    Un juegazo,mientras que vas avanzando de campaƱa la dificultad del juego va aumentando,normalmente el juego es difƭcil de por si,cuenta con grƔficos decentes para ser del 2001 y las campaƱas son buenƭsimas sobre todo la campaƱa de Rusia Novaya.En lo personal defino a este juego como una obra maestra.

    When Empire Earth was released, is was a serious competitor to the brilliant Age Of Empires series. And this game is still fun even today. A truckload of cool content, great ideas and enjoyable gameplay make Empire Earth shine! RTS newbies might be a little frustrated, but this game is gold!

    1) GRAFICA Non c'ĆØ molto da dire sulla grafica, ma ĆØ buono notare come ai tempi del 2001, questo gioco abbia deciso di usare grafiche 3D. Alcune grafiche non sono un granchĆ©, ma altre sono buone. 2) STORIA Empire    Empire Earth ĆØ un gioco del 2001, ed ĆØ un RTS abbastanza accettabile. Ma perchĆ©? E cosa la rende unica da altri RTS come Age of Empires? Permettetemi di spiegare:

    1) GRAFICA

    Non c'ĆØ molto da dire sulla grafica, ma ĆØ buono notare come ai tempi del 2001, questo gioco abbia deciso di usare grafiche 3D. Alcune grafiche non sono un granchĆ©, ma altre sono buone.

    2) STORIA

    Empire Earth non ha una propria storia, ma ha quattro campagne, suddivise fra la campagna greca (dove si va da Troia fino alla persia), inglese (nell'epoca medievale fino alla battaglia di Waterloo), tedesca (dove c'ĆØ persino un livello ambientato sull'ipotetica operazione Sea Lion), e russa (dove al contrario delle altre, ĆØ una storia nuova che coinvolge anche il viaggio nel tempo).

    3) COSE CHE PORTA EMPIRE EARTH

    Ci sono diverse novitĆ  che Empire Earth ha portato, e che sono state adottate anche da altri RTS. Prime fra tutte sono il morale, che permette ad un'unitĆ  o ad un'edificio di rimanere in piedi a lungo, affinchĆ© sono tra il raggio d'azione di un'eroe guerriero o un municipio con case dentro tale raggio d'azione; le meraviglie, strutture grandi che danno dei bonus una volta costruite; l'albero della tecnologia, in cui c'ĆØ la possibilitĆ  di aggiornare truppe e migliorare certe cose, e ben altro ancora, tipo l'area d'influenza di un'edificio, il limite di popolazione, unitĆ  che hanno la capacitĆ  di usare un'abilitĆ  al costo di mana, e ben altro ancora.

    Tuttavia la maggior innovazione che Empire Earth ha portato, e che verrĆ  adottata, ĆØ il fatto che si puĆ² passare dall'etĆ  atomica fino a quella nanotecnologica (permettendo costruzioni di aeroporti, carri armati e cyborg).

    3) VOICE ACTING
    Curiosamente, in un gioco come Empire Earth, c'ĆØ il doppiaggio. Alcune parti non sono curate, ma il resto ĆØ passabile, decente o buono.

    4) GAMEPLAY

    Per il gameplay non c'ĆØ molto da dire, in quanto ha lo stesso concetto di un RTS: ottieni materiali, costruisci strutture, etc...
    Tuttavia, ogni truppa ĆØ specializzata per un tipo di tattica. Un'esempio sono le artiglierie, utili per eliminare gruppi di nemici, o i bombardieri nucleari, utili per radere gli edifici scomodi.
    Altra cosa ĆØ la capacitĆ  di convertire unitĆ  attraverso sacerdoti, ed indebolire i nemici con il grido di battaglia.

    Le uniche pecche sono il fatto che l'AI nemica varia fra l'imbrogliona (difatti ha un sacco di risorse a differenza tua) o fra la stupida, in quanto certe unitĆ  nemiche non faranno niente o si muoveranno a caso.

    In tutto ciĆ², il mio voto ĆØ 8. Certo, ci sono anche altri problemi, come il fatto che l'online non ĆØ piĆ¹ disponibile (risolvibile attraverso una patch) o che non funzionerĆ  con le nuove versioni di Windows... Ma nonostante ciĆ², ĆØ un titolo a cui vale la pena di darci un'occhiata.    … Expand

    Very good RTS game, based on AoE games, with possibility to build your empire through all ages and also future.
    Fun to play with friends or for single-player campaign.

    For the most obvious, the game looks atrocious. Yes, it's one of the first (if not the first) RTS games to be fully 3D rendered (because Total Annihilation only had 3d units), but it hasn't aged well - animations are stiff, units move around like they're on    A classic from an era when RTS games were prevalent, but hasn't aged nearly as gracefully as some other titles of the time period.

    For the most obvious, the game looks atrocious. Yes, it's one of the first (if not the first) RTS games to be fully 3D rendered (because Total Annihilation only had 3d units), but it hasn't aged well - animations are stiff, units move around like they're on ice, particle effects are crude and textures range from flat to horrifying (the faces on units are the best example).

    However, graphics shouldn't be the determinant factor, but the gameplay ain't much better either.

    The main gimmick of the game is that the ages cover a huge time period - from pre-agricultural stone age to futuristic sci-fi, you can carve our your chosen civilization across the whole of history - provided that you survive. While appealing as an idea (and certainly not a foreign concept in strategy games - Civilization games are likely the best example), in practice it's not...great. A good third of the ages are straight filler, barely providing anything, so much so that they could be removed with nothing of value being lost. Further, for most of the game, the dynamic of combat is fundamentally the same, with the same triangles consisting of the same units (more on that later). The latter ages offer more variety, since things like helicopters and submarines enter the picture.

    The combat of the game is very basic for an RTS game. Every unit belongs in a triangle, as in, counters one unit while being completely butchered by another unit. It's as RTS 101 as it gets. This leads to skirmishes being uninteresting since it mostly comes out to what is brought to the table. If you didn't have prior knowledge of your opponent's forces and happen to make opposite units, the encounter is done there and there. Units rarely have applications aside from being the counter to a specific unit.

    EE games are looooooong. Resources are essentially infinite, buildings are extremely tanky, and you can set up a giant economy to constantly pump units for the grinder. This leads to 1 to 2 hour matches, where gains for one player or another are small to nonexistent. Such stalemates become tiring quickly (even things like nukes barely aid you in breaking the adamantium shell that is your opponent's base).

    Overall, if one is interested in old RTS design and wants to see one of the grand daddies of the genre, it's good for a couple of hours, with several campaigns (of varying quality, mind you) to occupy time for a week or several, but other than curiosity, it's not a very good game    … Expand

    I love this game and after 18 years is the best RTS in my opinion.

    I would like to see Empire Earth 1 remake: upgrade graphics and priest!
    The balance and complexity of the game is perfect!

    A flawless RTS experience. It's so interesting the way you can begin in the prehistoric age and end up in a sci-fi universe. Due to the numerous ages ( if you play a full experience game ) you are forced to know the technologies and the unities of each one , changing the strategy in each age.
    Maybe for RTS beginners it's not a good option because of the amount of content.

    I love this game not only because it's a legendary strategy game that offers amazing freedom for even the creative and exploring minds but it's also an amazingly progressive game. Moving on from age to age is a wonder to see happen and the constant feuds between capitals is amazing. I played it for hours without sleep or getting tired. Genius really.

    A good game. Actually, it's just like Age of Empires, but with a much much bigger tech tree, multiple tech epochs and 3D graphics. It's all classics of the RTS genre

    It is my opinion that this game was the apex of the RTS genre. Even amazing games like Supreme Commander fail to match up to the brilliance of Empire Earth. Empire Earth features in depth gameplay, stunning visuals, and an inspiring soundtrack. The pinnacle of the game is it's map and scenario editor.

    Best RTS I have ever played, hands down. Empire Earth has a steep learning curve, but once you got the basics down, it really is a fun experience with tons of replay value. The map and scenario editor really are icing on the cake.

    This game is not Age of Empires. At all. Other than the fact that they are both RTS. So everyone stop suggesting that.

    Otherwise, this game came out in 2001 and when it did it was great for its time and it still has replay value. One of my favorite RTS and games of all time, even though I gave it an 8, it is a fair score based on some small problems in the game.

    This is the one hell of a RTS game. Playing this game was a real eye-opener to me. Even though the gameplay was really similar to the one of the Age of Empires series. I was only a little boy, but had an huge imagination. The basics of the Prehistoric Age fitted right, and all my expectations of the evolution tot the Nano Age were displayed on a screen in front of my eyes. For its time,This is the one hell of a RTS game. Playing this game was a real eye-opener to me. Even though the gameplay was really similar to the one of the Age of Empires series. I was only a little boy, but had an huge imagination. The basics of the Prehistoric Age fitted right, and all my expectations of the evolution tot the Nano Age were displayed on a screen in front of my eyes. For its time, the graphics weren't that horrible. The sound effects I kept imitating after hours of playing in one time are still burned in my memory. If you're wondering what the campaign was like, I can't remember unfortunately... But I can tell you, this game i definitely worth the money.… Expand

    This game was pretty good.The evolution from Stone Age to the Nano Age seemed an innovative idea.
    Unfortunately, the gameplay is copied from Age of Empires.No civilization, there is only one that collect bonuses.Campaigns are boring, the stories do not attract.The downside is the graphics, though it is 3D, you can not rotate camera.And the units are unfinished and square.

    I'm also bothered by mixing cultures, ex: in the Dark Ages find legionaries,barbarians and Persians together in the barracks.I am bothered by the fact that in the Nano Age, people still cut trees with axes and still use Pickaxe.

    I grew up with RTS games such as this as well as Age of Empires II. Empire Earth and Age of Empires have their similarites, but I believe they are quite different games. The campaigns of Empire Earth are historically accurate and a bunch of fun to play. Skirmish mode is great too. If you enjoy slower paced RTS games than Empire Earth is a game that is certainly worth buying, if not, thenI grew up with RTS games such as this as well as Age of Empires II. Empire Earth and Age of Empires have their similarites, but I believe they are quite different games. The campaigns of Empire Earth are historically accurate and a bunch of fun to play. Skirmish mode is great too. If you enjoy slower paced RTS games than Empire Earth is a game that is certainly worth buying, if not, then try Age of Empires. Either way this is up there on the best RTS games ever list.… Expand

    Good Game, I liked Like Civilization. I tried once in normal and then I used some cheats I found on the net, Awesome Experience... Definitely one that you NEED to have on your gaming collection

    Painful and slow gameplay make it incomprehensible that this game actually came after Age of Empires I. To me it feels like a primitive predecessor of that classic game in every way.

    The game is nice. Has excellent graphics, nice audio and it's pretty easy to play. But it's too much. It's like having 5games in one: The "chongo" age- rome - medieval - actual - futurist, and I really only like the 3rd and 5th. It's an unbelievable quantity... to much for me. It doesn't let you make a good strategic plan, specially if you are an "age block" overThe game is nice. Has excellent graphics, nice audio and it's pretty easy to play. But it's too much. And when you get the robots! Just make a big group of them and you'll win. I liked a lot more the Age of Empires-Age of mythology games. This is just plain fight. Anyways, it's a cool game. It's like an amusement park. You wait a lot, but finally get exitement. That's his game. The campaigns are amazing, specially the german, even if it's in the age I most hate.
