    RPG done right. Open world with weird/funny/scary encounters in it, that make you wanna play this game for hours and hours at a time. Story is good, but dont hope for too much. Fighting isnt the most pleasant thing, since the controls and also the weapon-handling are very basic. What really makes this Game a classic are the NPC´s, its open world and the apocalyptic setting. I would still recommend to mod this game, to make it a little more lively. Especially the wasteland is really empty and pretty much everything looks the same -if unmodded. Grab it in a sale and you will have no regrets!

    I played the first two Fallout titles after finishing this one. I enjoyed the first two maybe a bit MORE than this one, but Fallout 3 is a pretty good game on its own. The story is good and has meat to it, and the characters are memorable. The graphics are meh, especially for today's standard, however the soundtrack and the environment the old tunes created was unmistakable. I remember playing this with my brother (we controller swapped) and had a blast with it on the 360, so when I had the means to get it for steam/pc, I most certainly did.

    It's not all bad, I managed to get through the main story. But I was constantly thinking: man what a great game Mass Effect was. I didn't appreciate that one as highly as I should have. Turning Fallout into a shooter, major disappointment. Making it palatable to new players and giving franchise a new lease on life, major win. Rating is the middle ground between the two.

    Fallout 3 is a heartfelt love letter to the original games, but there is still so much it fails at. For a game that focuses so much on gunplay I would expect it to be more enjoyable, but it really isn't that great and it's only ever really improved upon in Fallout 4. But the thing this game does better than Fallout 4 is translating the original RPGs into the 3D environment. The lack of nuance in allowing your character to create their own backstory holds this game back from being truly great, as does the at times simplified writing.     Bethesda Game Studios makes some of the most astonishing single player experiences someone can have gaming, and Fallout 3 is no exception. This game distances itself from the old ones and sometimes feels like a mockup of that classics, but either way still one of the best RPGs I ever played.

    An incredible game, just replayed it this week to see if it still holds up and I was immediately so immersed in the incredible atmosphere of the beautifully realized DC wasteland that it was hard for me to put down. Easily one of the best RPG's of all time and my personal favourite Bethesda Studios game. It's been 15 years since release and this game is still a masterpiece.

    El juego me ha gustado y lo recomiendo, la temática en general de la saga Fallout me parece super interesante, la historia principal esta bien, pero los DLCs me parecen bastante mejores ya que te dan mas tiempo de juego y algunos son muy buenos. El sistema de dialogo me parece brillante en comparación con la basura que hicieron en el 4.
    Tambien cosas malas claramente, como la durabilidad    El juego me ha gustado y lo recomiendo, la temática en general de la saga Fallout me parece super interesante, la historia principal esta bien, pero los DLCs me parecen bastante mejores ya que te dan mas tiempo de juego y algunos son muy buenos.     I think Fallout 3 is a good video game but story, some RPG mechanics, quests and factions could have been done better. It's a fun experience that on PC is plagued by Bethesda lack of care for their aging titles. The game crashes way too often and has tons of bugs. Still it's a well done RPG that holds up even 14 years later. However if you're looking for more fleshed out FalloutI think Fallout 3 is a good video game but story, some RPG mechanics, quests and factions could have been done better. It's a fun experience that on PC is plagued by Bethesda lack of care for their aging titles. The game crashes way too often and has tons of bugs.     Don't get the Steam version and you wont have as much issues, an excellent game, the story doesn't offer many options but is bit less far-fetched than New Vegas and most of Fallout 3's map (except DC) is interesting and cool, Anchorage is also still my favorite Fallout DLC

    Let's face it, this game is old: the UI is clunky, the combat is frustrating, the graphics are buggy, and the story is linear. But the game completely immerses us in its oldness through atmosphere alone.

    Вспоминая третий фолыч, перед глазами предстаёт картина какого-то мутного, зелёного болота. То и дело мелькают образы глупейших квестов и ситуаций, типа города детей или разборок супергероев. Ещё какой то мужик ходит и заявляет что он мой батя, игра как будто рассчитывает что у меня должна быть с ним какая-то эмоциональная связь, но зачем мне цифровой батя я не знаю, возможно это продуктВспоминая третий фолыч, перед глазами предстаёт картина какого-то мутного, зелёного болота.     Don't get me wrong, this game was great when it came out, but then fallout new vegas came out and pretty much destroyed fallout 3, still fallout 3 remains a good game to play if you haven't already

    This is my first fallout and I really liked the atmosphere.

    Many said that this is Oblivion with machine guns, but the atmosphere and the setting are completely different. Interesting plot, average gameplay, average graphics for its time, but it was fun to play.

    Un auténtico MUST. Bethesda hizo una auténtica obra maestra allá por 2008 y se ha convertido en un juego de culto. El mundo abierto, los personajes, las casi infinitas posibilidades que te ofrece este título, TODO, es una simbiosis perfecta que da lugar a uno de los mejores RPG de todos los tiempos.

    Un juego bellisimo que en su tiempo lo juego en PS3, lo volvi a comprar en Steam para mi PC y no me arrepiento de nada. Puedes instalarle mods graficos para mejorar totalmente la experiencia y mejora notablemente a la vista es como un remaster, en fin Exelente juego

Sadly there are very few choices when it comes to the story. The walking animation is also extremely bad tho, same as weapons animation who make no sense. This game feels like baby's first shoot-em-up, the gun play feels atrocious (it's 2008 why do none of the guns have iron sight aiming), the story is so linear it's almost comical, and none of the exploration even matters.
    Mainly, none of the quests matter.    I'm sure that someone feels this is the best Fallout game of all time, maybe even THE best game of all time. I am not that person. This game feels like baby's first shoot-em-up, the gun play feels atrocious (it's 2008 why do none of the guns have iron sight aiming), the story is so linear it's almost comical, and none of the exploration even matters.
    Mainly, none of the quests matter. Even the most ardent defenders of this game can point to 2 good quests, Wasteland Survival Guide and Oasis. Wasteland Survival Guide feels like a tutorial mission for the mid-game; "Learn about radiation and limb damage", "learn about x location" and by the time you finish the first chapter it's worn out its welcome. Oasis is...fine, but everything seems designed so that you'll never find it, from it only being accessible through a thin mountain path right to the very north, to it's location only being given to you via random encounter. Half the locations are entirely useless, providing nothing but set dressing and maybe a bobble head or skill book (if you're lucky). The only reason this isn't a 0/10 is because some characters are pretty fun and likeable, and some of the setpieces like Tranquility Lane and the Liberty Prime battle are somewhat enjoyable. Just... save your money and get a better game.    … Expand

    P.S.: Estou cansado da brotherhood of steel, no fallout 1 e 2 já foi suficiente.

    As my first encounter of a Fallout game and avoiding RPG's in general it was a shock to have such a deep storyline and huge world.

    Amazing game, wonderful story and the mechanics are insane. Even if a lot of people don't like it i love the similarities between this skyrim and NV, the only thing i would say is a little bit bad and only very little cause i still like the game is the lack of shooting, ik there are a lot of guns but a lot of melee weapons too which i can see where it is frustrating but still loved it

    The RPG's mecchanics are beautiful and seamlessly integrated into the game world, the history another great part of a great game; inventory management is perfect and the world is enormous!
    A game that all the people must play!

    I have played this game on Steam. The game play is really good. The graphics are not bad for moment the game was produced. Place of the action and the open world is interesting. Of course I have not completed this game as the game sadly bugged and i lost my saves. The bug was error of npc's movement that ruined entire main mission and blocked further progress. Pois bem o game é muito bom, traz uma liberdade imensa, entretanto pelo fato de trazer uma liberdade imensa, o jogador fica um tanto perdido no começo e só começa a ter uma direção sobre o funcionamento do game só mais de 15/20hrs. portanto o ritmo do game é lento. I believe after that amount of time the waterways wouldn’t be irradiated anymore. Everyone in this game is dressed like they're straight out of a Mad Max flick, and the gunplay is extremely dull.     For re-inventing the franchise it is a huge step. Looking apart from that it's kind of a mess. And the magic it gave in '08 sadly can't be felt as much.

    Large open world with awesome locations to discover, solid RPG opportunities, and tons of content. Overall though lacks meaningful moral/ethical questions and quests can be hit or miss in quality. Still great lacking purpose. Banger DLC.

    When released, this game was truly impressive. It built upon the masterpiece Oblivion, and it brought some impressive new elements of gameplay. Immensely fun to explore, and great atmosphere. It has been overshadowed by more modern games, but it was easily a 9.5/10 when it was released.

    The game was really dark and atmospheric when it came out. A solid feeling of a post-apocalyptic world, cruelty everywhere, characters have believable stories and quests. The disadvantages include a rather high difficulty, but it also adds more sense of survival

    The game had a lot of technical difficulties, it doesn't play like a good FPS, and has massive issues with RPG elements, but still provides a huge Map to explore and an overall good experience, it is my least favorite game out of the Fallout franchise.

    this game is a disaster. after the beginning the game falls apart like a bad marriage. the game makes you fight high level enemy's at the very beginning [the first mission] not to mention how bland the gameplay and story is. disappointment after playing new vegas.
