    Earthlock: Festival of Magic from Snowcastle Games is an absolute nostalgic joy to play. Feeling at once both reverential for classic 16-bit JRPGs and novel due to its western stylized setting and systems, Earthlock is a grand start to an RPG trilogy, and well worth the meager price of admission.

    Pros:
    -MUSIC
    -Graphics -Battles force you to adapt your strategy -Awesome boss fights -Feels like what Final Fantasy SHOULD be, an    Pros:

    -Feels like what Final Fantasy SHOULD be, an updated RPG with a sort of old school feel
    -Did I mention the sound?

    Cons:
    -Camera is wonky and uncontrollable
    -No mouse pointer (though you can use mouse buttons if you take the time to assign them)
    -Pairing system is awkward and feels unnecessary
    -Characters are mostly hollow and unlikeable (Gnart is my favorite so far)
    -Stunted dialogue, especially where there's supposed to be "banter" between characters

    Overall, the pros outweigh the cons by quite a bit. Highly recommended, especially if it's on sale on Steam.    … Full Review »
