    if you like far cry 5 I think you will enjoy this game I know I did.
    its definitely not a masterpiece but its a good far cry game and it doesn't deserve the level of hate its getting.
    the graphics are amazing on my pc and the gun play is on point the story didn't really catch me I enjoyed the rpg elements but by mid game I felt like Rambo Jesus the hunting mechanics are garbage and    if you like far cry 5 I think you will enjoy this game I know I did.
    its definitely not a masterpiece but its a good far cry game and it doesn't deserve the level of hate its getting.

    Far Cry new dawn is a okay game. It plays well if you liked Far cry 5 and the Division for some of the bullet spongier enemies. The story is not anywhere near as good as previous titles but does answer some questions that were left after Far Cry 5.
    The micro transactions in the game are game breaking. purchase Perk points to over powered weapons and vehicles.

    Well, I've not been able to complete this game since I got stuck in the mission, "The Prophecy", where Joseph never appears with the symbol.

    It's been five days since I contacted Ubisoft and no solution in sight, this is not the same bug as the other bug where the symbol alignment never registered....

    This game is nothing more than a stand-alone DLC asking for way too much money, but that seems to be the norm these days. New Dawn is basically what happens when a dev team falls in love with their IP run out of ideas and try to take LSD when designing a game. I have no problem with the game mechanics and loot/gun aspects of the game it is the only part that is fun.     I doubt most of the people posting here have even played the game. Looks like it's getting review bombed for no reason. I think it's fun, it looks really good, and the new weapons can be a blast to use. That said, it is repetitive, like most Far Cry games, but if you don't mind that, I think you're going to have fun.

    The pink flora isn't so bad, it makes the world look really nice. The 'light' RPG elements ruin this Far Cry however (level 1,2,3,4 weapons). Glad I 'only' payed 23 euro for this game. Game was made for microtransactions only.

You shoot an enemy who is wearing a bicycle helmet in the head and absolutely no damage taken. There is half as much stuff to do as there was in far cry 5, There is no weapon modifications, The weapons are pretty bad, the vehicles are even worse andthe game is nonsense. the gameplay is alright but very grindy, you grind to get a tier 3 weapon (Best sniper rifle in the game) for example.     What is wrong about the game.
    Almost everything. The fact that now Far cry is a stat shooter ( yes, a headshot with a gun does not kill most ennemies anymore) kils the gameplay and the fun. It means that there are ennemies you virtually cannot kill at the beginning of the game.
    The story is just not there. There is nothing exciting, no twist, no charismatic antagonist (yes joseph is here but for like 5 minute tops) and its horribly short. The replayability is bad. You will finished the game on difficult at 100% in around 11-12 hours. By then you'll have maxed out weapon, perks, and vehicule that will take all the challenge away.

    The politicaly correct. You feel it through the whole game. Those two twins are empty. They are here because Ubisoft wanted to fullfil a checklissst in their political agenda. They are here because they are black and female, and because the devs wanted you to understand that "ThOsE ArE StRoNg AnTaGoNiSt"

    It is not a good game. It is a politicaly correct skin of Far Cry 5, with a fration of the fun, a fration of the immersion and people are right to hate it.    … Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I have played every Far cry title since day one but the 5th was the only one i actually completed.
    it was also the only one that thoroughly enjoyed and will gladly play it again.

    so, to hear and read all the info about New Dawn i was absolutely over the moon.
    a follow on to the best Far Cry title to date? get the Flip in!!!!

    I even pre ordered it and booked a day off work to have a long weekend on it.

    the first 10mins were breath taking, lots of similarities and plenty of new stuff.
    making it seem like a great purchase.

    my first gripe was the bouncing damage numbers making it feel like some arcade shoot em up. as well as the huge HP bars above the characters.
    thankfully it is possible to turn these off making it a bit more realistic.

    but with these turned off you cannot tell the rank of the NPC.
    meaning you could come across a legendary lv3 mouse and unload 3 full M60 belts into it and it kills you several times.
    so energy bars had to be turned back on.

    after realising its all about the Tier level of your weapons that hindered game progression i set to grinding the items needed to unlock them.

    this took all of a few hours to have the best guns in the game,

    the story line was awful.. i felt lost most the time and it only felt like i interacted with the twins a couple of times in the entire game. there was no flow or smooth progression at any point with any of the story line. then the twins were dead and i am now supposed to kill some mega demon to do with the story line from 5 ..... WTF.

    when running through the bushes with my new side kick they would make the same sound no matter what they walked on or through.
    it might of been some grass, a bush or a giant tree. no matter which one it was the sound made was similar to the sound barbed wire makes in Rainbow six siege.

    although they have used the old map it feels smaller and easier to navigate once you have unlocked fast travel. you never need a car or the need to walk any where again.
    there is hardly any actual content... there are 8 outposts that have a handful of NPC that need killing.
    once killed you can reset the outpost making it a little bit harder to clear the next time.
    then there are the expeditions which seem great the first time you do them, but soon get boring the 3rd time with slightly harder NPCs to fight.
    or if you really want some fun you can spend several hours gathering Tape, cogs and crafting items from the woods while been attacked by woodland creatures that are harder to kill than superman in a hummer.

    there are no more clutch nixon style events to try and beat others at....
    the parachuting, skydiving and wingsuit mechanics are abysmal.
    when i wasnt been killed over and over by legendary wombats and otters, i was been killed by my next most popular way to die.. jumping off a cliff to parachute or wingsuit only to have neither work and splat on a rock.

    its basically a total waste of money.
    it should of been sold as an expansion for 5 at about £20 on release dropping to about £10 after.

    if you like your sequels to be an awful copy and paste with the Hues and Vibrancy of colours increased .With 2 terribly written plots and absolutely zero replay value i can recommend New Dawn.    … Expand

    This is a waste of money and time. The same formula as 3,4 and 5. Not in a good way, since it is a reskin of 5, which is the lesser of the 3 games.

    On paper, a piece of Far Cry 5 content that uses it's existing world and assets, while adding RPG elements sounds pretty interesting.

    In reality, it's a full priced game using the same world and most of its assets in a previous full priced game, combined with some broken RPG mechanics that were clearly added as an afterthought.     This is a game that should have been released as a $15 DLC for Far Cry 5, or as part of its season pass. OR Ubisoft could have done what they did with Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon, and release it as a standalone product for $15.    … Expand

    Good God, fall out 4, metro Exodus, piles of sht all of them. I truly believe I could complete this game in a couple of hours, it's not really that bad either, I love the Far Cry series but it just feels so rushed, pointless, a step back in every way. And please do not have women as the antagonist, it simply doesn't work.

    I really enjoyed playing Far Cry New Dawn because I'm a big fan of Far Cry 5. This game shows you guys the end of the best story written by Ubisoft. Unfortunately, the gameplay didn't evolve in this game so much since FC5 but the game still good.
    I'd really recommend Far Cry New Dawn to all people who like previous game and don't have **** syndrome.

    I had a lot of fun with this game, definitely worth the less than usual AAA price. I think Ubisoft's Far Cry formula is great fun, and this game's light RPG mechanics and superpower stuff along with the unusually colourful post apocalyptic setting made it much more interesting than the game it's borrowing it's landscape from. Honestly my favourite Far Cry experience since Blood Dragon.

Driving is still a pain because the only view is first person from the driver's seat - Ubisoft apparently is steadfast in their devotion to that, which is aThis is a basic Far Cry game, just like Far Cry 5 and Far Cry 4. It's shorter, which is why it's cheaper. The basic premise is still there - run around a map with an arsenal of weapons and blow away enemy NPCs, which are everywhere. Driving is still a pain because the only view is first person from the driver's seat - Ubisoft apparently is steadfast in their devotion to that, which is a shame since "Far Cry" is essentially GTA: Generic Wilderness. Also added is the RPG-like enemy leveling mechanic, such that you must upgrade your weapons to effectively dispatch higher ranking enemies. I didn't really mind this too much. The graphics are like Far Cry 5, but they're a lot more colorful because of the secondary effects of the nuclear fallout.

    My biggest grip with the game is that it really should've just been a part of Far Cry 5, which I thought was woefully short in duration. The way they setup the story progression in FC5 lent itself to unintentionally forcing the story along at a rather remarkable pace. For example, blowing up an enemy truck would earn you "resistance points" (or something to that effect), and once you'd accumulated enough, you'd be cutscene hijacked into a boss battle. It took but a small number of "resistance points" to get thrust into a "boss battle," and blowing up enemy convoys was a natural consequence of getting from point A to point B, so before you knew it, the game was over. So they dispensed with this mechanic in Far Cry: New Dawn, which was great - I can now kill as many people as I want and not fear accelerating the game's progress before I'm satisfied that I've sufficiently ambled about the map. But I'm torqued that I had to pay money for what really should've been included in the first game. What Ubisoft did here would be the equivalent of Rockstar Games charging $40.00 for the Epilogue to RDR2.    … Expand

    101 место. Размер карты в ND - 15 кв. км, в FC 5 - 60 кв. км. Разница компенсируется концентрацией мест.
    Треть представляет собой нычки с ресурсами. В других есть интересные и не очень записки.
    22 сюжетных задания. Сюжет слабенький. Это просто развёрнутый эпилог FC5 с несколькими новыми деталями.

    Слабее всего завязка.
    Антагонисты нелепые, эмоций кроме недоумения не вызывают. Как и новые герои, не успеваешь хоть как-то привыкнуть и проникнутся.
    Старые герои - другое дело. Их судьба интересна, они выглядят колоритнее новых.
    Несмотря на слабую завязку, концовка оказалась неплохой, пробирающей.
    Остались какие-то незакрытые вопросы, но проблема открытой концовки Far Cry 5 была решена.

    Что касается иных нововведений, то гринд запчастей и грабёж аванпостов необходим для улучшения базы и крафта.
    Для улучшения мастерских, верстаков, больниц необходим спирт. Улучшая больницу, игрок увеличивает здоровье. Улучшая лабораторию, получает доступ ко взрывным боеприпасам. Улучшая мастерскую и верстаки, получает возможность делать оружие / машины из собранных материалов.

    Другое нововведение - система уровней. Как я уже писал, вылазки и аванпосты можно производить повторно, каждый раз увеличивая уровень вплоть до трёх (далее бесконечно). Но на самом деле этих уровней четыре и первым идёт нулевой. Каждый уровень представлен своим цветом по типу ММО.
    0 - Белый. 1 - Синий. 2 - Фиолетовый. 3 - Золотой. Чем больше уровень - тем мощнее оружие. Аналогично с врагами, которые бывают белыми, синими, фиолетовыми и золотыми. Чем выше уровень врага, тем сложнее его убить оружием уровнем ниже. И проще оружием уровнем выше. Так по туловищу золотого врага можно выпустить все патроны из всего оружия первого уровня и не убить. К счастью, разработчики не стали идти по пути маразма до конца и поэтому для убийства даже такого противника достаточно поломать его шлем и прострелить голову, что летально даже с самым простым оружием.

    Учитывая вышеперечисленное, можно сказать, что прощупывание почвы со стороны Ubisoft и завершение Far Cry 5 - это хорошо.
    Но плохо то, что аддон идет по цене игры. Плохо, что время увеличивается за счёт повторений. Огорчает и кризис сюжетных идей.
    Тем не менее, игра заслуживает 6.5 из 10.    … Expand

    - Price. It's not a full-game and should have been the official DLC for the FC5 season pass. Only picked it up because I missed out on the Metro Pre-Order
    - AI & World. You can roadhouse kill kick frozen animal flocks around the map. Enemy AI behaves like they are both drunk and blind. The game teaches you to exploit broken AI code and not fight like you're supposed to.    … Expand

    The answer to the above is...kinda, I've only recently got around to finishing Far Cry 5, it didn't really grab me, I found the location slightly dull and wasn't overly impressed with the art design and gameplay loop, it was alright, a 6/10 for me, a must try harder, entertaining but ultimately failing to really instil any excitement or desire to continue playing in me.

    New Dawn is ubisoft trying harder, don't get me wrong the series needs a shake up but as a stop gap, stand alone expansion this game get's quite a lot right.

    Starting with the post apocalypse....

    The gun play is identical, with slightly more entertaining weapon styles, not a bad thing as that element of gameplay was always competent anyway, the biggest change for me was the environment, far from the Fallout/Metro vision of the apocalypse this is set in the superbloom, and it's beautiful, full of vegetation and flora and turquoise water with pink neon deer...everything I didn't realise I was missing in my life. When you add in a much improved HDR implementation and an improved lighting system you end up with one of the most impressive environments I've seen yet in a videogame, and it's this dramatically more interesting environment that has me more engaged with the experience, i know it's the same map but it doesn't feel like it, and the area's that do, the bombed out remains of locales visited during the previous game are interesting to revisit, to see in their state of sad disrepair..

    In conclusion, better environment and use of colour liven up the experience dramatically, the weapons are a little more interesting and so far the game moves at a slightly brisker pace, i also like the settlement mechanic and base building elements this time around, along with the excursion missions, lots of little improvements that taken as a whole make a relatively by the numbers fps feel a little more exciting and raise it above it's predecessors.    … Expand

    One of the things that surprised me not to be the center of the reviews with FC5 (which was the reason I refunded after an hour of play) was the braindead AI, having finished FC3 to have a reference before playing ND, the enemies are 10IQ smarter than in 5, although the friendly AI is laughable, what is this?     slapping RPGish elements into an abused franchise, I don't know why nobody says it but the god damned crosshair is misplaced, the enemies are now bullet sponges that show points a la Destiny, it is a total grind, frequently reminding you to drop your cash for some currency and whatnot, graphics are "nice", I think, from an artistic view... however, I think 2019 standard is to use the most ridicule color pallete available, this is supposedly a post-apocalyptic game, but to me it looks like U-be-soft's take on Super Weenie Hut Jr's before RAGE 2, they gotta milk that cows, ynowhamsayin?, it's a shame, refunded.    … Expand

    This game is very good experiment. It's very awesome to come back in Hope county after events of the FC5. Good game!!

    I think I've never been this split about what I think about a game.
    Some things are really good, some things are horrible. Some of the few annoying bugs from FC5 are still present, while the awful progression from FC5 isn't ..in the same way at least.
    I don't really care about the story or narrative in Far Cry games, I prefer a silent custom char that makes his own story. But still..    I think I've never been this split about what I think about a game.

    I almost deleted the game already at the start, as you don't select gender, you select 'Body Type' now in Ubi games

    The weapon system with it's old post-apocalyptic 'road warrior' look could've been great, if one were able to modify them instead of crafting a pre-made 'custom' weapon.
    A real immersion killer for Co-Op and people who like to actually customize their arsenal to fit the character they make to fill the gap of a 'real' protagonist.

    The game-world itself actually looks quite good, but they still use the same 300 meters+ and things randomly respawn.

    I can't give it less then a 5, as ..well, killing is fun in the game. Nor can I give it more then a 7 since they dropped the ball so many times, where they could've made it almost a masterpiece.

    Feel a bit disappointed but I also didn't pay full price. The game generally feels like a large DLC for Far Cry 5. The main story is short, much shorter than previous far cry's and as I'm also going through AC: Odyssey I was just expecting another 10 hours of gameplay or something.

    I'm not too fussed about the overall accuracy of what the post apocalypse was supposed to look like so soon after but I was able to get through the game on "tough" mode (which is the middle option, so don't mistake that for anything other than normal mode) in 11 hours. That's also with clearing all outposts at least once and doing a bunch of expeditions. I was easiy able to upgrade my base to the max level with a bunch of high level stuff.

    You also get a shotgun if you've completed far cry 5 (at least on UPlay anyway) which is OP as **** when you unlock rank 2 weapons (again, you can do this quite early on).

    But the game works, it runs well there are no broken mission lines, no animation bugs or anything game breaking. The bright ambiance use gives a nice effect. If there's one thing that Far Cry is known for now it's the protagonists and Vaas has always been a tough job to follow. I'd give the twins a 6.5/10.

    Cons, this game could be done even better! By adding some more bosses, develop the theme of mutant animals, add weapon effects like in Bordelrands.

    In fact, an excellent and high-quality experiment with the series, my advise for you is to ignore those bad fake reviews and try the game for yourself.

    Кто-то тупо решил обвалить рейтинг игре не поиграв. Ок, молодцы.

    Но вот что скажу, играл во все части, прошел все части FC и спин-оффы.

    Игра нереально затянула и наиграл 20 часов за 3 дня.

    Охренительное и разнообразное оружие, сильные мобы, новые механики игры, неплохой сюжет, отличная графика.

    Минусы, эту игру можно было сделать еще круче! Добавить больше боссов, развить тему мутантов зверей дальше, добавить оружие по типу bordelrands.

    По факту отличный и качественный эксперимент с серией, советую не вестить на высеры и попробовать игру самому.    … Expand

    So yea, the game is not as good as I expected, but it’s mostly fine, the rpg style system was ok for me but the storyline was toooo short, I passed the game in 2 days, it’s noy a must-play game, but FAR-CRY players will like the post apocalyptic setting

    Хочу поделиться своим мнением по поводу данной игры.

    Сначала выскажу свое мнение о сюжете и миссии.
    Они очень скучные, нет никакого азарта. Когда вы подойдете к первому "Специалисту" (его будут звать Стручок), то получите от него задание в таком духе: "Найди моего помощника. Он украл у меня мои ценности. Я бы, конечно, сам это сделал, но колени болят и т.п., в общем, не могу".Мы живем в 2019 году, а сценаристы Ubisoft - в 2319. Таких заданий уже нет даже в корейских мморпг играх. Все остальные задания похожи, но с появление "уникального крафта" гринда стала еще больше.

    Перейдем к главным антагонистам, нашему герою и его спутникам.
    С самого начала игры нам показывают, что ни в герое, ни в двух сёстрах нет жизни и души (также как и в спутниках). Отсутствуют сострадание, да и вообще какие-либо чувства к персонажам. Герой немой, просто безжизненная оболочка. И совершенно нет никакого интереса к ним.

    Расскажу про новые фишки.
    Система крафта уже существовала во всех самых древних корейский играх - ничего интересного в этом нет. Новые оружия и техника посредственные. Разработчики могли бы придумать или хотя бы "адаптировать" что-то более интересное, но и так сойдет... В 5-ой части игры оружия было очень мало, но в этой - получше.

    Новый Эдем.
    Мир после ядерной войны (которая была 17 лет назад) выглядит неестественно. Красивый ли он? Нет, он обычный, ничего больше. Забавные только новые животные, но новыми их тоже назвать тяжело: просто цвет поменяли. Но так видят художники, так что тут не могу сказать ничего плохого.
    Новое убежище - это сарай или лачуга. Могли бы сделать что-то более грандиозное, а не одну халупу с пристройками в виде мастерских.

    Гемплей.
    Его нет, он мертвый. Всё, что вы будете делать - это стрелять, захватывать ненужные аванпосты, чтобы прокачивать ненужную халупу. И всё это заправив очень унылыми побочными заданиями, что ещё сильнее вгонит вас в грусть перед этой игрой.

    Вывод:
    Моя оценка это 2 из 10. Ведь эта игра показывает свое отношение Ubisofta к своей аудитории. Что в итоге мы получаем? Мертвую игру, у которой нет души, со старым гемплеем.

    Great Far cry romp that is in my opinion better than Far cry 5.
    Graphic are brilliant, game play is brilliant, story is a little meh, but who plays it for the story.
    Great fun and worth the money.
    Most that vote it down is because it's colourful or don't own the game and just wan to hate. The colours in the game really work to add atmosphere.

    Почему в очередной раз сделали не так как хотят фанаты , а ровно наоборот В нём почти ничего нового И зачем её сделали, просто зачем? Я дор сих пор жду части с Россией и Австралией Ещё и РПГ приписали зачем то Когда будет нормальная часть , а не говно которое я увидел в пятой и в новом дауне    Это на столько лишняя часть серии

    Конвеер продолжает крутить свои шестеренки. А что вы ожидали? Ландшафт сделанный в ручную? Колоритных персонажей? Сюжет? Музыку и звук? Пожалуйста проходите мимо к этой недоигре это не относится!!!

    i dont like the new far cry concept, i loved 1, 3 and 4; but the downhill began with 5, the quest design is average, no story, it feels like a MP LOOT Game, not a single player game

    This title is totally trash, this is even worst than AC Syndicate in my opinion. All ubisoft games look and works the same: go to the point A, go to the point B, attack enemy base, free hostages etc etc it is so boring and repeatable ... Hope they start listen players ... someday and not making mistake like FC New Dawn again.

    Open world in New Dawn exists for one single purpose: to let player engage next group of enemies on his own terms. Hopefully, in next game Ubisoft will finally get rid of RPG elements (mainly, bizarre multi-tiered guns) and go back to the formula of first Far Cry. [Issue#236, p.54]

    Only full-time members of Joseph Seed's cult hooked on bliss will enjoy playing Far Cry: New Dawn from start to finish. The others will eventually get tired of psychedelic palette and recycled content.

    Far Cry New Dawn is a ridiculously well-polished and fun to play action game (AI issues aside), with an enjoyable if largely mundane story and villains. It's so hard to negatively criticise too much. It would be unfair to judge this individual game against the wider approach of Ubisoft that some could argue needs to evolve more going into the future. The freedom that this sandbox gives to just shoot things and have fun is clear to see, and on PC the world looks incredible, filled with vivid colours, rich explosions, lush grassland and shimmering blue rivers. The real question following this conclusion to the Hope County arc and all its DLC is where Ubisoft will go next with this franchise. Ultimately it is impossible to separate New Dawn from feeling like an expensive DLC for its predecessor.
