    It is still a pay-2-win game that is NOT free-2-play and ALSO requires monthly subscription to enjoy without constant frustration and feeling you are playing some cheap free-2-play mobile MMO

    It kinda feels like a lite/worse version of Fallout 4. The new missions with npcs made the game better, but the stories are still not really interesting and way to short. I wouldnt play this game solo, because it just doesnt feel fun, i only played it with friends. Why did they even make a cap for the players chest this just ruins the fun. A change a while ago completly ruined the game forIt kinda feels like a lite/worse version of Fallout 4. A change a while ago completly ruined the game for me tho. Enemies now scale with your level so there is not really any player progression. A low level will deal as much damage to an enemy as somebody with a higher level since the enemies scale to each player. When you get stronger over time the enemies in the same area get stronger aswell so there is not point for me to upgrade my character. The System before was way better, where enemies would have a certain fixed level in a specific area. I also prefered the perk system in Fallout 4 where you could unlock every single perk. It is a grind to unlock every perk, but this was another reason that kept me playing. Why couldnt they just make a Fallout with coop combatibility instead of an online Fallout. Im just gonna stick to the other Fallout entries for now.… Expand

    It is really disgusting that after you pay 60 dollars/euros you will have to get a gamepass like subscription to enjoy the full game, and its not just skins, but armors and completely different game modes. Fallout 4 looked better and the building is not fun anymore and it has no point. Literally no choices in an RPG and it doesnt have some of the fun gameplay mechanics in other Fallouts.

    A complete wasteland of wasted potential. Elder Scrolls Online was a major failure, and it seemed like it would be Bethesda's greatest failure. However this game managed to take that title. Not only is this the worst game Bethesda has ever made, it is the biggest letdown in over a decade as Bethesda fell from great heights to this pathetic mess of a game.

    It's hard to define all the reasons this game is bad. Disgusting business practices? Bad customer support/service? Crap forum moderation? No cohesive plan for DLC releases. Day one game breaking bugs persistent through year two? Yea, this game isn't even worth this review. Done.

    This game should 've been a Multiplayer add-on for Fallout 4 because it's basically the same game without an offline mode and that's it.

    The graphics are ugly as sin with absurd post-processing effects. They made combat worse than Fallout 4, so they removed the fun part. The reward for my first quest was a slot machine token. A quest giver told me to go grind until I was level 20. So many random annoying events like "kill [0/x] of [insert name here]".     I played this once on Xbox game pass and I hate it. Probably because I'm not such a multiplayer fan, also microtransactions and greedy developers.

    W życiu nie grałem w tam mało klimatyczną grę. Twórcy w ogóle nie wiedzą o co chodzi w świecie Fallout ! Bardziej to gra SIMS niż Fallout. Szkoda czasu - i tak projekt zostanie zamknięty do 2 lat.

    Fallout 76 is just like Destiny. a boring, empty but kinda cool looking world(if you are ok with **** graphics and a f*cking old engine), but unlike Destiny FO 76 got no good Lore and a pretty f*cked up gameplay. I mean Destiny got atleast nice shooter-elements.

    What an incredibly buggy mess. Even several years in the game feels like an early access title. Plus outrageous microtransactions. How sad that the gaming industry has fallen this far. Gaming used to be fun, but it's now nothing but battle passes and corporate greed. It's honestly toxic.

    in 2022 Fallout 76 has some bright moments, especially "steel dawn" DLC and of course they finally added NPC's (LOL). But it's still not even mediocre game, but pretend to be close i guess. As a fallout fan i'm sad, that this franchise getting worse with every game since Fallout New Vegas. If Fallout 4 has it's own charm, Fallout 76 is just bad.

    Against my better judgement, I risked getting this on Steam when it was discounted. What I can say for sure is... WTF! What kind of Fallout is this? 1- The crafting and building. Somehow they managed to make this more complicated and less usable than for Fallout 4. I would be impressed if this was what the team were hoping to go for but I doubt it was. 2- The fighting is poor andAgainst my better judgement, I risked getting this on Steam when it was discounted. If you survive the fall, you're then trapped in the basement as it phases back in. 3- What kind of story is this? There almost is no story. It's wake up alone, go outside not being able to collect much on the way, wander around a bit picking up a wee mission or two. Done. Nothing about that is any good. The suggestion that this could be played as a single player game is... erroneous. 4- Where the flip is everyone? Where are the NPCs? I get its a radiated wasteland but seriously? 5- The weapons and armour 'degrade' very quickly. This is one of the cheap ways that the franchise is trying to milk money from people no doubt. 6- It's art is very bland. These are just a few of the complaints and I will be applying for a refund.     Been playing Fallout since 1997 and loved every title since.. until this one.
    F76 is just not a Fallout game. It is a generic multilayer game we already have way too much of.
    I still don't know what they where thinking.. why take a timeless and classic franchise as Fallout and ruin it with a cash grab like that... then again, kinda the same thing happened back then with Fallout Tactics.    Been playing Fallout since 1997 and loved every title since.. until this one.

    No npcs, no story, no great characters, no great moments that stick with you for years, like we had in the "real" Fallout games!
    Personally biggest disappointment this year.. but hey, I still have fun with the classic and newer Fallout titles.    … Expand

Что бы нормально играть и не париться, нужно купить пропуск, который стоит дороже игры, а покупаете вы его либо на месяц, либо на год. Сервера всё время лагают, квесты не работаю, мобы застревают в текстурах или под ними, приходится всё время либо перезаходить в игру, либо в локацию. За строительствоВ этой игре ужасно буквально всё, строительство, стрельба, анимации, сюжет, оптимизация.     Its bugy, i dont think it would even count as a fallout game, and bethesda didn't learn from their ancestors, Interplay did a similar think with Fallout Brotherhood of steel, made it a money making machine no one likes, but people still play it.

    FO76 ran like an asthmatic pig uphill on PS4. However it runs pretty dreamy on PC. Personally I liked everything that FO76 had to offer except one thing a major deal breaker. The base game stash limit is a measly joke of 1,200 lbs. Not 1,200 items, but 1,200 numbered in weight. Ok back off to play FO4 for the umpteenth time. No problems hording to my hearts content in that one.

    - cant redeploy camp. Ok so i've tried to rebuild and what? No materials/base parts (2 available camps no materials) cant even fast travel to unexisting camp.
    - fast travel - there is no public transportation so why paying caps? - too much limited storage and building parts at once - even with human npc's still feels like uncomplete game, place    Could be very good game but unforgivable:

    What a waste of time- every time i log on, i get a "camp cannot be placed" error message and so the first thing i have to do is damage control, every freaking time! I have to start finding a place to redeploy, and then i have to see how many quest tasks that i previously did have evaporated and need to be re-done- ooh sooo much fun,    Don't let the 'new content' and sale price fool you!

    And if i want to play the game solo {so that i don't have to re-setup camp every time because some douche put a gaudy palace of horrors where my simple camp was while i was offline} I have to pay extra for that privilege.

    So yeah, there may be some new add-ons, but that just wasn't enough for me even at a low price. If I want some Fallout, i'll go back and re-play Fallout 4, or new Vegas or even fallout 3, anything but this- there are just too many great games out there to waste time on anything so mediocre.    … Expand

    To be honest I only tried it because the game is in GamePass.

    And wow what an Adventure, I played for a few hours and I was invisible the whole time, no enemy atacked me... 10/10 Bethesda

    I'm so sick of game companies becoming so money hungry that they have to ruin a franchise. I love the fallout games, all of them. When I was in the Marines coming back form Afghan I would dream about playing New Vegas. I still replay all of them even F4. It makes me angry and sad what the company is becoming. I just want to play a single player RPG that is fallout and not asking me to pay more money to enjoy it better. I'm ok with paying for FINISHED DLCs for single player games. Hell I liked the concept of creation club because I thought we would see some DLC size mods but that was a lie to. I want fallout back. I want single player games back. I want to not walk back to a area I was just at and have creatures spawn back because someone I don't care about is in the same area and needs to fight the. I feel like they truly do not care about the reviews or thoughts of their fans and truly says in meeting **** them" because that's how it feels. It feels like we are getting ****ed and just like elder scrolls they will basically forces you to use the game because they wont create a new game that is not trying to take your money and is truly a single player game. I beg you Bethesda as someone who fought for this country and truly loves the fallout games STOP. Bring back what we love and stop trying to get more money from us. If you want more money make more DLC's, remaster the classics, support madders and again stop trying to get more money from us with microtransactions.… Expand

Then there are all the cosmetics that are only available for outrageous prices on the store for a game that was $60. Я не могу поверить, что это в какой то вселенной может считаться нормой!Мне всё равно на баги и прочее и я думаю, что игра не плохая обычный фолыч от беседки только онлайн, но что в этой игре с графикой? я чисто физически не могу играть в неё больше получаса мои глаза не выдерживают этих цветов этого освещения, свечения.     I love the Fallout series of games, and had high hopes for Fallout 76 and I was very disappointed in it, I can not recommend it to anyone to play it. From the very first seconds, the game tries to hook the player with something, but this is unsuccessful.

    Fallout 76 is a massively multiplayer online game that encourages player cooperation, and paying money in the Atomic Shop (in game purchasing tool to help you speed up your progress or just generally be better at the game.) The game feels very grindy, and by that I mean it will take you a long time to get good gear and loot in the game. A very long time. Unfortunately, the gameplay isn't really fun or polished enough to make all that time grinding worth your while. This feels like it's purposeful, due to how often the game encourages you to spend more cash at the Atomic Shop to acquire resources and gear. Let me remind you that this game's launch date retail price was $59.99. The 'pay to win' feature of Fallout 76 is very annoying, ham fisted, and feels almost like begging. I'm often embarrassed by how much energy the publisher of the game put into begging people for more money.

    The story of Fallout 76 is boring, erratic, and not very engaging. The add-ons to the game improved this issue, but didn't make the story good. I wont even explain the story to point out how bad it is piece by piece. That's how boring it is. I'm too bored by it to criticize it fully. Trust me when I say you're not missing out on a lot of interesting and gripping franchise lore.

    The gameplay of Fallout 76 is buggy to this day, and pretty boring as far as 'looter shooters' go. There's not a ton of variety in how you dispatch enemies, and the more fun you want to have in the game, the more boring hours you'll have to invest in grinding for fun gear and loot, or the more money you'll have to spend on fun gear and loot. What's the grind like? Ammo is hard to come by, and when you find it, it's not much. You can buy ammo though! Fusion cores, which fuel the game's iconic power armor, burn out quickly and are hard to find. You can buy more though! Legendary enemies spawn very infrequently, and when they do, there's no guarantee that they'll drop really good loot. The loot thing might be a bug though, I'm not 100% sure. Then again, what's a bug and what's a feature is hard to discern in Fallout 76. Overall, gameplay feels rather dumbed down, and not as fun as Fallout 4. the polish is lacking, the fun is lacking, the engagement is lacking, my interest is lacking.

    Graphically, the game looks fine, when it's running well. The game doesn't always perform very well graphically, so it can be hard to judge whether or not some textures look horrible, or whether they just never loaded into the game correctly. It's not mind blowing by any stretch, and is outclassed by many games made for inferior hardware.

    The music of Fallout 76 is... meh. Repetitive, recycled, and not very noteworthy. It didn't have to be great or anything, but it's definitely not contributing anything meaningful to the game. Best part was the Country Roads cover.

    Overall, Fallout 76 is an annoying game in more ways than one. It's a slog to get through without indulging in microtransactions, and nobody in their right mind would suggest you actually indulge in the microtransactions, so the game is just boring and annoying. Some of the add-ons do bring in content that's worth your time, but the game overall is very bad, and the add-ons don't fix anything enough for it to deserve your investment.    … Expand

    The game at first is OK, overall the game is extremely boring and lackluster. If they copy and pasted Fallout 4 and just paid attention to the multi-player aspect the game would be a lot better. The multiplayer aspect is close to useless. Comparing the game play to Fallout 4, there is close to no improvement.

I am a fan of the Fallout franchise and its lore, but this just disgraced me. Everything about it is a mess, except for the graphics, which are 1% better than Fallout 4's graphics. Worst. Game. Ever.

    YES the game was very overpriced on release, but prices have come down, the game is NOT empty, there is a LOT of content that will keep you going for some time, the game is set to release periodic content updates to keep more coming in, including new vaults opening and new factions cropping up.

    You are playing though as one of the first people to leave a vault, of course there is not the same level of life as the other games, it makes sense.

    The game plays pretty much like Fallout 4, with a few extra bells and whistles, and MP added on top to make it a small scale MMO.

    The game has its issues, but its NOT a broken disaster that others would have you think.
    I dont have a high end system, i57600k 8gb ram and a 1070, and i run this on max graphics at 1080p
    with a solid 60 fps, i get the occasional hiccup but a lot of that could be server related, the servers where not set that well, but have been getting regular stability updates, and its gotten better.

    If you are interested in the game, don't listed to the hate train, its lying to you.
    If you liked fallout 4, there is a VERY high chance you will like 76 and play the hell out of it.    … Expand

    Fa schifo, pieno di bug che non ti permettono neanche di andare avanti nelle missioni. Arrivando alla fine della missione principale mi sono ritrovato a ripetere di dungeon 3 volte trovando 3 bug diversi impedendomi di proseguire.
    Bethesda anziché trovare una soluzione e correggere questi errori ha scritto una guida sul loro sito, che sorpresa sorpresa, anche la guida è sbagliata! Patetici.

    Not my type of game at all. I have completed all the previous iterations of the franchise and enjoyed every one. But not this. There are plenty of problems but for me the compulsory PvP is the killer. I play several online multiplayer games, none of which force PvP in the way that Fallout 76 does.

    While you CAN play this game solo, it is not a solo game. Everything in this game is built around group play whether you like it or not. Most quest at start can be done solo but once you start to get to the later part you NEED to be in a group. You also need to plan your build WAY in advance before you even start the game, one mistake and your build is no good at all. Also, Daily Ops is a joke! Any type of stealth build WILL NOT WORK. Burnt through a few hundred caps of aid items, most of my gear gear gets broken ( from 200% condition) and spent more time dead than running the Op. Just can not stand playing this game any more.

    The one "point" is for well written, kind of interesting dialogue in wastlanders dlc. Everything else is criminally bad. The whole "online" side is just a forced on, crappy, not really working side put there to monetize, not to let us play fallout with friends, it makes most aspects of the game Not work properly while giving Bethesda monetization without any investing on the their part. ItThe one "point" is for well written, kind of interesting dialogue in wastlanders dlc. Everything else is criminally bad. The whole "online" side is just a forced on, crappy, not really working side put there to monetize, not to let us play fallout with friends, it makes most aspects of the game Not work properly while giving Bethesda monetization without any investing on the their part. It is painfully obvious that F76s Only reason existing is to give Bethesda a constant stream of moooney, heavy monetization BEFORE offering a functional product(game), unbelievable. The game is not really a Bethesda game, as one who has been playing Bethesda from Morrowind and forward would say. The reintroduction of npcs was at one side something good but at the other side showed what really happened, Bethesda introducing something so basic, not working in a Bethesda way, with the rules and consequences that made Bethesda games good and immersive. Here, npcs are blank objects programmed to say their thing αnd not much more.     Still trash not even worthy of a dumpster. Uninspired gameplay devoid of anything interesting or compelling. Still a buggy mess, running on an ancient engine no longer fit for purpose and missing any of the features we expect from a modern game. Its just a lazy cash grab. Stay clear.

    I have played Fallout 76 for a reasonable amount of time, long enough to form my own opinion on it, and I'm not that positively overwhelmed, although I don't think the game is complete garbage.

    You can't really objectively rate a game, so all I can say is that I'm a huge fan of the Fallout series, with Fallout 4 being my favourite out of the bunch, so I'm simply more interested in the single-player aspect of these games. Fallout 76 doesn't offer that in the slightest, sure there are some quests you can do while playing on your own, but the game is truly meant to be played with a group of friends, which lies not in my field of interest, when it comes to fallout titles. Also there are lots of bugs, even still after one year, albeit not game-breaking and mostly of visual nature, it will throw some people off.

    Update for Wastelanders:
    I still don't think Fallout 76 comes close to the other Singleplayer Fallout games, but its gotten better over the recent updates. I still hate the multiplayer aspects, the game as a service-model, and the in-game microtransactions, though.

    Well, they **** it up by introducing a genuine GAS aspect.

After playing this game for hundreds of hours, trying to find the 'fallout' in it, I've been greatly disappointed in the games many problems and embarrassing errors they should have fixed before putting this piece of work on the market (especially at a $60 price tag). There was really only 1 thing I found good about this game...and a lot bad.

    Pros - game has great exploration; graphics are perhaps above average for this era.

    Cons - (1) interface is archaic - I have no idea who was overseeing the interface designer, but they should have been fired. From clunky combinations and multiple menus to get to something that should have only taken 1 to key combinations that conflict with others (such as exit power armor and inviting someone to your team, the interface of this game is simply embarrassing to say the least, especially for a company like Bethesda.
    (2) poor/ambiguous PVP elements - from having pacifist mode to being attacked by a high level player and having them whittle me away to nothing (though I am pacifist and don't want to PVP), I found their PVP system to be pretty much garbage. You either are making your game PVP and forcing others to PVP or you aren't. Make up your mind, Beth-tardesda. I personally don't care to PVP and I don't want to be forced into it. But they don't give any explanation of how PVP works. You just sorta have to find out when in game. and pray you've deposited all your scrap in your stash beforehand.
    (3) Bugs. Honestly, this game should be sueable simply by the amount of bugs it has--not just minor bugs--but game breaking bugs. Crash to desktop bugs, which happen regularly--to regularly to be acceptable. Perhaps every 30 minutes or more often. Lag bugs, where creatures are hitting you and/or you them when you've loaded an area, but you can't see anything. Glitch bugs where creatures arms/legs/body is distorted like 20 feet in the air when dead...or creatures being stuck under the ground during a settlement quest or other, making it impossible to finish the quest. The bugs and utter lack of quality assurance in this area break this game. I can take all the things I thought were nice about it and put them in the pot and piss on them. Because it doesn't matter how much of a 'good game' you could have had, if its so damn riddled with bugs it's unplayable. And that is what this game is. It's absolute garbage. I honestly hope they get sued and run out of business. Shame on them for releasing this game about 6 months sooner than it should have been.
    With that said, I say, "no, No, NO!" Don't buy this. Don't even think of buying this. I wouldn't even buy it if it was on sale for $15. It's not even worth that. If they were to ever work out the bugs, the game still wouldn't pass with a 7. WHich brings me to my next con...
    (4) Balancing - I think they nerfed good loot. Haven't seen a decent weapon or armor piece in almost 2 weeks of continual farming. But besides that, you just don't get any good loot or bosses or anything like that at low level. From around L1-40, you're stuck trying to find events around the map and doing the main quests...and pretty much nothing else. No point in farming. There is nowhere to farm. No places, other than those wolf quests, to farm low level legendaries. And once you get 40-50 (and you could do it sooner, if you're careful or use power armor), you go to Whitesprings. But once you're there, that's about it. You level...and level....and do the scorch queen when it's up...and then go back to leveling at Whitesprings. Or maybe Watoga. End game in this useless game is a joke. 0/10 for End game.
    WIth that said, don't waste your time on this game. Don't even buy it if it's on sale for $5.00. It will be the biggest waste of your $5 bill you ever did.    … Expand

    As a big Fallout fan i'm left very dissapointed. Playing this game longer than 2 hours is almost impossible. Me and my buddy almost fell asleep after 2 and a half hours playing fallout 76... This game is extremely repetitive and just so very boring. What did Besthesda actually think to not use any npc's! Correct me if i'm wrong, but an rpg game without npc's didn't succeed ever in history.As a big Fallout fan i'm left very dissapointed. Playing this game longer than 2 hours is almost impossible.     Fallout 76 represents a big disappointment and the lowest point of the series so far. Riddled with bugs, repetitive and dull gameplay, nonexistent story and outdated graphics, it fails as a both multiplayer and singleplayer experience for fans and newcomers alike.

    Miracles do happen once in a while and No Man’s Sky proved that sometimes it is possible to get back on your feet even after a terrible failure. Right now though Fallout 76 is botched spectacularly on so many levels that even talking about this game is a waste of time. [01/2019, p.46]
