Nov 24, 2025Escape from Tarkov's world is unforgiving, and is definitely not for casual play. Yet, its the challenge and engaging gameplay that makes it all the better. It's still weighed down by bugs and glitches and connection issues here and there, as well as the disappointing lack of (free) PvE, but it's a solid FPS extraction game for those looking for an extra hard challenge.

Dec 15, 2025Escape from Tarkov offers daring and somewhat masochistic players a highly immersive video game experience within a dystopian, realistic, and believable universe. Battlestate Games' extraction shooter stands out from other games in the genre with its uncompromising vision, intense gunfights, and rich content. However, only veterans can truly enjoy version 1.0, as they completely dominate the exclusion zone. EFT is primarily aimed at this elite group and shows little empathy for newcomers, who are likely to rage quit out of sheer frustration. The game also suffers from a real lack of optimization, a counter-intuitive interface, and unreliable matchmaking. These are all flaws that shouldn't exist in 2025.

Nov 24, 2025Escape From Tarkov might have been one of the first major extraction shooters, but the genre as a whole still has a lot to learn from its core gameplay and how it builds up tension.
-
Nov 24, 2025The underwhelming release version of a shooter classic that shines mainly thanks to its mercilessly realistic atmosphere.

Dec 2, 2025As the hardcore pioneer of the extraction shooter, Escape from Tarkov is still quite compelling, but it's also saddled with issues that range from technical problems to pay-to-win monetization.

Nov 20, 2025Escape from Tarkov delivers unmatched realism and punchy audio, but it’s still a ruthless, cluttered challenge with big technical problems. If you’re after an ultra-realistic shooter, this is the one — just be ready to treat it more like a lifestyle than a quick gaming session.
