    People are knocking on this game, but I believe this is a bit harsh judgement on the franchise. I've played this game for about 30 hours now, and for the price point ($40) I think it's already been worth the money. I'd say its any overall improvement over the last couple years of FIFA on the PC. Gameplay is solid, the implementation of "seasons" with online head to head is a nicePeople are knocking on this game, but I believe this is a bit harsh judgement on the franchise.     FIFA 14 rocks!!!!! Its the best football game till date. Much more realistic features, improved gameplay than FIFA 13.Awesome game play much slower, which makes it more realistic. Some genuine improvements, particularly in terms of animation, physics, artificial intelligence, and Ultimate Team. Top notch presentation and the usual full suite of licences. Go for it guys.. Worth Buying the game.

    Fifa 2014. demonstrate the heart, the feeling of EA Canada Team. Excellent Work I love the strategy. It's amazing how a bad use of your players affects you in the second half of the match. The penalty system is very realistic if you make a mistake or the player is in bad condition it will probably fail.

    fifa 14 is the best game ever made its the best football game better than pes 2014 with 1000000 times and more and thanks to EA SPORTS that make this game better and wishing more best thing.

    best fifa game up to date. great game pace with more smooth ball control. insane player skills if u wana buy fifa in a low price of $20 i will provide it. m from bd nd here any game just costs $1. so even if i seel u in 3 i benifit 2 so buy from me. i will upload in a site and tada. chep nd fast

    Because so bad grade players? I disgust of this, a game with an arsenal of things to do, amazing graphics and a master gameplay. Fifa actually managed to overcome, compared with PES is 1,000 times better.

    I enjoyed every time with this game. The Career mode is very nice with the new scout system. We cant look-up for the exact rating to get the player we want (like Real). The match game is fun and the animation is good to see. Too bad this game graphic is so poor, no improvement from last series. But that negative i assume to make the game run smoother to run.

    From an experienced gamer and footballer: Best simulation out there, except for the Ignite version (PS4, XbOne). Great momentum and pace makes you feel what movement you should do next. If you're an experienced footballer, this game feels comfortable. If you never kicked a ball in your life, so many constraints are going to make you miss the unrealistic FIFA13 and previous. A step furtherFrom an experienced gamer and footballer: Best simulation out there, except for the Ignite version (PS4, XbOne). Great momentum and pace makes you feel what movement you should do next. A step further away from Arcade and a step nearer to the simulation we imagined while playing PES6. I'm loving the skills (realistic at last), the ball physics (very good, but still need work) and the player physics. Not so much the AI (specially goalkeepers). Aerial game needs improvement, but defense is awesome.

    FIFA 14 it's amazing with my adjusted gameplay sliders. It's just the perfect gameplay against my friends. Against the AI, I have other sliders.

    Animations are top notch, shooting is beyond superb, passing and crossing is pin point. Defence and tackling aren't the best ones, but that way the game is more offensive. Penalty kicks are great. Free kicks aren't what I've wanted. The    FIFA 14 it's amazing with my adjusted gameplay sliders. It's just the perfect gameplay against my friends.     Animations are top notch, shooting is beyond superb, passing and crossing is pin point. Defence and tackling aren't the best ones, but that way the game is more offensive. Penalty kicks are great. Free kicks aren't what I've wanted. The training intro before a match is so lame !!! It just kills the tension before an important match :( I'm the best player of all of my friends.

    FIFA 14 it's very editable through CM 14. I made my own leagues and tournaments in a very easy manner. Editing is a top option in football games.

    I hope FIFA 15 vs PES 15 would bring the best football game ever !    … Expand

    Okay, so this game deserves a review, since I've never wrote one before. Really, the User Score (but hey, It's Metacritic, so whatever) is really not fair. This year its by far the best current-gen FIFA ever made. The people that are about the poor gameplay, are the ones who always "turned and sprinted" their way through FIFA 13. This year it's slow pace is FIFAs best feature, thereOkay, so this game deserves a review, since I've never wrote one before. This year it's slow pace is FIFAs best feature, there really isn't a perfect play that always works and that is awesome, there is much more to a match than ever before. Well, the Career Mode isn't that great, but it never was (although the scouting system is pretty neat) but who buys FIFA wor the Singleplayer? The Multiplayer part is really great, Pro Club is much more challenging than last year, which makes it kind of frustrating too. But for me the real star of this game is the 2 Player Coop Season. With a good mate you can have fun for hours straight, and even if you're in the first division there is always the spur to make it to the top of the leaderboards. Finally competitive 2vs2 in FIFA. Bravo EA, thats something I've never said about that company before.

    I also kinda dig the new menus, the soundtrack and the atmosphere (just listen to the stadium anouncers!

    Why not 10? Because they weren't able to give us the "Ignite Engine" on the PC, but well that isn't a cause to give it a really low rating. I'm mostly a PC player, but god damn stop the "PC MASTERRACE!!"     … Expand

    I love this game and in between playing this and watching the Fifa World Cup, it has given me the insight to actually be able to play it on the highest difficulty. Beginner mode was a good start for me as I did not know how to play the game at all but after a while, one should truly up the difficulty to enjoy the complexity of the game itself.     I would however, like to see visible player contracts and/or an ability to manually trade a player to another team instead of being bolted down to a team; as if this is a game based off of reality...

    I'd also like to see a player start off with contract negotiations rather than just picking a team at the creation stage of career mode. Perhaps, even adding the Draft for Major League Soccer; they really need to do something to make Major League Soccer at least somewhat more appealing to hold a candle to the much more exciting and in depth English Leagues.

    Speaking of which.. more Leagues would be good as well....

    They left out the NASL and the USL-Pro Leagues for the US and they omitted the Skrill Leagues form England. IMO I enjoy the Skrill Leagues more as it gives me that Sunday League Futbol feel more and if my player ever gets really good, I'd feel like I actually earned that spot on Manchester United and didn't just slide into the job like Cristiano Ronaldo.    … Expand

    This game is really good but they need to improve the mode on Ultimate Team. What they need to do is upgrade all the players that the gamers have, not just the packs. However, this game is the best soccer game and deserves a high rating.

    I preordered FIfa 14 2 months before he came out and im not sad, the game is pefect.
    So much fun playing in 2 versus 2 mode im happy to preorder fifa 15 hopng will make me happy like Fifa 14.

    First off, big Fifa fan. Been playing since Fifa 2005. This year's edition really does make some important changes and generally refines gameplay overall.

    Nice game to entertain. The graphics is good and gameplay is quite good, looks really reality. It's too sad that Ignite Engine is not include in this game but that's OK.

IMO the players are more stiff & wooden, dribbling between the opponent is very difficult. The game is more random and unpredictable, making it very frustrating when playing online.     The game has some flaws especially in online mode. It is clearly shown in the online mode that many players take advantage of flaws in the game to benefit. I expected more from FIFA 14.

    A big change from fifa 13 but it has been a good change. Very realistic with great player movements although it is overall a much harder game than fifa 13. A great game!

Los partidos son mucho mas reales que en PES, si bien es cierto que PES cada ves se le acerca mas, aun está lejos de poder igualar a FIFA. PD: no deja de ser el mejor simulador de futbol actualmente, recomendado para quienes no tengan el FIFA13 o tengan dinero de sobra.     Fifa 14 is a great soccer game that anybody can pick up and play. Even if you don't know anything about the sport(Like Me). Once I started playing I slowly started figuring out all the rules and positions on my own. Very little learning curve. Once you get the hang of it you can start your own career as a player and work your way up the ranks.     Or you can play your career as a player and THEN a manager.
    The one gripe i have about this game would be that the AI needs to be more aggressive on offense.
    I didn't play Fifa 13 so i can't comment on any comparisons between the two. So as a first time player to the series I would recommend you give it a try if you like sports games in general. If you are Soccer(Football) fan than it's an easy call.
    It seems that it's the only sports title EA hasn't managed to screw up. As i have boycotted Madden,NASCAR and NBA Live.

    When you come out of the goal with your goalkeeper and want to get back the keeper moves extremely slowly instead of running back into the goal.
    Heading is way too overpowered and pace does not not count anymore. When Puyol can outrun Bale something is wrong. They also still didn't fix the impact engine, red cards when you don't make a    This game looks like a bad version of fifa 13.

    FIFA 13 was amazing but this one is worst, the players are too slow performing any action and don´t know how to defend, they don´t go after the ball and can´t place themselves in the best position. The graphics are the same for years and the commentaries are a joke. I shouldn't spend my money on this version.

    Let's start with the good side, which will take considerably less space than my rant about the game following this paragraph. EA has completely overhauled the menus in the game. It is very Windows 8-esque that takes some getting used to, but is ultimately an upgrade over previous versions. Graphics are okay (not on par with many other PC titles, but whatever), and you have more than enough options to customize your game, just like every year.

    But that's about it. I'll point out the downsides now:

    First, of course, is the issue that the PC version of the game doesn't get the next-gen engine, but is stuck with a current-gen console port instead. In addition, EA decided to create more "realism", slowing down the game a lot, which really only leads to frustration instead of immersion. And it's not even that the developer changed the pace to make the players run slower, but also the reaction times of the players are utterly laughable. Fair enough, top teams are just about playable, but if you want to play a League 2 team in career mode, you'll have to prepare back up controllers to be used in cases of wrecking them in frustration. Additionally, you'll have a player chill on the floor after a diving header or a loss of balance, seemingly ignorant to anything happening around him. If this wasn't annoying enough, somehow EA decided to completely leave the extremely dense AI as it was before, again leading to some extremely frustrating moments. You'll have players running around like headless chickens when ordering your team mates to pressure, and attackers running straight into you when you beat the last defender, of course messing up your chance. Attacking is very tedious in other ways as well, however, as the slow pace of the game will become a huge burden when playing weaker teams that will park the bus.

    It's not like the game is completely flawed, but come on, EA. I honestly thought they were going to pay more attention to PC after the recent versions have been on par with their console counterparts, but apparently not anymore.

    Clearly, you can get used to the game, but it takes a lot of patience (which many don't have) to get there.It's really a chore to play and it's honestly the first FIFA I've regretted to buy this far.    … Expand

    I’m not sure there is enough extra content to warrant a purchase from FIFA 13 unless you’re a diehard fan and want the up to date player lists, but if it’s been a couple of years since you’ve looked at a FIFA title, then there is no reason why you shouldn’t be getting FIFA 14.

    FIFA 14 is the reassuring central-defensive midfielder of the series. Dependable, rather than revelatory. Physical, tenacious and tight on space. It does the job without fuss, but also lacks flair.
