Some inventory stuff in game was sorta frustrating to switch between tabs (have to use numpad/usually number 4,5,7,8 to switch tabs). Overall though enjoying the game like I did 10 years ago. Expand

There are very few games that I would tell you to buy without a second thought. This is one of them. You'll spend hours upon hours in this wonderful world, and never regret a second of it.If you haven't played the original Fable and where waiting for an excuse, this is it.Even if you have, the upscaled resolution, aspect ration, and overall better textures are a nice touch.Seeing as the game alsoThere are very few games that I would tell you to buy without a second thought. This is one of them. You'll spend hours upon hours in this wonderful world, and never regret a second of it.If you haven't played the original Fable and where waiting for an excuse, this is it.Even if you have, the upscaled resolution, aspect ration, and overall better textures are a nice touch.Seeing as the game also features mod support, and Steam Workshop in the not so distant future, there really is no reason not to pick this masterpiece up.
Also, this thing will run on a potato,so don't think that your PC can't run it

I do not know what the fuss is about on the keyboard, but I play on the controller and I like to go back to 8 years ago, only with an updated and very nice graphics. I would recommend this game to anyone who is not familiar with the series Fable.

Don't listen to the reviewer who complained about the control scheme, It's perfect and it runs heaps and bounds better than it does on the 360. I believe this is the first Fable game on PC that is actually optimized correctly. What are you doing? GO BUY THIS GAME NOW.

Now I haven't played this yet but I've heard only the graphics have changed from the original. If so I can testament to it playing like Harry Potter in a very British Lord of the Rings game with it being sort of open world. It's not open world in the fact that you can run up sides of mountains, but who really wants to do that anyway, it's open world because even though there's a main questNow I haven't played this yet but I've heard only the graphics have changed from the original. If fable 2 came to pc however, buy that immediately it is god's gift to the world. Expand

    I loved Fable back 2002.
I still love Fable today 2014.
When I first stared the game (Anniversary) I was a bit estranged by the new artistic look. With the more Polygons the characters look strange, not as I used to know them. At first I didn't like it because it was different, but then, after a hour or so, I found it quite beautiful. It is really like Fable was meant to be released 12

At first I didn't like it because it was different, but then, after a hour or so, I found it quite beautiful. It is really like Fable was meant to be released 12 years later. The game itself is the same as it was back then (with the TLC addon) and the DLC connent fits right in it.
I like that you can choose between two different controller mappings and mouse and keyboard. For me I like the Fable 1 mapping best.
After completing the game I only found a very few bugs. Sometimes the lip sync is off, I had to restart the game once because the time was not changing anymore and at one time the game crashed during a save (not that big of a deal because autosave had saved right before that)

    TL;DR
Fable is the same genius game it was back then with graphics from today.
I give one point less of the perfect score because the fights didn't make that much fun anymore (they are still lot of fun) because the feel kind of old and the KI is sometimes acting very dumb (especially your companies or summons creatures).

This game is amazing just see for yourself. The only real complaint is the bad mouse and keyboard controls in the menu which is not game breaking just annoying. Pick up a game pad to ignore all that, and enjoy this masterpiece.

I enjoyed the original and I enjoy this version since it's easy on the eyes. Plenty of complaints about mouse support and whatnot, which is understandable, but I use a controller so it doesn't bother me. If you never played the original I say give it a go. It's an amazing game with an amazing story.

The game system is very creative, eating will make you fat, fishing and buying a house have a very high degree of freedom when playing this game.

The skill system still seems fresh, the battles run smoothly. And in the bizarre and brutal world of Fable I felt I was always at home. A worthy HD update to celebrate the 10 years anniversary, with a few technical problems.
