    I was able to get my hand on a copy of this game about 19 hours ago, and I have been playing it a good deal. Although I am not 100% through the game I am at the point where I have seen all it has to offer- so here is my review

    If the game paid more attention to the story, we would have the perfect originality for the zombie genre. The ambient is great, the idea too, but the characters are hardly striking not because they don't have potential, but because the story wasn't the main part of the game.

    Good game really, but.. the final phase is umbereable boring.. how could they finish a game like this this way? Try and fail until u just finish.. I am so pissed I had to play such a **** game phase.. how can they finish such a great game this way??..

    Игруха просто топ, пофиг на слабый сюжет, слабого гг, и второстепеных персонажей, сам геймплей просто тащит, такой кайф от игры получил. Ну помимо геймплея тут отличная атмосфера и мир, и саунтрек качает. Топовая игра. но немного мешали насладиться игрой это лаги, и посредственная оптимизация.Игруха просто топ, пофиг на слабый сюжет, слабого гг, и второстепеных персонажей, сам геймплей просто тащит, такой кайф от игры получил.     If you like Parkour and Zombies this is your game.

    The story, while interesting, is nothing to write about, but it fulfills its function as a narrative conduit so as not to bore.

    *GAMEPLAY*: A spectacle, with dozens of weapons and options to play as you like and a skill tree that works really well.
    The hook and chases are really a joy.

    *GRAPHICS*: Remarkable, but not excellent. However, you won't miss a better technical section in this game thanks to all the other sections.

    *SOUNDTRACK*: Although the soundtrack becomes repetitive, it is more than adequate, and the sound effects and the Spanish dubbing are excellent.

    *INNOVATION*: Zombies and Parkour in the same videogame. Nothing else to add.    … Expand

    absolutely a great game, the parkour is amazing, the story is really emotional if you invest in the characters you encounter in your zombie infested adventure. the ending thought, is so disappointing, its quick time events, which can be good, but in this game its just so short, and its overwhelming. other then that the game is just great.     It got fps parkour and more refined gameplay than dead island but other than that it is not that special.

    Story is meh. Nothing that interesting but enough to keep you in the game. Characters are generic. Atmosphere and location is also interesting but I prefer beaches and jungles.     Now for the problems I can't ignore:

    When you exit the game instead of dropping where you left, it left you where last tracked objectives is. You always need to select objective that is close to where you want to be. No manual save system.

    Virals are annoying as **** Game is telling you they only spawn if you make so much sound but they spawn no matter what you do. You run past bomber without even noticing, stupid virals spawn and quickly deplete your health.

    You can't actually clear a certain area. They keep coming but they don't stop coming.

    Guns are not powerful enough. Look I get it, this is melee focused game but I expect enemy to die if I shoot a basic zombie with shotgun in point blank range. Grenades are weak too. Both against zombies and humans.

    Limited weapon repairs.

    Interactive object colors are too gray. It is hard to notice what is interactable and what is not.

    You have to scroll all the way down to craft some things and game just tells you "you can craft a new item" without even telling what that item is.

    Even if you are high level the items that come from chests and police vans are insulting.

    Overall not a bad game but nothing too special. I had more fun with dead island.    … Expand

    jogo bom pra caralho, jogabilidade bastante divertida e achei o coop sensacional, infelizmente acabei zerando rápido demais e provavelmente deixei de notar alguns ótimos pontos da história, mas amo a continuidade do jogo e tem belos visuais, sejam cenários ou até mesmo os zumbis. jogaria de novo!!

    Dying light has terrible optimization of CPU usage. Pretty much all CPUs in existence can't handle it so any high-end GPU gets bottle-necked. You can't squeeze more than 60 FPS out of it with any hardware, when high-end GPUs could potentially run it at 120 FPS without CPU bottleneck.

    They added a ridiculous parkour system so you can go to the quest marker and press "E" at the location it sends you to so you can go back to X and press "E" to talk to the person who sent you there to end that "quest" and get another "go-to-X-and-press-E-" quest. Don't forget to pick up some firecrackers to distract the zombies. Yeah, someone's literally blocking the exit until you pick them up so you won't forget them. Hand holding at its finest.
    Oh! And they're making a SEQUEL! Seriously?! Who plays this garbage?!    … Expand

    I recently played this game again and i must say it is still not bad as for 2021 standars. If i judge it as 2021 game then the score would be around 6-7 but because of the fact that it's 2015 game i give it a 8.

    The story was a little boring and fake, but the gameplay mechanics great and very fun to play. Parkour is one of my favorite features in games so 8/10.

    A gameplay do jogo é uma mistura de Dead Island, Far cry e o parkour do Mirror edge, ou seja é otimo.
    O que mais gostei do game é afundar a cabeça de um zumbi com pé de cabra ou decepar com um machado, o jogo tem arma de fogo, mas é mais divertido as armas brancas, como machado, facão, foice e etc. O game é cheio de missões    Dying Light é um dos melhores games de zumbi que já joguei.

    Don't let the Dead Island affiliation sway you one way or the other, Dying Light is its own game and it's rightfully fun, but it's not something that is Game of the Year material to me. If you like zombie games and open world games then this is worth the pickup, but otherwise I'd skip it until it goes on sale, because it's still a really fun game no matter how you dice it.

    If you can get past the clunky storytelling and the repetitive missions, you might a diamond in the rough that really empowers you to revel in the design aspects of its zombie-infested sandbox.
