    excellent, very immersive, big world and full of goals to explore, even if sometimes it is a bit empty and desertic too, but it is pleasant and fun to venture. this description is being written in 2018 so the graphics of the game for me are not the best, but I think that when it was released it should be good for the time. I love the fallout franchise and ill hope to play future releases.

    The second part was legendary. The third part was great. But you have to admit, New Vegas is awesome. A lot of cool innovations, an interesting story, more guns and memorable characters. Good atmosphere. More cool mods. More cool experiences. Definitely recommend it.

    If I included mods in this review, this game would be a perfect 10 but as it stands now without mods i'd say 9 is pretty fair. best entry in the franchise, no contest.

    I discovered this game in January 2019 when i streamed ps now trial for a week (played a little bit of fallout 3 too). I ended up purchasing it on PC ultimate version on sale for 10$ (spent an entire weekend learning how to mod it to function) but it is well worth it In that less than a week trial the game left a greater impression in less than a week than FO4 did in 50 hours (41 in gameI discovered this game in January 2019 when i streamed ps now trial for a week (played a little bit of fallout 3 too).     My first fallout game was FO4...While its streamlining did appeal to me as fresh player. The story line went nowhere fast. I forgot about my kid. (later I find out the music from fallout 3 was repackaged into 4 to my chagrin as I LOVED the music from F:NV

    New vegas is an epic masterpiece of player agency, skill points, builds, STORYLINE that matters, related characters....and most of all OBSIDIAN.

    I took a hiatus from gaming in 2006 (last sytem was a ps2 and nvidia 6600gt graphic card comp) up to 2016 after college when i got a ps4 and a laptop that can handle games older than diablo 3 (nvidia gtx 850m intel I7 4710 2.5ghz? or 3.7?))

    My favorite game back then was KOTOR and KOTOR 2 so the RPG elements in F:NV was a refreshing change from FO4...

    Just play it...The hype is not for no reason and neither is it nostalgia this is the best of the 3d fallouts...    … Expand

    One of the best dialogues and story. Feels like an adult games, not a story for kids where everything is explained and told. A lot of context to every quest and character.
    However, graphics are bad and shooting is terrible.
    Also this game was the best DLCs with amazing story connect with the Fallout lore. (personally, I find DLCs more interesting than the main game)

    Fallout New Vegas was created by Obsidian, many of the people working at Obsidian also worked on Fallout 1 & 2, and it shows.
    The game is a step forward in the franchise and builds on Fallout 3. Everything Fallout 3 did wrong, New Vegas did right. Every thing Fallout 3 did that was amazing, New Vegas did better. The choices you make matter, they impact you and the world around you. The    Fallout New Vegas was created by Obsidian, many of the people working at Obsidian also worked on Fallout 1 & 2, and it shows.
    The game is a step forward in the franchise and builds on Fallout 3. Everything Fallout 3 did wrong, New Vegas did right. Every thing Fallout 3 did that was amazing, New Vegas did better. The choices you make matter, they impact you and the world around you. The game is very in-depth, and makes you question yourself a lot. With many different endings, the game is extremely replay able, and is by far, one of the best, if not the best Fallout game in the franchise.

    This would have gotten a perfect score, but I have to be realistic. The game when it launched was ridden with bugs. With only 1 and a half years of development, there simply wasn't enough time to get rid of the bugs. The graphics for it's time feels very dated and did not improve on Fallout 3. It's an absolutely excellent game, but I can not give it a 10.    … Expand

Fallout NV brings back a darker tone with mature themes and issues that would be more prevalent in the nuclear post apocalypse, that's filled with a great cast of characters to meet.

    However there was a large number of bugs when FNV came out ranging from player characters arms blocking the screen when sneaking, broken quests and crashes, although story & gameplay is just strong enough to get us to forgive the buggy launch state and once the patches rolled out we were left with truly one of the best games of 2010. if you factor in 2-3 good/great pieces of DLC (less said about Lonesome road the better) and you have a great GOTY edition of a game to play.    … Expand

    Sin lugar a dudas es el mejor Fallout de toda la saga, si vienes de Fallout 4 o 76 hay que decir que te vas a encontrar con algo muy distinto en este juego, no se trata de un juego de farmeo y de loot o crear tu propia base.

    Fallout New vegas es un juego que esta diseñado y pensado para rolear y si te gusta aunque sea un poco ese estilo de juego te lo recomiendo 100% porque te puede    Sin lugar a dudas es el mejor Fallout de toda la saga, si vienes de Fallout 4 o 76 hay que decir que te vas a encontrar con algo muy distinto en este juego, no se trata de un juego de farmeo y de loot o crear tu propia base.

    Fallout New vegas es un juego que esta diseñado y pensado para rolear y si te gusta aunque sea un poco ese estilo de juego te lo recomiendo 100% porque te puede llegar a enganchar y estar durante horas explorando el Yermo y mirando en cada esquina.

    No encontraras muchos tiros o situaciones forzadas para pegarse con nukes a diestro siniestro, ano ser que eso sea lo que tu quieres claro, y a eso voy. En este juego puedes hacer literalmente lo que PUTO QUIERAS, tendrás una ""historia base"" (con la cual dar contexto y saber porque estas en el Mojave) y a partir de ahí tu decidirás que ocurrirá y que haces en New Vegas, no como que facción quieres que gobierne el lugar como ocurre en fallout 4, no, aquí todo lo que hagas tiene repercusión.

    Puedes extinguir todas aquellas facciones que no te gustan (o no quieres que participen en la historia) no porque te lo diga alguien o tengas una misión para hacerlo, sino porque tu quieres y si no quieres que estén en el mapa, vas a por ellos y acabas con todos ellos.

    Y no te preocupes por si la misión principal ""se puede estropear"" porque como ya he dicho el mundo y las misiones se ajustan a tus decisiones con miles de opciones, y aquí no hay ningún tipo de personaje ""necesario"" como había en Skyrim y Fallout 4, los cuales no pueden morir porque sin ellos la trama no podría avanzar.

    Si decides diezmar una población mata a todos los lacayos que hay desde la frontera hasta su rey y mata a su "rey" (puede ser presidente, líder, rey líder espiritual o x), simple y llanamente desaparecerán del mapa. Y como no, en la radio y el mundo se hablara de lo ocurrido y afectara a otras facciones y sobretodo ati y tu papel en el mundo.

    La verdad es que es la mejor experiencia fallout que he tenido, y he jugado en este momento a el 3, 4 y 76.    … Expand

    Once more emphasis is on storytelling. It is on world building, on making choices feel like they have consequence. A step away from civil-war type patriotism, and towards a broken world with delicious choices not only black and white- but juicy shades of gray.

    Yes, the graphics was even then aging, but that was perfectly fine. You were in the post apocalyptic Mojave desert- living in a world that took itself seriously enough to make fun of itself without making of itself a cliché. Expanding on the fallout world!

    With this type of storytelling you may as well set the Brotherhood of Steel, Supermutant and whatnot aside. They will create new and just as exciting content for us- and it will make sense in the fallout universe. Imagine the world of the Legion, or their take on the Institute!

    The only thing holding them back: the Elderscrolls formula.

    With this game- I saw the promise of Fallout 3 come to fruition:

    It was made in a year and a half! The work that Obsidian put to the game is amazing! Of course, it uses the same engine as Fallout 3, but the atmosphere is very different. Probably the thing that changes the most is the player's options, roleplay and rpg elements, there's hours and hours of quests, dialogue and fun stuff. I would really recommend the game to someone that has already playedIt was made in a year and a half! The work that Obsidian put to the game is amazing! Of course, it uses the same engine as Fallout 3, but the atmosphere is very different. Probably the thing that changes the most is the player's options, roleplay and rpg elements, there's hours and hours of quests, dialogue and fun stuff. I would really recommend the game to someone that has already played the original games, New vegas is super inspired by them. It's definitely a game that you should check out. Of course, the game has issues and bugs, but to be honest, they don't really destroy the immersion or anything, it's only a problem when it comes to bugs or glitches in the main quests. The game crashing is also an issue but if you don't use much mods you will probably experience little of them. Gameplay is not bad, in the start of the game it is a problem because the weapon shakes a lot (You need to upgrade your weapons skill to shoot straight) Though, the combat is still very cool. The animations are everything you should expect from an rpg, nothing really impressive but again, they don't ruin immersion, not for me at least. But what does DESTROYS the immersion in the game are the invisible walls. They were a minor problem in Fallout 3 but here you will encounter them EVERYWHERE is ridiculous how you can't jump a 2-feet rock because of an invisible wall, specially because sometimes you need to climb stuff for gameplay mechanics, what if you want to climb to that mountain to snipe enemies? NO you can't because there's an invisible wall blocking the way. If you are trying to put one of these invisible walls in a giant mountain just so the player doesn't glitches, that's ok, but sometimes is just plain ridiculous. Now talking about the DLCS : They are not really that surprising, while they do tell backstory of characters and places, and interesting stuff, they are not really that great, they are usually repetitive, dull and sometimes even frustrating. Some enemies from the dlcs are just bullet sponges, or maybe the game adds a new mechanic that seems nice, but very often glitches or doesn't work. Probably the worst thing that some of the dlcs do is remove all of the players's weapons, which is annoying because sometimes it doesn't make any sense to remove player's weapons (especially in dead money) I guess you can say that they add a little something to the game, probably the best things are the weapons you can get, but aside from that they are not really that great or memorable. BUT what i reviewed was pretty much the game itself. It's not bad, it's fun, i have completed it... I don't know, 4 times? It's super fun, even more when adding mods to the formula...     After Playing the game with all the dlc and bug fixes, this game has brought back Fallout's identity of a post apocalyptic America and those struggles of the player to make sense of it, and it does, by giving you the choices Bethesda's Fallout's were not able to deliver

    This is the best game out of the three ‘modern’ Fallouts. Obsidian has improved a lot of features which many Bethesda games often suck at, e.g. player choice, story, interesting NPCs and the added reputation system. Fallout: New Vegas is actually closer to Fallout 1 and 2 than to 3 and 4, and I love it. It's just a shame that its graphics and gunplay are so outdated, even for 2010 standards.

    Too bad that Obsidian didn´t get any time to make this game from Bethesda, imagine what they could have made without the deadlines they gave them, too bad that when it came time that Bethesda made a Game they dropped the ball

    The only one thing i didn't like in this game is poor FPS component. I know RPG component is pretty important, but damn what if i want to shoot up some raiders or like that. The game doesn't fully allow you to play some kind of non-pacifist character cause shooting is bad enough.

    What a game. This and Fallout 2 are my fav games from this series. I love the story and how everything you do actually impacts the story and at the end you can see all your accomplishments/faults. Also the freedom to do anything you want... want to be an **** that steals and kills everything? You can. Want to be the good guy, that resolves violence with conversations? Sure you can. I tried using console commands to teleport to her, turns out she vanished from the entire game world... thought she died, so I resurrected her using commands, still she was nowhere to be found... this kind of bug is gamebreaking, especially when you're playing a "patched" game in 2018 and have already 50 hours of gameplay behind you, I just couldn't start from the beginning, so I had to leave the whole idea of supporting NCR behind. Patch your f***ing game :) Besides that, everything was perfect. Pickens approves!… Expand

    New Vegas is a territory rich in history and characters. The gameplay is a mix of FPS and RPG, although it sometimes falters, it doesn't disappoint and keeps the missions with a certain difficulty, always calling you to think strategically about your resources and where you stand.

    And above all, I loved the space it gives you to role-play and customize your character, creating more than one way to solve the problems that come your way.

    Do not be scared of the graphics and the gunplay of this beautiful game since they are very outdated and old (but you can mod this game to make it look muuuuuuuuuuuch better).
    The thing that makes the game golden its is LORE and STORY the story is one of the best stories of Fallout! It shurely beats the stories that bethesda tries to tell in Fallout 3 , 4 and...    This game is just gold!

    The thing that makes the game golden its is LORE and STORY the story is one of the best stories of Fallout! It shurely beats the stories that bethesda tries to tell in Fallout 3 , 4 and... "76". You choose your path your story your character everything. You have so much freedom that it's unimaginable on todays standars to be honest. I never saw a game TODAY with this much freedom for you character and story! You can kill practicaly everyone in New Vegas and it's so awesome to either be a straight up murdered that goes and kills everything or choose to do the opposite or what ever you wish.
    Know let me start with the story il try not to spoil it il just say the basics.

    You start off the game by getting shot in the head by a character and you are revived by a doctor in Goodsprings. You want to do you revenge twords him so you go around the wasteland and you will find out that there are 3 main factions that is the NCR ( New California Republic) , Ceasars Leagon and Mr House. You choose with which faction you wish to go practicaly with democracy, fascism/nazism or indipented vegas. The game will show how brutal humanity realy is and you will find even little or medium quests on other little factions that make the game even deeper!
    After you choose your faction and do the story in the end you are in a battle of hover dam where you will decide what will happen to the other factions as well.

    The story, the freedom of the world and your character keeps the game alive ( as well mods) so I totaly suggest giving this game a 9.
    I cannot give this game a 10 because this game will love to crash sometimes and does have bugs that you have to fix which its annoying to do but when you atleast fix the majority you will enjoy this game allot!    … Expand

    This is truly an amazing game in terms of overall content and narrative but I have to say that the gameplay is outdated even by the time it was released I must recommend this to anybody

    Fallout: New Vegas is a flawed masterpiece. The graphics were dated even for 2010 (when the title released) and some technical issues still remain. However, everything else about this game is excellent - you should give it a try!

Is some of the best RPG games I ever played, the liberty to do whatever you want to the main Courier is something that shows why Obsidian is still talented in giving a more detailed RPG game that Bethesda will ever reach. The story, the characters, the missions, every aspect of writing in this game is something fantastic and has a very deep dialogue from time toThis game is fantastic. Is some of the best RPG games I ever played, the liberty to do whatever you want to the main Courier is something that shows why Obsidian is still talented in giving a more detailed RPG game that Bethesda will ever reach. The story, the characters, the missions, every aspect of writing in this game is something fantastic and has a very deep dialogue from time to time. All the factions here are in a grey position, so they're not 100% good or 100% evil, everyone has their good and their flaws, and that is what we want in a RPG game.

    However, this game has some flaws... and sadly are big ones, like the unexpected crashes from time to time, is something sad, because the game is awesome to play, but the crashing in it becomes annoying at times, making it impossible to play. And maybe the missions are so simple, but that's because of the lots of cut content that this game has because of the rushed development.

    But I digress, this game is awesome, and everyone with a taste of RPG need to play it at least once, is some of the best RPG shooters out there and you definetly check it out.

    My final rating for this game is a solid 9/10. Has a pretty solid gameplay, a variety of sidequest to make hours and hours of gameplay, and the replay capacity to do another decisions and routes, makes this game an awesome experience in the Mojave desert.    … Expand

    The best 3D Fallout for my opinion. Everything is good in this game, except Oblivion's engine (that causes many bugs and thing like bad shooting mechanics) and unfilled
    huge wastelands between interesting places.

My only main gripe about this game would be the bugs, bug city, the PC version runs the best of the 3, with the PS3 version being a miserable mess of an amazing game. Many of the bugs in this game have never been fixed, and can only be remedied through mods. Thankfully, this game has the best modding communityIn my opinion the best RPG ever made.     The old Obsidian( before the SJWs took over) shows to Bethesda how to make a great game.
    The only weakness is the terrible Bethesda engine, everything else is top quality.
    A must play.

    Interesting story, great soundtrack, the game feels very real. And the dialogs - oh my God! Compared to Fallout 3 and especially F4 feels like whole another level.

    The only thing that is not good - the engine, and therefore, the shooting mechanic. That's the only negative thing I can think of. If not that - game would be the greatest of them all.

    Fallout: New Vegas looks like an Add On to Fallout 3, but that should not mean, that it's a copy of its forerunner. It scores with an great atmosphere, nice story and all the typical and awesome Fallout features.
