    You will like this game if you liked exploring the map in F3/FV/F4 more than following main quest line.
    The map is huge, locations are detailed and are all done in classic Fallout style. It reminds me playing New Vegas or F4 after the main story line is already done, but here with some bonus multiplayer/MMO social elements.

    I actually have the game and I am playing it. Understand that FOV,DOF, Vsync issues can be fixed like every Bethesda game through the .ini file and once you get past that I am absolutely enjoying Fallout76. The world has been fun to explore and the rando's you bump into will give you a Fallout experience like no other. The storytelling interestingly happens through the locations and theI actually have the game and I am playing it. Understand that FOV,DOF, Vsync issues can be fixed like every Bethesda game through the .ini file and once you get past that I am absolutely enjoying Fallout76. The world has been fun to explore and the rando's you bump into will give you a Fallout experience like no other. The storytelling interestingly happens through the locations and the diorama they leave behind which is much prefered to Bethesda wooden NPC's. I would say the looting/leveling up cycle is at its best with this Fallout incarnation. Perk cards are the best mechanic they have come up with.… Expand

    This game is obviously incomplete and not ready for release. It is very buggy and has very poor support for hardware that is relatively common. For example, the game menu will run at 5 FPS if you have a 144hz monitor with gsync. You have to open the nvidia control panel to manually disable gsync if you want the menu and cinematics to function properly.

    The environmental design is very beautiful and almost saves the game. But you still need a functioning game on top of the beautiful environment. The game is very boring until over level 10. But it does get better! I think giving this game a chance is worthwhile.    … Expand

    This game is getting review bombed hard for no reason other than, "It doesn't have X in it! This isn't MY FALLOUT." Calm the hell down people, yes this game is flawed. No, it's not a complete dumpster fire worthy of a 0 score. In reality I think this is about $20 overpriced so those on the fence should wait for a sale.

    Sigh, folks just can’t get their head around something new. They want the same old Fallout, over and over again. They want to march around without any real challenge and get frustrated when their every wish for complete domination is not instantly satisfied. The game is great, I’m enjoying the hell out of it. Real players are much more interesting than cardboard NPCs.

    Albeit negative reviews from angry kids, this game is fun! I had over 15 hours of play time where I enjoyed myself and had tons of funny created moments with other players. PVP is not mandatory which is amazing!
    Sure, the engine is dated and there's a bit of uncanny feel to it, but trust me you will have fun!

    I'm a long term player of the fallout brand.
    This game is really different from the predecessor, but it is really enjoyable and fun to play.
    And when first nuke explode your heart will have a gulp.
    Plenty of enemies and also hard to beat, i suggest this game if you love the fallout universe,
    Forgot, in the beginning the game was really full of bugs, but now they are nearly all fixed.

    Es divertido, yo llevo bastantes horas jugadas, Hay que mejorar cosas , como optimización y bugs , pero vamos se juega perfectamente y es entretenido.

The inarguably bleakest, loneliest, most distressing entry in the series (or possibly of any non-horror game), Fallout 76 had literally everything that made the previous three entries in the series great, and far more besides--more compelling voice logs, terminal entries, interconnectivity between areas, mutated abominations, verticality and variance of locales, everything. Except, of course, for human NPCs. Would I want all my Fallout games to be devoid of human NPCs? Absolutely not, but for one game? Yes, please. It was an experience like no other. Their return with the "Wastelanders" expansion was done fairly well, and I love the game as much as ever now, but I definitely miss the early days of Fallout 76 when it truly felt like you were the first explorers/settlers of a once-pristine wilderness destroyed by the horrors of radiation. But good luck explaining that to anyone when literally everyone's response to "I am really loving Fallout 76" is "that's a joke right? I heard that's the worst game ever." I feel so sorry for everyone who believed the lies rather than trying it out.… Expand

    Fanstatic game, ive gotten to about level 15 so far. Ive destroyed a base, been hunted, setup workshops, farmed and crafted, done quests. It really feels like a Fallout MMO of sorts. I love it.

    Honestly, I do not understand the hate. After 4 hours, the map is huge and with many interesting locations, multiplayer works well, there are both quests and events, base building is better than Ark or Exiles. Controls are awkward, taken from console version, but overall tolerable, even if they should fix it.

    Great game. if you like fallout and have a friend to play with this you will enjoy this game.

    I've encountered a few minor bugs only. Sure, there are likely more that I'm just not seeing, and those should of course be patched, but it is more stable than FO4 on my system.     I believe critics and other players have been very over critical of this game. I have played all the fallout games and other games by Bethesda. This game is different than other fallout games but that is not all that bad. Yes there are a few bugs... but didnt GTAO, and WoW have a buttload of bugs where you couldnt even play the game at launch? Maybe i was lucky. i am sure the bugs will be corrected. The game play is mostly the same except for VATS. But VATS is not all that bad, just different. When exploring the game it felt like any Fallout game that i have played b4. I very much am enjoying the different era of the game, but i would really like to see more gouls and goul citys/towns/settlements, that is really the only thing i would like to see more of. I think the game really has room to grow and in its current form and is really fun. I love Fallout games and this is definately giving me more of what i love!… Expand

    Great game with some weird cult hate that's pretty much become a meme lol. Dunno, try it and see. I didn't get it at launch. Got it after all the negative reviews lol. I don't trust people :P

    Don’t listen to all the reviews, play it for your self. I stayed away from the game because of all the Negative reviews. My buddy convinced me to get it. I honestly have not had as much fun as I’m having now in a long time with a game.

    I have played only Fallout 1 and got bored to it then. That was the reason why I skipped the next Fallout games. Until now I gave it new chance and I'm glad I did.

    The bugs are annoying, sure, but over 40 hours of gameplay later and i can count on one hand how many times my wife and i have both disconnected. The performance needs tweaking, it's definitely not the best and i expect it to improve with time. The worst issue is losing quest progress on daily/side missions if you DC. Most other bugs are the traditional Bethesda, "do i laugh at this or throw my mouse?" bugs. But it WILL get old quick if things aren't ironed out, i'm willing to give them a chance. I will join the pitchfork and torch wielding masses in a few months if they aren't, but i'm not a child, i understand how game development works!

    As an online game, Bethesda's first, i expected bugs and poor performance... that's what i got. As time goes on, i expect less bugs, and better performance, along with DLC to keep me going and quality of life changes. Being an MMO gamer since EverQuest (1999) i'm very used to games like this launching in a terrible state, and being molded together with community and dev alike! Speaking of community, this one is great so far! Very helpful high level players exist everywhere, it's not uncommon to walk out of the vault with stimpacks and guns at your feet in little paper bags! I myself am going back to the vault to leave packages for newbies! We just need notes so we can leave messages :)

    Embrace this time if you like shaping games. If you insist on a feature complete product... steer clear of this and any other MMO's on the market, they aren't for you!    … Expand

    This game is criminally underrated. It seems the people with the worst opinion of it are people who have never played it and developed their opinion based on the 2018 backlash, and people who have sunk thousands of hours into the game expecting it to be something it isn't.

    For a casual player who will probably put a 100/200 hours, maybe a bit more, into it, if you count this game out you're missing a whole new Fallout adventure. Sure, it has its quirks, but its charms more than make up for it. If you love exploring a post-apocalyptic landscape, discovering interesting locations and piecing together what happened, all while listening to some of the best classic music ever made, then you'll *love* this game.

    The multi-player layer on top is well done and subtle. You can participate in it if you want, or ignore it and treat it like a single player game. I am not a multi-player gamer yet I really like the way they did it in this game and it's fun knowing other players are in the world even if I'm largely ignoring them.

    Just keep your expectations realistic and ignore whatever hype made this game seem like it would be some kind of grand MMO experience, because it just won't live up to that and it's okay. And remember, it's an online game, you're going to run into lag and bugs that are actually just network issues, and that's okay.

    If you do that, you'll find you were missing out on a whole new Fallout experience that you might just absolutely love, like I did.    … Expand

    Game is perfectly fine. There are some teething issues and some normal Bethesda bugs but this is par for the course for Bethesda and the same as Skyrim or Fallout 4 in terms of bugs.

    A lot of players are just mad because it s not Fallout 5 and it s multiplayer. The game has its flaws yes but if you like soft survivals games , exploring, and playing with friend it s not a bad game at all.     There are a couple of controversial design choices (such as no human NPCs) that have got people riled up before even trying the game out properly. The rest of the bad reviews are legitimate and due to technical errors and bugs that may make the game unplayable.

    Regardless, I have avoided all of the media hype and trailers/reviews surrounding the game and decided to purchase it after looking at the synopsis a week after release. I thought it sounded intriguing and decided to try it out.

    I personally have played the game for a few hours and I really enjoy it. There is a huge open world to explore and discover, the atmosphere of FO76 is fantastic for someone like me. I usually mod my previous FO titles (3,NV,4 etc) to be difficult and scary survival horror games i a Fallout universe.

    FO 76 delivers the atmosphere; the loneliness, desolation and hostility of a post-nuclear hell-hole!
    You need to make sure you have food, water and shelter and you genuinely feel like a Mad-Max, The Road or even Walking Dead character scavenging the ruins of the old world to try and survive.
    When you finally meet up with another human player and end up working together and bonding through difficult challenges, the experience is just magical and unparalleled! If you aren't capable of experiencing a world yourself and need to be hand-held then you may not appreciate the design of the game in the way it is designed to be explored. Additionally, there is a big chance that you will suffer from awful game-breaking bugs that will totally destroy your ability to have fun with 76...    … Expand

    The brigading here is crazy. I've enjoyed the beta and have been playing nightly since the launch in CO-OP. The story is interesting, following the trail of someone from your vault and learning about the final days of various groups pre and post the nuclear fallout. You will encounter many NPCs and help them along or take the traditional steps of appeasing them.

    Current bugs involve the rare quest tracking issue, encountered it once and fixed via relog. Main annoyance is that the game is fussy about moving bases from one location to another when it comes to transferring a structure to unlevel ground. This is still the most expansive base-building has been in this franchise.

    I love that the game is an ongoing, online effort for reasons of keeping it live and updated with fixes and improvements. Combined with future modding and 76 has the potential to be the most supported and updated and patched game Bethesda has ever released. I look forward to updates..    … Expand

    Love how this game leaves it up to you to figure things out instead of spoon feeding every thing to you. there is a ton of content you just have to pay attention and on top of that it allows to you to inject your own story into the game

    I played this game for arround 100 hours i think. i don't like it, however Bethesda is clearly listening. They will add NPC's .. so here is a better review :) thank you Bethesda

    This game is a refreshing take on the Fallout formula, it's an excellent addition to the franchise, and will only get better as time goes on as new content is added (for free as-well, No paid DLC will release for this game) There are many features that i wish was in Fallout 4, such as Crafting weapons & Armor from scratch. Also there are endless possibilities for this game, Want to have a little farm and grow food to sell to other players? Totally possible, Want to raid other player's Workshops to steal their resources & Claim it for yourself? Totally possible. Want to gang up with strangers, making friends, & completing quests & events together? Totally possible, i could go on and on. Literally the only issue i had with this title is some frame-rate slow downs in certain areas, but that is an easy fix that an optimization patch would clear up. This game has loads of potential and is a ton of fun, Totally worth the $60 price tag. While playing solo is possible, it is more fun with friends, but going rogue & playing solo also has its perks. I'd highly recommend you try this game for yourself, Ignore the hate that this game is getting because it's currently trendy to hate on it.     Take it from someone who actually owns this game (unlike most review bomz) it’s insanely fun. And if you can find it for a slight discount then even better. Money sells spent. No monthly fee.

    If you hated fallout 4 then this isn’t for you. If you loved that game you’ll love this. The added elements are exciting as heck.

Having no HUMAN NPCs is not that bad, and it servers an interesting plotline and strongly explains what happens to them within the game itself.

    At this present time i will admit there are a few minor bugs but everything can be worked around and nothing is major. I simply put am loving this game. From questing to the story line to turning my character into some kind of melee monster. I cant get enough and the expansions when they come will be amazing.

    Most of the "reviewers" have clearly not played the game and are full of lies. It's a completely new type of game, part fallout, part survival, part mmo.

    Yes there is story, no you can't be griefed in pvp it's optional, yes it feels a bit like a console port, microtransactions are cosmetic.

    it's fun and there is a ton of content. Plus play Fallout with friends

    I'm giving it a 10 because kids are trolling the rating by giving lower scores, in reality I would give it something closer to 7. Honestly it is an average game that starts extremely slow with little to no explanation on whats what.     I'm absolutely loving every minute of Fallout 76. Playing with friends, building settlements, building and repairing weapons, exploring etc.
    I have yet to experience any game breaking bugs, or any bugs for that matter.
    Amazing game if you're going in solo or with friends (true experience with friends imo) and love the Fallout series.

    The game is a fun open world experience. All the bad reviews are today's social media buffoons with no life other than taking to complaining that they woke up again. So enjoy and explore. Play your way in a team, with a friend or on your own. It is enjoyable, like everything in life some experiences are good, others you pass on. if your a buffoon you make the whole world amused by your ramblings.

    The game IS Fallout. If you like Fallout you'll like this.. There's plenty of things to do in the game. It's practically identical to Fallout 4 and uses a lot of the same assets. Every 2-4 weeks they've been adding GBs of content and updates too. I am very happy with the money I spent on this. I find it hard to believe there's so many zero ratings. I think a lot of these people haven't even tried the game yet and are just being tools riding the rage train.

    Anyways bout the game. It's Fallout.. It's fallout, it's fallout... You either like Fallout or you hate it.

    Graphics are great but if you really want to customize them you need to find the ini file and edit the settings there. Game uses a lot of the assets from Fallout 4 so you'll see a lot of familiar things.
    It is a resource hog so with a decent rig you're gonna struggle with framerate. (get used to tweaking)

    Sound is good but could use some better 3D positioning. The vertical position is a lil off and obstructions don't alter the sound as it should. Like if I hear you shoot a gun on the other side of a house it will sound no differ if I remove that house.

    Gameplay is typical Fallout 3,4. It really doesn't feel much differ accept vats is in real time so you have to be quick if your build focuses on using it. Lot of guns, melee weps, explosives to choose. Typical first/thirdperson shooter with melee. Almost feels like Dying Light but without the parkour. Instead you have mech suits with jetpacks and mutations that make your run faster or jump higher.
    PVP is meh.. Because if you attack someone they only take like 5% damage UNLESS they fight back and THEN they take full damage from your attacks. SO that leaves out the stealthy sneaky builds to initiate a fight, but that's why in March they are going to release a unrestricted PVP server and THAT is in my opinion when everyone should pick up the game. It's be much more exiting knowing anyone can wack you at any moment and take your stuff (just junk, not your gear). There's also a public base mechanic where you take over a base already in the world in order to get certain loot over time as you control it. Other players can contest that base and try to steal it and you have to fight them off. You are however able to build turrets and other defenses to protect it from them and waves of occasional monsters.
    Perk system, stat distribution, and mutations are extensive. I highly recommend looking into an online planner to plan your character's build. There's just thousands of ways you can build your character. It's practically unlimited depending on your combo of gear, mutations, perks, whether or not you use Power Armor and/or what type of legendary effects you have on your normal armor...

    Content isn't bad. There's a few dozen differ enemies. A month in and I still haven't seen everything. Granted I've just been grinding away instead of doing the story or side missions. Which I only just started working on. Weapons can be upgraded like barrel, stock, receiver, magazine/clip, scope, etc plus you can find legendary versions with mutators like making the ammo explosive. Kinda like Borderlands. Can build your own base then pack it up and deploy it where ever you want. The world itself is pretty big. Definitely bigger than fallout 4. Quests aren't bad either and a lot of them will kinda force people together whether to kill each other or work together.

    I enjoyed Fallout 4 and I pretty much got what I expected from Fallout 76. I'm not a huge story guy so lacking NPCs really didn't do much for me as I usually skip the dialog and just hurry back to the fighting anyways. There are NPCs but they are just voices over a radio that give you missions, robots that sell stuff, or this one traveling super mutant merchant and his pet cow.
    It has some quarks but from what I see Bethesda has and is making an honest attempt at correcting things as they come up. So far it looks like every month they release patches and updates and quite big ones too.
    I can definitely see where people are coming from at release though. The game did have a lot of game breaking crap wrong with it. I guess I'm just lucky I started after most of that got fixed. Just a bummer that I'm stuck playing legit with a bunch of people that exploited the game, BUT when the pure PVP server comes out everyone will have to start over so I'm really looking forward to that.    … Expand

    It's a fun sandbox survival game, set in one of my favorite game universes. I've thoroughly enjoyed exploring and playing the game.

    However, it isn't the multiplayer Fallout game that people wanted, and so they can't seem to enjoy it for what it offers. Their loss, I say.

    Personally the game for me is a seven in its current state, it has an amazing open world and quite interesting lore. The games bugs have been mostly fixed and its story is actually not bad, makes me wish that they game had NPCs (at launch) so we could have actually seen the events transpire

    My first Fallout and i love it. I like the depth of camp building an crafting, just the right amount of depth.
    I don't care what the wannabe Fallout circlejerks tell this Fallout hooked me especially because of its multiplayer options. It has tons of story and quests.

    Insane game. Always loved all fallout games for that autistic wasteland waste looting with beloved old jazz songs on radio. The fact that this game hasn't any NPC is great because it boosts that autistic feeling so much. No npc + rare players meetings - that thing leaves you alone in this world. Fantastic!

    The game itself is a great expierience. Bad score is because people from gaming subreddit didnt know that this is multiplayer game and you need to have friends to play it, which they dont have. Im not blaming them, its just sad to see how they express frustration on this wonderfull game.

    Finally, you can do the restoration of the world yourself, and not just run around the ruins collecting endless-useless food and water. It would be nice to add more influence of weather, such as cold or wetness.

Instead of dialogue tree's largely feeding you the story, you as the player are dropped into a largely NPC void world pushed into digging up the story behind mysteries and events that take place in this game through Holotapes, Notes, Terminals, and the occasional Robot NPC. If you've played through Darksouls or Bioshock, its very similar.

    The progression system is more indepth than that of Fallout 4 and i'd consider it a major improvement. In Fallout 4 there was no thought behind your choices. You could end up with any and all skills as well as maxed out specials at some point during your play time. With Fallout 76 you are limited in how many special points you may place which limits how many perk cards you can take depending your point allocation. This promotes building a character to fill a specific role which is something that was sorely missed from previous Fallout titles.

    The world is expansive and beautiful. My major issues with Fallout games of the past was the limited biomes in each game. 76 manages to change things up with multiple different location biomes that show off varying color pallets and themes as you explore them making it very easy to get lost in the world provided to you.

    Free DLC! Yep, Bethesda will be supporting the game with free DLC for its entire life cycle! Which is always a welcome thing to see in a gaming universe that is now seemingly dominated with Triple A titles selling players cut content in the form of DLC.

    This game DOES have flaws. While it is most definitely fun to play and a great time, this game is host to a few issues you should be made aware of.

    This game is clearly a console port done pretty poorly. It lacks a lot of features and options in the client that are pretty common place in most PC games which forces you to play around with your INI file to solve most of them. That being said, not all options can be solved with the INI. Push to talk being a feature that makes sense just not being in the game.

    This is a Bethesda title. Meaning its plagued by some of the same issues you'd expect from a Bethesda title. Like their game engine tied to FPS, or various performance hitches in crowded areas of the map. While some of this can be fixed while adjusting your INI it doesn't solve all problems and can definitely be a pain in the butt.

    For what its worth this IS a good game. However if you're looking for your typical single player Fallout this is not going to be it but again that doesn't make this game bad.

    This game is an easy 7 1/2 or an 8. However, i'm giving it a 10 to help counteract the four chan brigade hitting this game with 0's because they're upset that the game isn't New Vegas 2.    … Expand

    Even though I was a huge Fallout 3 fan, I held off on buying this game because I saw it got some bad early reviews and because I wasn't convinced my 6 year old PC with a 3 year old graphics card could handle it. But this weekend it was on sale and I decided to give it a shot.

    The neck beards complaining about the lack of npc's are literally just scrounging for any excuse to hate on this masterpiece. First off, this game has TONS of npc's. The definition of a npc is a character that is not controlled by a player. Therefore every enemy you encounter (and there are literally thousands of them) is an npc so the complaint that this game has no npc's is objectively FALSE. Second, there are literally thousands of lines of dialogue in this game so people complaining about the lack of npc's have definitely never even played it and/or are unable to play a game without the game holding their hand the whole way.

    Multiplayer is a blast whether solo or with friends. This game allows you and your friends to do something that no other game can come close to: create your own fun. If you lack creativity and an imaginative mind then this game isn't for you. Only casuals and non-gamers are afraid of real human interaction. The way PVP is set up is that if someone attacks you then you have to shoot back in order to engage in a battle. This is a brilliant feature as it allows me to prepare for a malicious player's assault by equipping my power armor and my strongest one-shot weapon before the battle is initiated. I'm still undefeated in PVP which is a testament to my skill developed from years of hardcore gaming experience.

    I've also heard complaints that there are alot of technical issues with this game but they are ALL lies. It is an absolute fact that Fallout 76's graphics are at least on par with other AAA games released this year. As for bugs I have yet to encounter a single one. I've seen videos where enemies are approaching the player in a "T-Pose" but what most people don't realize is that this is INTENTIONAL. The AI in this game is so advanced that the enemies will purposely enter a T-pose to distract players as they get in range for a lethal strike. Pretty genius design if you ask me. People complaining about the nonexistent "bugs" in this game are simply complaining that the game is too hard for them.

    As for mods, the game doesn't need them. It is perfect the way it is. Without mods you are experiencing the game as Bethesda intended it after years of meticulous design and hard work. Again, those that are complaining about the lack of mods are really just complaining that the game is too hard and they need mods to play the game for them. Maybe its just me but I like a real challenge in my games.

Это уникальная ММО, где всем людям, всёравно на то, что это ММО, все бегают и занимаются привычными делами, которыми они занимались в сингле. А ведь не зря, в игре множество квестов, интересных мест, групповых ивентов. Хочется во всё это играть, исследовать всё уголки и возвращаться в любимые места. Надеюсь как с ТЕСО, разработчики будут расширять мир.

    This is not a singleplayer game. It is multiplayer and I love it. Others might not, but it is just stupid to give bad reviews because a Game is in a different genre than you would like it to be.
    Of course there are some minor bugs but this is one of the most stable Bethesda releases I have ever played.
    I am having a lot of fun with the game right now.

    So much review bombing on this game from people who haven't even played it. I am personally hooked on it. Are there bugs that need addressed?     For all those review bombers where people complain that this isn't a single player game, that this isn't fallout New Vegas, etc. They're giving it zero score to try and push down it's rating because it isn't what they want. I don't go to a restaurant that serves nothing but chili and then give it a bad review because my chili wasn't sushi, and what I really wanted was sushi. That's just nonsense, and it is nonsense to give a game a 0 rating because it isn't a single player game.     2) Questing - Questing if anything is better with holotapes then to read dialogs in other mmorpgs. Maybe story line is a little lacking up the vast world, customization's and teamplay make up for it.

    4) Character Development - Best game in the world for character builds. Non-Class specific builds calls for unlimited diversity in both solo play and in squad play with perk sharing. Align your build with specific weapon and armor mods to fit your play style for even improved functionality.
    5) Bugs - Nothing game breaking. A few glitches here and there that will most likely be fixed in a few months.
    6) Frame Drops - Bethesda acknowledges the problems with the frame rate and is working around the clock to fix them. To be honest the 50-60 fps is completely playable as a pve game. Once everyone gets to 50 we will need better frame rates for pvp, I'm confident the fix will be in place at this time.
    7) Micro transactions - Cosmetic transactions? This is not even worth mentioning. Yes let them make some one from some cool skins. Nothing game breaking from a P2W perspective.

    Conclusion: The game makes for a very complex and strategic end game Battle Area. Currently, no other game provides a game that is not class specific and have as much character and team item and skill development then this game. You heard it from me first but this game is 2019 game of the year.    … Expand

    This game is exactly what it set out to be. Disagree with the multiplayer or the non-human NPCs only all you like, it's exactly what the series needed. It's a vibrant world that is definitely not dead, and it's made all the more sinister by the threat of others.

    If you enjoy fallout, and you enjoy multiplayer, you will enjoy this. Go in fresh, ignore the people who didn't get what they wanted and are review bombing, and just appreciate the effort and care that went into this.

    Good game, if you like Fallout 4 there is allot to discover and find here. There is a few things that need to be tweak & patched but at the core there is a good game here and worth buying. Ignore the review Bombs, i can tell that most haven't even played the game (i have about 30 into the game).

    Most negative reviews are most likely from PBuG and Fortnite fans. Some sound like they never even bought or played the actual game (Beta does not count). Only time will tell how this New Style PvP game play fits the game style. I have purchased and played, I believe this is as close as possible to what us Fallout fans wanted in my opinion. Now let the Mods begin!

This game isn't a traditional Fallout game. It's a survival game set in the Fallout world! No one complains that games like ARK don't have NPCs or stories because that's the genre.     This is a Bethesda game. Bethesda games have bugs. Most of the bugs eventually get fixed. The world is massive and, in the early areas, a little empty. As you progress through the game you'll find the areas more and more congested with enemies. It is a beautiful world, though it doesn't quite feel like it was destroyed in the war as much as feels like the area was just abandoned. The enemies are fun and a little challenging early on.     It was love at first sight, I have been playing for 30 hours with my boyfriend Tyrone and I can not tear myself away. Without a doubt the best game in the series, the absolute masterpiece.

    For everyone else that isn't a fake POS "reviewer" who is genuinely interested in the game, maybe Fallout 76 can be for you.

    Some users were asking if Fallout 76 was like an MMA. To answer that question, it's like an MMO in the sense that you seek out crafting materials, craft items, base build, share the experience with friends & other gamers & can trade items with people.

    There's PvP with other players on the map that you will be exploring. You can turn on passive mode which will allow you to explore in relative peace without being bother by another player if you choose to do so.

    Fallout 76's story is being told via recordings, notes/letters, clues, etc. Now, that's not to say there isn't a story within this game, there's plenty to discover and learn about in Appalachia. But this isn't a traditional Fallout title. This is more character & base building focus with multiplayer involved (questing together, trading and pvp on occasion).

    All that being said, even outside of multiplayer, I'm still looking forward to solo play since I don't have friends that are picking this up. & I'm fine with a game I can kind of veg out to in the Fallout universe and do random quests and just building a character while potentially meeting a new gaming buddy along the way.

    This is very much a create your own adventure game in some aspects. You can ignore those aspects and just do the missions though if you want. And get all the story aspect out of the game. Just don't go into this thinking the story will be as strong as a Fallout 3, New Vegas or 4 where it was solo story linear heavy with great side quests if you choose. This will still have quests to do but they will be all about adding to the lore of the Fallout Universe & the rewards for doing the quests will be in the form that will help grow your character within the game & give you materials to help build a gun or a base or armor.

    This is a game I can see being added onto for years & growing it over time. & getting in on day one will be worth the journey if you are open minded about a different style Fallout game.    … Expand

    Best online multiplayer Fallout game made by a studio bought by a studio that bought the rights to the intellectual property of another studio I've ever played. 10/10 would mothman again.

    Fallout 76 represents a big disappointment and the lowest point of the series so far. Riddled with bugs, repetitive and dull gameplay, nonexistent story and outdated graphics, it fails as a both multiplayer and singleplayer experience for fans and newcomers alike.

    Miracles do happen once in a while and No Man’s Sky proved that sometimes it is possible to get back on your feet even after a terrible failure. Right now though Fallout 76 is botched spectacularly on so many levels that even talking about this game is a waste of time. [01/2019, p.46]
