    Great game. What I love most about it is that it plays almost identically to the Fallout series, and its almost a continuation from Fallout 4.

    Not only that, you play online with other players! The best part about this is that you do not need to participate with them or don't have to worry about being player killed. The story is pretty interesting and deep, yet you aren't forced to    Great game.     The story is pretty interesting and deep, yet you aren't forced to listen to NPCs drag on about things for hours on end. Usually a holotape gets you on your way, which is cool if you don't want to stop the pacing. Another great feature is the C.A.M.P. You can store your items in this totally customize-able area in your stash, build a home or cabin and defend it from outside enemies. You can also open it to the players or lock your doors if you wish.

    Fallout 76 is also amazingly beautiful. For all the extra space they put into this game, I enjoy the vistas between event locations love to build my C.A.M.P. around the wilderness. Though sometimes the trips can be a little long, I think its worth it and makes the game feel a lot more realistic. There are some locations on the map that are done so well, it almost feels like you're there. The White Springs Resort (aka the Grianbrier in WV) is an absolute gem and full of fun times.

    I enjoy the crafting, though sometimes the stash gets too full and you have to unload items once and a while. Usually I opt for scrapping weapons and armor for crafting skills and extra parts.

    There are many other things I'd like to mention in Fallout 76 to praise, but I'd just urge you to play it before reading any more reviews.    … Expand

    It is still a pay-2-win game that is NOT free-2-play and ALSO requires monthly subscription to enjoy without constant frustration and feeling you are playing some cheap free-2-play mobile MMO

    I've been playing since the Beta and I love this game. The updates over the past 5 years have kept me interested in this game longer than any other Fallout in the series. I sincerely hope Bethesda takes all the good stuff from 76 when they start working on Fallout 5. Mutations are a game changer and in a world that is dealing with mutants on the daily, I can't believe 76 is the firstI've been playing since the Beta and I love this game.     I'd like to give this game a 10/10 just to counter these unfair negative or antiquated reviews. However, I'll keep it a 8/10 for how I feel the game is as I'm progressing through it.

    I'm having a blast traversing through the Appalachia. I do feel that this game doesn't do much for co-op or multiplayer. I do like having the live events, however the quest like structuring of the game    I'd like to give this game a 10/10 just to counter these unfair negative or antiquated reviews.     However, where the game does shine is when playing as if single player or lone wanderer. Graphics and environment is beautiful. The combat and stealth mechanics are well fleshed out. The NPC interaction and quests are refreshing enough.

    There are some lurking hidden dangers where the player can die rather quickly. Overall I'm going to keep playing until complete. I do wish the difficulty would scale better. I like a challenge.    … Expand

    It kinda feels like a lite/worse version of Fallout 4. The new missions with npcs made the game better, but the stories are still not really interesting and way to short. I wouldnt play this game solo, because it just doesnt feel fun, i only played it with friends. Why did they even make a cap for the players chest this just ruins the fun. A low level will deal as much damage to an enemy as somebody with a higher level since the enemies scale to each player. When you get stronger over time the enemies in the same area get stronger aswell so there is not point for me to upgrade my character. The System before was way better, where enemies would have a certain fixed level in a specific area. I also prefered the perk system in Fallout 4 where you could unlock every single perk. It is a grind to unlock every perk, but this was another reason that kept me playing. Why couldnt they just make a Fallout with coop combatibility instead of an online Fallout. Im just gonna stick to the other Fallout entries for now.… Expand

    I have played over 2000 hours, and I love the game, reason is live service online team with players play on public events, visiting player's camps, storyline and side quests are good, able to turn PVP off in setting, activities are always keep going and never ending, infinite fun. I love the emotes. I played over 2000 hours and the game is the best game I ever play. I love how camp set up anywhere I want around Appalachia. I love this game, man!     It is really disgusting that after you pay 60 dollars/euros you will have to get a gamepass like subscription to enjoy the full game, and its not just skins, but armors and completely different game modes. Fallout 4 looked better and the building is not fun anymore and it has no point. Literally no choices in an RPG and it doesnt have some of the fun gameplay mechanics in other Fallouts.

    A complete wasteland of wasted potential. Elder Scrolls Online was a major failure, and it seemed like it would be Bethesda's greatest failure. However this game managed to take that title. Not only is this the worst game Bethesda has ever made, it is the biggest letdown in over a decade as Bethesda fell from great heights to this pathetic mess of a game.

    It's hard to define all the reasons this game is bad. Disgusting business practices? Bad customer support/service? Crap forum moderation? No cohesive plan for DLC releases. Day one game breaking bugs persistent through year two? Yea, this game isn't even worth this review. Done.

    Much improved. So many quests to do now. The Brotherhood is here so that makes it 10x better. I'm addicted.

A quest giver told me to go grind until I was level 20. So many random annoying events like "kill [0/x] of [insert name here]".     If u aren't a fallout fan I can't find a reason to stop u from playing this, but if u r, don't play this.

    Ima just live the rest of my life thinking this as a dlc to fo4

    I was watching a stream of a guy playing a bit and had to try it now that it cost almost nothing.
    And what can i say its amazing after so many patches. i dont think i have had this much fun in a game in 10+ years "Skyrim" im 3 weeks in and have put over 180 hours in this game    I do understand that this game sucked from the start and i said to myself that i would never buy it or play it.

    You can play it singelplayer if you want but if you play it multiplayer it only gets better.
    Only thing they need to do now is remove the overpowerd legacy weapons so new players have a chans to do any damage on a boss before its dead.

    What an incredibly buggy mess. Even several years in the game feels like an early access title. Plus outrageous microtransactions. How sad that the gaming industry has fallen this far. Gaming used to be fun, but it's now nothing but battle passes and corporate greed. It's honestly toxic.

    Bethesda released Fallout 76 full of bugs as money grabs, and damage so much their reputation that they stopped investing in Fallout franchise.
    Nonetheless Fallout 76 is worth playing as solo player. It reminds of Fallout 4 but with a significant bigger map.
    Many bugs and patches, left the game terribly unbalanced to play with others. I'll skip the MMO part.

    Started rough but has been tuned into an amazing game with tons of story and dialogue (since they were so sorely missed at launch). The game is so good now it's a total shame the score here is so low!

    in 2022 Fallout 76 has some bright moments, especially "steel dawn" DLC and of course they finally added NPC's (LOL). But it's still not even mediocre game, but pretend to be close i guess. As a fallout fan i'm sad, that this franchise getting worse with every game since Fallout New Vegas. If Fallout 4 has it's own charm, Fallout 76 is just bad.

If you survive the fall, you're then trapped in the basement as it phases back in. 3- What kind of story is this? There almost is no story. It's wake up alone, go outside not being able to collect much on the way, wander around a bit picking up a wee mission or two. Done. Nothing about that is any good. The suggestion that this could be played as a single player game is... erroneous. 4- Where the flip is everyone? Where are the NPCs? I get its a radiated wasteland but seriously? 5- The weapons and armour 'degrade' very quickly. This is one of the cheap ways that the franchise is trying to milk money from people no doubt. 6- It's art is very bland. These are just a few of the complaints and I will be applying for a refund.     F76 is just not a Fallout game. It is a generic multilayer game we already have way too much of.
    I still don't know what they where thinking.. why take a timeless and classic franchise as Fallout and ruin it with a cash grab like that... then again, kinda the same thing happened back then with Fallout Tactics.    Been playing Fallout since 1997 and loved every title since.. until this one.

    No npcs, no story, no great characters, no great moments that stick with you for years, like we had in the "real" Fallout games!

    I don't think 76 is that bad. it has an expansive world with (mostly) fun combat. But boy it has its bugs and most of them aren't to uncommon to see.

At launch, the Atomic Shop carried only cosmetic items, as originally advertised. Returning to the game, I find that one of the most basic game mechanics - repairing weapons and armor - is now dependent on micro-transactions. It is possible to earn Atoms in-game, but it would be a real grind to earn enough to be able to afford Repair Kits sufficient to to keep up with the rate of deterioration of weapons and armor. If you have a full set of power armor you need to repair, you would need six repair kits (at 50 Atoms a piece, with discounts only if bought in bulk) . . . and simply building more armor is not really an option, because basic materials (screws in particular) are hard to come by.

    In short, the game is diverting for a while, even enjoyable, but loses all appeal once it comes down to a choice of futile grinding or spending (even more) real money.    … Expand

Сервера всё время лагают, квесты не работаю, мобы застревают в текстурах или под ними, приходится всё время либо перезаходить в игру, либо в локацию. За строительствоВ этой игре ужасно буквально всё, строительство, стрельба, анимации, сюжет, оптимизация. Что бы нормально играть и не париться, нужно купить пропуск, который стоит дороже игры, а покупаете вы его либо на месяц, либо на год.     Its bugy, i dont think it would even count as a fallout game, and bethesda didn't learn from their ancestors, Interplay did a similar think with Fallout Brotherhood of steel, made it a money making machine no one likes, but people still play it.

    FO76 ran like an asthmatic pig uphill on PS4. However it runs pretty dreamy on PC. Personally I liked everything that FO76 had to offer except one thing a major deal breaker. The base game stash limit is a measly joke of 1,200 lbs. Not 1,200 items, but 1,200 numbered in weight. Ok back off to play FO4 for the umpteenth time. No problems hording to my hearts content in that one.

    - cant redeploy camp. Ok so i've tried to rebuild and what? No materials/base parts (2 available camps no materials) cant even fast travel to unexisting camp.

    What a waste of time- every time i log on, i get a "camp cannot be placed" error message and so the first thing i have to do is damage control, every freaking time! I have to start finding a place to redeploy, and then i have to see how many quest tasks that i previously did have evaporated and need to be re-done- ooh sooo much fun,    Don't let the 'new content' and sale price fool you!

Perk cards, weapon types, legendary effects on weapons and armor, mutations, stealth, food buffs, chems, ammo type all have a massive effect on how your character will play. Understanding damage mitigation for fire, radiation, explosions, energy weapons and ballistic weapons also play a role. Different enemies have different mitigations as do your character depending on how you configure it. On top of that, you need to understand how PvP rules work if you wish to engage in it. If you don't, then just turn pacifist mode on. Don't let the review bombers rob you of a great game.… Expand

    For a casual player who will probably put a 100/200 hours, maybe a bit more, into it, if you count this game out you're missing a whole new Fallout adventure. Sure, it has its quirks, but its charms more than make up for it. If you love exploring a post-apocalyptic landscape, discovering interesting locations and piecing together what happened, all while listening to some of the best classic music ever made, then you'll *love* this game.

    The multi-player layer on top is well done and subtle. You can participate in it if you want, or ignore it and treat it like a single player game. I am not a multi-player gamer yet I really like the way they did it in this game and it's fun knowing other players are in the world even if I'm largely ignoring them.

    Just keep your expectations realistic and ignore whatever hype made this game seem like it would be some kind of grand MMO experience, because it just won't live up to that and it's okay. And remember, it's an online game, you're going to run into lag and bugs that are actually just network issues, and that's okay.

    If you do that, you'll find you were missing out on a whole new Fallout experience that you might just absolutely love, like I did.    … Expand

    I played fallout 76 right now and i can tell you that the game right now is much more worth it, most of its bugs and glitches were fixed compared to when it launched and its pvp mode is super fun too, the battle and its rewards are also free and not pay, trust me the game right now is mucho more worth it

Even if your level is 35, you have a hard time killing legendary creatures, which 5-10 levels more than your level.

    There is an annoying bug; when you are not under attack, your armour or even your weapon can be broken due to bugs. Also, sometimes, the durability of weapons decreases in 4-5 magazines.

    When you do fast travel to a place, you fall into unexpected places. It might even be a cliff edge. Also, the game starts when you are falling from some height and your health decreases.

    Some main quests and side quests cause time loss. I cannot say that there are no good sides; with your friends, you can hunt down legendary creatures of "unbalanced levels and powers".

    Still, don't buy it! They need 2 or more years to fix the game.

This is the first time Bethesda has had to fix the bugs instead of just letting the modders do it for them in years. I just had to completely restart a dungeon because of a KNOWN glitch where a certain door won't open. This quest has been out for over a year. I just had to completely restart a dungeon because of a KNOWN glitch where a certain door won't open. This quest has been out for over a year. Still isn't fixed, and probably never will be. **** this game.… Expand

Fallout 76 is my favorite post-apocalyptic game ever. And I mean even from release. The mass delusion that this game was somehow terrible was the most frustrating gaming experience of my adult life; everywhere I went the consensus was "there is nothing good about this game and Bethesda ruined everything" when I was playing 6-10 hours every day and loving it in a way I had rarely loved any game before or since. The inarguably bleakest, loneliest, most distressing entry in the series (or possibly of any non-horror game), Fallout 76 had literally everything that made the previous three entries in the series great, and far more besides--more compelling voice logs, terminal entries, interconnectivity between areas, mutated abominations, verticality and variance of locales, everything. Except, of course, for human NPCs. Would I want all my Fallout games to be devoid of human NPCs? Absolutely not, but for one game? Yes, please. It was an experience like no other. Their return with the "Wastelanders" expansion was done fairly well, and I love the game as much as ever now, but I definitely miss the early days of Fallout 76 when it truly felt like you were the first explorers/settlers of a once-pristine wilderness destroyed by the horrors of radiation. But good luck explaining that to anyone when literally everyone's response to "I am really loving Fallout 76" is "that's a joke right? I heard that's the worst game ever." I feel so sorry for everyone who believed the lies rather than trying it out.… Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Fallout 76 is a game that came out late 2018.
    Ok so, i'm just gonna rate the game based on it's questlines.
    Also spoilers for Fallout 76's Main Questline, Wastelanders and Steel Dawn.

    Fallout 76's main questline:
    Utter Garbage, 90% of the questline is boring, only interesting part is the enclave part where you get to launch a nuke (aka, near the end of the questline). If you think you can just skip to other questlines, too bad, after a certain part, both questlines force you to be level 20. And the easiest way to get those levels is by playing the main questline.

    4/10

    Wastelanders:
    Oh my god this questline is so much more interesting. To give you an example: When you enter The Wayward (a new bar that came with Wastelanders), you immediately get into a stressful interaction between a batter and Trudy. Then you get 5 different options to interact with the Batter, you can attack him, you can use your luck and say that there's something in his gun's barrel or you can use your charisma to at least try to talk it out with him or you can try to get help from Morty (who is hiding behind some boxes) OR you can just ask what is going on. 5 different options, 3 of them require some "SPECIAL" abilities, one of them is straight up entering combat and the last one is asking.
    AND THIS IS JUST THE FIRST QUEST, THIS FIRST QUEST IS WAY MORE INTERESTING AND VARIED THAN 90% OF FALLOUT 76'S MAIN QUESTLINE!

    And this isn't just all, as you progress through out the questline, you have to make a choice between which faction to get help from for raiding Vault 94. You can team up with raiders to EXPLODE the vault door (even though it doesn't make sense) or you can team up with settlers to mine your way into vault 94.

    Overall, this questline is amazing. It still has it's fetch quest-ish times but overall, it's so good, ya all have to play Fallout 76 again JUST FOR WASTELANDERS. 9/10

    Steel Dawn:
    Most stuff i said for Wastelanders can be applied to Steel Dawn, it's way more interesting than Fallout 76's Main Questline. And it has a big twist at the end of the questline! However, unlike Wastelanders, this questline is... kinda short, it's about 4-6 hours, This is because Bethesda decided to split BoS questline into 2, an interesting choice. Questline also leaves it on a cliffhanger... lame.
    But it makes it up with an action packed questline, you raid an enclave base in one of the quests. And then a big twist happens, turns out that Rahmani has done something wrong before BoS came to Appalachia. Oh yeah, did i mention there was a community event just for Steel Dawn, community (of course) succesfully completed all of the tasks that were needed, i wonder how it would turn out if we couldn't complete at least few of them.

    Overall, Steel Dawn is a great questline, it kinda sucks that it's a bit short but it's a good questline, and that's all we want as Fallout fans. 7/10

    Long story short, Fallout 76's main questline sucks. Wastelanders is awesome and is totally worth returning Fallout 76 just for that. Steel Dawn is great, though i do recommend starting Steel Dawn when Steel Reign (Part 2 of Steel Dawn) is released this summer (2021), so you dont have to wait for a month or two while waiting for Steel Reign to arrive.

    Oh yeah, there's barely any end game content, you can stay away from those.

    Fallout 76 represents a big disappointment and the lowest point of the series so far. Riddled with bugs, repetitive and dull gameplay, nonexistent story and outdated graphics, it fails as a both multiplayer and singleplayer experience for fans and newcomers alike.

    Miracles do happen once in a while and No Man’s Sky proved that sometimes it is possible to get back on your feet even after a terrible failure. Right now though Fallout 76 is botched spectacularly on so many levels that even talking about this game is a waste of time. [01/2019, p.46]
