Whereas the first DLC required you to have some familiarity with Vaas to fully appreciate the story elements, Far Cry 6 - Pagan: Control provides everything you need to understand Pagan and his inner turmoil. While most of us are not likely to become dictators, we can all understand the feelings of powerlessness and inferiority that Pagan faces when confronted with overwhelming personal loss.

Pagan: Control has become my favorite way to enjoy Far Cry 6 and is a very interesting novelty for any Season Pass holder. Its well-executed looping gameplay and typical of the saga score the plus points. However, we can't help but think that the dynamic of being the villain could be better exploited.

While not as good and engaging as the previous DLC, Pagan: Control still gives us some wonderful gunplay and cool roguelike elements, even if the story doesn't play well with that kind of gameplay.

The Far Cry 6 DLC "Pagan: Control" extracted the settings of Far Cry and implanted them into "Roguelike" gameplay. Player will play the Pagan Min, who was the villain in Far Cry 4, and return to Kyrat. The familiar maps ans scenes, the unique narrative perspective and the missions imbued with fantasy elements give you a quite fresh feeling. However, the DLC is very repetitious in terms of gameplay and the in-game rewards are very limited, which gives you a strong feeling of fatigue and kills your desire to start new game.

Pagan: Control gives another glimpse of Far Cry 6 rogulite DLC action. The formula is basically the same as Vaas DLC, with the same strengths and weaknesses. A pretty solid gameplay experience burdened by lack of depth and variety.

Artistically valuable and capable of providing an intriguing additional perspective to the story of Far Cry 4, Control is a DLC that does not add or subtract from the playful experience of the first content of the Season Pass. This is why the qualitative degree of the two add-ons is in our opinion totally overlapping, with an upward or downward decline depending on your preferences for Vaas or Pagan Min. Given the groove taken by Ubisoft, in short, it is likely that the DLC dedicated to Joseph Seed can settle on the same standards: we will find out during our next journey into the madness of the villains of Far Cry.

Far Cry 6's second DLC pack is an interesting look at a classic villain, but it lacks much variety and its roguelike elements clash with the series' free-form style that made the base game so enjoyable.

There is no doubt that fans who just want an excuse to shoot more things in Far Cry 6 or who are really looking to dive into Pagan Min’s background will be satisfied by “Pagan Min: Control.” However, it is disappointing that the DLC did not take the opportunity to create a more diverse experience than what came directly before it.

The character of Pagan was revealed quite good but the main problem is that this DLC is too short. It is extended with Roguelike, but not with interesting gameplay mechanics. When you die on the latest part of the DLC, you want to turn off the game and delete it. You don't get pleasure when you die like in normal Roguelike games. And the next minus is that this DLC is the same as the previous DLC about Vaas. Full Review »
