Apr 10, 2015Its a repetitive game, have few players on PC. Has the most overpriced DLCs i've already seen. And to get even worst, the balances that had happened don't fiz the bugs, but always nerfs the hunters and makes the mosnters even more overpowered. So...Don't worth buying this.

Feb 11, 2015Not enough content to be worth $80. Simple as that. Check out the store page for yourself. Its a game that milks its customers. Wait for the game to be the inevitable GOTY bundle, vote with your wallets, and stop letting game companies think these kinds of business practices are fine.

Feb 14, 2015A boring pile of overhyped horse crap, that will have its player base die faster than Titanfall. Feel free to throw your money away if you must have this game. Feel free to throw even more away with tye countless micro transaction options it offers.
-
Feb 10, 2015This game is very boring. Once you have played 10 minutes, you've played all of it. There's no variation, the DLC practices are an abomination and there's not enough content. There are already plenty of good online FPSes out there, this is just another one saturating the market, completely unecessary, no reason to buy this over any other. Avoid it.
-
Feb 15, 2015First thing first. I don't own the game. Here is why......
$85 of DAY ONE DLC!!! They took a meat cleaver to this game. Cut out most of the content to sell in top of the $60 entry fee. It sets terrible a precedent for future games.
If you purchase this or like this you're enabling the death of gaming as we know it. -
Nov 6, 2018jesus christ, boring garbage, I cant fathom while anyone would rate this positively
-
Feb 14, 2015bought it and was treated to $130 worth of DLC not included in the game..
the game is a DLC scam ..
gameplay is maybe 5 there's no campaign no real replay after about a day ..
Just Turtle Rock cashing in on the name they had after making L4D ..
Scam game is a scam -
Feb 10, 2015This is greed at it's worst. If you can't have a halfway decent revenue model for your game without pissing off literally almost ALL of the community then what was the point to begin with?
Oh yeah, console drones ARE that dumb. -
Feb 10, 2015This is EA level of stupidity in regards to DLC, and the unnecessary fracturing of a complete game, all for the sake of the almighty dollar.
Pathetic. -
Feb 10, 2015Out of the box and the game already doesn't work. It's riddled with DLC so you can see where the developer's priorities lie. I feel cheated. There's already nearly a page of DLC on the steam store page that adds up to $85, much more than the core game itself.
-
Feb 16, 2015Feck you and your DLC money grabbing bullsheet. Just release a game and we'll buy it like in the old days. C0cks. more words more words more words.more words more words more words.

Feb 10, 2015This game gets old fast. Extremely repetitive and a shallow game for 60$. Don't waste your money, this game will cost less than a gourmet hamburger in a few months.
-

-
Feb 28, 2015A very incomplete and repetitive game. Games end in 5 minutes because of an inexperienced monster or games last longer than 25 minutes because the tracker doesn't know how to locate and trap the monster.
-
Feb 11, 2015Save your money for May so that you can support a real developer like cd projekt red that won't nickel and dime you left and right. This game has to fail in order to avoid a collapse in the gaming industry. I hope it bombs financially after reading quotes from the developer and publisher.
-
Feb 10, 2015This game costs $103 AUD in Australia ($79.99 USD in the steam store in AU) and there simply isn't enough things to do or long term replay value in my opinion to make it worth it.

Feb 11, 2015Day 1 DLC to actually have a complete game = -5 points.
Other than that, it's a fun game for a few hours, then it's extremely repetitive. So review outside of DLC = 6/10, day 1 DLC = 1/10.
Don't buy. -

Feb 16, 2015Dear publishers. Give me day-one full-content, full-length games. Leave your DLC and micro-transactions to yourself. Stop bs gamers. I'm fed up already.
-
Feb 11, 2015Yet another reminder that pre-purchasing any game is a bad idea. I pity all the players who just see the score of 83 on steam thinking it is an awesome game and pay 50€ for this. 50€ for this is just a fraud.

-
Feb 11, 2015Even if all the extra monsters and classes had been included in the $60 US release then it still would not have enough content. It's not like they had to write their own game engine. Time to hire a new business team.
-
Feb 10, 2015Bad game...to much money for it,for dlc,for skins and others. Here's a tip...NEVER buy a game that already have "awards" when it has not been release yet. They will turn out like Destiny and other crappy "award winning games"
-
Feb 15, 2015Heh Heh Heh. Somebody actually thought you could sell a multiplayer only game for 60 bucks and throw in incredibly needless DLC and not get metabombed. What a joke.
-

Feb 27, 2015Is this supposed to be any fun? Tedious, borring, no compelling story. Single player is an excuse. No sense of progression. I have a fealing that nothing matters. Another over hyped piece of trash like Destiny and Titan Fall. When will we get some games with some meaning instead of this mindless rinse and repeat multiplayer for the sake of multiplayer.

Feb 10, 2015The best "buying DLC simulator" I have ever played! I wish companies would stop doing this, greed gets them nowhere. So many things that should have been included aren't.
-
Feb 11, 2015Over hyped, over priced, CRAP! It's a veritable DLC buggering, they have your pants down and now it's entering you, the devious crowd at 2K and Turtle Rock cheer as you are ass raped!
I rent games, because I have a brain.
Don't buy crap games and NEVER pre-order, you might as well hand them the friggin lube and bend over.
Crap game, boring and super crap. -

Feb 12, 2015Product: 3/10
extremely repetitive and really unbalanced. Beautiful, yes, but not fun passed 4 hours max. 10 games, you've done it all.
Marketing: -3/10
Day 1 DLC, just NO! All DLCs cost more than the game itself. This is unacceptable. Period. -
Feb 11, 2015$7 for a texture, Even shutterstock isn't that expensive.
Shameful cash grab by shameful publishers, aided and abetted by a shameful gaming press that are happy to give a multiplayer game 10/10 on launch day. -
Feb 12, 2015Running simulator 2015.
DLC Scam simulator 2015
Terrible port simulator 2015
Unbalanced simulator 2015
Keep your money simulator 2015
This is the prime exemple of a terrible game design from start to finish. Stay away from this garbage. -
Jul 10, 2016It was nothing short of a scam. They stole $60 from everyone who bought the game. Congratz leechers you get a free game and you are happy about it because some one else payed for it.
-
Feb 10, 2015$60 for a multiplayer game. Then you have the DLC that has Moba prices. $5 for a single skin. $15 for a single monster, and $7.50 per hunter that honestly should have already been in the game. Oh and if you didn't pre order you're going to have to cough up $15 for the next monster.
-
Feb 12, 2015Worst DLC Strategy ever! Game is fun but then they decided to slap the hands that feed them. Pay $100 and you get the full game!. If they wanted to charge for the large assortment of skins like this, then it should have been a freemium game.
-
Feb 18, 2015Lacks an extreme amount of content and gets boring pretty quickly. 60$ is way too much for the amount of content currently in the game. I'd recommend waiting until price is at least half until you consider buying this game.
-
Feb 12, 2015Was looking forward to trying this game out, however it wont run on my GTX860m so i guess i wont be testing it after all. My laptop runs Dying Light on Medium/high smoothly but I guess this game is too advanced. A shame they cant make games anymore, guess i will join the console scrubs from now on.
-
Feb 15, 2015I refuse to support DLC scams like Evolve. I will add 2K Games to the list with EA, Ubisoft and Activision. These companies are on my list of worst video game developers in the world. I refuse to purchase their games. I have hundreds of games to play, none of them from these companies. Thank you Steam!

Feb 11, 2015A mediocre and repetitive cat and mouse running simulator strangled by its own anti-consumer DLC scheme.
The entire experience as of release (if you want everything and you also pre-ordered), costs $160, $130 too many. -
Feb 14, 2015
-
Feb 11, 2015At what point do we get to call this a scam?
When a developer makes content for a game. Then removes that content from the game. Charges us FULL price and then tries to sell us the content they removed for more than the cost of the original product?
I think at that point, we get to call the a scam. -

Feb 11, 2015The game costs way too much for what is offered. 2K killed this one, and I choose not to support ridiculously priced DLC. I hope you choose not to stand for overpriced madness that is killing games these days.
-
Feb 11, 2015The in game shop (just like one of a free to play title) is a bad joke for a full price title and the "exclusive pre order monster" will be buyable for 15€...
What a ripoff -
Feb 12, 2015a good game locked behind 100 dollars of dlc with an already base price of 60 dollars its frankly pityful that they decided to put a good game into a basically free to play format but still make you pay up front, it had the potential to be good
-
Feb 12, 2015The DLC on release they've added to this is insulting and cold bloodedly corporate. It's a shame to see 2K go the way of EA. Last time I buy one of 2Ks products too. Corporate *****.
-
Feb 12, 2015You pay the large price for the rite to unlock the DLC. You don't even get what you pay for right out of the box. Day 1 DLC is disgusting practice. Fortunately I was able to get a refund.
-
Feb 12, 2015This game is a scam, avoid it like the plague. They have day one dlc that should be included with the game and it isn't even that good from what I've heard.
-
Feb 14, 2015Hey, Turtle Rock, next time try selling the game all at once for a reasonable sum, or sell it piecemeal through the free-to-play process -- but don't be dicks and try to do both. It's really repugnant and has been the sole reason I have not purchased this game.

Feb 15, 2015This game has everything.
Action, great graphics, great premise, great sound.
Sadly it is missing the one thing games absolutely require:
FUN
Its really just not a fun game. Left for Dead was and still is a blast. This is just drab.
And like others mentioned, the DLC really is a pretty obscene cash grab.

-
Feb 20, 2015Nothing but a quick cash grab. If you're up for spending twice as much as the retail price for a game i'd rate a 6 at the most even without the dlc, after buying the game. Go for it. Otherwise stay far away. I can't believe it has a 78.

Nov 1, 2015Evolve is unquestionably one of the best multiplayer games to arrive in the last few years.
-
Apr 19, 2015When Evolve plays nice and doesn’t annoy you with technical problems, it is kind of fun, provided you play not more than one campaign a day. But, really, you can get the same fun in any decent f2p shooter. Like Team Fortress 2, for example.
-
Games Master UKApr 9, 2015Imbalanced and repetitive to a disappointing degree, but when it hits the mark it can be great. [April 2015, p.56]
