Jun 11, 2024Many detailed improvements to the career and car handling make F1 24 the best Formula 1 racing game in years.
-
May 28, 2024This is the racing equivalent of EA Sport’s not-Fifa football franchise FC24...It now delivers all the same realism, audio and visual fidelity while also never losing sight that it’s a good video game that will keep players coming back for more.
-
May 30, 2024A suite of changes make many improvements to the formula employed by Codemasters on an annual basis. A divisive handling model may turn players away, however.
-
Aug 5, 2024It's nearly impossible to please players of every single skill level, but F1 24 gameplay is some of the best the series has been in recent years. An extensive amount of optional systems allows more casual players to simply focus on the track, and the dedicated veterans have even more small settings to tweak as they fine-tune high difficulty strategies. Driver Career is a blast, especially when playing as iconic drivers of the past and present. Sadly, the missing story mode and poorly executed quick play options make it difficult for F1 24 to fulfill its potential.
-
Jun 26, 2024F1 24 takes the most appreciable leaps for the franchise in years but for all that it remains just an incremental upgrade for owners of the 2023 version. If you haven’t kept up to speed lately with Codemasters’ revisions, however, then F1 24 is the new model to get the pulse racing.
-
May 30, 2024While F1 24 marks significant progress, it's not without its shortcomings. Persistent issues such as the lack of finesse in AI behavior and complexities in currency management detract slightly from the overall enjoyment. Moreover, support for enthusiast hardware remains inconsistent, and certain features like the absence of custom team entry in co-op career mode may disappoint some players. Despite these drawbacks, F1 24 remains a compelling choice for fans of the franchise, offering a thrilling and immersive racing experience worthy of consideration. F1 24 proves to be a worthwhile addition to the series, albeit with room for further refinement in future iterations.
-
May 30, 2024F1 24 is another installment that fits the mold of an annual update, without introducing many significant changes to the series. The new features in the career mode bring minimal impact to the overall experience, and the updates to handling and physics are somewhat subjective.
-
May 28, 2024EA Sports F1 24 arrives with the season already in full swing, but still manages to present a solid proposal. With overhauled modes and a few additions, it gives you that boost for another year of high-speed racing on the virtual Formula 1 tracks. However, it's important to be ready to adapt to the new physics.
-
May 28, 2024Full of content and familiar elements, it shows some improvements from the previous iteration, but could have done better in some choices.
-
May 28, 2024F1 24’s fantastic Career mode overhaul is the evolution the series’ single-player content needed. New elements like playable real-world drivers, secret team meetings, and on-track objectives all add much-needed depth. Unfortunately, some rather pedestrian AI and minimal updates elsewhere make F1 24 a mild upgrade overall.
-
May 28, 2024Don’t get me wrong, F1 24 is by no means a bad, or even average game, and if you’re a fan of the series, you will absolutely have a great time with it. The new changes there are meaningful, especially for veterans of the series who enjoy getting to grips with the deeper mechanics. But if you’re a casual player just looking to jump on and do a few races now and then, F1 24 may feel less like a brand-new title, and more like a $70 update to a game you already own.
-
May 28, 2024F1 24 does not represent the evolutionary step that, for example, F1 23 had been compared to its predecessor, but it is undoubtedly a valid product that will entertain Formula 1 lovers for dozens of hours thanks to a simple and satisfying driving system and a large content package and varied.
-
Jun 4, 2024F1 24 delivers enjoyable arcade-style driving mechanics with improved car handling and noticeable tire wear effects, yet disappoints with AI aggression and the absence of accidents during races. Despite technical upgrades and a robust Career mode, its annual release cycle results in less content and lingering issues like long loading times.
-
Jun 3, 2024F1 24 does not reinvent the wheel, but it does bring in some changes that keep the series feeling fresh and fun to play. The new Driver Career changes and Dynamic Handling system might not seem like massive upgrades at first, but their addition to the game makes it worth checking out.
-
Jun 3, 2024F1 24 suffers from the syndrome of many annualized sports licenses. The Codemasters developers took a risky gamble by modifying the gameplay of the previous edition which had, in our opinion, found an interesting balance between simulation and arcade. Accessible to everyone and rich in content, F1 24 is a convincing automotive title, but which does not bring major changes except for driving which will not suit everyone. From there, it will really depend on everyone's interest in this franchise, but the need for renewal is becoming glaring.
-
May 28, 2024Less assured and sorely missing story mode, this feels like a downgrade over F1 23.
-
Jun 26, 2024While the changes to the career mode have given F1 24 a "new feel", it still feels "rushed" in general.
-
Jun 16, 2024There are still a few more kinks to iron out, then, but regardless of these issues, F1 24's on-track action remains robust and engaging. The overhauled Driver Career mode is also a net positive, even if some of its ideas don't quite come off, yet an enduring sense of deja vu is present elsewhere. This makes F1 24 difficult to recommend if you've played any of the most recent games in the series. There aren't enough new ideas here, and modes like F1 World continue to disappoint by focusing on cosmetics in a game where your avatar is rarely seen. F1 24 is a terrific game in isolation, and the new Driver Career mode will be enough for some players, but it feels like another game hampered by the demands of its annual release schedule.
-
Jun 3, 2024F1 24 is a definite step backward for the Codemasters and Electronic Arts series. Many of the new features introduced in this new iteration are not only unconvincing, but in fact go to the detriment of a game formula that is admittedly old but at least works. With less content than last year and an outdated graphics compartment, the 2024 edition of the official Formula 1 video game is nothing more than a homework assignment. While waiting for a revolution that may never come, unfortunately this remains the only alternative for fans of the top motorsport championship.
-
May 30, 2024F1 24 is definitely an upgrade over the 2023 version, but not a big one. The single-player modes are getting the biggest overhauls, and if you’re a fan of those, you’ll love them. Everything else, though, looks fairly similar to what it looked like in F1 23, but with a new logo taped over it.
-
May 28, 2024F1 24 represents only a small, weak and in many ways unnecessary step forward for Codemasters' series. The driving sensations are very similar compared to the past with some incomprehensible and unrealistic behaviors. The newly added content can be glossed over and does not add much value to the production. Perhaps the developers should cut out the older generation consoles and change the game's distribution model to get back on the right path.
-
May 28, 2024As with all yearly titles, you always have the feeling the dev team is keeping something in its pocket for the future, but it’s a big improvement over last year’s game. That said, if the wide range of experiences available here weren’t enough, the level of refinement achieved on the track proves the EA Sports F1 series is a staple for motorsport fans.
-
Jun 23, 2024Particularly complicated release for F1 24, which is trying as best it can to catch up at the last minute with the deployment of its update 1.3 aimed mainly at correcting the enormous physics problems. The career mode, complete, pleasant and immersive, fortunately serves as a pillar for a title which gives us the unpleasant sensation of playing an early access game designed on the basis of F1 23, the fault of the low number of real new features which, for the most part, don't even seem complete. Unchanged graphics, 4 reworked circuits, generic VR, bugs that still persist and physics still being modified following player feedback... at the time we are writing this test, it seems very complicated to recommend the purchase of the game compared to its predecessor , and even more so at the maximum price of €80. EA now has a lot to do to quickly correct an F1 24 which despite everything has interesting potential, but which suffers enormously from its far too rapid pace of release, where an annual update between two opuses would allow the teams to breathe to offer a real game over.
-
Jun 20, 2024Overall, the new F1 24 game is a weaker addition to the series, it doesn't add much news this year, it doesn't even have a story mode, and the authors have changed the physics model. It is such a double-edged sword - on the one hand, it can please casual players, but disappoint more experienced simulation players.
-
Jun 10, 2024For everything else, F1 24 remains a fun racer and offers a couple of notable improvements from its predecessor. Career mode is more enjoyable with its new mechanics and handling feels better, though other meaningful changes are minimal. Existing Formula 1 fans will likely have plenty of fun, and I still had a great time hitting the tracks; just don't expect a major upgrade.
-
Jun 5, 2024More casual players of the series who just want to experience the racing on offer will find much less to write home about in F1 24. To an unseasoned eye, the experience here is largely similar to last year’s offering, with one track fewer and sans the continuation of Braking Point, which is a bi-annual affair. As such, F1 24 is a mis-season refresh, and a much harder sell than usual with this yearly release.
-
Jun 4, 2024If you’ve eagerly anticipated this year’s entry into Codemasters’ popular F1 series, I hate to say that you might be better off sticking to F1 23. Time will tell if the developers can correct the issues plaguing the handling system. I anticipate they’ll have a fix released sooner rather than later, given that even professionals like Lando Norris have admitted that F1 24 feels awkward and unrealistic. If you’re committed to jumping in this year, do so with your expectations in check. Even if Codemasters fixes F1 24’s most glaring issues, the fact still remains that this is an excessively minor update.
-
Jun 3, 2024Unfortunately, F1 24 feels more like an update - and not a very big one at that. As was with the 2022 release, we are dealing with a ‘transitional’ instalment: more of a testing ground for new ideas and mechanics, while the developers focus more on the next year's bigger game.
-
May 31, 2024F1 24 is again an 'in-between game' in which new content is scarce. The career mode is fun, but not enough to pull the cart in a year without Braking Point. Dynamic Handling has potential, but the first version misses the mark in most areas.
-
May 29, 2024F1 24's new additions and changes, including its barebones Career Mode and overly forgiving Dynamic Handling system, often do more harm than good, making this a solid but skippable entry for anyone other than the most diehard fans.
-
May 28, 2024Like real world F1 at the moment, F1 24’s a bit of a mixed bag, but it feels like, if it can be built on going forwards, it could be the starting point for something you won’t feel quite as much like you can skip out on and not miss much.
-
Jul 12, 2024Lack of imagination leads to the monotony of a game that was offered as new when it could have been just seasonal content, making F1 24 the most unnecessary game we could buy this year. The only notable thing here is the good graphics and traditional immersion that fans appreciate.

Jul 7, 2024EA Sports F1 24 handling is wrong. The physics don't work properly and cause excessive grip on the cars, something that completely ruins the experience. Although the Career mode has received very good changes, the game doesn't have enough new features.
