Its one of the most detailed, old-school RTS titles weve come across since "StarCraft."
-
PC GamerIt packs plenty of punch for series newbies. [Holiday 2002, p.107]
-
If it's a strategic challenge you're after, Lost Souls might well be the game for you, and we don't hesitate before recommending it for anyone with the pang for tactics.
-
Die-hard fans of the series newcomers alike will find a lot to like in the game. But most anyone else would consider Earth 2150: Lost Souls to be essentially just a rehash.
-
The game is, admittedly, a bit slow compared to games like StarCraft, but its more complex than that, as well. Either way, Lost Souls is a game that tries new things, and even if they dont always seem that great, at least its a breath of fresh air.
-
While Lost Souls does add to the storyline of the series, attempting to extend the premise of the Earth's last days, there's absolutely no innovation or new features to truly make this game stand out.
-
Earth 2150 trilogy fans will be overwhelmed with this game. The rest of you would be better off with something else.
-
Its many positives cannot escape the pull of its non-intuitive interface and plodding pace.
-
Computer Games MagazineSuperb visuals still impress despite their age. [Jan 2003, p.73]
-
Fans of the series deserve the same content for far less money in the form of a true expansion pack, preferably one that actually adds fresh content beyond new scenarios.
-
Computer Gaming WorldJust a bunch of single-player missions that could have been made with the scenario editor. [Jan 2003, p.118]
