    After the patches the game has greatly improved and it looks so good and plays wonderfully now.

    Very good game, so many unique and fun characters to play with, I think I love this game!

    I am a huge fan of dynasty warriors. Every time they make a new game, they tinker with something. I think I enjoyed the gameplay of number 3 most. 4 seemed lackluster, then 5 was good. I think that tinkering and experimenting is wonderful, but I will also agree with everyone else that this title could have used some more player experience testing. The combat itself can be rather fun. ButI am a huge fan of dynasty warriors. Every time they make a new game, they tinker with something. The combat itself can be rather fun. But the tactical element does not feel particularly vital. My contribution to the fights as a whole doesnt feel that vital. Especially since I have taken to ignoring major battle points for hours at a time without any consequence. In the other games, the actual game will expire and you can lose by doing nothing. I like the open world concept, but it needs to be metered by a sense of urgency, or no battle at all perhaps. Or maybe you as the PC give the word to go ahead with a particular battle.

    I'm enjoying the hell out of this game regardless of those criticisms, but I can see why others would score it lower. Thank you again Koei for your hardwork, please continue to experiment and wow us.    … Expand

    Su mundo abierto es paupérrimo, pasas más tiempo cabalgando a caballo que matando enemigos.

    First of all. We are all aware how horrible the fps is. I had decent fps but it drops in big fights and such. Guess the first update they did?

    - Fixed an issue that incorrectly allowed unsupported languages to be selected by performing a specific method.

    Not only they did not focus on fixing FPS they had to go ahead and piss the Chinese/ ppl who wanted Chinese dub. They are trying to get rid of the way of getting it via modding. Which is retarded. and this piss alot of Chinese players as well, no wonder.

    Now back to the game.

    Open world - Its **** Horse****. Why? Cuz you have to ride a ridiculous amount of distance (2500+) to one location to another and it takes so long. China is just all plain everywhere, its just boring.

    Grappling hook are way too broken and defeats all purpose from dynasty warrior games. If the enemy lord is deep in the castle. just grapple ur way and kill him. u can just run past all troops, kill him and the story is done for that chapter.

    They got rid of tons of uniqueness from characters and now made them uses the same weapon as others (Clones). Claws, Bows, Crossbows, Daggers etc all removed and turned into generic weapons for characters.

    Hunting - its a fail. The animals never attack, u can just shoot them from a distance and they will never chase you or anything. just waiting to be shot and killed. its just so bad

    With the introduction of a unique button prompt that shows up when a enemy general is low. its just retarded, this allows you to kill every general in the game by one shotting them. Remember Lu Bu used to be strong?

    now hes piss easy to beat.

    Combos- They turned it down and made it 4 setup attacks, its dumb. You can infinitely stun lock someone to death in a 1vs1 situation and they can't do anything about it. The AI is extremely dumb and stupid and they will just eat all attack. so you just ride one location to the next then one shotting people.

    Difficulty wise the game has become a joke and this should not exist.

    As for controls, this is actually one of the worst controller support. 360, PS4 controller will not work until you manually go to big picture, enable steam overlay and do a bunch of stuff which is ridiculous.

    Also if you don't have a controller. You are **** You will not be able to finish the tutorial at start, the tutorial are insanely long and dumb and retarded. Cuz some buttons are just plain impossible to pull off with keyboard (some are unbindable and u will be stuck there in hours)

    Characters story wise its dumb cuz every character you unlock u have to start them all over again so it gets boring real fast. and you have to travel around China on a horse for 80% of your gameplay, and repeat that on every single character. how horrible and time wasting is that.

    Price: This **** is £59.99, like 80 Euro or 80$ whatever. Which is stupid and overpriced. All sort of issues and they dare try to scam people like that? just plain stupid

    I look forward to Total War Three Kingdoms, where the game will truly shine, only cost £39.99 on release and not this pile of crap    … Expand

    The HD remake of Dynasty Warriors 2 is finally here. Except with added bugs and terrible mechanics. On the bright side for the developers of Troy Musou. At least their game isn't the worst warriors game anymore.

    BIG fan of the franchise - the endless hack n slash, seamless combos, smooth animation and variety in characters and combat....well, there are characters in this. Terrible frame rate, battles spread out all over the place then finished in seconds. You can see what they were trying to do with the open world but in doing so they lost the essence that made SSM (DW) a great series.     Koei and Omega Force however, need to invest in a better engine FFS, I mean how cheap of them :S

    El mundo abierto es un fracaso, los escenarios están muy vacíos perdiendo así el concepto y la jugabilidad de la saga desde Dynasty Warriors 2.
    Intentaron evolucionar pero no salió bien.

    Lo jugué con una RTX 3070 y tuve problema de lag.
    Mucha falta de optimización del juego y la jugabilidad es tediosa; peor que la saga 6.

    Sufficiently good open world action game for me. I'm not gonna compare this one to the previous DW games because i didn't play them.
    Characters during cutscenes are fine but during dialogues they maybe seem like robots or lifeless but i don't care. I came for gameplay, which is actually pretty fun. A lot of unique characters (some of them with great weapons) with lot of skills and combos.    Sufficiently good open world action game for me. I'm not gonna compare this one to the previous DW games because i didn't play them.

    Neither Omega Force, nor the series were ready to handle so many changes at once. Dynasty Warriors 9 disappoints wherever you look, from performance issues and dumb stealth to ugly cinematics and boring open world.
