If you have played far cry 3 then really no need to get this game. If not then you find a fun game that runs well and looks good even on lower settings. Mouse and keyboard work very nice and after trying DAI its a real treat to control. The auto drive is nice to use now and then. where I own 3 then a rating of 6.5 would be fair but counter the zeroes I will rate it 8

I mean seriously FC3, what were you thinking, even though this does have its moments that make you question if game developers take drugs. The story is passenger stuff, while not to involving it brings you for a ride. It has interesting moments but nothing that will leave you on the edge of your seat.

No FC has always been about the beautiful locations, and the set of the Himalaya mountain range will leave you suitably impressed. Graphics are good with a great compromise between optimisation and quality which leaves AC:Unity in shame.

While the gameplay is very much similar to all the previous in the series there is nothing much that I can say is wrong with FC4. Perhaps missions are a little bit repetitive towards the end, but still so much to do, and fun to have.
If there is one criticism to be had ... are the endings, again in typical Far Cry fashion the Ubisoft always messes up the ending. While you can appreciate the Secret fourth Ending (Which I highly suggest after completing the game) the 3 proper endings leave a lot of questions unanswered, and worst of all just leave everything hanging. This something Ubisoft has never gotten right on any of the FC series, but I have to say overall it's the better, tighter story, and some points of interests ... Ubisoft you're getting better.

There may be only one criticism... but there is one issue. Hunting animals, honestly I don't know how I should feel about this as part of the game requires you to hunt animals for their fur. Which is interesting from a moral perspective, on the one hand it's just a game, on the other I am still hunting the rare Asian Rhino just so I can have a bigger wallet. Honestly I don't mind having a cheap plastic one. The game its self tries to tone the issue down with hints that the in game animal populations are plentiful, as Kryat is over populated for the specific reason so hunters can pay for the privilege. "Not Endangered, just hunted for sport and their skin" So Ubisoft and Ubisoft Lawyers says that's ok. But honesty there is little part of me saying it's a little wrong for FC to keep doing this.

Vehicle and weapons are good fun and there is a decent variety though you quickly find your favourites and stick with them. Vehicles are all right but feels like someone has sanded the tread off all the tires. The Buzzer is fantastic, a small helicopter, though it's annoy it has a ceiling height. Money can be earned too easily and you often end up purchasing all the weapons you'll every need from the outset. Outposts, Bell towers, and Fortresses are on the too ease side and still fun to play. NPCs have no concept of self-preservation as you pick off all his buddies as he stands around waiting for your line your sights up on his head.

A few bugs and issues, but no game stopping problems. A lot of WTF moments, my favourite was when an eagle swooped down and took a goat into the air. "A momma's got to feed her babies...!"

All in all a good game and a good improvement, Ubisoft keep it up you crazy people ...

Far Cry 3 was phenomenal 9.5/10 game and the Far Cry 4 is pretty much same game, more like Far Cry 3.5 with boring and repetitive missions. PC version runs just fine.

Far Cry 4 certainly has a lot of good features. The fictional country of Kyrat is a beautiful place to explore and are a lot of action, exploration and stealth elements involved.

Unfortunately, it doesn't bring anything new to the Far Cry franchise. Its story and characters are mostly disappointing. Pagan Min is the only noteworthy character but you mostly only see him at the beginning

Far Cry 4 plays too much like its predecessor. It's just more of the same... but with bigger explosions. However, if you've never played the Far Cry series, you probably might enjoy this game. (7.5/10)

The gameplay is somewhat like fc3. But more exciting and fast paced. Always have to be alert and battle ready. Making different choices will change the course of the story. Graphics as usual is awesome. The explosion effect is very realistic. Good work from ubisoft (overlooking the **** they have made in Ac unity)

The game feels a bit more like Far Cry 3.1 than an all new Far Cry 4...but then why mess with (near) perfection? Massive open world environment with almost free reign over what you do and don't do.

Mind you, there appears to be a major bug in the PC version. At the end of Act 2, as you get a rifle butt in the head, the game goes to black, and stays that way. After a while I restarted, and spawned in some random outpost, with no minimap/health bar, no weapons, no missions left to perform on the map, and you can't even sleep in an outpost bed. Something's gone very, very wrong. And I'm not alone the Ubi forums are crawling with players having the same issue. Some have had their support tickets open a week, with zero acknowledgement from Ubisoft. Not good enough for a game netting many millions of dollars for those involved.

I knew what I was getting, and what I got exceeded my expectations. The amount of pure fun playing this game, embracing the little glitching and cursing the large ones with a friend is great. the story in this game is not the most exciting, and some of the side mission seem to be repetitive. However, the amount of content they put in this game, with stunning graphics, and generally stable game play (Depending on your desktop configuration) makes this game incredibly good. But then comes the decision, is it worth $70? No. Is it worth 30$-50$? Yes. Pick this game up if it is on sale, and make sure to pick up a copy for a friend, because it is enjoyed most with a good buddy to blow up their truck after jumping out. My verdict rests at, as it stands only the more hardcore Far Cry fans or those who don't mind shelling out top dollar for a triple A game should buy it. Otherwise wait for it to drop in price. 8.5/10-9/10 I feel is suitable. Expand

The wild animals in FC4 are certainly badass, and the game provides lots of opportunity to create some serious chaos - this, along with all the other extras - adds up to the overall good experience I had with the singleplayer campain.
I can't think of any reason to dislike anything about Far Cry 4. I am pretty surprised to see the negative notions about the fact that apart from the storyline and setting, nothing much has changed compared with FC3. In fact, I would have been disappointed had FC4 been wholly new and unrecognizable.

Exactly what I was looking for. I LOVED Far Cry 3 and so I loved this. It is true what other reviews have said, this game is pretty much identical to FC3 but so what? That said- the small differences from FC3 I really liked. Namely, the grappling mechanic to help scale vertical faces, the small helicopter thing to get around the island easily, fortresses in addition to outposts, the wingsuit/parachute idea, these were all very welcome additions.

One of the best things about FC3 were the drugged up hallucinogenic sections, and they managed to fit these into this game as well. And of course the most fun part of the gameplay- outposts- are here too. I love them so much (they were also my favorite part of Watchdogs). I will buy all future games in the series as long as they have outposts for me to clear.

The only reason this is getting a 9 and not a 10 is a save bug, I have had to re-do missions I previously completed three times now, despite the yellow save icon appearing after I completed them the first time. Fortunately the missions were all fun.

I do love Nepal and Himalaya a lot more than hot boiling places like in FC2 and 3, and the surroundings here, sure are truly astonishing

There are bugs, but after ACU nothing shocking, and they get fixed.

Best FPS in recent years? nope.
Compare to FC3, FC4 is like a drop down.
It does have nice graphic and "something to play", but not really much to say.
    And the storyline is boring.
What's different is this time the later part and ending is a little better than FC3.
    So i'll give it a 7.

A lot of people are complaining that FC4 is like FC3, and it is, but who cares? It's still awesome. As far as bugs go, it's not that bad, there's only one problem I have and that's the fact that if you fall 2 meters then open your wingsuit on accident you take 3 times more damage then you would just falling. As far as story goes, it's quite bland, basically you are some gun mad man that just happens to lead a country to victory, however in the story you will have to make some decisions and usually I don't feel like I'm affected by decisions in games, but it was really hard for me to either kill or spare certain people. Far Cry 4 is reminiscent of Far Cry 3 but in all ways nostalgic. It plays through easily and never left me bored and always wanting more.

Far Cry 4 is a lengthy open world game that is filled with unnecessary side quests at every turn and enough little things to collect that make you want to only play the game in small parts. What really drove home the Negative review would be that Far Cry 4 remains to much of the previous games and does not deliver enough new content or new game mechanisms to stand out.

Far Cry 3 came out in 2012, Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon came out in April of 2013. Followed by Far Cry 4 in November of 2014. Far Cry 4 is basically a copy paste Far Cry 3 in a different part of the world with a uninteresting main character and the usual "crazy" evil villain. The only difference between the games is the increase in the dangers of the wildlife.
The game is bloated with sup-par content in side missions that you can easily justify not doing. You can obtain all the levels and currency needed by just doing the meat of the game and collecting items. Play Far Cry 3, Skip Far Cry 4.

Far Cry 4 takes the best bits of Far Cry 3, puts a new spin on them and drops its troubling racial politics and constrained mission design.
