Aug 2, 2023It’s completely normal that the next installments of a sports series evolve slowly. Fortunately, sometimes there is a revolution – F1 23 is one such example. The game is well thought out, has some excellent changes, and has a terrific steering/traction model that makes it one of the best sports games ever.

Jul 5, 2023For fans of the F1 series, this all comes down to one question, and it's the same one asked last year: Is it worth picking up F1 23 if you already have last year's title? In my opinion, the F1 World mode and the improved vehicle physics are noteworthy upgrades and feel more than what could realistically have been DLC or a patch for the previous title. The improvements for controller users are especially noticeable, and I suspect that most people playing F1 23 are indeed using that control scheme. When you combine all of that and consider the continuation and improvements made to Breaking Point, it's pretty easy to recommend picking up F1 23.
-
Jun 19, 2023Surprisingly, EA and Codemasters deliver one of the biggest and best F1 games with F1 23 – a massive playground for those who love motorsports and high speed. And thanks to F1 World, casual gamers are now more welcome than ever.
-
Jun 13, 2023The exciting story mode, the motivating F1 world and considerably improved handling make F1 23 an exceptional racing game.
-
Jun 13, 2023The excellent story, still-superlative career and loot-based F1 World make for a convincing and gigantic F1 experience.
-
Jul 28, 2023Overall, F1 23 is a surprise and a significant improvement of the series, especially compared to the weaker F1 22, it is a nice jump. It has a lot of content for both single player and multiplayer drivers.
-
Jul 17, 2023F1 23 is a remarkable racing experience that surpasses its predecessor in nearly every aspect. The improved physics and AI, along with new features such as the red flag and 35% race distance, Breaking Point narrative mode akin to Drive To Survive, and the Precision Drive Technology, which takes the driveability to a whole new level, all contribute to making F1 23 the greatest Formula 1 simulation game in the franchise's history. If you're into racing games, race culture, and the excitement of Drive to Survive, then you absolutely can't miss out on F1 23 - it's a must-have for any racing game fans!
-
Jul 11, 2023The latest installment of the popular Formula 1 simulator puts the series back on the right track. You can still have some complaints about F1 23, but improved AI, a new driving model, and more restraint in bombarding players with DLC purchase offers have made the new Codemasters game worthy of attention.
-
Jun 13, 2023F1 23 represents the natural evolution of an already well-established series, strongly linked to the good things done in the past, but without neglecting modern trends, pursued even by Formula 1 itself.
-
Jun 13, 2023F1 23 improves in many aspects even though it doesn't excel in others. The return of Braking Point is highly appreciated. We also appreciate the changes in the driving model, as well as the improvements on the controller and steering wheel side. The increased force feedback gives hope for future developments. We are a bit disappointed with the technical department, which could definitely do more, especially on the new consoles. We are certain that these limitations are a consequence of the game being released on previous-generation consoles as well. Unfortunately, it's a compromise almost necessary to satisfy a wider user base. All in all, though, we are facing a game that always manages to achieve a good final result.
-
Jul 1, 2023Although there aren’t many changes here, this year’s entry still is a great F1 game, and the additions, while small, are very welcome.
-
Sep 5, 2023While bugs and issues can stand in the way of your enjoyment, F1 23 has a lot of content, and its VR mode in particular is sensational. The story mode’s scenario also felt deeper when compared to previous entries.
-
Jul 18, 2023The new benchmark for the Codemasters saga? F1 23 via the breath of EA Sports releases the best vintage in terms of content for the license, especially thanks to the addition of the F1 World mode. Even if you are not really well guided towards the latter, it will fill many hours of your time with its many well-renewed challenges and quests. A lack now filled for the Formula 1 saga, which is still going around in circles in the animations and its technical rendering. The 2023 opus is a great gateway to the world of single-seaters, with the bonus of the continuation of Point de Rupture, the rather interesting Drive to Survive scenario.
-
Jun 29, 2023If F1 23 don't seem to be interested in renewal, the return of Breaking Point and the notable improvements in driving let the games easily get a high score.
-
Jun 18, 2023Overall, F1 23 is in good health and is recommended to all fans of the sport. It positions itself on both the arcade and sim racing sides as a competent and improved game over its predecessors. With the ability to provide a more authentic and immersive experience for players, as well as a unique perspective through Breaking Point 2. It might be far from perfect, but it's a big step in the right direction. We look forward to the future of the franchise.
-
Jun 13, 2023F1 23 is a strong entry that amends a lot of the damage done by its predecessor. The innovations to on-track racing are significant enough that franchise fans will be able to justify the price for that alone. Especially those that rack up most of their hours playing with friends or in competitive leagues. For casual players, the arrival of F1 World and the return of Braking Point should offer enough to keep them entertained. Although, the total neglect of My Team and co-op career is hard to ignore and will be a deal breaker for some.
-
Jun 13, 2023Codemasters had a tough nut to crack in order to please die-hard fans after a frosty reception of F1 22. New game refines aspects of the previous installment, but there's also no lack of new features and changes "under the hood", which will surely be appreciated by the most demanding racing enthusiasts.
-
Jun 13, 2023F1 23 is a major step forward from its predecessor. The handling overhaul combined with new modes make this entry the best F1 game there's been in years.
-
Jun 13, 2023While F1 23 mostly feels iterative in its execution, it’s still the best F1 racing experience you can get for your money. The racing experience feels more lifelike than ever, with the subtle tweaks to the car handling resulting in a far more engaging drive. Breaking Point 2 is a bit of a melodramatic dud, but then again, so is the source material that it’s based on. There’s definitely more scope for innovation, but fans of the series will likely feel satiated with this year’s entry into the F1 racing series.
-
Jul 19, 2023F1 23 falls short in the same areas as its predecessors have over many years. There's a great single player experience let down by a completely neglected multiplayer, which brings the games longevity into question. Those who love the F1 games regardless will find this iteration to at least be better in some ways.
-
Jun 13, 2023F1 23 is an improvement over last year's iteration, but not nearly as impactful of an upgrade. Here's hoping that the F1 series can continue to build on its successes and take a page out of Red Bull's recent Formula 1 dominance: incremental updates are more valuable than wholesale changes.
-
Jun 13, 2023In conclusion, F1 23 has few standout innovations compared to last year’s game, and is lucky enough to come along with a genuine revolution in the sport.
-
Jun 18, 2023F1 23 is a face wash that promises to give us the best immersion possible without even getting better over the years. Its graphics are amazing, the story mode Braking Point 2 and My Team work well, but the most important thing is that there is not much difference with its predecessor. With the new circuits, the game appears more modern and fresh.

Jun 21, 2023Between the enhanced controls, new features and F1 World, F1 23 presents a welcome improvement on its predecessor. While PC VR support feels more reliable, several problems stop this from becoming the definitive VR racing game, and Braking Point sometimes misses the mark. Even still, EA goes beyond a standard roster update and I can see myself returning to the grid frequently. [Recommended]
