    It’s a simple premise that’s executed perfectly.

Extreme Exorcism will have a fairly broad appeal, given the simplicity of the mechanics. You'll likely need to explain to your non-gaming friends how it works, but even the most staunch luddites will be able to grasp what's going on.

If you think "battle your past selves doing exactly what you did in previous lives" is a cool concept, then neat, you'll probably get a scant few minutes of fun out of this game before it gets unbearably old and you want something more. If you don't think it's particularly cool, then bad news, this game has nothing else to offer aside from that one sentence and a couple different weapons and stage hazards.

One fun mechanic does not make an entire game worth playing.
