    Pros
    - Great Performance, no bad frame drops.
    - Solid controls
    - More difficult AI. On Hard mode, if you go in guns blazing you will most likely die.

    I bought this game knowing full well what a mess the current Ubisoft situation is. Nonetheless, I had a lot of fun with this title. Fact: It is Far Cry 3 with eagles, more guns and co-op, and this is exactly what made me enjoy it. I knew what I was getting, and what I got exceeded my expectations. The amount of pure fun playing this game, embracing the little glitching and cursing theI bought this game knowing full well what a mess the current Ubisoft situation is. Nonetheless, I had a lot of fun with this title. Fact: It is Far Cry 3 with eagles, more guns and co-op, and this is exactly what made me enjoy it. I knew what I was getting, and what I got exceeded my expectations. The amount of pure fun playing this game, embracing the little glitching and cursing the large ones with a friend is great. the story in this game is not the most exciting, and some of the side mission seem to be repetitive. However, the amount of content they put in this game, with stunning graphics, and generally stable game play (Depending on your desktop configuration) makes this game incredibly good. But then comes the decision, is it worth $70? No. Is it worth 30$-50$? Yes. Pick this game up if it is on sale, and make sure to pick up a copy for a friend, because it is enjoyed most with a good buddy to blow up their truck after jumping out. My verdict rests at, as it stands only the more hardcore Far Cry fans or those who don't mind shelling out top dollar for a triple A game should buy it.     Fkin fantastic game! Just sheer awesomeness from the beginning to the very end! Cliff Martinez has also done exceptional job with the soundtrack. Awesome, awesome, awesome!!!

    To begin with, the similarities between Far Cry 4 and 3. Never change a winning team, that's what the developers must've thought.
    The graphics are even more beautiful (even though my R9 290X just barely manages to run the game at ultra) and the world is a really good alternative to the signature tropical setting that we have seen in part 1 and 3. The wild animals in FC4 are certainly badass, and the game provides lots of opportunity to create some serious chaos - this, along with all the other extras - adds up to the overall good experience I had with the singleplayer campain.
    I can't think of any reason to dislike anything about Far Cry 4. I am pretty surprised to see the negative notions about the fact that apart from the storyline and setting, nothing much has changed compared with FC3. In fact, I would have been disappointed had FC4 been wholly new and unrecognizable.    … Expand

If it ain't broken don't fix it. Unlike some players I have no need for constant innovation in video games- but if you do and you've played FC3, perhaps give this a miss.

    That said- the small differences from FC3 I really liked. Namely, the grappling mechanic to help scale vertical faces, the small helicopter thing to get around the island easily, fortresses in addition to outposts, the wingsuit/parachute idea, these were all very welcome additions.

    One of the best things about FC3 were the drugged up hallucinogenic sections, and they managed to fit these into this game as well. And of course the most fun part of the gameplay- outposts- are here too. I love them so much (they were also my favorite part of Watchdogs). I will buy all future games in the series as long as they have outposts for me to clear.

    The only reason this is getting a 9 and not a 10 is a save bug, I have had to re-do missions I previously completed three times now, despite the yellow save icon appearing after I completed them the first time. Fortunately the missions were all fun.    … Expand

    fact is that is huge fun, a wonderful sensorial experience, it is visually stunning (with some drop in style...) and overall will just take your time more than you can actually "do".

    It is a game that inspire you through eyes and ears, story and mood, and to appreciate it you really want the full details, ensure to have a strong configuration to stretch...
    HD with i5 2500k @4.5 and a GTX 970 OC --> all ULTRA (but TXAA 2x) or NVIDIA settings, with never less than 50 FPS and averaging 54 FPS (activating DSR just half the frame to 30 v-synced but with drops).
    There are bugs, but after ACU nothing shocking, and they get fixed.
    (juts one comment: yes, it's true: aiming with mouse is difficult and tedious, using an xbox pad it's just matter of very short time for good precision).    … Expand

    One of the really rare games that I have completed in the last 3 years. If you have any doubt - buy it. Totally worth it!!!

    Gameplay may sometimes seem to be boring, but there are so many events to participate! I enjoyed it for 30 hours which is too much for me, because I have little free time.

    Far Cry 4 is reminiscent of Far Cry 3 but in all ways nostalgic. It plays through easily and never left me bored and always wanting more.
    There were some optimization issues at first but after a few updates, the game runs like a champ.
    The desire to play through a second time is difficult to find however, it doesn't really have lasting appeal in my opinion.

    Buy it! One of the best games this year. With the open world and many side quest you get hours of entertainment not like that repetitive crap game shadows of mordor.

    The best FPS game i've ever played! Its just far cry 3 but better in every aspect, except story which is also very good but not as amazing as far cry 3 story was. Graphics are truly beatiful and gameplay is not getting bored even after playing 5 hours a day.

    Everything I said about Far cry 3 I repeat in this one! Only the map of this game that I don't like so much, I really loved the island alive in 3 colors
    (This game was the last good one in the series, after it Far cry it only went downhill, all games are bad I didn't make a point of playing any after 4

    I'm old school, LOVED Fary Cry, Crysis, and Crysis Warhead. That Crytek engine in 2007 could compete with modern game engines. Then came Far Cry 2, which I excitedly pre-ordered - not realizing the entire NAME had been sold to Ubisoft, undoubtedly to catch suckers like me. That was such a bad game. Terrible. Not even using the Crytek    I really didn't want or expect to like this game.

    I'm old school, LOVED Fary Cry, Crysis, and Crysis Warhead. That Crytek engine in 2007 could compete with modern game engines.

    Then came Far Cry 2, which I excitedly pre-ordered - not realizing the entire NAME had been sold to Ubisoft, undoubtedly to catch suckers like me. That was such a bad game. Terrible. Not even using the Crytek engine.

    Then came Crysys 2 and this time they ported Cryengine to consoles and in the process totally gutted and destroyed it so it could accomodate the lowest common denominator.

    So I skipped Far Cry 3. And all Crysys sequels.
    But I've been bored waiting for GTA V. So I, uh "tried out" a few new games. And found myself totally loving Far Cry 4! I immediately went and bought it (full price $69, and this weekend it's on sale on Steam for $45. Grrr oh well). I've played 50 hours so far, won it, but keep playing just for the fun. The graphics are gorgeous, the live world around you feels like a true if a bit insane wilderness.

    I have a core i5-3670k@ 4.4 ghz, and an AMD r9 280x. I can run at 2560x1440 with everything on Ulltra, but with AA off, and get a very smooth 40-50fps.

    This game has provided me hours of entertainment. 52 last time I checked. And honestly the game world is HUGE, tons of stuff to do, the collection quests are mostly optional. When I first installed this and played I really was expecting to be dissappointed. Instead I love, and I went and bought the $30 Season Pass so I have more to do. So that's $90 for the whole game basically. But you know what, it's actually worth that.
    Well done Ubisoft. I've only had about 3 glitches getting stuck in rocks, and no crashes.

    Edit: Yes there are annoyances. Like cutscenes you have to sit through. I just alt-tab until it's done.    … Expand

Refreshingly, the narrative takes itself seriously and knows when to dial back on the humour to tell a much more personal, and frankly desperate, tale of political hierarchies. The centre argument for Far Cry 4 isI loved Far Cry 4, I thought it was such a meaningful and deeply personal story about decision and political choice. Truly quite unique for a big Triple AAA title. Refreshingly, the narrative takes itself seriously and knows when to dial back on the humour to tell a much more personal, and frankly desperate, tale of political hierarchies. The centre argument for Far Cry 4 is religious/cultural vs economic/capitalist future, and I think the game actually does a perfect job at balancing out the pros and cons of each situation. Pagan Min is frankly the best Far Cry villain, simply because he isn't purely messed up, deranged or the typical evil villain there is elegance in the writing and the way the game depicts him. Also, the setting of Kyrat is gorgeous so much has already been said.

    This game does so much more than 5 or Far Cry 6...it's much more challenging and immerse than those games also, which is upsetting because you want games to build upon the foundations of what came before. Not dial back and give us the same experience. In saying that, when Far Cry 4 came out it was compared quite a lot to Far Cry 4, I argue however that the game adds more mechanics, difficulty and from a graphical/technical point of view is much more beautiful and immerse than 3. I also think the narrative and way they add a new vehicle for traversal really shakes up the game play in unique ways.

    Either way, bottom line, Far Cry 4 amazed me, I loved every moment of it. The only negative being more that this Far Cry game is the model used for every other future Ubisoft game, making the experience in 2022 somewhat feel dated and familiar.    … Expand

I was expecting ... well, an environment that is admittedly not so suited for a game ... that is vast areas of not much more than landscape with sparse hotspots. Instead the whole world feels not much different from the Island of Far Cry 3 in terms of infrastructure.
    The AI has not made great leaps forward - and while the enemies are not too shabby once alarmed, they seem to value their life a lot less than they should - resulting in the typical getting-mowed-down-by-i-am-not-a-soldier-protagonist ... in the hundreds.

    Vehicles offer a nice change of pace but the program is not really optimized for them - or so it feels.

    Now - what about the main aspect of the game... is it fun and does the fun last?

    Yes - it is fun. The compromise of gradually unlocking the world, story and sidemissions will keep a player playing and offers a lot of well spent fun time.
    Like Far Cry 3 however - the action becomes easier and easier especially when the player keeps doing every little sidemission prior to advancing to storymissions.

    The UI is well done, the graphics are better than Far Cry 3, which still holds up well today in terms of looks. I should express my ... surprise about the optimization. It runs very well on even mid range computers - that is.. if you can get it running in the first place.

    loading times are rather long but excusable for such a world

    If there had not been a Far Cry 3 ... this game would totally justify a 10/10 rating in my opinion...

    Lets be honest though... since it copies most of Far Cry 3... improves it significantly but still copies most of it... it is an 8/10 for me. A great game - a better protagonist, an antagonist that is not as memorable as the one from Far Cry 3 (but i can live with that trade)

    What is left once the campaign is done....

    not much that other games cannot do much much better - and the open world does not invite much for keeping playing. It does however invite for another playthrough after some time.    … Expand

    I honestly can't see why this game may get avg. score. I've played far cry 2 and 3, and this one is way more polished. The graphics are much better. It might as well be the best looking game on PC to date (970 gtx here). The nvidia recommended settings make the lighting look quite real.     Yes the story may be not that focused or interesting (compared to far cry 3), but who cares (as long as the atmosphere is there)? Some nitpicking would be that the 'press button to...' trigger not always show on time and the re-load times are longer than most shooters, thus will cost you often the fight... and what is with these eagles - is this suppose to be fun?. There is also the occasional glitch, but again, I don't care as long as it's not in the way (playing v1.6). I really can't relate to anybody hating this, even on a level I am trying to imagine. Probably the correct advice is just to try it out for yourself (at least the Demo). Don't let the score discourage you, because for me, this is one of the best games out there.    … Expand

Also the character is pretty much like jason', really couldn't tell a difference.     Given the game is almost a decade old at this point I won't write a very detailed review, just wanted to say it's easily my favorite of the franchise. Very engaging story, loved the location of the game, and has the best mechanics as well.

    I have Halo MCC, Shadows of Mordor, Lego Batman 3, Sunset Overdrive, COD AW and none of them come even close to this game in pure fun factor. In general I am not fond of "open world" type game, but this game is just amazing.. and co-op mode.. OMG!! GET THIS GAME NOW!

    Game play is extremely fun at first, but over time it becomes more like quest to finish then addictive play. Even though new tasks or characters are introduced frequently, the essence of the missions remains the same, which makes it dull. I would say I would not consider replaying this game after done the first time.

    In terms of balance, this is where I think most the weakness in game play originates from. I played on hardest setting. AI is actually descent, and tends to perform well in most scenarios. They tend to be very aggressive and offensive, and will also independently use heavy weapons and equipment if available in the area. The problem is player’s fire power and its availability. In the beginning, the game seems to be very challenging, but after player acquires heavy rifles, no scenarios or opponents offer any challenge. This essentially turns the game into running and gunning; where most fun is obtained in the ways one perform the “gunning” part.

    Graphics sounds and animations are probably the strongest areas in the game.
    Graphics is realistic looking. Most all objects are HD textures, which only few areas looking more like console quality textures. Overall graphics is decently optimized, and allow even the lower generation of HW to run it with what I would describe as very good visual quality with acceptable FPS. Latest VGA Hw can also do some latest graphical settings such as fur, tessellation, etc.. Animations in play and in the movies are very rich and expressive, which add to the overall immersion. Sounds are very high quality, with nearly all actions having some kind of unique sounds. Overall, the game is graphically very impressive.
    Other consideration: I have not played FC3, but based on the experience with FC4, I would probably wait until I have nothing better to do before trying it.    … Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. When I saw the ?User rating for this game @ 6.5 i was shocked, Personally I think this is one of the best story driven games that i have played in a long long time.

    Don't get me wrong it is not perfect, but all of the issues I was had were all technical related.
    The game for me ran great, minus a few lag spikes and some micro-stutter when 1.0 came out.
    Since then the dev's have released like 5 updates, the first one made the game take like 5 minutes at a black screen before it would come up, not exaggerating. then the second update made my games physics run terrible, mob would do random wierd things and i kept hitting the dashboard when i drove a car, no matter what i did. then the third and 4th, and 5th updates seemed to fix most of these issues.

    I am now running like day 1 but without the micro-stutter.
    All that aside, let me review the actual game.

    Graphics: Personally this to me is a beautiful game, it has great visuals and effects and it has unique and interesting locations.
    With all of the gameworks tweaks on, it looks amazing, except for fur. the fur implemented looks chunky and made of floating dots. I saw photos online of what it was suppose to look like and it looks amazing on the development page, but not in game.
    I like the red truck = bad guy, blue = good guy, but the variety of vehicles could have been a little more diverse.

    The AI: is hit or miss, but really fun. the predator class animals hunt the prey and sometime you will be flying over an area and see a big cat chasing deer or two bears fighting, or a rhino flipping cars, if the humans were not so dumb it would be a little more challenging

    Sound: I have 5.1 and it is amazing to be able to turn right to the animal attacking me by sound alone.

    Gameplay: 12/10 IMHO, i loved FC3 but it was lacking something, the flying around and unique interactions with NPC's and the wild life, make even the most boring times more fun that some alternative games...

    then there are the side missions, these make the game amazing, the Yogi missions are a blast and funny, the Shangra-la ones are brilliant, and the hurk ones are funny too.    … Expand

    Awesome game with a large and expansive open world ever made. Far Cry 4 is a "plus" of Far Cry 3, but the weather and ambient is really gorgeous. If you want a large game campaign to spend yours hours, this game is THE GAME.

    Far Cry 4 surprised me. I came into this game having not played the other games in the series. I was instantly blown away by the great looking world. The combat was very fun, and the variety of weapons made it fun to find different ways to kill people. The controls were fluid and I never once felt like I died from bad control. The controls were fluid and I never once felt like I died from bad control. What I don't like is the healing system. Having to hit ctrl to heal was monotonous. If I didn't have a healing syringe i was stuck waiting behind a wall waiting for the slow healing animation to finish. After running out and killing a few enemy I was stuck behind a wall again healing. Driving cars around Kyrat is fun and its fun to listen to the radio and hear what they say. The stealth parts were the worst as you had to very slowly crouch evrywhere and stop for a minute to wait for a guy to turn around and kill him. It slows the game down so much that it makes me not want to play. On the otherhand, parts where you and the golden path charge bases is always fun and gets your adrenaline going. Pagen Min is a great antagonist as he's fun to watch/listen to when he's there, I wish he talked more in the story than he did. Amita and Sabal are forgettable characters and I personally didn't like either of them. There are many missions that are available like yogi and Reggie were you get high and run for a few minutes then it's done or Hurk where you have to collect these monkey statues (my favorite) and Willis which is are the worst missions. The most dislikable character and some of the hardest and unfair missions in the game. The Golden path missions are very fun and had the most action. Whether your in Kyrat, Shangri La, or the Himalayas it looks amazing!!! The ending was a little disappointing but the atmosphere of the game was great. The crafting system worked well, even though I didn't use it much it was very useful when I did. The different skills you can learn add to the experience (The extra Health bar is the best in my opinion). Overall Far Cry 4 is a great experience, is it the best game of 2014? No, but it is a great game to the Far Cry franchise and made me want a Far Cry 5. Anyone can have fun with this game as there is something for everyone. Far Cry 4 receives a 8.2/10.… Expand

    I actually thoroughly enjoyed playing thru this game. Story and characters are kind of bland, but exploring and shooting and driving is all pretty fun.

    No crashes or FPS issues. Game ran good.

    If you're looking for a simple fun to play open world game where you can shoot and blow things up, this is a good choice.

The game gives you the option for stealth gameplay (which is very polished and robust) to action packed fun.     I personally like this game more than the 3 one. Maybe its story isn't as interesting as the previous entry in the series but it's still a very strong compact narrative. The gameplay on the other hand is where this game really shines from its predecessor. It takes everything from 3 and improves upon it. I also have a soft spot for anything close to the Himalayas.

    Kyrat is such a fun place to explore! Kyrat is based on Nepal and brings it's own culture, religion, mountains and landscapes.

    It doesn't just sound good paper, it actually works extremely well in the game.
    You get to experience it yourself through all the side content this game has to bring (which is enormous).

    you can find and destroy masks of a demon carved by cultists, "Mani Wheels" to spin, Propaganda posters to take down, and all of this side content really makes Kyrat feel alive with it's own special culture and traditions. And combine that with the beautiful graphics, the great atmosphere and fitting (if forgettable) music, all of that together makes Kyrat one of the best settings i ever got to experience in a video game.

    The gameplay is good for the most part, it easily could have been better in my opinion, and this brings me to the only reason this game in not a 10/10.

    This game is a technical mess. It has a decent amount of bugs. Rhinos can literally hit you again right after they make you fall on your ass (which was DEFINITELY not supposed to happen, trust me. It's not a feature, it's a bug), when you hide an enemy's corpse in a corner it is almost guranteed to get stuck in a wall and hover like he got nailed to the wall with a hammer, and some side missions were annoyed with the fact that they only got to be completed once, so they demanded the player to complete them again.

    If there weren't so many frustrating bugs and this game wasn't a mess, i would have given it a 10/10 without a doubt, but unfortunately that's not the case here.    … Expand

    Nevertheless discovering great, open world in Far Cry 4 with the improved gameplay was really fun. Excellent shooter - not everywhere you are able to shoot to a hippo, drive over one opponent and sneak to kill another one.    … Expand

    Another Far Cry game that captures most of what I want in a video game.

    What I enjoyed: * The rich, well-written story, and many memorable characters. The story is one of my favorites in any game. * Voice acting.     * Many ways to capture outposts
    * Sniping
    * Many missions find a satisfying balance between appropriate difficulty and urgency
    * Pagan Min, Ravi Ray Rana, and Reggie & Yogi had me laughing throughout the game. Pagan Min's TV broadcast, in particular, had me howling.
    * This can also be annoying (I also listed it as something I don't enjoy) but the complete and utter chaos that can just randomly occur literally ANYWHERE in Kyrat can also be highly entertaining. You might encounter a bear fight, eagle attack, gunboat, several enemy patrols, and a Karma event all at once. You can see how this might become annoying after a while when you're just trying to move around the map, but it can also be completely hilarious.

    What I didn't enjoy:
    * The amount of time it takes to load or reload your game. This can be almost unbearable if you need to redo an area several times.
    * Too many random encounters. This is mostly remedied by getting the 87 shotgun early in the game, and by vehicles and fast travel, but it can still be annoying if you need to run somewhere. I recall one spot where the entire area was just littered with dozens of animal and guard bodies, it looked like a post-apocalypse and all I was trying to do was run from point A to point B.
    * Accidentally swapping guns when I want to loot a body. When you kill an enemy, they drop their gun. You then have the option to HOLD (E) pick up their gun, which drops your current one, or also (E) loot the body. I did this so many times. Why hold E? Why not just tap it and get a loot screen with the gun and body loot all together in one place like a normal game? It's just such a weird design decision to mess up since so many games have done it right in the past.
    * In general, I did not like the Shangri La levels. I like the look and idea of Sangri La, but they are poorly executed. All your weapons are swapped out for a basic Shangri La bow which isn't all that fun to use. They also have some gimmick you have to figure out like "perform a takedown on this guy 3 times," only it doesn't tell you to do it 3 times, it only tells you once, so I was sitting there shooting him over and over with the bow for no reason. The core combat is so fun and satisfying, it's just a total letdown to swap out all your favorite guns for some basic bow and do clunky, gimmicky combat instead. I would just skip the atrocious Superman 64 flying level altogether.
    * A few special events irritated me like Jalendu Temple where I kill all guards and destroyed all 4 alarms without being detected and reinforcements were still called in. Who exactly called them in, and how? Everyone was dead, and all the alarms were disabled.
    * They didn't let us have Kyrat Fashion Week? SERIOUSLY? I was looking forward to that almost as much as ridding Kyrat of Pagan Min. BOO!

    Special:
    * Interface - There are a LOT of buttons in this game because there are so many things you can do. This can be frustrating at first, but it feels very good when you get used to everything. I also found it pretty easy to get lost on the keyboard at critical moments and hit the wrong key, but this was mostly remedied with practice. After getting used to all the keys, I really love the default layout.

    Overall:
    Far Cry 4 is a classic and a personal favorite of mine with a few slight blemishes I'm not willing to knock off a star for since the game is so amazing.    … Expand

    I'm going to go against the grain of the 'User' reviews here because this is my game of the decade (2010's).
    The mainstream trend are the people that cry out that this game is ''FC 3.5''. This could not be any less accurate. The facts are that it's a totally different storyline (and wow, what an Epic stage you are set here). Far-Cry 3 appears to be aimed at teens, Far Cry 4 is the far more understanding, grown-up affair.

    I disliked the wannabe-edgy, tightly-wound cliched plot of FC3. I liked the 'voodoo slant' it had, it by no means is 'bad' but it's just basically another drug baron fest with the usual ''characters'' all macho burly men and blabla yea whatever. ''Avenge you slain brother/sister''. ''Oh, your friend's getting tortured by generic-villain X, avenge!!'' Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. Never heard those before!

    But hey, these sort of easy-cheap 'stories' and 'characters' sell, don't they?

    Far Cry 4 is civil war. The setting is incredible; there's no deep ''jungle warfare'' or trenches or boring tactics here: instead Kyrat is open, mountainous with tonnes of nooks and crannies (where the sidequests take place).

    It's an Open-World playground where your meaning has actual severe weighting on a nation. Kyrat is distinct, and has the token 'Far Cry oddities' in the lore of the legends; hallucinogenic tripfests that manifest themselves in the game's side-quests.

    These are weird, trippy and an amazing experience that have a neat 'boss' battle tossed in normally at the end. You encounter the ancient lore and history of the region 1st hand in this 'zone'. Strange versions of tigers, a Masked-maniac ancient assassin, even a Yeti!

    Not the silly stage where you're teleported into a small dark-room totally unexplained to engage in a boring weird fight between a drug baron wielding a knife that makes 0 sense. Is it the 'dagger' doing that? It's never explained anyway. Try using a proper sword Far Cry 3 xD

    Anyway; this gives you many weapons; knives, AR's, MG's and RL's. You ride a neat makeshift scrapyard influenced min-copter that is surprisingly efficient.

    The neat thing is; at the 'turning point' of the game, you have to pledge allegiance with one of the 3 'leaders'. And this is the amazing part; none of them are really ''Good''. There's no ''avenge the bad guyyy!1'' here; this is an uneasy, unsettling fork in your life-story to own a whole region, your own country.

    What does FC3 give you? Nothing. There's an option to kill all your friends anyway which is stupid and flies in the face of the so called ''avenge your brother'' narrative they want to push. What's that all about? Makes 0 sense. You're just given the choice and what's your reward; FC3 shows you no ''Aztec Pyramid of Gold'' or a whole armory of the most badass weapons to rule the island with (for the bad guy ending). It's pointless.

    FC4 gives you a Nation with post side quests to perk your tools POST-GAME. It's absolutely satisfying and to also know, you have a very powerful ally you sided with who is now BENEATH YOU in serving you.

    At least these aren't your friends but killing one of Amita, Subhal or Pagan still leaves you with a weird, uneasy feeling.

    None of them are designed ''ugly''. Subhal looks like your best m8 dude. Pagan has amazing tastes in suits and Amita is the 'treasured girl'. But all have blood on their hands, it almost frustrates you but then you suddenly realise - what is power?

    You realise the maturity in knowing, owning a Nation, total power - you're never totally 'clean'. Yet, you have so much power. Kids waxing on FC3's ''avenge himm!!!'' simpleton story just will not understand the meaning behind civil war.

    I could go on about the actual gameplay mechanic, the details of the wildlife but honestly, it'd fill 2 pages. The game of course is not 'perfect perfect'; you will find a few 'expected' Open-world flaws such as the story being just 'too loose' for some and enemy AI can be poor. And on normal settings, it's just too easy, with too many perks and abilities to re-gain your health even mid-battle!

    Inquisitive, thought-provoking, trippy, mature - with a playground of riches, wildlife and oddities to discover all beneath your 2 feet. Glorious!    … Expand

    Завязка сюжета по своей структуре аналогична третьей и последующим частям серии. Главный герой Аджай Гейл попадает на вражескую территорию, наполненную не только блокпостами и деревеньками, а ещё и опасным животным миром и различными биомами. В течение игры протагонисту предстоит узнать историю, связанную с ним кровными узами, а также выбрать судьбу родной страны - Кирата.

    Но не всё так просто в сюжете. Некая изюминка и недоговорённость сохранились. И в конце концов вы задумаетесь, кто ваш друг, а кто враг. Это достигается тем, что характеры персонажей, в том числе и харизматичного главного злодея Пейгана Мина, не лежат на ладони, а требуют глубокого анализа.

    Игровой процесс же не изменился с предыдущей части, но оброс массой и некоторыми нововведениями. К примеру, на горы и уступы теперь можно подниматься при помощи крюка-кошки. Арсенал вооружения стал намного богаче и интереснее.

    Открытый мир изменился. Стало больше вершин и непроходимых мест. Благо для такого рода препятствий разработчики припасли вертолёт. Побочные задания стали интереснее. Теперь за некоторыми стоят новые персонажи, сами цели изменились. Каскадёрские гонки, битвы на арене, ловля экзотических животных - всё это ждёт вас в Кирате.

    Сюжетная кампания также хороша. Есть разнообразные миссии, можно делать выборы на чью сторону встать, что в итоге приведёт к изменению некоторых целей. Дополнение "Побег из Дургеша" позволяет вам проверить навыки боя, а в "Долине Йети" выживут лишь самые отмороженные.

    После прохождения основной кампании, как было сказано выше, можно прибегнуть к официальным DLC. Кроме этого, доступны сетевые режимы и пользовательские карты, на которых можно провести много часов интересного геймплея.

    Четвёртая часть серии "Far Cry" не смогла стать такой же шедевральной, как третья, в основном из-за более приземлённого сюжета, которому не хватает глубины и загадочности. В остальном же это отличный боевик, который закономерно развил механики, заложенные в Far Cry 3.    … Expand

    Все говорят что FC3 лучше но я начал знакомство с серией с FC4. И знаете FC4 очень добротная и хорошая игра из серии. Также хочется отметить уж очень хорошуго главного злодея, отыграно на все 200%.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Far Cry 4'ü oynarken gerçekten de keyif aldım. Far Cry 4, Far Cry 3'e çok benzese de bir önceki oyunda iyi yapılan şeyleri daha da geliştirmiş ve önceki oyundaki bazı eksiklikleri gidermiş. Oyunun hikayesini anlatmaya başlayayım. Oyunda Ajay Ghale isimli karakteri kontrol ediyoruz. Ajay, annesinin son dileğini gerçekleştirmek için Himalayalar'daki "Kyrat" isimli yere gider ve "Lakshmana" isimli yeri bulmaya çalışır. Kyrat'a giriş yapacağı sırada Kyrat kralı Pagan Min'in adamları tarafından Ajay'in bulunduğu minibüs durdurulur ve ufak bir çatışma çıkar. Daha sonra Pagan Min bölgeye gelir ve adamlarına "size otobüsü durdurun dedim, ateş edin demedim" diyerek kendi adamlarından birini öldürür. Ardından Ajay ve yanındaki kişiyi alan Pagan Min onları kendi sarayına götürür. Pagan, Ajay'in yanındaki kişiyi sorgu için aşağı götürür ve Ajay'e burada beklemesini söyler. İlginç olan şu ki oyuncu eğer Pagan'ın söylediğini yapıp burada beklerse bir süre sonra Pagan geri döner, Ajay'i alıp annesinin son dileğini Ajay ile birlikte yerine getirir ve oyun biter. Yani evet, oyun başlangıçtan itibaren hiçbir şey yapmadan yalnızca bekleyerek bitirilebiliyor. Eğer oyuncu beklemeyip kaçarsa oyun başlıyor. Sabal adındaki "Altın Yol" liderlerinden biri gelip Ajay'i alıyor ve ona babası Mohan'ı tanığını söylüyor. Pagan'ın adamlarına izlerini kaybettirdikten sonra Sabal, Ajay'i Altın Yol'un destekçilerinin olduğu bir yere götürüyor. Ajay burada Amita ve Bhadra ile tanışıyor. Amita da Sabal gibi Altın Yol'un liderlerinden biri. Sabal gelenekçi ve eski geleneklere sadık kalınmasını isteyen bir liderken Amita da onun tam tersi eski geleneklerden kurtulmak isteyen ve yenilik yanlısı bir lider. Bhadra da ailesi öldürüldükten sonra Altın Yola katılmış bir çocuk ve Altın Yol'un destekçileri onun "Tarun Matara" isimli bir tanrının reenkarnasyonu olduğuna inanıyor. Ajay, Altın Yol'a büyük katkılar sağladıktan sonra Altın Yol içerisinde yükselir ve Altın Yol liderliği için Sabal ve Amita'dan birini seçer, kimin seçileceğine oyuncu karar verir. Aralarından biri seçildikten sonra hikaye ilerleyince seçilen kişi, Ajay'den diğerini öldürmesini ister. Oyuncu isterse diğerini öldürebilir isterse de bağışlayabilir. Daha sonra Pagan'ın komutanı olan Yuma ortaya çıkar ve Ajay'e annesinin Pagan'ı baştan çıkarttığını (Pagan ile Ajay'in annesi daha önce sevgililerdi) anlatır. Bir süre geçtikten ve Ajay ile Altın Yol güçlendikten sonra Ajay, Yuma'yı öldürür ve Pagan'ı da öldürmek için onun sarayına gider. Pagan'ın adamlarını öldürdükten sonra Ajay içeri girer. Pagan tıpkı oyunun ilk başında olduğu gibi bir sofra hazırlamıştır. Pagan, Ajay'e en başta kaçmak yerine bekleseydi bunların yaşanmamış olacağını söyler ve ardından Ajay'e isterse kendisini burada vurabileceğini, isterse de birlikte yemek yedikten sonra annesinin son dileğini yerine getirebileceklerini söyler. Oyuncu Pagan'ı vurmayı seçerse Pagan ölür ve her şey biter, Ajay de Lakshmana'yı bulamadığı için annesinin son dileğini yerine getiremez. Oyuncu uzlaşmayı seçerse yemekten sonra Pagan onu Lakshmana'ya götürür ve Ajay, annesinin son dileğini yerine getirir. Ardından Pagan Min krallığı Ajay'e devrederek helikopter ile gider. Oyunun hikayesi bu şekildeydi, hikaye çok derin ve detaylı değil ve senaryo konusunda birçok eksiklik mevcut. Hikaye sunumunda ise biraz gelişme var, ara sahneler önceki oyundan daha iyi, bu da sunumu güçlendirmiş. Ayrıca hikayedeki bilinmezlik de hoşuma gitti, oyunun sonuna geldiğimizde bunca zaman iyi tarafta mıydık yoksa değil miydik diye sorguluyoruz. Hikaye kısmındaki bir diğer eleştirim ise aynı önceki oyunda bulunan Vaas gibi bu oyunda da Pagan'ın yeteri kadar işlenmemiş olması, Pagan oyunda yalnızca 20 dakika civarı görünüyor. Oynanış olarak oyun Far Cry 3'e çok benziyor ve yapılan geliştirmelerle oynanış daha keyifli hale gelmiş. Vuruş hissi olarak oyun yine fena değil, silah türleri ve silah özelleştirmeleri de oldukça çeşitli ve iyi, hissiyat olarak da silahların farklılıkları hissedilebiliyor. Yetenek ağacı büyük oranda önceki oyunundaki ile aynı olsa da yeni yetenekler eklenmiş ve çeşitlilik sağlanmış. Yeni birkaç araç (helikopter ve hava yastıklı tekne gibi) oyuna eklenmiş. Ancak yapay zeka maalesef hiç iyi değil. Görev çeşitliliği konusunda bu oyunu bir öncekine göre daha çeşitli bulsam da yine görevler birbirini çok tekrar ediyor. Grafiksel olarak yedinci jenerasyondan sekizinci jenerasyon konsollara geçilmesinin etkisi ile büyük gelişmeler var, performans konusunda da oyunu serinin önceki oyununa göre daha stabil buldum. Far Cry 4, Far Cry 3 formülünü başarılı bir şekilde devam ettiren ve onu geliştirmeyi başarmış bir oyun.… Expand

    Far Cry 4 is interesting, but the most special game for me is not the best game. Pagan Min is a crazy character like most Far Cry games but I love this game.

    While this is far from a perfect game, I had a really fun time running around, doing side quests, and killing the royal army. The story was good, the graphics looked really nice, the bosses were challenging and unique, etc. However the sound quality wasn't the best, and many weapons felt way too weak or way too strong.     It's a far cry game so the gameplay is obviously fun. The story was interesting sometimes but not all the time. The story is at its best when the pagan min is involved. Pagan min is performed extremely well by troy baker. It's kinda sad that the character is absent for a large part of the game. No other characters come even close to being as interesting as him.     The political context and all the correlation with the Nepalese history makes Kyrat overcome the country created in Far Cry 3, but Far Cry 4 does not carry the same weight in its history and seems to have taken the unreal concept that "the good villains are the ones who make Far Cry". It's not just the good villains, but the good protagonists, and Ajay don't have all the potential to this.

Я прошёл игру, стараясь упускать побочный мусор от юбисофт, чтобы погрузиться в прекрасную игру. Прошел я Фар Край 4 за 16 с половиной часов. Больше всего мне понравились сюжет, геймплей, персонажи, стрельба, актёры.
    Коротко о геймплее и открытом мире: это обычный шутер с десятками оружия, в котором тебе нужно продвигаться по сюжеты, захватывать вышки, аванпосты. Открытый мир выглядит живым, но большинство побочек, собирательств и т.д. - это просто мусор.
    О сюжете: Аджай Гейл (главный герой игры) отправляется в город Кират, чтобы развеять прах матери, но по дороге машину останавливают вооружённые злодеи во главе с Пэйганом Мином(главным антоганистом игры) и Пэйган убивают дружка Аджая, который в итоге выбирается из плена Мина и у него появляется новая цель: убить Пэйгана Мина. После чего начинается сама игра. Потом Гейл замечает, как Амита и Сабал ссорятся и не могут принять общее решение. Здесь был выбор и я встал на сторону Амиты, выполнил пару-тройку миссий для неё, после чего поумнел, и когда был следующий выбор, я встал на сторону Сабала. Дальше мы рушим планы Пэйгана, убиваем его солдат, убиваем нескольких помощников Юмы (Юма - это помощница Пэйгана Мина). После этого всего, Аджая Гейла снова поймали в плен. На этот раз дозорила Юма. Она его накачала чем-то и он видел галлюцинации. В итоге он сбежал. Начинается 3-ий акт. Аджай и Сабал продолжают рушить планы Пэйгана. Мин наслал на Гейла Юму и Аджай отправился за ним. Она снова накачала его какими-то веществами, но он смог её вслепую, видя галлюцинации, убить. Спустя какое-то время они застали Пэйгана и погнали за ним. Аджай догнал Мина и убил его...
    Но это оказался его двойник. Приключения ещё не закончились. Амита стала пытаться убить армию Пэйгана и самого Мина, совсем не заботясь о городе. Она чуть не уничтожила одну крепость, но её атаки были отражены Золотым путём. Сабал дал поручение Гейлу убить Амиту, которая не соблюдает давние традиции Золотого пути. В итоге Аджай Гейл застрелил Амиту. Остался только Пэйган. Армия Золотого пути захватила одну из главных крепостей протагониста. Дальше Аджай Гейл ворвался во дворец Пэйгана. Мин предложил ему не убивать его, а просто развеять прах матери и остаться в мире. Аджай достал пистолет и застрелил Пэйгана. Конец
    Это был краткий пересказ сюжета.

Every character in this game is well made, they are interesting in their own way and definitely not boring. Like the humor and jokes in here. The dilemma which site player should choose is interesting and problematic but it was a huge fun for me. The world looks astonishing.Far Cry 4 is a really solid open world RPG with satysfying first-person shooting mechanics which i enjoyed a lot. Every character in this game is well made, they are interesting in their own way and definitely not boring. Like the humor and jokes in here.     The gameplay is also incredible, the player has so many takedowns options and they all are fun and simple to execute as every game should be. It is sensational trying to invade an enemy base just to try to kill everyone with takedowns, it is the best part of the game. Also, I really love the healings animation.

    Also, I've played Far Cry 3 and I like way more the 4. I think pretty much all things were improved, even the story I think the 4 is better.    … Expand

    Ничем особо не выделяется не плохой и не хороший. Местами интересный. Есть захватывающие задания. Короче противостояние супер кончерватизма, супер прогрессивизма, и Мина. 7.5/10

    Карта.

    Карта хорошая. Юг Кирата очень красивый. Север менее красивый чем юг. Очень понравились внешне города (Уткарш и Тиртха). 8/10

    Физика + геймплей.

    Классическая пострелушка. Классная на мой взгляд физика оружия и его звук. Крафт сумок лично мне показался маленьким ибо я в первой четверти выкачивал все сумки на 3 уровень и просто бегал по аванпостам в поисках заданий “Недели моды Кирата” или как-то так. Оружия достаточно на момент выхода, на 2022 маловато. 9/10    … Expand

    Pagan Min nimmt während der Story die ganze Zeit Kontakt zu einem auf und ist dabei immer sehr höflich aber natürlich gestört. In dem DLC Escape from Prison oder wie das auch immer heißt gibt er dir auch Anweisungen wie du gegen seine eigenen Leute überlebst, schon ziemlich cool. Neben den 32 Story-Missionen kann man auch 24    Far Cry ist eine sehr coole und durchgeknallte Spielreihe.
    Pagan Min nimmt während der Story die ganze Zeit Kontakt zu einem auf und ist dabei immer sehr höflich aber natürlich gestört. In dem DLC Escape from Prison oder wie das auch immer heißt gibt er dir auch Anweisungen wie du gegen seine eigenen Leute überlebst, schon ziemlich cool. Neben den 32 Story-Missionen kann man auch 24 Außenposten einnehmen, welche einem weitere Nebenaktivitäten freischalten, das sind so Aufgaben wie Attentate, jemanden heimlich killen oder mit einer bestimmten Waffe, etwas mit einer bestimmten Waffe jagen, woraus man sich dann Stufe 4/4 von seinem Waffengurt etc. freischalten kann, Bomben entschärfen, wenn man bemerkt wird, schalten sie sie scharf und man hat nur noch 15 Sekunden pro Bombe (ist eig immer schaffbar), Propagandazentren zerstören oder Geiseln befreien, da geht es um Taktik, erstmal alle aufdecken, dann die auf erhöhten Positionen ausschalten und dann auf den Rest draufstürmen oder von hinten einen Takedown durchführen. Ich hab diese Missionen so gut wie alle mit der Predator gemacht (schallgedämpfte Sniper). Dazu gibt es auch 17 Glockentürme, die ich auf der erste Map-Hälfte alle bestiegen bin, aber ich der zweiten alle mit einem Gyrokopter abgeflogen bin und immer ganz oben geparkt habe, ja das einparken ist etwas tricky und er ist mir zum Glück erst beim 17. Glockenturm runtergefallen, weil die Rotoren diesmal nicht aufhören wollte, bis der Holzbalken endlich platz macht. Dazu noch 4 Festungen, welche geschwächt werden, wenn ihr jeweils 25% der Story abgeschlossen habt, es gibt quasi 4 hohe Tiere in diesem Spiel, welchen die Festungen gehören, die machten mir besonders viel Spaß einzunehmen.

    Es gibt auch noch bunte Buchstaben auf der Map, das orange L ist ein durchgeknallter "Priester" mir fällt das richtige Wort gerade nicht ein, aber er möchte seine Sünden wieder reinwaschen und lässt einen Blutdiamanten und Waffen sammeln, in dem man sich irgendwo reinkämpft, einen Haufen Gegner killt und sich wieder rauskämpft und dabei einen Haufen Gegner killt. Dann gibt es Yogi & Reaggie, zwei Kiffer die bei dir im Garten wohnen und dich immer mal wieder ziehn lassen, worauf du nackt und auf Drogen über die Map läufst, um diene Ausrüstung wieder zu erlangen, macht es verdammt viel Spaß. Das erste Mal, wenn man sie antrifft zählt nicht zu derer Reihe, das gehört zu Shangri La. Da gelangt man nach Shangri La und 5 Tanka Stücke zu beschaffen und kämpft gegen Dämonen, um Sangri La zu verteidigen, auch interessant aber nach dem Fluggedöns hatte ich darauf keinen Bock mehr (benutzt dafür unbedingt einen Controller! Fahren kann man auch mit Maus & Tastatur sehr gut aber mit den Controller ist auch das nochmal besser, wo wir gerade beim Controller sind, ihr braucht ihn, um mit LT ein Seil runterrutschen zu können, für die Tastatur gibt es KEINE Belegung dafür, ihr könnt nur das Seil lösen und dann seid ihr tod!) Es gibt auch noch das blaue H, das sind Hurk-Aufgaben und ist wohl DLC, kann man ganz normal wie L, Y und Shangri La während bzw. zwischen der Kampange gespielt werden, Hurk macht mit Yogi & Reaggie am meisten Spaß, der steckt immer in Schwierigkeiten und verpackt es so, als sei er erst fast in Schwierigkeiten bzw, könnte in welche hinein geraten und dann rettet ihr ihn oder er bittet euch was zu beschaffen, dann findet ihr es und ups, auf einmal sind da sehr viele Gegner, die das auch haben wollten, macht wirklich Spaß! Von diesen Charakter-Missionen gibt es übrigens immer 4, manchmal 5, wobei das erste Mal dann nur einen Kennenlernen mit ihnen ist.

    Natürlich gibt es auch wieder Sammelbares, Propagandaposter (150) die man, wenn man drankommt mit E abreißen oder wenn man nicht dran kommt mit einen Molotow abbrennen kann, Mani-Mühlen (30) die man drehen kann, dafür gibts auch Kharma, man kann da Level 8 erreichen, um eine bestimmte einzigartige Waffe zu bekommen (das sind die besten Waffen, die haben bestimmte Aufsätze wie einen Schalldämpfer etc.), Bücher (20) einsammeln oder Mörder Masken (80) einsammeln oder zerstören.

    Über das DLC Escape from Prison oder wie auch immer das heißt müssen wir nicht wirklich drüber reden, man startet auf einem Turm und hat 30 Minuten Zeit die Exfiltrationszone zu erreichen, wo man den Helikopter mit dem man dann entkommt 10 Minuten lang beschützen muss, mit Waffen, die man auf dem Weg zur Exfiltrationszone gesammelt hat, man kann diese erlangen, in dem man Außenposten einnimmt oder eine Aktivität macht, wie eine Attentats-Mission, dann wird einem auch etwas Zeit wieder gut geschrieben, man kann auch Poster von der Wand abreißen, welches einem z.b. eine Minute gibt.    … Expand

    Divertido, com boas mecânicas, personagens interessantes e um conflito que pode fazer o jogador escolher algumas atitudes de um lado e outras de outro. Bom arsenal, bom gerenciamento de armas e itens, é um bom jogo com boa diversidade de gameplay e meios para fazer as coisas.

    This is what happens, when you mix up Call of Duty with Cabelas Dangerous Hunts.
    In my humble opinion, Far Cry 4 is the best game in the entire series.

    It's very similar to far cry 3 in some factors like gameplay and graphic.
    It has worst outposts in Far cry series.
    But it has a really impressive story with an awesome ending.
    And It has best soundtrack in Far cry series.

    Far Cry 4's stunning Himalayan setting, refined gameplay, and memorable characters make it a worthy successor to Far Cry 3, even if it feels like an addon/expansion to FC3.

    Far Cry 4 takes the best bits of Far Cry 3, puts a new spin on them and drops its troubling racial politics and constrained mission design. The story and characters a bit more lightweight, but the core remains the same. Overall, this is a leaner, meaner Ubi-style open world experience and the best iteration on the franchise.

    With Far Cry 4 you get what you loved in Far Cry 3 - improved and with some innovations. Playability is great, but it will force you to think of the state of the game industry and everlasting urge of producers to cannibalize their own titles. [Issue#248]
