    Great Far cry romp that is in my opinion better than Far cry 5.
    Graphic are brilliant, game play is brilliant, story is a little meh, but who plays it for the story.
    Great fun and worth the money.
    Most that vote it down is because it's colourful or don't own the game and just wan to hate. The colours in the game really work to add atmosphere.

    Очень сильно удивился, сюжет крайне сильно затянул. Деление оружия на уровни поначалу показалось бредом, но потом сильно втянуло. В общем игра на удивление хороша.

    I have really enjoyed new dawn and if you liked Far Cry 5, you’re sure to find Far Cry New Dawn thoroughly satisfying as I did. One thing I noticed instead of all the go-here-and-shoot-bad-guys formula like with all in the series, New Dawn has incorporated puzzle elements, so when you stumble into one you can feel the game trying to do something different.

    Even adventuring around the    I have really enjoyed new dawn and if you liked Far Cry 5, you’re sure to find Far Cry New Dawn thoroughly satisfying as I did. One thing I noticed instead of all the go-here-and-shoot-bad-guys formula like with all in the series, New Dawn has incorporated puzzle elements, so when you stumble into one you can feel the game trying to do something different.

    Even adventuring around the world has enough to entice you to stay in Hope County, as well as liberating Outposts over and over again with progressive levels of difficulty, as you progress in the story the enemy behavior changes too. Fighting and problem solving simultaneously is new to the series which makes for great game play. I own every game in this series and was thinking I'll take a pass on New Dawn sure glad I didn't because it's turning out to be well worth my time and money.

    For thoughts of us who are well versed in the series and who has just played Far Cry 5 knowing that games ending gives us more details on characters we've already met which makes New Dawn even more enjoyable to play. I feel this is a must have for anyone who loves this series as I do plus lots of content to be had 12-15 hours or more..    … Expand

    Cons, this game could be done even better! By adding some more bosses, develop the theme of mutant animals, add weapon effects like in Bordelrands.

    In fact, an excellent and high-quality experiment with the series, my advise for you is to ignore those bad fake reviews and try the game for yourself.

    Но вот что скажу, играл во все части, прошел все части FC и спин-оффы.

    Игра нереально затянула и наиграл 20 часов за 3 дня.

    Охренительное и разнообразное оружие, сильные мобы, новые механики игры, неплохой сюжет, отличная графика.

    Минусы, эту игру можно было сделать еще круче! Добавить больше боссов, развить тему мутантов зверей дальше, добавить оружие по типу bordelrands.

    По факту отличный и качественный эксперимент с серией, советую не вестить на высеры и попробовать игру самому.    … Expand

    I bought this game only because I wanted to know what happened to Seed and the deputy. The game was extremely fun, I loved the new game elements, the expeditions, and the level grinding too.
    The only problem with this game is that it's too short, the main story can be completed in about 10 hours.

    i finished this game twice

    the world and its secrets were really impressive it was so nice to find their notes in different parts of the map and remember from far cry 5.

    the story sucks, I write by keeping it apart :)

    I know everyone hate this game, but it's one of the bests games i've ever played. 18 years later after Far Cry 5 in New Dawn looks gorgeous.

    Ich habe Far Cry 5 schon in den Himmel gelobt und findealles in New Dawn nochmal etwas besser gemacht. Medi-Kits und Würfgeschosse einfach im Waffenrad beim Laufen herstellen, man hat gefühlt unendlich Materialien, ein sehr gutes Waffenstufen-System, ausballancierter Schwierigkeitsgrad, sehr gut mit den Außenposten umgesetzt und die Expeditonen sind    Für mich ein vollwertiges Far Cry!

    Ich habe Far Cry 5 schon in den Himmel gelobt und findealles in New Dawn nochmal etwas besser gemacht. Medi-Kits und Würfgeschosse einfach im Waffenrad beim Laufen herstellen, man hat gefühlt unendlich Materialien, ein sehr gutes Waffenstufen-System, ausballancierter Schwierigkeitsgrad, sehr gut mit den Außenposten umgesetzt und die Expeditonen sind ebenfalls eine Klasse Idee gewesen, da kommt man nochmal an Orte die man über die normale Open World nicht erreichen kann.

    Man kann auch wieder entscheiden wie man spielt, ich mag Stealth eigentlich überhaupt nicht aber in Far Cry habe ich da immer mal wieder tatsächlich Bock drauf. Das Menü wurde nochmal verbessert, man levelt die Basis, man levelt seine Begleiter hoch, nach 15 und 40 Abschüssen, ok sie leveln sich selber hoch aber man sollte sie am Anfang erstmal alle bis sie 15 Kills haben mitnehmen, weil es ja auch schwieriger wird und das erste Upgrade denen schon sehr hilft bzw sie gut stärkt. Die Skillpunkte sind überhaupt nicht knapp, es gibt 10 X 3 für die Schatzsuchen wie man sie auch den Prepper Verstecken von Far Cry 5 kennt und genügend durch Herausforderungen, man muss sie sich gar nicht durchlesen, macht man fast alles automatisch, a und zu ggf. mal die Waffenklasse wechseln, das reicht, ansonsten gibt's auch noch durch Expeditionsabschlüsse Skillpunkte, die sind nach Stufe 3 unendlich wiederholbar und machen echt Spaß.

    Ich weiß nicht was viele an der Story auszusetzen haben, das Spiel ist zwar etwas kürzer, wenn man alle Expeditionen und Außenposten auf allen Stufen macht, wobei die zwei Aktivitäten jetzt immer sehr schnell vorrüber sind, kommt man auf eine Spielzeit von 20 - 25 Stunden. Die Story ist GUT, die Zwillinge sind richtige Bada**e und haben eine gute Vertonung, ich empfehle auf jeden Fall vor diesem Spiel Far Cry 5 zu spielen, ich habe mich immer sehr gefreut, wenn ich etwas wiedererkannt habe und es ist sehr spannend wie sich die Charaktere verändert haben, ein super Spiel! Ich habe nichts zu bemägeln, das einzige was man machen könnte, wäre den Speicherpunkt nach Abschluss der Story nach dem Kampf der Zwillinge zu setzen, damit man die Chance hat jede Entscheidung einmal auszuwählen.     I enjoyed it way more than I thought I would. Way better story than FC5, way better moments, everything felt more meaningful, even though it was too short. The art direction is marvelous, superb game to look at.

    After Far Cry 5 I didn't have much hope for New Dawn, not sure what everyones problems is I have ultra setting @ 107fps average. Story is interesting and overall feels a lot more like Far Cry again. Visuals and graphics are magical and the game play is extremely fun. Everyone **** like this we will end up with another FC5 please stop

    But please Ubisoft, remove this RPG-like gameplay, removing HP bars, numbers when shotting people, hard to kill enemies and no saw launchers on next games, please.    … Expand

    This is my 3rd Far Cry experience and so I'm quite satisfied with it. The game is cheaper than it's other parts since it's a spin-off and not a Far Cry 6 game.
    However, the gameplay, graphics, and plot were so great! It was simply awesome and interesting + saddening to see Hope County after the Nuclear end of the world.

    The game was good and I had a blast. I played it in normal difficulty and have to admit that even that felt like easy difficulty for me after reaching a certain part in the game. I might switch it up to the hardcore difficulty.

    There's not a lot of game time in this spin-off, seeing as there are only 22 Story missions and only 8 side missions. But the new systems they implemented on outposts and enemies are quite cool and I've already grown fond of them hoping they make a return in the next installment.
    The game was so much fun that I played it 3 days in a row without touching my other games AT ALL.

    There are microtransactions in the game, but they are quite useless since you can grind everything AND it doesn't even take that long. ''Prestige'' is the status for some weapons and vehicles which makes them buyable with the new currency, but they are completely buyable with in-game resources and thus grinding.

    The weapons were creative and they had a fun descriptions of them. I loved the neon color scheme the game had (Rage 2 and Fallout 76 also have a neon color focus, but those games are well known to have sucked)

    Buy it and support Ubisoft since they made a fun experience once again and a lovely destroyed Hope County map for us to explore yet again!    … Expand

    I treated this game as an expansion for Far cry 5 with a twist (and bought it priced as such). That is exactly what i got and more. Personally I thought it was a massive improvement over FC5, if only there was more of it.

    I can't get about what bad optimizaion people are talking. The game handles constant 60 fps+ on 4k@ultra settings using RTX2080 without single stutter/lag. In same time oldie GTX970 handles 45+fps on 1080p@ultra
    Metro Exodus and AC:Odyssey have a lot worse optimization.
    The game is fun. I played all Far Cry games, and it feels good. Just forget that you played FC5:)

    Had a blast with New Dawn; I was pleasantly surprised with the quality-of-life improvements to the gameplay and the UI. The voice acting was great, and the world looks phenomenal.

    As always, you have to get into the game and get over the mental hurdle of it beeing an ordinary Far Cry without much innovation. In the end, it's the better Far Cry 5, with more beautiful and colorful graphics, great HDR effects, and less story- and mission overloaded. So it's only half a Far Cry in terms of mapsize and design, missions, weapons and story depth, but I personally enjoy itAs always, you have to get into the game and get over the mental hurdle of it beeing an ordinary Far Cry without much innovation. In the end, it's the better Far Cry 5, with more beautiful and colorful graphics, great HDR effects, and less story- and mission overloaded. So it's only half a Far Cry in terms of mapsize and design, missions, weapons and story depth, but I personally enjoy it more than the main game FC5, just because it is NOT so cluttered.

    Btw: Game works fluffy on a GTX 1080 and 1440p with FPS arround 70-80.    … Expand

    A little more cartoony (console-ish) than Far Cry 5, but still entertaining, even if the humor sometimes gets in the way of immersion.

    If I'd paid full price for this at release I'd probably score it lower, but at current Steam prices I see no reason to doc points for being only 3/4 of a new game.

Both games have very similar gameplay and graphics (FCND is a bit more slick, but it is one year newer): story missions, side missions, loot missions, soldiers for hire etc. I've also noticed that FCND takes a page or two from Fallout 4 in terms of the post apocalyptic universe, settlement creation, workbenches, and evenPretty simple: if you like Far Cry 5, you'll like Far Cry New Dawn. Both games have very similar gameplay and graphics (FCND is a bit more slick, but it is one year newer): story missions, side missions, loot missions, soldiers for hire etc. I've also noticed that FCND takes a page or two from Fallout 4 in terms of the post apocalyptic universe, settlement creation, workbenches, and even more of an RPG flexible character design...but it's not necessarily a bad thing, especially if you're a Fallout fan.

    All in all, fun FPS/Action/Stealth game that can be played solo or co-op.    … Expand

    Open world shooter, you can treat it as a large DLC to Far Cry 5. If you like Far Cry 5, you will be happy to find a very nice post apocalyptic setup of a familiar map. With a very colorful aesthetics. The game adds replayable arenas and captured outposts.

    As a big fan of Far Cry 5, I welcome this one, following the same overall formula: freedom of action in between story telling, with    Open world shooter, you can treat it as a large DLC to Far Cry 5. If you like Far Cry 5, you will be happy to find a very nice post apocalyptic setup of a familiar map. With a very colorful aesthetics. The game adds replayable arenas and captured outposts.

    As a big fan of Far Cry 5, I welcome this one, following the same overall formula: freedom of action in between story telling, with some polishness around crafting and replayability.    … Expand

    I had a lot of fun with this game, definitely worth the less than usual AAA price. I think Ubisoft's Far Cry formula is great fun, and this game's light RPG mechanics and superpower stuff along with the unusually colourful post apocalyptic setting made it much more interesting than the game it's borrowing it's landscape from. Honestly my favourite Far Cry experience since Blood Dragon.

    New Dawn is ubisoft trying harder, don't get me wrong the series needs a shake up but as a stop gap, stand alone expansion this game get's quite a lot right.

    Starting with the post apocalypse....

    The gun play is identical, with slightly more entertaining weapon styles, not a bad thing as that element of gameplay was always competent anyway, the biggest change for me was the environment, far from the Fallout/Metro vision of the apocalypse this is set in the superbloom, and it's beautiful, full of vegetation and flora and turquoise water with pink neon deer...everything I didn't realise I was missing in my life. When you add in a much improved HDR implementation and an improved lighting system you end up with one of the most impressive environments I've seen yet in a videogame, and it's this dramatically more interesting environment that has me more engaged with the experience, i know it's the same map but it doesn't feel like it, and the area's that do, the bombed out remains of locales visited during the previous game are interesting to revisit, to see in their state of sad disrepair..

    In conclusion, better environment and use of colour liven up the experience dramatically, the weapons are a little more interesting and so far the game moves at a slightly brisker pace, i also like the settlement mechanic and base building elements this time around, along with the excursion missions, lots of little improvements that taken as a whole make a relatively by the numbers fps feel a little more exciting and raise it above it's predecessors.    … Expand

    It strays pretty far from the rest of the franchise in that it has a lot more RPG elements than the others. There is the usual perk tree, but you can upgrade some perks several times. The same is true for the guns, which you first craft, and then upgrade to do higher damage by using more materials.     The story far surpasses Far Cry 5 with more fleshed out characters who are given a back story, albeit a short one, but still with emotional depth. It also concludes the story from the previous game in a satisfying way.

    While it uses a part of the map from Far Cry 5 it is barely recognizable. Even though only 17 years have passed since the nuclear apocalypse everything has drastically decayed (for some reason) and there were only a few places I could clearly identify from their glory days.

    I don't have much negative to say, but the thing that bugged me the most were the followers. There are eight in total, out of which six are human and two are animals, a dog and a boar. All the human followers have only a few lines of dialog which they keep repeating, they attack when I don't want them to and and ignore enemies when I need help. They are slow to get in a vehicle with me and several tend to to use attacks that turn the battlefield into a raging fire inferno which is incredibly annoying. The animals are far better and have really useful perks to boot.

    The price of the game is also a detractor with two thirds of the price of the predecessor, but only one third of the content.    … Expand

Uma das minhas maiores criticas ao Far Cry 5 foi sobre sua    Far Cry New Dawn é o jogo que Far Cry 5 deveria ter sido.

    O jogo brilha em dois aspectos: Gameplay e Gráficos. A mecânica do jogo traz uma sensação que eu não tinha no jogo antecessor: Progresso. Aqui você começa fraco, tendo de coletar muitos recursos e usar da estrategia para dominar os postos - joguei na dificuldade Hard. Uma das minhas maiores criticas ao Far Cry 5 foi sobre sua dificuldade, que além de ser facílima, não trazia a sensação de "Melhoria". Já aqui há nível para os inimigos e as armas.

    Os gráficos são lindíssimos, com um nível de detalhes enorme e uma paleta de cores, no minimo, apaixonável. Infelizmente o jogo não é lá otimizado, mas nada que te impeça de jogar.

    A historia é fraquíssima e assim como no primeiro jogo, tinha um enorme potencial. Os personagens são mortos, com motivações incompreensíveis; os diálogos são horrorosos e o senso de drama abordado no jogo é digno de risadas. Eu realmente queria saber quem leu e revisou esse roteiro.

    Quanto aos bugs, não presenciei nenhum. Houve um Crash que travou todo meu PC, mas vindo da Ubi, nem me surpreendi. E eu não poderia deixar de falar: as boss fight desse jogo são horríveis, pois não exigem habilidade/inteligencia do player. É só ficar dando tiro até descer a barra gigantesca de vida do "boss" - além de serem bem desinspiradas.

    Porém, apesar dos problemas acima, é um bom jogo, mas que fique claro que estou analisando-o como uma DLC, até porque usa o mesmo MapDesign do FC5    … Expand

    A revamped (and shorter) map of Far Cry 5 after the FC5 events. Well, I had the curiosity to try it out and being a fan of post-ap games, I really liked it.
    The plot didn't make any sense but this game was supposed to be a DLC from FC5 so I was prepared for a very short story and just little things to do. In the end I was pretty satisfied.

    Always liked the idea of FC in the post apocalypse, I like the game's aesthetic and design as well, I just wish some elements weren't dumbed down from FC5 like being able to use drugs, skinning animations etc. Could also use more random events variety and the story is way too short and a bit underwhelming at the end.

    Good gameplay, poor story. Fair amount of content for the price paid.

    Since I didn't play FC5 I'm fine with getting a recycled game. Liberating outposts is as fun as ever.

    This is a non-memorable great shooter with a lot of freedom coming from it's open world roots, with annoying characters, out-of-place pink colors and about 20 hours of gameplay.

    My biggest grip with the game is that it really should've just been a part of Far Cry 5, which I thought was woefully short in duration. The way they setup the story progression in FC5 lent itself to unintentionally forcing the story along at a rather remarkable pace. For example, blowing up an enemy truck would earn you "resistance points" (or something to that effect), and once you'd accumulated enough, you'd be cutscene hijacked into a boss battle. It took but a small number of "resistance points" to get thrust into a "boss battle," and blowing up enemy convoys was a natural consequence of getting from point A to point B, so before you knew it, the game was over. So they dispensed with this mechanic in Far Cry: New Dawn, which was great - I can now kill as many people as I want and not fear accelerating the game's progress before I'm satisfied that I've sufficiently ambled about the map. But I'm torqued that I had to pay money for what really should've been included in the first game. What Ubisoft did here would be the equivalent of Rockstar Games charging $40.00 for the Epilogue to RDR2.    … Expand

    Storytelling is pretty good in this one without the forced interventions that were criticized in FC5. I don't think they could have done much more with it without it getting tedious.     The typical FC5 grind content is there anyway - only thing missing: Clutch Nixon challenges.

    I've played some 11h to get to the ending with quite some grindy stuff in between - which is required though for the weapon upgrades.

    Regarding some concerns that I had myself:
    - It feels like a mix of a really good add-on and a sequel, hence the pricing which is justified in my opinion.
    - The map is completely reworked, not just recycled
    - It's not just pink or comic style, it actually looks like Annihilation (Natalie Portman movie), especially due to the deer. First scene I was like: This looks exactly like Annihilation
    - Story was way better than expected

    Some cons:
    - at times it feels unpolished, especially in regards to AI (they keep complaining about almost dying without there being any enemy in sight)
    - Friendly AI will try to run in front of your car every time you approach from afar. Damn insurance scammers
    - Boss fights were a real nuissance.
    - Identity of The Judge is not revealed (though it's somewhat clear who he is due to how Joseph describes hin) - not even really a con, it's fine - I just wanted to be certain

    So, what's there to do in FC5:
    Years after the bombs fell, people came out of their shelters, built up something, then came the highwaymen and destroyed everything.
    They asked you and your fellas for help, you came, they attacked you - everything goes to crap - you have to rebuild.

    In between you have to rescue people, upgrade your base, retake/scavenge outposts,
    clear out looting sites, do cache runs and new to it are expeditions.
    Expeditions are instanced outposts where you need to go in, steal a package, get out. You'll need those for the advanced crafting material stuff.

    Expeditions, as well as outposts can be redone with the next time always being harder.

    There isn't much point in fishing/hunting this time around as crafting doesn't require those items for the most part.

    All in all - if you liked FC5 - you will want to get your hands on this. Maybe wait for a sale if you feel like it's too expensive but if you are interested in the whole Joseph Seed storyline, you want to get this at some point.    … Expand

They went for a more arcade-ish style. For instance, the opponents have a displayed Health Bar aswell as a level indicator (1, 2, 3 or Elite). It also shows the damage you do, and whether you crit (headshotsOverall im pretty satisfied with the game for the price i got it at (Just above €15). They also added a few new weapon types, such as the Saw Launcher. I personally found it pretty entertaining to play around with the Elite version of the gun, as it has a Homing-in and Boomerang mode. The other weapons also has Post Apocalyptic themes (Cans as silencers etc.), which is a nice little detail.
    Another thing they added is expeditions, basically extra missions irrelevant to the main story, that can yield you a lot of resources. And they take place at other locations than the campaign map, which is really nice for a change.
    The game has two things though that bugged me throughout the game. For one, the system they use at outposts and expeditions. You're forced to play it against level 1 enemies to unlock level 2, then beat that to play it vs. level 3/elite enemies. It makes the game repetitive, and when you run around with endgame gear, it feels like a waste of time to do level 1 and 2.
    Secondly, the way helmets work are kinda dumb imo. It is basicly impossible to one-shot an enemy with a helmet in the head (As your first shot just removes their helmet), unless you use penetrating ammo. However, provided that your weapon deals enough damage, you can easily one-shot them in the Torso-area. So basically, you're getting punished for doing headshots, and rewarded for Torso-shots. It should also be mentioned that it's not just heavy units who wear helmets, it's a very large portion of the opponents, atleast amongst the higher levels.
    Overall, a fine, good looking game with approximately 15 hours of play time. Obviously, i understand that people who paid the €45 for this on Steam are disappointed. But honestly, paying that much without doing any research is entirely their own fault, kinda sad it has to ruin the score of a decent game.    … Expand

    I think I've never been this split about what I think about a game.
    Some things are really good, some things are horrible. Some of the few annoying bugs from FC5 are still present, while the awful progression from FC5 isn't ..in the same way at least.

    I almost deleted the game already at the start, as you don't select gender, you select 'Body Type' now in Ubi games

    The weapon system with it's old post-apocalyptic 'road warrior' look could've been great, if one were able to modify them instead of crafting a pre-made 'custom' weapon.
    A real immersion killer for Co-Op and people who like to actually customize their arsenal to fit the character they make to fill the gap of a 'real' protagonist.

    The game-world itself actually looks quite good, but they still use the same 300 meters+ and things randomly respawn.

    I can't give it less then a 5, as ..well, killing is fun in the game. Nor can I give it more then a 7 since they dropped the ball so many times, where they could've made it almost a masterpiece.

    This Game is a good game and I don't understand what people are complaining about. The last fight though were trash. The boss could take as much as 1 bilion bullets and wont fall. It was just stupid and WAAAAY unrealistic. Therefore I gave it 7/10 because the ending should always be well made. Otherwise the game is an 8/10 in general for a Far Cry lover.

    My only complaint is that Ubisoft still does not allow you to drive with a third person view which is very irritating and stupid. How hard is it to give that option darn you Ubisoft.    … Expand

    The villains, Mickey and Lou and the offspring of a familiar face, were great, but could have been so much better with more development. Due to little screen time, you don't really get the feeling these characters were given a broad canvas, and are thoroughly eclipsed by the likes of Vaas in Far Cry 3.

    What I did like were the insane weapons offered, and the descriptions to go along with them. There are plenty of modifications possible and a lot of them add to the experience. I had a good laugh at the multicolored flamethrower and variousthemes, and dressing up your character in the Blood Dragon theme was a nice touch.

    That being said, the campaigns start to feel repetitive. It's about time Far Cry pulls a fat Assassin's Creed: Origins and starts to figure out where it's headed. These are not bad games, and anyone rating this below a 5 seems unreasonable, but it's about time Ubi starts taking these warnings seriously and should start to rethink the current formula.    … Expand

    i liked it, mostly for how smooth it runs. no bugs and super high fps. bad guys don't matter just like the bad guys in the last game. bad guys are lame and not menacing or entertaining at all.

    Unfortunately, there is also a lot not to like, here. The scenery is too fuchsia, courtesy of the mutant flowers spawning everywhere. Driving cars is a chore, given that your eyes are positioned on a level with the cockpit, preventing you from seeing where you are going – just use 3rd person vehicles, it’s much better. Fire is annoying, as is fishing. Certain weapons are great, other are kind of pointless.
    Most of all, I hated most story missions. I know it’s a FC trademark, but I’m sick&tired of being stripped of all weapons and having to perform some highly unlikely escape sequence. The game forces certain idiotic decisions on you, putting you at the mercy of your enemies again and again.
    The final confrontation with the main antagonists gives new meaning to the term “bullet sponge”. Tank-resistant enemies with super-powered weapons (a flame thrower on steroids – of course the enemy is fireproof). You are forced to fight blind, while enemies can see perfectly well through the smoke. Many enemies help out the main opponents, but most of all, what I really hated the most, is a infinite sequence of guard dogs attacking you every few seconds, preventing you from landing the hundreds of hits you need to take the sponge down.
    I don’t like games that are too easy, and FCND is ok on the difficult setting. This battle, on the other hand, did not make me feel powerful but rather just a chump, like a fly fighting King Kong. Not impossibly difficult, mind me, nowhere near souls boss-difficult, but still very annoying.
    All in all, the game is ok. I had fun taking and retaking the various outposts and unlocking weapons and equipment. After all, it’s what every FC does; in this case, the map is smaller and the story less refined, but still worth a go, at a reduced price.    … Expand

    If you are a fan of the franchise and really liked the 5th entry then I think you should play this entry. It provides a good epilogue for some characters from the 5th game and the gameplay has some light rpg elements that can turn some people off but honestly I think they're done well.

    So yea, the game is not as good as I expected, but it’s mostly fine, the rpg style system was ok for me but the storyline was toooo short, I passed the game in 2 days, it’s noy a must-play game, but FAR-CRY players will like the post apocalyptic setting

    its definitely not a masterpiece but its a good far cry game and it doesn't deserve the level of hate its getting.
    the graphics are amazing on my pc and the gun play is on point the story didn't really catch me I enjoyed the rpg elements but by mid game I felt like Rambo Jesus the hunting mechanics are garbage and    if you like far cry 5 I think you will enjoy this game I know I did.

    Очень порадовала обстановка вокруг все довольно красиво и наполнено жизнью.

    Сюжет тут получился в принципе таким же как и в остальных частях ибо Far Cry, вот тебе антагонист иди разберись с ним, ничего нового. Все осталось по большей части без изменения, но какие же они мерзотные эти две сестры, я не разу в серии Far Cry не получал столько наслаждения от их убийства антагонистов, скажу более мне обычно антагонисты нравились в серии Far Cry тут же все иначе, я прям ждал что бы прикончить их, они так сильно раздражали насколько это только возможно — поведением, логикой, действиями, да всем, выпендриваться настолько много насколько это только возможно «все наше».

    В заключение скажу, что данная часть или аддон, не суть важна, можно назвать неплохой. Даже не знаю что так поливают ее грязью. Ибо со своей основной задачей как стрелялкой она справилась на ура. Из всего вышесказанного ставлю 7 баллов, так как игрой я насладился с полна, давно я не наслаждался серией Far Cry в полной мере как этой.    … Expand

    If you close your eyes you can get through it, I got through it by closing my eyes to the horrible characters, it's only for the story, it's crap.

I prefer Ubisoft worked hard to make it feel new . . .just remove the giant open world and move the contrast up and here is the new dawn for you . . we have the co-op mode in far cry new dawn which is hours of fun with your friends. Mickey and Lou are the enemies of this game (ya not Joseph Seed no spoilers). game is an open world as all the far cry games and the main aim of the game is to upgrade prosperity ( the home base in the game) and survive in the post-apocalyptic world defending us from the highwaymen. As always the things don't go as planned and we have many obstacles in our way with side missions to move forward in the game. The storyline of FarCry new dawn is as interactive and interesting as all the FarCry games this game too with 8 hours of gameplay (approx) doesn't disappoint you at all. FarCry 5 being the start of an apocalyptic world, New dawn is its post version although the map is almost the same just a little shorter the colors of the game as compared to Far Cry 5 is eye blazing sharp and colorful, we can see tons of new guns which are kinda made from scraped out guns (As we can see on the trailer too) New dawn is pretty exciting to play and Ubisoft using the new Duniya engine has leveled up its physics game and did a pretty good job as per my view. I Will wait for Far Cry 6 to realize and check up on what new things Ubisoft has up its sleeve for now new dawn is a 7 out of 10 for me… Expand

    How is this a separate game? Looks more like a DLC to FC5. The plot is dumb, there was a potential for the plot to be way more enjoyable. In this game you basically farm resources to get a tier 3 gun to be able to kill at least something (I doubt that anyone has ever tried to craft tier 4).

    I'm not too fussed about the overall accuracy of what the post apocalypse was supposed to look like so soon after but I was able to get through the game on "tough" mode (which is the middle option, so don't mistake that for anything other than normal mode) in 11 hours. That's also with clearing all outposts at least once and doing a bunch of expeditions. I was easiy able to upgrade my base to the max level with a bunch of high level stuff.

    You also get a shotgun if you've completed far cry 5 (at least on UPlay anyway) which is OP as **** when you unlock rank 2 weapons (again, you can do this quite early on).

    But the game works, it runs well there are no broken mission lines, no animation bugs or anything game breaking. The bright ambiance use gives a nice effect. If there's one thing that Far Cry is known for now it's the protagonists and Vaas has always been a tough job to follow. I'd give the twins a 6.5/10.

    I doubt most of the people posting here have even played the game. Looks like it's getting review bombed for no reason. I think it's fun, it looks really good, and the new weapons can be a blast to use. That said, it is repetitive, like most Far Cry games, but if you don't mind that, I think you're going to have fun.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. in **** Same **** you play as Captain America after he accidentally presses the nuclear launch button after the events on Fat Cry® 5 Redneck's Revenge. in this game, you fight against bad guys called Highfiveman lead by two twin sisters Mickey Mouse and Lou. but you can't do this alone (actually you can if you unlock weaponized chopper in-game) you need the help of your friends and your friends need you because they are too weak and has no proper training of using a machine gun. with your pal Thanos Rush B, you can fight against those hooligans! and then they kill your pal in 3 hours of the game and all the job of rebuilding this gay-ass community is up to you again. you capture holocaust camps, save the specialist so you can upgrade your base to progress trough game, free war prisoners and the same **** activities from other Ubi**** games. you find Joseph Kony who also known as your lost father who go-to store for the new version of bible form papa john's 30 years ago and then get drunk started a cult in Montana's unknown county. he gives you the power of alcohol and belt so you can stop those highfiveman throwing stones to your base every night. his adopted son Ethan Bradberry betrays his stepfather and gives Mickey Mouse and Lou a chance to attack the town of stoners. when you eventually defeat twins with the power of "Wrath and Drugs".Mickey dies and... wait was it Lou or her sister? well, whatever they are most forgettable villains after the Dull from Far From Civilization® 4.2 Cave Guys.     И ещё я уже играю пару дней, у меня ~18k этанола и я просто не понимаю куда его тратить! Может я что-то не понимаю, но зачем вводить такую валюту которая фармиться со всего подряд и которую некуда девать?    … Expand

    I liked this game and disliked it at the same time. I liked the graphics, It's good, but slightly worse than in a previous game. I really liked the whole line of quests with , especially in those moments when the protagonist fell into "euphoria", since it was visually beautiful.
    But everything else was bad. Something more, something less.
    "Arrows": Outposts and other Ubisoft things that    I liked this game and disliked it at the same time. I liked the graphics, It's good, but slightly worse than in a previous game.     "Arrows": Outposts and other Ubisoft things that rules such game-play(I understand why gamers complain on that, this thing goes from game to game. but I like to conquer those outposts, so for me it wasn't a big problem). Small visual glitches and crawling out of the textures by NPCs. And almost all music is normal average Far Cry music, but when it's come to conquer the outpost or another enemy structure - "Awful acid rave". This is not a music, but a tasteless cacophony of electric sounds with girlish voice from some digital hell.
    "Fire Arrows": No weapon customization(You cannot change anything in the weapon itself, only crafting of a new one of higher level from resources. And any weapon of any enemy level will be the most mediocre, so after opening a level 2 weapon, picking up a trophy weapon is absolutely pointless). Skills in the form of a simple grid, without any visual form. And art of them are waste of skill points(like reloading while aiming, yeah, a very important ability). I don't like that Ubisoft changed ammo amount from crafting to skill level, it's not interesting. You have hunting only for crafting(Metal resources for animal skin, what?). Pink post-apocalypse(It's not very bad, bud differently not suits for game's theme... glamour apocalyptic raiders).
    "Explosive arrows": Enemy and item levels are overly foolish(rocket launcher LVL 1 didn't even scratch animal LVL 3, WTF?). The protagonist is a faceless puppet(I'm already wildly tired of this idiotic pattern of giving the player such a character and making him listen to monologues throughout the game. Very emotional, one-sided monologues with hints that the protagonist seems to be answering something. Mentally, I guess). And at last the most heavy mistake on my opinion:
    THE ENEMY AGAIN CONSTANTLY CATCHES AND LETS GO THE PLAYER(Seriously? Far Cry 3, 4, 5, ND - Every time the same sh*t: They catch him - tell some flat jokes - let him go. Why-y-y-y-y?). And another banal cliché about a sad story from the past of the Antagonists, which should squeeze tears and sighs from the players. Who even decided this should work? First, these rabid sisters terrorize the valley, kill, destroy, blow up everything... and then you have to sympathize them? Seriously? Smells like hundreds of third-rate movies with villains like this.
    ...I understand perfectly why this game is criticized by so many, it deserves it in almost everything. But if it were just a DLC, and not a full-fledged stand-alone game at full price, I think the evaluation and criticism would be more lenient.     22 сюжетных задания. Сюжет слабенький. Это просто развёрнутый эпилог FC5 с несколькими новыми деталями.

    Слабее всего завязка.
    Антагонисты нелепые, эмоций кроме недоумения не вызывают. Как и новые герои, не успеваешь хоть как-то привыкнуть и проникнутся.
    Старые герои - другое дело. Их судьба интересна, они выглядят колоритнее новых.
    Несмотря на слабую завязку, концовка оказалась неплохой, пробирающей.
    Остались какие-то незакрытые вопросы, но проблема открытой концовки Far Cry 5 была решена.

    Что касается иных нововведений, то гринд запчастей и грабёж аванпостов необходим для улучшения базы и крафта.
    Для улучшения мастерских, верстаков, больниц необходим спирт. Улучшая больницу, игрок увеличивает здоровье. Улучшая лабораторию, получает доступ ко взрывным боеприпасам. Улучшая мастерскую и верстаки, получает возможность делать оружие / машины из собранных материалов.

    Другое нововведение - система уровней. Как я уже писал, вылазки и аванпосты можно производить повторно, каждый раз увеличивая уровень вплоть до трёх (далее бесконечно). Но на самом деле этих уровней четыре и первым идёт нулевой. Каждый уровень представлен своим цветом по типу ММО.
    0 - Белый. 1 - Синий. 2 - Фиолетовый. 3 - Золотой. Чем больше уровень - тем мощнее оружие. Аналогично с врагами, которые бывают белыми, синими, фиолетовыми и золотыми. Чем выше уровень врага, тем сложнее его убить оружием уровнем ниже. И проще оружием уровнем выше. Так по туловищу золотого врага можно выпустить все патроны из всего оружия первого уровня и не убить. К счастью, разработчики не стали идти по пути маразма до конца и поэтому для убийства даже такого противника достаточно поломать его шлем и прострелить голову, что летально даже с самым простым оружием.

    Учитывая вышеперечисленное, можно сказать, что прощупывание почвы со стороны Ubisoft и завершение Far Cry 5 - это хорошо.
    Но плохо то, что аддон идет по цене игры. Плохо, что время увеличивается за счёт повторений. Огорчает и кризис сюжетных идей.

    - This is the first direct sequel in the franchise which is handled fairly well. It is nice to see old character and how they have changed over 17 years. Finding out what happened to the protagonist and antagonist of Farcry 5 was fun.
    - The gun play just like Farcry 5 is rather satisfying and shooting enemies always feels great with a nice head shot sound.
    - Eden's Gate part in the story is fun and interesting to explore especially when coming across characters like the father.
    - performance, just like 5, is amazing compared to 4 which was poorly optimized

    Negatives:
    - THE **** TWINS, like seriously, this is how pathetic the Farcry villains have become? They are soo terribly written and barely have any screen time at all. We know little about there back story and they dont really do anything or have a reason for attacking prosperity in the first place apart from "OH WE'RE THE BAD GUYS WE'VE COME TO KILL AND STEAL LOL". There is some attempt at the end to make you feel any kind of emotion towards them but they simply are not fleshed out enough.
    - Content is another big problem, it may be a spin of with a lower price tag but there is still not enough in the game to justify even that price. The map is halved only featuring Holland Valley, half of the Hendbane and what is left of the white tail mountains just straight up doesn't count due to the lack of anything interesting there. I would say its fair to compare this to Primal. And just to show how little this game has, it took me 20 hours roughly to 100% primal whereas it took me 9 hours to 100% New Dawn. There are barely any side quests or places to explore outside of the main story.
    - Weapons for some reason can't be customized.
    - Missed opportunities are also a big saw spot for this game and perhaps my biggest problem with the game, a good amount of places cannot visited like faith's gate or St. Francis Veterans Center which is a huge bummer. What ever happened to the whitetails is not explained, some things from 5 such as the wreckage from he ending run just straight up aren't in the game at all.

    Overall FarCry New Dawn is an enjoyable experience for about 5 hours before becoming a pretty boring game. It was a decent idea but was executed very poorly in the end. If you are a big FarCry fan and enjoyed 5 you will most likely enjoy this and find a lot of fun in it, but if you a just a casual FarCry player you probably should avoid this game and just play 5 instead as it is a lot better than this. It's a fairly poor written game which has a pretty cardboard cast of characters which copies alot from Primal's story except the decent amount of content.    … Expand

    First off, to get through the story, it will take you about 6-8 Hours. This is something i would have expected from an FPS shooter like CoD or Battlefield, not from something like a Far Cry game. This alone feels like it isn't worth the price of the game. When you complete the story, you can still play the game, but at that point, the content is kinda lacking.     Saw launcher is AWESOME!!!. Our friend dog is very good and cute. The songs played in the vehicles are very high quality. The variety of weapons is beautiful. BUT SAME as other Far Cry games. The atmosphere is not post-apocalyptic. Animations are very bad. The mission structure is ordinary. f*ck MICRO PAYMENTS in Far Cry. AS A RESULT, this is not a new game. this is a dlc for far cry 5.

The graphics is unchanged since Far Cry 5, still nice though. The music is drastically different though, offering you some hip-hop (really not my thing) and some good old 50s/60s songs (much better). The game features some microtransactions and contains some SJW.

    It was not disaster, but it was not BLISS. I was not thrilled about Far Cry New Dawn, but I still have FAITH in the series. Generally mixed feelings spell out a generally mixed score. Final Verdict: 58 %    … Expand

    at the beginning of the game, you get to choose your character between both genders, and then you can customize whatever you have chosen but I must say that the number of clothes and outfits which you can use is so limited even with Ubisoft club and even if you have unlocked all available clothes they are still a very small range of them and you can't really customize your character.

    the character itself like the past farcry episodes it not so touchable and you don't get to know him/her well and the story is more about the unplayable characters.

    as you know the most important thing about the FarCry series is its villains and its villains are why this series is popular.

    but unfortunately, after FarCry 4, the villains weren't as good as they used to be, FarCry 5 at first made a great villain out of joseph but the awful ending of the game just destroyed all they had made.

    but in this game, the twins turn out to bee really good Villians although we don't get to see much from them, but when we do they are just great they are complete Villians but as I said we don't get to see much from them and story is so short and everything happens so fast while it could be so much longer and the game could show us a lot more and it would make the game so much better.

    a good thing about the game is the notes around its world if you have player FarCry 4 I suggest you open and read as much as letters as possible they have made a great connection between the games.

    Sound and Graphics:
    the game's graphics have improved a lot from "primal" and it even a little better than the Farcry 5 but it still can improve a lot more

    i experienced the game on ultra high, the shadows were great the environment was a lot better than the previous episodes but it still could be a lot better.

    the game had some locations (like the prison, the fighting arena, and the derby arena) that made it special from the other games and the gameplay in those locations was a lot better and it was more enjoyable.

    the game soundtracks were actually great, and it made the missions so more enjoyable and even a little stressful, Ubisoft had done a great job in choosing the right soundtracks it has made the gameplay a lot better.

    characters :
    as I've said before you don't get to know the character you're playing and the story is based on the unplayable characters.

    the story of Carmina is so great and it is perfectly connected to the FarCry 5 although we could know her a lot better, even her mother Kim and the most important thing that I think Ubisoft left behind was the story of nick (Carmina's father and the plain owner in the FarCry 5), I think the game would be a lot better and a lot more emotional if we get to see more of nick

    i said it before but I think I should say it again in cause to put stress on it, the twins are better than the previous episodes Villians but FarCry 4 and 3 Villians are still a lot favorably and I think if we get to see more from twins and the main story wasn't so short "the twins" could be one the best Villians of Farcry series.    … Expand

    This game do NOT deserve 73/100. The graphics are undeniably good and thats it. The map is empty, the story is almost non existent, their entire crafting system sucks. The villians are not memorable at all and are rather annoying. But rating it 3 out of 10 is way too low lol. This game is atleast better than that.

    I like the Far Cry franchise. It always has quite fun and simple gameplay and beautiful graphics.
    What is not good here is the leveling system; some enemies are bullet spouge until you can get a nice weapon (which is not that simple to get, you have to grind for this).

    It's basically Far Cry 5 with a few new gameplay elements. Whoever decided to add RPG elements into the game, deserves to lose their job. Other than that, it was quite fun and I'll recommend it (on sale).

This game is sold as a standalone title as a continuation to what happened after the Far Cry 5 ending, but it never feels like a standalone game but more like a DLC. The campaign is just 8 hours long and mostly grinding. The location is set 17 years into the future after the post-apocalypse and the map is just recycled.     Open world in New Dawn exists for one single purpose: to let player engage next group of enemies on his own terms. Hopefully, in next game Ubisoft will finally get rid of RPG elements (mainly, bizarre multi-tiered guns) and go back to the formula of first Far Cry. [Issue#236, p.54]

    Only full-time members of Joseph Seed's cult hooked on bliss will enjoy playing Far Cry: New Dawn from start to finish. The others will eventually get tired of psychedelic palette and recycled content.

    Far Cry New Dawn is a ridiculously well-polished and fun to play action game (AI issues aside), with an enjoyable if largely mundane story and villains. It's so hard to negatively criticise too much. It would be unfair to judge this individual game against the wider approach of Ubisoft that some could argue needs to evolve more going into the future. The freedom that this sandbox gives to just shoot things and have fun is clear to see, and on PC the world looks incredible, filled with vivid colours, rich explosions, lush grassland and shimmering blue rivers. The real question following this conclusion to the Hope County arc and all its DLC is where Ubisoft will go next with this franchise. Ultimately it is impossible to separate New Dawn from feeling like an expensive DLC for its predecessor.
