn a notification which then makes you instantly lose a game which was "developed" by EA, who own Origin. Like whaaaat??. This just shows an absolute lack of care and passion for this game as a product.

    - Overall: Another soulless, lifeless, cringey, stinky corpse of a game that EA has **** out in their endless endeavour to take money out of your pockets. Buy this game if you're as thick as two short planks and want to wind yourself up.

    This game isn't really fun to play. Attacking is bad: obvious passes that make it to the player in real life are for some reason landing in the opponent's feet. Passes in depth are super bad most of the time you just cannot do a pass for your wingers if the space you are targeting is between the wing and the center of the field. The only pass that works at each try is to the wing directly near the line. So obviously 50% of the goals you take are from wingers outpacing your entire defense line from there and shooting diagonally into your top corner from a tight angle. Wow such realism!

    Not to mention the defense in that kind of situation that is almost impossible to handle because defenders suck at moving diagonally. For some reason when they start doing this they have a huge inertia and are left behind as soon as the guy changes direction even if you are trying to closely follow and anticipate its moves.

    Another thing, I don't know if that is the game trying to stupidly assist you or something but the defaults suck. If you have a player alone with lot of space in front of him and want to make a through ball it targets the closest player 50% of the time killing a huge opportunity.

    Pretty sure even if I had time for career and all the fuss I'd be even more disappointed. Just take a look at "pros" playing these, their games are filled with futsal goals in which they land insane series of tricks, like dribbling all defenders and the keeper. Is this what a "simulation" is supposed to look like?

    So in short, absolutely no improvement from last year and feels even worse. Go ahead and develop your next FIFAs EA, I don't care, I'm done buying your crap.    … Expand

Now, let's talk about the game... Graphics are okay, nothing special, nothing too bad, you can really find your sweet spot with the camera settings, but PS5/XSX graphics will be always better.
    Game-modes - every mode is playable, nothing too new about those, except some cuts in Volta and that new system where you can't drop down in FUT.
    Gameplay is mainly done for the "average players" (because of that), it can be slighty overwhelming for the brand-new players (this year my friend started with the FUT, so I really can understand).
    Now, let's talk for a bit about the FUT, 'cause that's the reason you will want to buy this game, otherwise you can go with 20 or 21, it's basically the same, believe me. FUT (same as every year) will be full of same cards. Usually it will be overpowered Premier League ('cause EA has special contracs with this league) and few overpowered individuals ('cause EA has special contracs with them too) - that isn't a theory, go and search for ambassadors and check their cards in the game.
    Other straight up retarded thing is that every single player (except GK) can easily score goals and do very powerful tackles, just have a few big players and others with high pace stats, it'll be enough for basically any division (although Elite and First can be kinda though if you find a good opponent). Every match you'll recieve at least 1 goal when no-brain & no-passing-skill player will make ridiculous pass in front of the goal and his teammate will score (it doesn't matter that you have 3 defenders there).
    Last thing, you definitely can sink a lot of time into this game, it's good game, but it won't reward your skill, football experiences from real life or even better team-building. There's a lot of events, that good and bad. Good, 'cause there's more cards and more choices for your team and bad, 'cause there'll be a lot of promos when **** players will get OP cards and you'll lose your nerves.    … Expand

    * Only in FUT - packs... The game is in AAA price and still, if you want to compete, without grinding, you'll have to pay for packs.
    * Online matches v1 - if you, or your opponent, are going to leave the game, before anyone would score... the game will be set as a draw and, if you're playing division rivals for example, you'll loose winning streak.
    * Online matches v2 - there are days (mainly weekends), where connection to servers is pretty bad. This and input lag would make you cry :)
    * Ground passes - very innacurate at times.

    Pros:
    * Lots of ways to construct an action.
    * Possibility to be on the bench in career mode.

    Despite its flaws FIFA 22 manages to find the balance point between simulation and fun. Although the fact some of its modes are far from perfect, it can offer the thrills that football gives to its fans, both online and locally. The much-discussed HyperMotion does its job perfectly and justifies the need for this year's edition, in contrast with previous years. If you consider yourself a football fan, there's no need to hesitate into buying this year's edition.

    After many hours spent on the next-gen version of FIFA 22 (PS5-Xbox Series) and its old-gen bent, the conclusion is there: PC, Xbox One and PS4 players will have a version with the flaws of the new generation, but cut off from its strengths.
